“The only thing that makes Dennis Kucinich unelectable, is an electorate that doesn’t believe in itself…”
(Elizabeth Kucinich, Nov 11, 2007)
You know how it is when you “just know” something is right… that you have THE answer or solution, but no one else realizes it?
America, by and large understands that Kucinich is THE man for the job. He has been right on each and every issue related to Iraq and foreign policy… while “The Right” (and every other Right-lite Democratic candidate) has been wrong, for the most part.
I keep hearing that Dennis is unelectable, but where do I hear this? On the radio… tv… even on the web. The MSM keeps insisting to America that he isn’t electable. America has been permeated with this intentional shell-game and it works, to a certain extent. We have become so dependent on these forms of media that we tend to listen to them to get a feel for how we “feel” in our communities.
Locally I find that people whisper “I’m a Democrat”, while the other side shouts “I’m Republican”. I am not really either, but believe in the ideology that Dennis expresses, as opposed to what I hear from virtually every Republican candidate. But why are people so shy about it o the Dem side? Because they have listened to the MSM dog them for so long that they begin to believe it.
It doesn’t matter that EVERY critical issue that the Right and the Bush Admin has been associated with is a horrible failure. The left is always painted as wrong and done so loud and long that, like torture, people succumb to the lies and idiocy they brainwash us with.
In this vastly red area, since becoming convinced that Dennis is the right person for the challenges we must address now, I have been asking almost everyone that has the time to talk about how they feel about this country and the direction it is headed. I ask them about the candidate they prefer and amazingly, I have yet to find a Republican. None really know of Dennis and his views, but NONE will vote Republican.
Very telling indeed.
So, it boils down to people like me that will get out and simply talk (word of mouth) about Mr Kucinich’s ideas. The only reason this man, who matches ideology with the vast majority of Americans, isn’t “electable” is because we are dumbed down by the media into selecting “their” choices for us. Their choices will always be for them… not the electorate.
Dennis is riding in 4th place in many polls (just barely behind Edwards) and has only spent $1M. Think about that for a moment, as you hear the reports of the vast MILLIONS the other “mainstream” candidates are raising and spending.
It will simply take people talking about the issues at home… on your street… or while getting your hair cut or eyes checked or a doctor’s check-up…
Talk to your family, friends and neighbors about your desires and challenges you face in your area. Then, look for the candidate who meets those same challenges and desires the best.
It is Dennis, hand’s down, for me.

There was a time when I couldn’t give a rat’s patookie about politics or much else except just making ends meet. But it has come time for even lazy assholes like me to stand up to these idiots running this country and try to take back what they are stealing and ruining before our very eyes.I look at the government and see corruption, cronyism and crooks, by and large. However, I still have hope that there are true patriots (like we have had emerge many times in our short history as a nation). These patriots aren’t simple flag wearing religious nutcases or the atheistic “tree-hugging” zealots from either “side” of the spectrum. They will be ideologues with true, self-denying beliefs and standards that they live by.
These patriots will not say whatever they think one wants to hear, depending on the political wind blowing and which Primary or General election is taking place at the moment. No, these patriots will actually stand by their record and can honorably and honestly say they have always adhered to their “Standard”, no matter what it may be.
There are two men running for President of the United States right now that fit that standard… Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. Both are Constitutionalists, but come from radically different viewpoints regarding social issues.
The problem is that hardly any Americans know much about these guys (I’m not talking about us webheads). The MSM media is working hard to keep America dumbed down by the “front-runners” that Big Business wants us to select from. Integrity and Truth be damned.
But when you look at the issues and actual records of these candidates, only these two listed really adhere to their ideologies and are the REAL Democrat and Republican… the REAL Progressive and Conservative running. The others are illusions that shift and change like mirages.
I have my choice and I feel extremely confident that Dennis is the man for the job… the man who can begin to lead this country back on track from the travesty that this Bush Administration (with its faulty neocon agenda) and lapdog Congress has wrought on us… on America. But, I can also understand many of the conservative issues which suggests to me that Ron Paul is the very best choice for that side.
I am doing everything I can to work to help Dennis get more illumination locally, but fighting the Big Business MSM brainwashing is hard. Whether or not he gets the Democratic nod means little to me. I want him to run no matter what, even as an Independent.
That being said, I doubt that either of these men will win the Primaries to get the party nomination, even though they represent America more than any of the other folks running. If they don’t, my hope is that they run together as Indys. Such a diverse ticket, set on Constitutional adherence and the rule of the law may be exactly what we need to heal America from this sickness… this “cancer” called the Bush Administration.

Everyone has their pick for idiot of the day. My pick for today’s IOTD is BuelahMan for even thinking he could design and implement a blog.
If I actually finish this and it survives, the planets must have aligned and the Rapture has taken place.
Or the last remaining scraps of manufacturing have finally left the US and I have lost my business, forced to sit around in my underwear, eating cheetos and posting more mindless hackery for your sympathetic entertainment.
