Its almost the New Year and with it, I have a new year’s resolution to proclaim regarding old friends and haunts and moving on to new progressive relationships based on sound and truthful communication.
I recently had a circumstance arise where in my defense of Dennis Kucinich (at a progressive discussion board I no longer participate at, link to here and will remain forever unnamed) I came to realize that one of Dennis’ biggest obstacles are those who claim to be progressive types continue to spew the meme that Dennis is unelectable or insignificant.
This altercation caused my thoughts to be deleted without any notice and this simply goes to provide fodder for the nincompoop who makes the claim about Dennis.
These people don’t address a single issue about what Dennis represents… they simply reguritate the MSM talking points, as if they know what they are talking about, but it is absolutely clear they are oblivious to what he represents. In other words, they simply fall for the propaganda.
This, supposedly, from one of their “smarter” contributers.
I attended that message board to discuss things. It was the only one I participated at and thereby wasted a great deal of my time, writing at a hidden board, rampant with censorship and deletion. I will also note that a couple of them were considered friends of mine.
Friends don’t censor their friends without notice and explanation. Even if their motivation is just plain stupidity, they should talk about it.
My offense? I said that the poster who considers Dennis, a presidential candidate polling 4th Nationally, insignificant, was insignificant in comparison.
It is quite telling when a hidden, “progressive” “discussion board” begins their horseshit attempts at censorship over such lame rationale. It reminds me of how the Des Moines Register has treated Dennis about the debate. I mean, it wasn’t like I called him a “Pompous Prick” or anything.
It also proved that I don’t pick my friends very well, either. So, hopefully I learn with time. There are a few folks over there that I truly care about, but they usually didn’t have a lot to say to me anyway.
So you want to know what will be “new”? I will share my thoughts here, where only I will read them, but at least some Richard Noggin’ won’t delete it for no real reason except partiality. And if it does get deleted, at least I can address Dick directly.
