How To Dance In The Rain

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80’s, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

 

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him.

 

I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

 

On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

 

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor’s appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

 

I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer’s Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

 

I was surprised, and asked him, ‘And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?’

 

He smiled as he patted my hand and said, ‘She doesn’t know me, but I still know who she is.’

 

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, ‘That is the kind of love I want in my life.’

 

True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

 

With all the jokes and fun that is in e-mails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message. This one I thought I could share with you.

 

The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

 

We all want to receive this kind of love, but somehow, I think, the better part is to be able to give this kind of love. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8) The beautiful thing about Christ’s act on the Cross is that He has prepared a way for us to love like that through Him.

 

I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did.

Is W a Hitler Wannabe?

As a redneck, I am not privy to the high falutin’ people in real life. Just everyday stuff, everyday people. I am not like many, however, that I simply give respect and honor to a person simply because of a “position”. The reason is that I have witnessed too many examples of cronyism and butt-kissing resulting in power, position and glory. It is apparent that becoming a “leader” in this country is more about constructing a storyline… developing a persona/personality that is attractive to people, for whatever reason and through many different means of manipulation.

To get an estimation of truth from these personas… to understand the real person, many times one must dig into history. And what is found is enlightening, but almost unbelievable, especially in lieu of the “storyline persona” that has been developed and brainwashed into our heads by their media (for it is certainly theirs, not ours).

As an example, my dad simply refuses to even consider that W (the POTUS) would lie. So, he will not even consider that a lie may have been used to take us into Iraq. He has so much honor and respect for the office of President that he is willing (or can’t help himself???) to consider W honorable and a great man, no matter what actions or deeds are done under his watch. The POTUS can do no wrong and he will defend his “Commander in Chief” to the death, apparently.

Now I am of the opinion that there is virtually nothing that we should not suspect them of. What I mean is that if virtually everything they do or design is fucked or ends up all FUBAR (tell me ONE thing that hasn’t fallen apart on their watch… just ONE) then anyone who puts full respect and trust into them is, well, a fool. My dad is a blithering fool, apparently (and honestly, with my mom being a lunatic, I wonder what is in store for me… but that is another story).

Now what does all of this have to do with Hitler, you ask… well, just watch the following excerpt of a movie in which John Buchanon lays out his investigative work looking into W’s family and those strong traitorous connections to the Nazis. BrasscheckTV sent this reminder to me this morning and thought rednecks could benefit from seeing this info, then dig a bit for yourselves to see that there is a Nazi connection to W.

People, especially the ReTHUGlicans, throw around the Hitler/Nazi accusation like it is candy thrown to kids in Iraq. But, funny how the real truth about their “god” W has actual real-life links to them.

B’Man’s Sabbath Watch: Sephardi chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu

Jonathon Turley had a post this week regarding this “Rabbi”. Now, I don’t know about you, but as a “Christian”, do you feel that this guy is correct? If so, does that mean that as a Christian that you, too, feel that for every Christian killed, one thousand Muslims should be killed?

Contrarily, do Jews have funny math for Christians? Say, for every Jew killed, that 100 Christians should die?

How does the math work and explain to me how and why I should believe that Christ would agree with any of it?

Math Madness: Leading Rabbi Says Every Jewish Life is Worth 1000 Arab Lives

Former Sephardi chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu used the one month anniversary of the massacre at Mercaz Harav rabbinical seminary by offering his own unique take on the value of a human life: insisting that the life of a single Jew should be re-paid by 1000 Arab lives. He clearly explained that this was not just him talking, it was the “revenge” ordained by God.

Eliyahu told the crowd: “Even when we seek revenge, it is important to make one thing clear – the life of one yeshiva boy is worth more than the lives of 1,000 Arabs . . . The Talmud states that if gentiles rob Israel of silver they will pay it back in gold, and all that is taken will be paid back in folds, but in cases like these there is nothing to pay back, since as I said – the life of one yeshiva boy is worth more than the lives of 1,000 Arabs.” He also sought to establish a life-to-yeshiva ratio: calling on the government to decree that for every life lost in the attack another yeshiva and community will be built.

It seems that moderates on both sides have much work to do.
