Iraq Invasion Multiplies The Number of Terrorists

Crooks and Liars had a post up a couple of days ago focusing on the Surge ’success’, as touted by the right and the MSM. This series was done by an Iraqi man who worked for the Guardian and went in at huge risk to his own life to document the real life of Iraqis and how they feel about the war, democracy and Americans.
Silent Patriot focused on the first segment and linked to the rest (watch all of it for a true view into what is happening after the Surge began).
Part 2 (can you imagine anywhere in the USA where a park is converted into a graveyard with old pieces of
metal as tombstones for all the unidentified dead… as far as the eye can see)
It is the third part that grabbed my attention (I had seen this back in March) because it shows the full extent of how we have actually lost the Iraqis, the ‘war’ and their hearts and minds. The only thing we have done is bring that country to chaos that would never be allowed to happen here. We have divided these people with 12 foot walls, which are the main reason violence is down.
Either the warring factions have been separated into slums, moved to another country or killed off. It sure as hell isn’t that they love each other and are living in harmony.
I feel that no matter which politician goes for a photo opportunity to bolster their polling numbers, I just don’t see us getting the real truth about the travesty that faces those people. But it becomes apparent if you only take the time to watch something like this to realize that no matter what we do at this point, we have
lost the children… an entire generation of people… to absolute hatred and objects of revenge.
The plain fact of the matter that cannot be trivialized because “Saddam was a bad man” and “the world is better off without him” is that we have created an entire generation (or two or three) that hate us and want us out of their lives by whatever means necessary.
We debate if there were “mistakes” made that caused us to invade and kill tens or hundreds of thousands of people, many with little children who witnessed their moms and dads die in front of their eyes, but cannot see how we have totally devastated a country and innocent children.
A simple ‘mistake’. My bad. Catch you on the flip-flop.
I cannot fathom the mental capacity that allows this to go unpunished, much less a shrug of the shoulders for a ‘mistake’. How can Americans allow this? How can we be so blinded by faux patriotism and party adherence that we just turn the channel to the next Brittany snatch shot and forget that it is our money… your and my tax dollars… that are being spent on this bullshit. That it is our name and honor that these maniacs have ravaged and turned into monsters.
Are you not outraged, rednecks?
Don’t you hate being made a fool and the object of worldwide hatred?
Isn’t it time to take this entire group down like the criminals they are?

I think that’s the point. There is none.
What objective measure could be taken when the entire thing is a lie? When all that has been done is ruining those people’s lives.
There simply is no argument left that insists that the world is better off without Saddam Hussein. It simply isn’t true.
The entire thing is a cluster-fuck of immense, unrepairable evil.
