Drop $8 on Nader/Gonzalez now. Why? We’re celebrating again. Because Ralph just polled 8 percent in New Mexico. It is just remarkable. Approaching zero media publicity. And Nader is still polling at six, seven and eight percent in the polls. Check out this one just in from Time/CNN. In three battleground states, Ralph is a factor. In New Mexico, Nader polls 8 percent. In Pennsylvania, Nader is at 7 percent. In Colorado, Nader is at 7 percent. And in Nevada, Ralph is polling 6 percent. And the poll shows that Ralph is pulling votes from across the board. Like we said at the beginning. Build it and they will come. We’re scheduled to be on 45 state ballots by September 12. And we’re ready to rumble. We’re flying under the radar. But not for long. So, help us continue to build the big mo. We need to hit our goal of $100,000 by September 4. And — breaking news — this just in. Ralph Nader will be on Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman. Tomorrow — Thursday August 28, 2008 at 9 a.m. EST. You can listen and watch live on the Internet at democracynow.org. Spread the word. Together, we are making a difference. Onward to November. |

B’Man’s Patriot Watch: Dennis Kucinich’s “Wake Up America!”
Posted by BuelahMan on August 27, 2008
From World Prout:
Congressman Dennis Kucinich’s Rousing Speech Wakes Up America at the DNC
In 2001, the oil companies, the war contractors and the neo con-artists seized the economy and added 4 trillion dollars of unproductive spending to the national debt. We now pay four times more for defense, three times more for gasoline and home heating oil, and twice what we paid for health care. Millions of Americans have lost their jobs, their homes, their health care, their pensions. Trillions of dollars for an unnecessary war paid for with borrowed money. Tens of billions of dollars in cash and weapons disappeared into thin air, at the cost of the lives of our troops and innocent Iraqis, while all the president’s oilmen are maneuvering to grab Iraq’s oil. Borrowed money to bomb bridges in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan–no money to rebuild bridges in America. Money to start a hot war with Iran–now we have another cold war with Russia, And the American economy has become a game of Russian roulette. Now, if there were an Olympics for misleading, mismanaging and misappropriating, this administration would take the gold! World records for violations of national and international laws. They want another four-year term to continue to alienate our allies, spend our children’s inheritance, and hollow out the economy. We cannot afford another Republican administration. Wake up, America! – Dennis Kucinich – My dear Dennis, can we afford another Democratic administration? What’s the difference between the two? Will Obama and Biden end the war, as you say you want, or will they imperialistically carve up Iraq into three pieces and invade Iran and Pakistan? Please tell me. When 90 percent of senators and congressmen of BOTH parties are wholly corrupted, how do you see our nation moving ahead, Dennis? Isn’t something more drastic required? Maybe a new party to replace these charred skeletons of the past? Don’t you agree that these two parties should be thrown into the dustbin of history? Why in the final moment do you return to supporting the corporate candidate, Dennis? It breaks my heart. Why not you and Elizabeth together start a new political party in America and bring together all the moralists of America under one banner and call that banner JUSTICE FOR ALL – and then let’s move together to rebuild our country and our world. How can we create that coalition together, Dennis, when you remain stuck inside the corporate party box?

The Afghan’s Viewpoint Of Our Invasion
Posted by BuelahMan on August 27, 2008
Winning Hearts and Minds
Violence has surged in the Afghanistan this year, with Nato struggling against a resurgent Taliban.
As always, it’s the civilians who are suffering. Many have been forced to flee and find a new home wherever they can.
Zeina Khodr reports from Kabul.
How would that Tennessee Redneck Farmer feel if Afghanistan had invaded our country and that good ole farmer had been done the way these farmers had been done?
Oh, wait a minute. We can’t actually consider the real life circumstances that WE caused for these people. We can’t think of how the shoe would feel on the other foot. Can we?
