B’Man’s Patriot Watch: Operation Itch – 1 MILLION FOR IMPEACHMENT!
Posted by BuelahMan on September 2, 2008
My buddy Davis Fleetwood (The Hermit) has a new blog called Operation Itch. Also, join the Operation Itch social & political network today. Share your videos, blogs and/or connect with other progressives.
He featured a video today that is imploring Americans to stand up and fight for America. To wake up and see what has been done to the country and constitution and do DO SOMETHING to help.
Please sign the impeachment petition. If there isn’t another thing you do in your life that you consider helping America, this could be the most important.
Oh yeah, I am featured in the intro of the video.
You can see the original post here.
As Glenn Greenwald and others have been documenting, the police tactics at the RNC don’t look like the America most people want to think that they live in. Then again, most of America is not paying attention. What does Amy Goodman getting arrested for covering protests at the RNC this have to do with Impeachment? I’ll try to make my case in the video below.
Visit KUCINICH.US to sign the petition today. Then grab this link- and send it to 100 and ask them to send it another 100:

US To Strike Iran In The Coming Weeks
Posted by BuelahMan on September 2, 2008
The guys at Not Another CONspiracy have an illuminating article for the Jerusalem Post that suggests that we are just weeks away from an unmanned aerial attack on sensitive Iranian targets (supposedly nuclear facilities)…
The Dutch intelligence service, the AIVD, has called off an operation aimed at infiltrating and sabotaging Iran’s weapons industry due to an assessment that a US attack on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program is imminent, according to a report in the country’s De Telegraaf newspaper on Friday.
The report claimed that the Dutch operation had been “extremely successful,” and had been stopped because the US military was planning to hit targets that were “connected with the Dutch espionage action.”
The impending air-strike on Iran was to be carried out by unmanned aircraft “within weeks,” the report claimed, quoting “well placed” sources.
The Jerusalem Post could not confirm the De Telegraaf report.
According to the report, information gleaned from the AIVD’s operation in Iran has provided several of the targets that are to be attacked in the strike, including “parts for missiles and launching equipment.”
“Information from the AIVD operation has been shared in recent years with the CIA,” the report said.
On Saturday, Iran’s Deputy Chief of Staff General Masoud Jazayeri warned that should the United States or Israel attack Iran, it would be the start of another World War.
On Friday, Ma’ariv reported that Israel had made a strategic decision to deny Iran military nuclear capability and would not hesitate “to take whatever means necessary” to prevent Teheran from achieving its nuclear goals.
According to the report, whether the United States and Western countries succeed in thwarting the Islamic Republic’s nuclear ambitions diplomatically, through sanctions, or whether a US strike on Iran is eventually decided upon, Jerusalem has begun preparing for a separate, independent military strike.

Tax Incentives For Tennessee VW Plant Total $577 million
Posted by BuelahMan on September 2, 2008
In continuing coverage from previous editions of Daily Executive Briefing, the AP (8/30, Poovey) reported that that “Tennessee’s financial incentives for Volkswagen (VW) to pick Chattanooga total $577.4 million, apparently the largest such offer to an automaker joining the South’s lineup of assembly plants.” Tennessee Economic and Community Development Commissioner Matt Kisber announced the incentives package last week, and said that “he does not know if the total is a record offer to an automaker.” The AP noted that a “state report shows the German automaker’s July selection of Chattanooga for the $1 billion plant that will have 2,000 employees is expected to create another 9,477 related jobs.” Kisber said that “the incentives package is not the most important part of recruiting a major company like Volkswagen.” VW spokeswoman Jill Bratina agreed with Kisber, “saying the incentives ‘play an important role’ but the selection of Chattanooga as the plant site is mainly due to finding the ‘right partner’ for the company’s future plans.”

Democracy Now’s Amy Goodman Speaks About Her Arrest

Republican National Convention
Martial Law at the RNC
If you deny that the U.S. is CURRENTLY under Martial Law you are not only locked into complete psychological denial you are an imbecile and a fool. Time to awaken; it is the Fall, the days are growing shorter.
Martial Law actually used to be called “Maritime Law” because Navies used to be the controlling/policing entity and primary military force of the globe. Then it was changed to “Martial Law.” Some still use “Maritime Law” especially old salty dogs.
But either way; local “law enforcement” and Homeland Security have basically fully made the transition into Federal Agents now.
After George HW Bush called up Martial Law in 1992 due to the Los Angels “Riots” of 1992 when the 1st Marines from Camp Pendleton, California and the 1st Armored Infantry Battalion form Fort Ord, California were deployed upon the city of Los Angeles. Under George HW Bush and for the first time in the history of the United States Posse Comitadus was repealed and US Federal Troops invaded their own country and killed their own people.
George HW Bush never truly and fully repealed his declaration of Martial Law once he called for it and that’s why he made his infamous “New World Order will be a success” speech that we all know and love so well…
Then it was only a matter of his son capturing the Throne so he continue the work his father King George I had began.
King George II has since installed 27 “Presidential Directives”, forced the FISA bill on the nation, empowered FEMA and created Homeland Security which all together completed his fathers earlier work and finalized the official but “unannounced” transition into full “Martial Law.”
Modern Definition of Martial Law:
Martial law is when military-like actions are taken upon a nations own citizens and constitutional and human rights are violated on a regular basis as part of a standard operating procedure (SOP).
It is when you cannot protest without a “permit” and your freedom of speech is silenced.
It is basically what they call a “police state”. It is when the “police” are trained by and act like federal officials/military police rather than the civilian peace keepers they are supposed to be.
It is when random AND permanent checkpoints are set up by Homeland Security and police officers like they have now all over the country especially along interstate-highway 8 and 10.
Many believe that martial law is ONLY when the actual Army/Marines/National Guard patrol the streets but this is incorrect as these troops are committed in Iraq and Afghanistan and attending to the other 1100 U.S. military bases that are outside of the U.S.
Homeland Security and the local police departments have been trained by federal agents and are federal agents and in these modern times are now enforcing obvious martial law.
The days of the Army rolling down the street in tanks is over as it is unnecessary because the U.S. citizens have been pacified enough and Homeland Security and the Police have been trained and armed enough to where this would surely be overkill.
Besides there are US National Guard bases in the majority of 30,000+ population towns and the troops are committed overseas.
A basic example of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for martial law would be the internment camps they have set-up in Colorado in preparation for the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
If the country was not under martial law setting up these kind of warehouse-style camps which are being hidden from the media and the citizens would not be permitted by the city, county or state.
Watch a White House press conference and/or go to your local court house and peak inside a court room and look at the American Flag.
You will notice that the flag will have gold tassel around it’s borders. If you understand this and have any education in these matters you would know in fact that it is a Federal Crime to attach ANYTHING to the American Flag.
The ONLY thing that can be attached to the American Flag by Federal law under penalty of prosecution are GOLD TASSELS, GOLD FRINGE and they can ONLY be attached in the case of MARTIAL LAW ordered by the President of the United States of America.
Of course under martial law information, education, news, networks and the internet (as seen nightly on FOX news and CNN) are censored therefor research on this subject is not the easiest although it can be done.
The only reference/evidence that they could give were actual military/Department of Defense manuals in which the assertion of Martial Law and the indicators of the fringed and tasseled flag were referenced.

Palin disclosures raise questions about vetting
Alaskans say no one from McCain camp asked them about eventual VP pick
video report of over-shadowing questions at convention>

may have to c/p into address bar… sorry.
[ well just a thought here folks…lol-- I guess since Palin appears to of had no time to think before saying yes to McInsane… her first plane to adopt this child too had to make a different turn…lol lol,…]
ST. PAUL – A series of disclosures about Gov. Sarah Palin, Senator John McCain’s choice as running mate, called into question on Monday how thoroughly Mr. McCain had examined her background before putting her on the Republican presidential ticket.
On Monday morning, Ms. Palin and her husband, Todd, issued a statement saying that their 17-year-old unmarried daughter, Bristol, was five months pregnant and that she intended to marry the father.
Among other less attention-grabbing news of the day: it was learned that Ms. Palin now has a private lawyer in a legislative ethics investigation in Alaska into whether she abused her power in dismissing the state’s public safety commissioner; that she was a member for two years in the 1990s of the Alaska Independence Party, which has at times sought a vote on whether the state should secede; and that Mr. Palin was arrested 22 years ago on a drunken-driving charge.
Aides to Mr. McCain said they had a team on the ground in Alaska now to look more thoroughly into Ms. Palin’s background. A Republican with ties to the campaign said the team assigned to vet Ms. Palin in Alaska had not arrived there until Thursday, a day before Mr. McCain stunned the political world with his vice-presidential choice.
Although the McCain campaign said that Mr. McCain had known about Bristol Palin’s pregnancy before he asked her mother to join him on the ticket and that he did not consider it disqualifying, top aides were vague on Monday about how and when he had learned of the pregnancy, and from whom.
While there was no sign that her formal nomination this week was in jeopardy, the questions swirling around Ms. Palin on the first day of the Republican National Convention, already disrupted by Hurricane Gustav, brought anxiety to Republicans who worried that Democrats would use the selection of Ms. Palin to question Mr. McCain’s judgment and his ability to make crucial decisions.
At the least, Republicans close to the campaign said it was increasingly apparent that Ms. Palin had been selected as Mr. McCain’s running mate with more haste than McCain advisers initially described.
A rushed pick?
Up until midweek last week, some 48 to 72 hours before Mr. McCain introduced Ms. Palin at a Friday rally in Dayton, Ohio, Mr. McCain was still holding out the hope that he could name as his running mate a good friend, Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, independent of Connecticut, a Republican close to the campaign said. Mr. McCain had also been interested in another favorite, former Gov. Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania.
But both men favor abortion rights, anathema to the Christian conservatives who make up a crucial base of the Republican Party. As word leaked out that Mr. McCain was seriously considering the men, the campaign was bombarded by outrage from influential conservatives who predicted an explosive floor fight at the convention and vowed rejection of Mr. Ridge or Mr. Lieberman by the delegates.
erhaps more important, several Republicans said, Mr. McCain was getting advice that if he did not do something to shake up the race, his campaign would be stuck on a potentially losing trajectory.
With time running out — and as Mr. McCain discarded two safer choices, Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts, as too predictable — he turned to Ms. Palin. He had his first face-to-face interview with her on Thursday and offered her the job moments later.
“They didn’t seriously consider her until four or five days from the time she was picked, before she was asked, maybe the Thursday or Friday before,” said a Republican close to the campaign. “This was really kind of rushed at the end, because John didn’t get what he wanted. He wanted to do Joe or Ridge.”
Mr. McCain’s advisers said repeatedly on Monday that Ms. Palin was “thoroughly vetted,” a process that would have included a review of all financial and legal records as well as a criminal background check. A McCain aide said that the campaign was well aware of the ethics investigation and that it had looked into it.
People familiar with the process said Ms. Palin had responded to a standard form with more than 70 questions.
“It was obviously something that anybody Googling Sarah Palin knew was in the news and there was a very thorough vetting done on that and also on the daughter,” the aide said.
Locals say no one talked to them
Mark Salter, Mr. McCain’s closest adviser, said in an e-mail message that Ms. Palin had been interviewed by Arthur B. Culvahouse Jr., a veteran Washington lawyer in charge of the vice-presidential vetting process for Mr. McCain, as well as by other lawyers who worked for Mr. Culvahouse. Mr. Salter did not respond to an e-mail message asking if Ms. Palin had told Mr. Culvahouse and his lawyers that her daughter was pregnant.
In Alaska, several state leaders and local officials said they knew of no efforts by the McCain campaign to find out more information about Ms. Palin before the announcement of her selection, Although campaigns are typically discreet when they make inquiries into potential running mates, officials in Alaska said Monday they thought it was peculiar that no one in the state had the slightest hint that Ms. Palin might be under consideration.
“They didn’t speak to anyone in the Legislature, they didn’t speak to anyone in the business community,” said Lyda Green, the State Senate president, who lives in Wasilla, where Ms. Palin served as mayor.
Representative Gail Phillips, a Republican and former speaker of the State House, said the widespread surprise in Alaska when Ms. Palin was named to the ticket made her wonder how intensively the McCain campaign had vetted her.
“I started calling around and asking, and I have not been able to find one person that was called,” Ms. Phillips said. “I called 30 to 40 people, political leaders, business leaders, community leaders. Not one of them had heard. Alaska is a very small community, we know people all over, but I haven’t found anybody who was asked anything.”
Trying to keep a secret
The current mayor of Wasilla, Dianne M. Keller, said she had not heard of any efforts to look into Ms. Palin’s background. And Randy Ruedrich, the state Republican Party chairman, said he knew nothing of any vetting that had been conducted.
State Senator Hollis French, a Democrat who is directing the ethics investigation, said that no one asked him about the allegations. “I heard not a word, not a single contact,” he said.
Mr. French, a former prosecutor, said that he was knowledgeable about background checks and that, he, too, was surprised that the campaign had not reached out to state legislative leaders.
A number of Republicans said the McCain campaign had to some degree tied its hands in its effort to keep the selection process so secret.
“If you really want it to be a surprise, the circle of people that you’re going to allow to know about it is going to be small, and that’s just the nature of it,” said Dan Bartlett, a former counselor to President Bush and an adviser in both of his presidential campaigns.
Former McCain strategists disagreed on whether it would have been useful for Ms. Palin’s name to have been more publicly floated before her selection so that issues like the trooper investigation and her daughter’s pregnancy might have already been aired and not seemed so new at the time of her announcement.
Catch-22
“Had the story been written about the state trooper three months ago, nobody would care about it anymore,” said Dan Schnur, a former McCain aide who now directs the Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics at the University of Southern California. “It’s a risk. No matter how great the candidate, it’s a significant risk to put someone on the ticket” who hasn’t been publicly scrutinized.
“They obviously felt it was worth the risk to rev up the base and potentially reach out to Clinton supporters,” Mr. Schnur said.
But Howard Opinsky, another McCain veteran, said calling attention to Ms. Palin’s possible candidacy during the search process would have undermined the impact of her eventual selection.
“Had her name been played out in the press for months and months, she wouldn’t have been seen as so bold,” Mr. Opinsky said. “You either get freshness and you have to live with what you get in your vetting or you lose the freshness.”
