Marijuana Policy Presidential Video Voter Guide

Join MPP-TV’s Noah Brozinsky as he reviews five of the 2008 presidential candidates’ positions on marijuana policy.

Nader offers the best policy because it protects people and also provides for tax money, altho the Green Party’s is a very close second, imo

Oh, and I just don’t trust Grand Pa.

Ralph Nader: No Democracy in America

Posted by BuelahMan on September 12, 2008

THIS is how they lock you out of hearing the real issues. This is how they brainwash you into the two-party system of identical twins and make you believe this is the best you have to choose from.

Rednecks, this is why I call you ’sheeple’ if you don’t understand the significance of the truth. This is why I get angry, because it is so damned obvious… AND there is a solution.

From Youtube:

This is a clip from the film AN UNREASONABLE MAN
======================================== ===
From answers.com:
“Though the commission [on Presidential Debates] is meant to sound like a official government arm, it is actually a private entity, funded entirely by corporate contributions from companies like AT&T, IBM, Philip Morris, and others.”

To this day, even after shutting out Ralph Nader, the COMMISSION ON PRESIDENTAL DEBATES is still rigged by former Republicans and former Democrats.
======================================== ===

The following mission statement is from the COMMISSION ON PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES’ own website. Take note of the LIE in the last sentence where they insist that they sponsored “ALL” candidates!
======================================== ==
“The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) was established in 1987 to ensure that debates, as a permanent part of every general election, provide the best possible information to viewers and listeners. Its primary purpose is to sponsor and produce debates for the United States presidential and vice presidential candidates and to undertake research and educational activities relating to the debates. The organization, which is a nonprofit, nonpartisan corporation, sponsored all the presidential debates in 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2004.”
======================================== ===

WHY AREN’T THE MAJOR NEWS MEDIA NETWORKS RUNNING THESE DEBATES.

WHY IS A PRIVATE CORPORATION RUN BY DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS RUNNING THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES?

HOW CAN THE DEBATES BE TRUSTED IF THEY ARE RIGGED BY THE TWO LEADING PARTIES WHICH ARE MERELY TWO SIDES OF THE SAME WORTHLESS COIN?

WHY ARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ALLOWING THIS SHAM TO CONTINUE?

IT IS IN THEIR OWN SELF INTEREST FOR THE COMMISSION ON PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES NOT TO ALLOW THIRD-PARTY CANDIDATES TO PARTICIPATE IN PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES.

THE DEMOCRATS AND THE REPUBLICANS HAVE AN UNLAWFUL MONOPOLY ON WHO MAY OR MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE US PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES.

The Commission sponsors and produces debates for the United States presidential and vice presidential candidates and undertakes research and educational activities relating to the debates. Prior to this, the League of Women Voters moderated the 1976, 1980, 1984 debates.

During the 2000 election, the CPD stipulated that that candidates would only be invited to debate if they had a 15 percent support level across five national polls. Ralph Nader believed that the regulation was created to stifle the views of third party candidates by keeping them off the televised debates. Nader brought a lawsuit against them in a federal court, on that basis that corporate contributions violate the Federal Election Campaign Act

Meet George Jetson…

Flying car available for a mere $250,000. From Ecotality Life:

A Dream Realized? A Flying Car For $250K.

For every commuter who has ever been stuck in traffic and dreamed of simply lifting off in their car and flying over the crowded street, this flying car, ahem, road-able aircraft is for you.

The autovolantor prototype was recently developed by Moller International whose rotary engine is designed specifically for compact, high power-to-weight applications. Interestingly, this particular prototype was developed at the behest of a wealthy foreign businessman who was unable to commute from the city to his country home due to the overcrowded streets of Moscow. Thus, Moller International created this two-passenger sports car with the capability of vertical lift off and a flight speed of 150 mph, which will likely get you to work on time.

The autovolantor cost $5 million dollars to develop. However, Moller International believes it could be sold for $250,000, raising many interesting questions about operator licensing, air space, and the overall politics of innovative technologies. Regardless of the questions, the autovolantor gives us the answer to commuter woes and at the very least, offers us something to dream about as we sit in traffic.

The USA Drug Policy and Its Drug Czar Are Failures

Posted by BuelahMan on September 12, 2008

B’Man: From Alternet, a breakdown of exactly why the USA’s drug policy and its sychophantic leader is a failure…

New Drug Survey Demolishes Drug Czar’s Claims

By Bruce Mirken, AlterNet

“When we push back against the drug problem, it gets smaller.”

– John Walters, White House Drug Czar

Well, now we know why federal officials chose to release the 2007 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) on a day when the Republican convention’s climax and a string of hurricanes is likely to keep it out of the headlines. The survey pretty much dynamites Office of National Drug Control Policy chief John Walters’ claims of success in reducing marijuana and drug use during his tenure, which he’d like us to attribute to his aggressive policies, and particularly ONDCP’s near-obsession with demonizing marijuana.

First, some raw numbers: The total number of Americans who have used illicit drugs is up from 108 million in 2002, the first full year of Walters’ tenure, to 114 million in 2007. And the number of Americans who’ve used marijuana has passed the 100 million mark for the first time — up from 95 million in 2002.

Rates of drug use have gone up as well. In 2002, 46.0 percent of Americans had used an illicit drug at some point in their lives. In 2007 it was 46.1 percent. For marijuana, the rate went from 40.4 percent to 40.6 percent. Both the “any illicit drug” and marijuana use rates had dropped a bit in 2006 and spiked notably in the new survey. Illicit use of painkillers such as OxyContin is up notably — a disturbing trend considering the addictive nature of such drugs, not to mention the risk of fatal overdose (a nonexistent risk with marijuana). “Current” (past 30 days) use of illicit drugs is down only marginally since 2002 — from 8.3 percent to 8.0 percent for all illicit drugs, and the trend for marijuana is similar.

And, strikingly, despite all of Walters’ huffing and puffing about marijuana, the number of Americans starting marijuana use for the first time has not budged during his tenure.

If this is success, someone please tell me what failure looks like.

But wait, there’s more. ONDCP officials regularly argue that maintaining criminal penalties for marijuana possession is essential to stopping drug abuse. So what’s happened with a dangerous drug whose possession is legal: cigarettes? NSDUH conveniently provides figures for past-month cigarette use, and both the number of users and the rate of cigarette use is down markedly. In 2002, 26 percent of Americans were current cigarette smokers; now it’s 24.2 percent, continuing a decades-long decline. And the decline in current cigarette smoking for 12-to-17-year-olds is even more dramatic, from 13 percent to 9.8 percent.

That, of course, is with zero arrests for cigarette possession, compared with 739,000 marijuana possession arrests in 2006 (the last year for which stats are available).

The numbers are in. Marijuana prohibition is a wasteful farce. And John Walters’ tenure as drug czar has been a failure.

Who Runs The USA? Big Money

Posted by BuelahMan on September 12, 2008

You see me write about ‘Big Money’ pretty often. It is a pretty broad stroke of nomenclature for a very significant few very rich entities and individuals. When you look at my list of catergories you will see that I list ‘Big Money’, then break down various entities that fall underneath that broader heading.

One of the most misunderstood issues of our policies (and subsequently, the outline and hierarchy of ‘Big Money’) is how these entities work underneath ‘Big Money’. This is not a situation where there is some rich kingpin that dictates to all the underlying entities what they are supposed to do to achieve Big Money’s goal of imperialisation and world dominance. All of these underlying entities (Big Military, Big Banking, Big Oil, etc) have their own agendas, but they all feed towards the goal of Big Money. ‘Big Money’ uses the entities’ own issues and goals to end up with their domination.

In other words, (and a single example that the attached article also makes) the neocons are a tool of ‘Big Money’ to get America to fall for the faux patriotism and to lead this country into the wars it is in (obviously through lies and deceit) and into this unending empire-building all over the world.

But ‘Big Money’ also owns both political parties, so it doesn’t really matter “who” wins, they will both provide the means for Big Money to continue its dominance and world takeover. This is why this election will boil down to who is the meanest pitbull name-caller and why one should never question a POW (even tho he votes with the very ones who have fucked this country so badly it is unlikely we will survive as we would all like).

“How dare you question Mr McCain?” “How dare you call her a pig in lipstick?” “How dare you mention a Governor’s daughter’s illegitimate child?”

It is all about NOTHING, and you rednecks are falling for it.

If I cannot make my explanation of Big Money and its control of virtually everything within this country (and the world), please read Joe Schembrie’s article at World Prout and see what another, more enlightened person has to say about the subject:

The Federal Reserve’s War Against the Human Race

American foreign policy is corrupted by a powerful influence so arrogantly reckless it endangers the human race. This influence isn’t Big Oil or Zionism, which are merely tools of the real power. The real power that controls US foreign policy is Big Money – the central banking institution known as the Federal Reserve System.

The ultimate in corporate welfare, the Fed is a government-supported banking cartel which creates trillions of dollars from mere bookkeeping entries. The $123 billion in Big Oil profits last year is trivial in comparison. In political clout, Big Money is the driver and Big Oil is only along for the ride.

Likewise, Israel is also but a passenger. True, US foreign policy is dominated by neoconservative ideologues, but the neocons are politically powerful because of their lobbies, and their lobbies get their money from financiers who get their money from investment bankers who get their money from the central bankers of the Federal Reserve. The neocons may sincerely believe in their own agenda but they have power only because the central bankers need them to feign a patriotic/nationalistic smokescreen so that citizens will sacrifice and soldiers will die for a foreign policy whose real purpose is to enrich the central bankers.

No wonder the neocon narrative has plot holes. For example, if the neocons favor democracy, why support Saudi Arabia, the most repressive regime in the Middle East? Why attack Iraq, which had no connection with terrorists and no weapons of mass destruction, and why support Pakistan, which has both? Why so eager to immediately attack Iran, which is years from developing nuclear weapons? And most bizarrely of all, why did the neocons push Georgia into a hopeless war against Russia?

None of this protects the US or Israel from “Islamo-Fascism.” Instead, the neocons defer to the key foreign policy objective of the central bankers, which is: Keep the Dollar Strong. A strong dollar will dominate as the world’s reserve currency and serve as the international medium of exchange, and as the global economy grows, demand for reserve currency increases and the central bankers reap enormous wealth by trading their otherwise worthless little green pieces of paper for the world’s resources.

Unfortunately, the central bankers are too greedy. Over-inflating the money supply, they undermine the dollar’s value. In desperation, to keep the dollar as world reserve currency, the Fed pressures its oil-producing vassal states – especially the US puppet regime in Saudi Arabia – to accept only dollars in exchange for oil. As oil is the world’s most essential commodity, the world must trade in dollars to survive.

Thus the neocons show fealty to the Fed. They ignore Saudi repression, because Saudi oil keeps the dollar strong. The neocons attacked Iraq because it was a major oil producer that dared sell in currencies other than the dollar. The neocons want to attack Iran now for the same reason.

The neocons would also love to attack Russia, the world’s second largest oil producer, for it too refuses to bow before the Almighty Petrodollar. However, Russia really has weapons of mass destruction, and so the neocons pursued indirect confrontation by encouraging their puppet regime in Georgia to attack South Ossetia, a Russian ally. The Russians predictably retaliated, and frightened Europeans are pulling investments from Russia and questioning their reliance on Russian oil. End result: the dollar rules on.
The neocons knew Georgia couldn’t beat Russia. Localized military defeat for global financial victory was the game plan. As neoconservative Jeane Kirkpatrick revealed during the Cold War: “Russia is playing chess, while we are playing Monopoly.” And so Russia loudly stakes out a square while the Fed quietly buys up the board.

Very clever – but in provoking a deadly confrontation with a nuclear power, did the central bankers let greed go too far? To dilute our currency at a cost of thousands of dollars a year per citizen is criminal, but to risk the annihilation of civilization is depraved.
Dismissing feeble altruistic rationalizations, we see the Federal Reserve’s power to create unlimited amounts of money at whim has caused our monetary overlords to lose touch with humanity and wage war against the human race. Such unbounded egomania is a natural consequence of being insulated from economic, political, and moral accountability during the Fed’s century-long reign of corruption.

For our freedom, prosperity, and survival, the Federal Reserve scam of the central bankers must be abolished – before more wealth is dissipated by their parasitical monetary system, or another life is lost to their vampirical foreign policy.

Freaky Sex Friday: Teaching Kids To “Love” Dogs

Man Accused Of Sex With Dog, Forcing Child To Watch

A Castle Rock man is accused of having sex with a dog and forcing a 7-year-old boy to watch.

Jason Lee McRoberts, 30, was in court Thursday in Grand Junction, where the alleged incident occurred.According to a police affidavit obtained by 7NEWS, the boy stayed with the man from August to December 2007. It was during this time that the boy said “Jason” had sex with a male dog named JoJo in the bedroom of a Grand Junction home they shared.

The boy told police that “Jason” instructed him to watch because he should learn how to do it himself.

Mesa County District Attorney Pete Hautzinger said he’s never seen anything like the case before.

McRoberts, a former resident of Grand Junction, is under investigation on a felony obscenity charge and posted a $1,000 cash bond after his hearing Thursday. He’s also wanted on a Grand Junction police warrant for indecent exposure, according to the police affidavit.

Hautzinger told the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel that it is not clear whether McRoberts will face any child-abuse counts.

The alleged incident came to light in June, when the boy’s mother said she caught her son trying to have sex with the family dog and he told her that he had learned how from “Jason.” The boy and his mother live in Amarillo, Texas.
