Did You Know That America Is In A Recession?

Posted by BuelahMan on November 6, 2008

According to one of my favorite blogs, Think Progress, they show where the US Government has finally acknowledged there is a problem.

Nice to know that our leaders are on top of things:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a traditionally pro-industry institution, today admitted that the country is in a recession. “We are currently in — or the National Bureau of Economic Research will shortly determine we’re in — a recession,” said the Chamber’s Bruce Josten. He said the recession “will not be a shallow recession” and that unemployment could rise to as high as 7 percent in 2009.

Hot Damn. They finally caught up with what this redneck (and the rest of America) has known for many months.

Salute!

Israel’s “Man In The Whitehouse”

Posted by BuelahMan on November 6, 2008

If someone doesn’t believe that Barack Obama won’t be led by Zionistic influence, you don’t know who he is surrounding himself with. Do you know who Rahm Emanuel is and where he comes from and what armed force he served in?

Don’t let anyone lie to you or try to say that Mr Obama is not a war monger. He is surrounding himself with war mongers and it is a very clear indication of what our foreign policy will continue to be… led by the Zionists. From Al Arabiya News Channel.

Dubai (AlArabiya.net, Agencies)

U.S. President-elect Barack Obama has asked Illinois congressman and former soldier in the Israeli army, Rahm Emanuel to head his White House staff as he moves quickly to fill government jobs in his incoming administration.

Party sources said the job was offered to fellow Chicagoan Emanuel on Wednesday, just hours after Obama was elected, and he was expected to quickly accept the post — making him one of the most important people of Obama’s new inside circle.

Emanuel volunteered to serve in the Israeli army and did a two-month stint at a base in northern Israel during the 1991 Gulf War, Israeli public radio reported.

Israel radio stations and newspapers pointed out Emanuel’s Occupied Jerusalem-born father was once a member of Irgun, an underground, ultra-nationalist Jewish movement that fought British troops before the 1948 creation of the state of Israel.

And, yes, Israel feels like Rahm’s inclusion is a sign that they will have big influence in the White House.

I dunno about you, but I am sick and tired of the Israeli tail wagging the American dog:

Israeli media hails decision

Israeli media on Thursday hailed Barack Obama’s choice of Rahm Emanuel to be his chief of staff, with one daily calling the Democrat of Israeli descent “our man in the White House.”

“It is obvious he will exert influence on the president to be pro-Israeli,” Emanuel’s father, who moved to the United States in the 1960s, told the Maariv daily.

The newspaper headlined the article: “Our man in the White House.”

“Emanuel is pro-Israeli, and would not be willing to consider accepting the job unless he was convinced that President-elect Obama is pro-Israel” Israeli website Ynet, cited a source close to Emanuel as saying.

Does this mean that a person that is “pro-Israel” must be “anti-Palestine”? Why, according to the shift-changing President Elect, I believe it must.

When Barack Obama went to Israel not long ago, he did not visit the oppressed he was so fervently defending just a few years ago (when it was politically expedient to do so).

Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people.”

Yet AIPAC took him to task and soon the rhetoric changed to be fully supporting of the Israeli oppression.

How ’bout Biden, the guy who said, “I am a Zionist. You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist.” Do you think he may be influenced by AIPAC and Zionism?

Nah…

Posted by BuelahMan on November 6, 2008

From my friend Dutch at Dutchoven08:

American Politician’s ‘InAction’ has lead this country into a final swirl around the drain.

The ambiguous offer of ‘Hope and Change’ has left us upbeat and empty handed.

The time is now to tell our representatives to start representin! or we’ll kick ass and take names.

A Ralph Nader Presidency is our last, best opportunity to turn around the sins of the Bush administration.

So, come aboard and vote for Truth, Justice and genuine Peace!

The Best Place To Hide A Crack Pipe?

Posted by BuelahMan on November 6, 2008

In your ‘crack’, of course…

Well, maybe not:

Cops find crack pipe in woman’s buttocks

Police who arrested a woman for stealing money from a car found a glass crack pipe hidden between her buttocks.

Cops made the surprise discovery during a routine search on Evelyn Russo while she was being booked for taking $2 in change.

Read the rest here. See the picture and ask yourself, “Would I look in this woman’s crack for paraphernalia?”

Michigan & Massachusetts: Where Brilliance Is Obvious

Posted by BuelahMan on November 6, 2008

It has been obvious for years that the “War on Weed” has been an utter failure that has imprisoned millions of people who were never a danger to society. It has ruined lives and for what?

Money!

Big Prison is alive and well and I bet this is a huge strike to them. Small amounts of marijuana for personal consumption simply should not be illegal. There is no real good rationale for it anymore, now that the stigma of the 1030’s has been scientifically proved so very wrong. No amount of “Reefer Madness” propaganda can deny the scientific facts about the stuff and it appears some Americans are realizing it.

Again, studying history makes it easy enough to understand the motives behind it and after our glorious Uber President, Bill Clinton, made it even worse on “offenders”, we have learned so much more (but not through the government agencies which hide data they don’t want the public to know and illuminate and distort the data they want to force on us through the complicit MSM).

There are more marijuana possession arrests than all violent crimes in America. Yes, it is Big Money and they will fight this just like they have been for many years.

There simply is NO dispute that alcohol, tobacco and even prescription drugs are far more detrimental to a person and society than cannabis. I challenge anyone to debate me on this subject, because the data is in and it appears that Michigan and Massachusetts citizens have finally figured this out.

There must be some very smart people that live in those states.

From Alternet’s Drug Reporter:

Pot Wins in a Landslide: A Thundering Rejection of America’s Longest War

On Tuesday, largely under the radar of the pundits and political chattering classes, voters dealt what may be a fatal blow to America’s longest-running and least-discussed war — the war on marijuana.

Michigan voters made their state the 13th to allow the medical use of marijuana by a whopping 63 percent to 37 percent, the largest margin ever for a medical marijuana initiative. And by 65 percent to 35 percent, Massachusetts voters decriminalized the possession of up to an ounce of marijuana, replacing arrests, legal fees, court appearances, the possibility of jail and a lifelong criminal record with a $100 fine, much like a traffic ticket, that can be paid through the mail.

What makes these results so amazing is that they followed the most intensive anti-marijuana campaign by federal officials since the days of “Reefer Madness.” Marijuana arrests have been setting all-time records year after year, reaching the point where one American is arrested on marijuana charges every 36 seconds. More Americans are arrested each year for marijuana possession — not sales or trafficking, just possession — than for all violent crimes combined.

And the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, with “drug czar” John Walters at the helm, has led a hysterical anti-marijuana propaganda campaign. During Walters’ tenure, ONDCP has released at least 127 separate anti-marijuana TV, radio and print ads, at a cost of hundreds of millions of tax dollars, plus 34 press releases focused mainly on marijuana, while no fewer than 50 reports from ONDCP and other federal agencies focused on the alleged evils of marijuana or touted anti-marijuana campaigns.

Walters himself campaigned personally in Michigan against the medical marijuana initiative, calling it an “abomination” and claiming yet again that there is no evidence that marijuana has medical value — an assertion flatly contradicted by at least four published clinical trials in just the last two years.

In Massachusetts, the state’s political and law enforcement establishment lined up solidly against the marijuana decriminalization initiative, including both Republican and Democratic politicians and all 11 district attorneys — several of whom actually admitted to having smoked marijuana. They warned of rampant drug abuse and crime should the measure pass, simply ignoring the fact that no such thing has happened in the 11 other states (including California, Ohio and New York) that have had similar laws for years.

Voters were having none of it, giving a thumping rejection to government officials’ lies and hysteria in both states. Americans have taken a hard look at our national war on marijuana and rejected it for the cruel, counterproductive disaster that it is.

The voters are right. Of over 872,000 arrests in one year, 89 percent are for possession only.

What has this gotten us? Not much. Marijuana arrests weren’t the only thing that set a record last year. So did the number of Americans who have tried marijuana. Usage rates came down marginally in the last few years but are still higher than in the early 1990s. Marijuana is our nation’s number one cash crop.

The one thing our costly and futile efforts to “eradicate” marijuana have accomplished is to create a boom for criminal gangs, to whom we’ve handed a monopoly on production and distribution. Unlike producers of legal drugs like beer, wine or tobacco, these criminals pay no taxes and obey no rules. Their illicit efforts despoil our national forests and bring violence and destabilization to Mexico.

For years, politicians who know our current marijuana laws make no sense have been afraid to change them for fear of political retribution. The voters’ thundering rejection of our misguided war on marijuana shows that those fears are misplaced.

It’s time for Congress and the new administration — not to mention state governments around the country — to listen to the public. It’s time for a new approach.
