Marijuana Does NOT Cause Lung Cancer: It Prevents It

Posted by BuelahMan on November 18, 2008

A great series of videos tearing down the myths of marijuana consumption provided by the Marijuana Policy Project called Marijuana Two Minute Truths is a great tool to use to inform yourself and friends that our government is completely backwards in its rationale against this wonder drug.

Cannabis is the healing of the world! Nobody says that Cannabis is good for you? Well, Cannabinoids seem to wipe out cancer cells, tests on the toxicity of Cannabinoids with pure delta 9 tetra hydro cannabinol in rats and mice show an endurance of life span … I think when the psychedelic effects that some compounds of the Cannabis flower have do not inter fear with a normal life, in sense of social behaviour, food, health, well being, I say it is good for you!

The worst side effect ive ever had is laziness and munchies, and subsequent weight gain – all things I have control over. I’ve seen the positive effects that someone with MS has displayed after being on injection medication for MS, with relapses every 3 months…after she stopped doing injections and started smoking, she went a couple of years with no relapses and a couple of years with one relapse, nowhere near as intense as when she was on injection treatment.

MS has a lot to do with stress management, and the way she’s best been able to handle stress is with a few puffs every night.

of course, she’s not shelling out $2000 before insurance will kick in to cover the rest of the injection meds, she spends $100 a month (up until the past month, dry spell aparently). Soon, with the passage of med marijuana she will be able to grow it.

and her MS will be kept in check so long as she can puff.

We have been kept in the dark about the medicinal purposes of hemp/cannabis and there can only be one reason- profit.

I can tell many such stories as what you shared, Jessica, and it is true… other than a bit of laziness and weight gain, there are no bad side effects.

Now, I would caution someone who has never used to be careful about how much and the quality (that is hardly ever much of a choice) taken in. I have heard a couple of stories from some that say it freaked them out first time and would never do it again (but as with anything in life, I do not believe weed is for everyone). Some will like it and some won’t… just like alcohol or sushi or Beanie Weenies or whatever.

I know a guy in Jamaica who grows stuff that will simply put people, even diehards, down… simply because they didn’t stop at 2 or 3 hits. Potency is variable due to a plethora of reasons.

But even those that freak out (like the cop who ate the brownies and call 911 thinking he was dying) do so for no reason. Paranoia may destroy ya, but weed never will.

    Thanks for dropping by…

In my experience…I have depression issues as well as deteriorating discs in my spine…and have been diagnosed as manic/depressive….I get really uptight and short-tempered and have little patience with normal problems unless I have a bit of smoke to help calm me and center me. I don’t take other medication because it scares me what the potential side effects are…for instance…I learned after being on depo-provera for 10 years that it probably contributed to my disc disentigration, and the pain pills on the market have ALL KINDS of crazy side effects… when I took Paxil and effexor for my depression, it made my emotions so flat that I couldn’t even squeeze out a tear during a good emotional movie…I much prefer to use cannabis to combat my depression and wild mood swings than man-made chemicals and all the risks associated with their use! Also, as a professional singer/entertainer, I am exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke constantly and am glad to know my lungs are protected by a the THC so as to counteract the effects of tobacco smoke. I haven’t had a head or chest cold for 3 years since I started smoking every day. I believe it also keeps the bacteria from settling there and setting up infections. I used to get brochitis and my colds lasted for months. Now even with lots of children in the home and pets, I never get sick! Hooray for the wonderful herb that nature has supplied us to help us with our medical needs as well as the many other wonderful properties it has like the ability to create a cloth or even a vehicle! and lets not forget, we could fuel our economy…the world…on the oil derived from the seed!

it kills me to hear the media and kids at school talking about how weed is bad for you. My friend recently tried to convice me that her father got throat cancer from smoking weed, but actually her father drinks vodka heavily. We are just being lied to like 9.11.01
