Greenberger Interview

This interview was regarding the ‘planned’ and preformed economic ‘paybacks’ that have crap-ola to do with saving any American family, worker etc. I found this very clear cut, and explained extremely well. Of course my explanation here is not at all complete as to the subject matter. Sit back and take this in–

Automatic Turd Tester

Posted by BuelahMan on May 16, 2009

While viewing the Top Ten Toilets Screaming High-Tech in Luxury at BornRich.org, I saw the Microsoft eToilet, which houses a pc. Although there are some more expensive toilets out there, this one screams functionality and is surely a techies dream.

ms-etoilet_yoW2A_48The eToilet includes a 21-inch flat-screen monitor built into the toilet lid itself that swings out on a swivel arm when in use. Many of its functions are activated by touch and it has a proximity sensor that will protect the screen from spray during use or flushing. Moreover, the eToilet’s composition gauge will offer web-based dietary recommendations and guidelines based on the physical makeup of the material that is input into the device.

OK, I see a multitude of functional problems with this, but what the hell is next? “Composition gauge”? They evaluate your shit to see if you need to eat bran or whatever? What is wrong with rich people? Blackberry not good enough for you as you take a dump?

And for evaluating my turds, I know before I get up what consistency it is (hell, most times I know what is coming even before sitting down).

Oh, and lest we forget the smell… a true giveaway.

Of course, the ultimate guide is the amount of TP needed. One wipe with a single ply (and no mark) you know you are shittin bricks. Half a roll and you still fell greasy, you better start eating some fiber.

No PC needed for that. And you can always keep this handy guide, even  print it out.

What Does an Ideal Bowel Movement Look Like?

An ideal bowel movement is medium brown, the color of plain cardboard. It leaves the body easily with no straining or discomfort. It should have the consistency of toothpaste, and be approximately 4 to 8 inches long. Stool should enter the water smoothly and slowly fall once it reaches the water. There should be little gas or odor.

It appears to me after reading this that I have never, in my entire life, had an “ideal bowel movement”. Even in what I considered my very best attempts in 47 years, nothing compares to this description (at least simultaneously). And “toothepaste”? In my best dreams.

But fear not, it gets in depth and can help you find out those age old questions, like “How can my shit be green when I haven’t eaten anything green?“, or “Where did that corn come from?“.

One of my favorite topics was “Pencil Thin Stool“, which immediately reminded me of my Parrot Head days and “Pencil Thin Mustache”, so I knew I had to share it. Enjoy…

Yeah, but now Im gettin old, dont wear underwear
I dont go to church and I dont cut my hair
But I can go to movies and see it all there
Just the way that it used to be

Somehow I did it: Going from toilets to mustaches in one post… sharing with the world my turd-type and fondness for high tech gadgets… AND I still came up with a cool song.

Drug Sniffing Super Snoot

Posted by BuelahMan on May 16, 2009

I’m sure you have heard about the study in Spain where all sorts of drugs were found in the air (MSNBC covers it in their article, “Spanish study shows cocaine in the air in Madrid and Barcelona“)

If it is possible to set up a test site and measure quantities of these drugs (amphetamines, opiates, cannabinoids and lysergic acid… and who knows what else is possible) at this minute a level (down into the picograms, which is one-trillionth of a gram), it is only a small matter of time before the technology will evolve into some hand held “sniffer” that a cop holds out his window and could actually lead him precisely to the source.

g-cvr-080409-lie-detector-345a.h2Can you imagine a van that pulls into a neighborhood and can directionally find you smoking a joint? Or doing a line?

What if you sat next to a guy on the subway who was reeking of ‘erb and you go to a job interview and they “sniff” you to see if you partake?

And you don’t think they would ever do that?

From the article:

They said the method was new and could help in measuring drug use in towns and cities in a fast and anonymous way.

Jugendbund der America

Posted by BuelahMan on May 15, 2009

Jesus Christ and a whole bunch of By-God’s:

Do we really need our own little brown shirted “Hitler Youth” in America?

Let me also note the movie 1984 has some extremely chilling scenes of how the youth in a Fascist country can be mind melded into little killers and used to narc even their own parents.

Right wingers have a field day over stuff like this and I cannot fathom sending my daughter to any such “camp” or organization with the pure sense of instructing kids to kill.

Are you people nut cases?

You should watch 1984, if you never saw it or read the book:

Economists’ Letter Spells Out What Went Wrong

Posted by BuelahMan on May 15, 2009

Dear Sir,

The prevailing view amongst the commentariat (reflected in the recent deliberations of the G20) that the financial crash of 2008 was caused by market failure is both wrong and dangerous. Government failure had a leading role in creating the conditions that led to the crash.* Central banks created a monetary bubble that fed an asset price boom and distorted the pricing of risk.

* US government policy encouraged high-risk lending through support for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (which had explicit government targets of providing over 50pc of mortgage finance to poor households) and through the Community Reinvestment Act and related regulations.

* Regulators and central bankers failed to use their considerable powers to stop risks building up in the financial system and an extension of regulation will not make a future crash less likely.

* Much existing banking regulation exacerbated the crisis and reduced the effectiveness of market monitoring of banks. The FSA, in the UK, has failed in its statutory duty to “maintain market confidence”.

* The tax and regulatory systems encourage complex and opaque methods of increasing gearing in the financial system.

* Financial institutions that have made mistakes have lost the majority of their value. On the other hand, regulators are being rewarded for failure by an extension of their size and powers.

* Evidence suggests that serious systemic problems have not arisen amongst unregulated institutions.

As such, no significant changes are needed to the regulatory environment surrounding hedge funds, short-selling, offshore banks, private equity or tax havens.

A revolution in financial regulation is needed. The proposals of the G20 governments and the EU are wholly misconceived. Specific and targeted laws and regulations could restore market discipline. These should include:

* Making bank depositors prior creditors. This will provide better incentives for prudent behaviour and make a call on deposit insurance funds less likely.

* Provisions to ensure an orderly winding up, recapitalisation or sale of systemic financial institutions in difficulty. Banks must be allowed to fail.

* Enhancing market disclosure by ensuring that banks report relevant information to shareholders.

This should be reinforced with central bank action to ensure that:

* Proper use is made of lender-of-last-resort facilities to deal with illiquid banks.

* The growth of broad money is monitored together with the build-up of wider inflationary risks.

Yours faithfully,

Dr James Alexander, Head of Equity Research, M&G; Prof Michael Beenstock, Professor of Economics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem; Prof Philip Booth, Professor of Insurance and Risk Management, Cass Business School; Dr Eamonn Butler, Director, Adam Smith Institute; Prof Tim Congdon, Founder, Lombard Street Research; Prof Laurence Copeland, Professor of Finance, Cardiff Business School; Prof Kevin Dowd, Professor of Financial Risk Management, Nottingham University Business School; Dr John Greenwood, Chief Economist, Invesco; Dr Samuel Gregg, Research Director, Acton Institute; Prof John Kay, St John’s College, Oxford; Prof David Llewellyn, Professor of Money and Banking, Loughborough University; Prof Alan Morrison, Professor of Finance, University of Oxford; Prof D R Myddelton, Emeritus Professor of Finance and Accounting, Cranfield University; Prof Geoffrey Wood, Professor of Economics, Cass Business School.

Arrested Development by Ralph Nader

Posted by BuelahMan on May 14, 2009

Senator Dick Durbin said last week that the banks own Congress.

That’s true.

But they don’t come close to the hammerlock their brothers in the health insurance and drug companies have over the place.

The drug companies and health insurance companies control every nook and cranny on the Hill.

If you doubt it, look no further than the events of the past two weeks at the Senate Finance Committee.

Committee chair Senator Max Baucus called a full 28 witnesses for two hearings on health care reform.

Senator Baucus called on the Business Roundtable.

He called on the Heritage Foundation.

He called on the lobby known as America’s Health Insurance Plans.

But not one of the 28 witnesses called by Baucus supported what the majority of the American people want.

And what the majority of doctors, nurses and health economists want.

Single payer, full Medicare for all, everybody in, nobody out, free choice of doctor and hospital health care.

And so, Single Payer Action decided to act.

Last week, eight citizens – including three doctors – led by Single Payer Action – simply demanded that Baucus add a seat at the table for a single payer advocate.

Instead of adding a seat at the table, Baucus called for the police.

The eight were arrested, handcuffed, and charged with so-called “disruption of Congress.”

The police left behind undisturbed the horde of corporate lobbyists accustomed to “the purchase of Congress.”

This week, two doctors, two nurses, and a citizen from Maine – inspired by the actions of the Baucus 8 – rose and simply demanded that Baucus add a single payer advocate to the witness list.

Again, Baucus refused.

And again, Baucus called for the police.

Now it’s the Baucus 13.

Single Payer Action will not rest until America gets what every other Western industrialized country has – universal, not-for-profit, health care – everybody in, nobody out.

More efficient.

And more humane.

Thanks to your generous help, the launch of Single Payer Action is one of the more successful launches of a citizen action organization in recent memory.

Single Payer Action has gained widespread publicity – on National Public Radio, Democracy Now, in Politico, the Associated Press, and the National Journal.

Opportunity is knocking.

Now we must open the door.

Single Payer Action will pick it’s battles wisely.

And use its resources frugally.

To defeat the insurance and drug industries.

And secure single payer national health insurance for all Americans.

Sooner rather than later. (Because at least 60 Americans die every day from lack of health insurance.)

If you have donated already, thank you for being part of this great launch.

If you have not donated, please donate now – whatever you can afford – $10, $20, $50, $100.

And remember – this is the last day to take advantage of our great two-book offer.

If you give $100 or more by midnight tonight, we will send you two galvanizing books that concisely detail the case for single payer in America.

  • Health Care Meltdown by Robert LeBow, MD, revised and updated by Dr. C. Rocky White – a Republican doctor so fed up with the needless suffering caused by the insurance industry that he became a leading advocate for single payer.

    and

  • Ten Excellent Reasons for National Health Care, edited by Mary O’Brien and Martha Livingston.

Remember, this two-book offer ends tonight at midnight.

So, donate now.

We’re building one million Americans strong for single payer.

Let’s get it done together – for all Americans.

And for future generations.

Onward to single payer

Morphing In To The Last Administration

Jonathon Turley told it like it is last night on Rachel’s Show. Although, I believe the morph happened long ago… the more days this man spends in the Whitehouse, the more it resembles the last administration.

B’Man’s Patriot Watch: Dennis Kucinich

Posted by BuelahMan on May 13, 2009

Honoring this fine man is nothing new around here. He is one of the very few true patriots we have left in Congress and to this day I proudly wear his campaign T-shirt and cap. I have his campaign poster up on a wall to remind me of what this country missed out on due to her idiotic mindfuck she seems totally ok with.

Truth is out there people, but you MUST turn off that idiot tube and educate yourself.

I hope that some poor redneck stops by and reads this, gives the video a quick look and then comment about how you disagree with what the man says. But please give some good reasons, for I am armed to the teeth with information and the real truth about this subject.

The fact is that we are getting screwed by a bunch of money grubbing Senators who will protect their coffers. Max Baucus is in the lead and he is obviously keeping the Single payer option out of the debate, even though over 60% of Americans want it (and I promise you that if more understood exactly what it meant, that number would sky rocket). The reason they don’t know is the fact that they watch the MSM, or worse, that fake news channel, Fox News.

Pelosi, herself, is against it, even though the vast majority of her constituents want it. Same with virtually every congress member out there, yet they ignore it.

POTUS Obama is a damned liar because he convinced many Americans to vote for him because he said he supported Single Payer, not-for-profit Universal healthcare, but now is sliding towards protecting his money coffers, as well. BTW: the man lies continuously and about virtually every subject. If you haven’t figured that out yet, there is little hope for you (much like those crazy fucking Bushies).

My friend, Dandelion Salad posted this Earth2Obama video.

On another note, I am really beginning to like The Ed Show (even though I find it hard to believe that he will be able to keep his show with his “in-your-face” notions of Progressiveness). He had on Mike Farrell (MASH fame) regarding this subject and details that you need to know are illuminated. Worth the viewing, if you haven’t seen it (I just wish that Ed came on in the Tweety or Olbermann time-slot… Olbermann drank the Koolaid and Tweety is, well, Tweety).

I don’t know what I’d do without Daily Rotten.

Plumber ‘gives birth’ to twin in scene reminiscent of Alien

Gavin Hyatt, 30, explained that the lump forced its way out after lying inside his abdomen since he was born.

Medics said the 4cm growth was a parasitic twin that died in the womb early in their mother’s pregnancy.Mr Hyatt, a former firefighter, from Witney, Oxfordshire, said: “Four hospital doctors had previously examined me and were all puzzled by the lump.

“Some thought it was a cyst, others an in-grown hair.

“Then one said it could be my undeveloped identical twin that I absorbed at a very early stage. I feel absolutely fine now but it has not sunk in yet that I could have had a twin brother. I have him in a jar at home and I call him little Gav. I haven’t told many people. I feel like a bit of a freak.”…

Yeah?

THE WORLD’S AIR TRAFFIC IN 24 HOURS
In this video the yellow dots represent all of the large commercial aircraft in flight around the world during a 24 hour period (condensed here to about 1.25 minutes).
This is a very interesting perspective of what is happening in the Earth’s skies at every moment, everyday.  Imagine that each day 50,000 to 70,000 commercial aircraft flights carry over 4 million passengers to and from locations around the world.  That’s almost 1.5 billion passengers traveling in commercial aircraft each year.
As viewed from space, the Earth’s skies are a beehive of human activity, of tens of thousands of people in flight at any moment, traveling hundreds of miles per hour, thousands of feet above land and water.
Watch the video and see how the flow of aircraft changes as the Earth spins and the light of day moves from the east to the west (the moving black cloud is the dark of night).
Watch as a dominant flow of aircraft traffic leaves North America at night to arrive in Europe in the morning. Then watch as this flow reverses during the day, with more aircraft flying from Europe to North America (and also arriving during day due to the westward progression of light).  Look for other patterns like this in different parts of the world.
