Every now and again, Bill says a few words that are needed. Unfortunately, I am never sure what his modus operandi is in his statements.
In this case, he is (of course) way too late in his bitch (I was speaking of these issues long ago).
He is correct, though, in saying we need Obama to step up and “be a man” of the people, instead of a Corporate Clown. I, too, wish that he had some of Bush’s balls to say, “I am fixing Healthcare in this country.”
But he won’t. Why? Because he is beholden to Big Money and is too big a back-talking pussy to actually do what the right thing is. Besides, he will not do anything without his handler’s permission (Rahm Emmanuel and AIPAC).
So, I give Maher credit for this one, but only a little. Maher was and is wrong about the choice of POTUS. He should have said far more much earlier on. Bitching now is just a simple way to gain back some of those that he alienated before the election in his Obama praise. And sadly, many will fall for it.
I saw it long ago. It is so glaringly obvious only a totally blind person could miss it (and America is chock full of the blind, apparently).

Oh, I agree with him. But where the hell was he before the election? where the hell was everyone ‘cept me, Ed and just a few others who weren’t fooled by his lies… or fell for the “lessor of two evils” bullshit?
The Peanut gallery was snapping at me for calling it right on the money. It continues to this day, yet I can boldly say, “I told you so.”
Bill cannot say that. Bill Maher can only now start his feigned outrage and president bashing now that it is safe to do it.
It takes brains, common sense and BALLS to do what me and many other patriots have done: speak out against the obvious lies and deceit of the Corporately owned POTUS and POTUS wannabees.
In other words, even if Bill is correct, it is too damned late now.
WTF are these people when the country needs them?

B’Man: Agree completely, although he does have stronger voices on the show from a lot of different points of view and his given Ron Paul a lot of airtime to cover important issues.
The guy who drives me bananas is Keith Olbermann. Obama can do no wrong. The only time I’ve ever read of him [I watched 4 times and got sick of him] criticizing him was this week when the day before Rachel Maddow had Howard Dean on and Dean lit in to Obama pretty good on his homophobia. He didnt use that word. He said “a little animus” but still for a member of the same party on a show with an interviewer who will get pretty tough on issues that have widely varying points of view is quite something.

B’Man: This all looks to me in Panama like the biggest fuckin carnival freak show I’ve ever seen going on in the media and on the blogs. This is exactly why I hate political parties in the US and I hate rigid ideological identity groups. Every single one of them piss me off on one thing or other.
Here’s a good laugh to start. I had wanted to write a piece for HELL on the hijacking of the 2010 Demopublican Primaries for Congressional races. I hit “google news” just to get started and THIS pile of steaming manure was the lead story on google apparently world-wide:

Not only is this kind of fluff about the worst Obama-Luv distraction from deathly serious issues like the fascist reorganization of Gringolandia’s entire financial system in order to consolidate power in the executive over all business activity everywhere in the world, it fuckin depressed me on Father’s Day because I can’t see my dad and my son nearly enough. Why? Because I’m divorced and live in a “blacklisted” country which gave the boy’s mother too much leverage on me. And my parents are old. Taxing on them to fly 7 hours to Panama.
But…I’ve now discovered that even the reliable spots that will take on Obama from an anti-fascist point of view have extremely retrograde opinions about Latin America, or Parlour Marxist fantasies, or like the idea of the “EVIL TAX HAVEN CRACKDOWN” on Panama and Switzerland because they assume that (knowing nothing about Panama but “Noriega”) the banking laws and the strict personal privacy laws are helping “THE RICH” Panama should be re-annexed by the US. And the Union Bank Of Switzerland should be seized by Obama.
They also have this insane notion that Hugo Chavez agrees with this sort of thing. I’ve explained and showed evidence that Hugo Chavez is not a “communist.” There are merely “socialist” results of free-market activity allowed to obtain (as was not the case with GM or Chrysler or any big US bank), and that they’ve nationalzed a number of public sectors: Health care, food staples, the crude oil and natural gas sector, and metals and mining. There are still lively stock, bond, commodity and debt markets. FORD MOTOR COMPANY is happy there. The country is rich and there’s real wealth being generated by workers who when their company went bankrupt exercised their wholly-”conservative” right to take ownership of the remaining assets if they chose.
And it’s not like the libertarians are so great either. They use Latin America as a symbol for all that’s wrong in the world. It a pretty fuckin impolite way at times. I do what I can to get them to see it a different way and I’ve actually managed to get them reading some good stuff.
As for the so-called “far left” of America, FIREDOGLAKE, Cindy Sheehan, etc. The bosses are nice people, I suppose, but the fans aren’t and nobody has a clue what’ happening down here and how they affect us. So, people argued with me at first and now nobody give a fuck.
