Cool Technology: Japanese to mass produce cars that run off water!

Posted by BuelahMan on September 12, 2009

Tired of pumping expensive gasoline into your car?

Tired of dead Americans fighting over oil wells in Iraq & oil pipelines in Afghanistan?

All you need is a liter of water – any kind of water to be exact, whether its river, rain, sea water, or even Japanese tea.

Once the water is poured into a water tank at the back of the car, the newly invented energy generator takes out the hydrogen from the water, releases electrons and finally generates electrical power.

OK: My idea is to get a cooler full of beer, run a catheter from “Chester” to the tank and set off on a road trip

James Traficant Blasts AIPAC

Posted by BuelahMan on September 12, 2009

I happened upon this clip of Traficant on Greta Susteren’s show (h/t Prison Planet) and James struck me by his hard biting truth over how AIPAC controls every aspect and level of our government (towards the second half of the video):

In an interview with FOX NEWS Greta Van Susteren[19][20], he said he was the number one target of AIPAC and the U.S. Justice Department. Traficant denied he is anti-Semitic that “Israel has a powerful stranglehold on the American government,” controlling members of the House and Senate and involving the U.S. in wars in which it has little or no interest. Traficant mentions foreign aid in all forms to Israel is approximately $15 billion per year, which is about $30,000 per capita annually. Traficant notes that Delphi employees in Ohio have lost their pensions. He said he had predicted another economic depression, and people just laughed at him.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t know much about the man until I started reading about him this morning. He is an interesting character, to say the least. Apparently he was put in the Federal prison for taking campaign funds for personal use (and making his aides work on his farm and boat, I guess). But as I read through the Wiki page on him, I also noticed that he was a “tough guy” in prison and even started a riot.

Trafficant began serving at the first 17 months at FCI Allenwood and shortly after, he was shackled and put in solitary confinement for causing a riot, requesting a guard, ” People can’t hear you. Speak up”. [17] Beginning in March, 2004, for nine months, he served with 20 inmates in one locked room at the Federal Correctional Institution Raybrook with a public commode, and with 4 in a room at Federal Medical Center, Rochester for 3 years. He was admonished by prison officials in Raybrook he was only a “few points away” from a penitentiary. In the seven years of incarceration, he refused any visitors. He didn’t want anyone to see him. He wore his hair in a pony tail without his trademark, hairpiece. Traficant took up artwork while in prison. “I understood the dynamics of prison life,” he said. “And now what you have is, they want to keep the prisons open, keep the jobs going. They’re putting 20, 30 years on some of these young people, and it’s out of hand.” He observed the overcrowded prison system. He was released on September 2, 2009, at age 68 with three years of probation to serve.

I have no doubt that AIPAC does, in fact, have a stranglehold over our foreign affairs. It would also not surprise me that they are somehow connected to the events of 911, but I have no way of proving such a thing. I wonder if anyone has ever made the connection between the celebrating Israelis linked to Mossad that watched as the towers were hit and AIPAC? There is certainly a connection to the Bush Regime and these are not and never are consequences or amazing happenstance.

Remembering 9/10

Posted by BuelahMan on September 10, 2009

What happened on this day, 2001?

h/t BrassCheckTV

Also notice what else was happening on that day:

September 10, 2001: President Bush Arrives at Longboat Key Resort; Tight Overnight Security Includes Surface-to-Air Missiles

At 6:30 p.m., President Bush arrives at the Colony Beach and Tennis Resort on Longboat Key, Florida. [Sammon, 2002, pp. 13; Sarasota Herald-Tribune, 9/10/2002] He is in Florida as part of a weeklong effort to place a national spotlight on education and reading, and visited a school in Jacksonville earlier in the day. [ABC News, 9/10/2001; Florida Times-Union (Jacksonville), 9/10/2001] In preparation for the president’s visit to the resort, all guests have been cleared out of the building “to make way for the invasion of White House staffers, aides, communications technicians—even an antiterrorism unit.” Overnight, snipers and surface-to-air missiles are located on the roof of the Colony and adjacent structures, to protect the president. “The Coast Guard and the Longboat Key Police Department manned boats that patrolled the surf in front of the resort all night. Security trucks with enough men and arms to stop a small army parked right on the beach. An Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) plane circled high overhead in the clear night sky.” [Sammon, 2002, pp. 13 and 25; Sarasota Herald-Tribune, 9/10/2002] Whether this is a typical level of security for a presidential visit, or is increased due to recent terror warnings, is unstated.

Why?

Posted by BuelahMan on September 10, 2009

That’s Why

Lisa let a little common sense slip out to her regular readers (I am one) that made me very proud. I wasn’t completely sure of her stance since she stopped polititting (she isn’t quite as verbose about her political thoughts as she used to be). She became “real”, which is why i still like her, her family and her blogging.

But, today she finally came out and said it. ENOUGH!

Enough of the bogus circular arguments. Enough of regurgitating the same old Party of No stance or the same old kowtowing “public option” stance. It is time to go full bore with Single Payer and show you ignorant naysayers that it will be one of the life and money saving ways to go. It is, by far, the most humane way (not that Americans are or understand what that means).

How it warmed my heart to read:

Last night, I posted on my Facebook about this because I am soooo tired of this “conversation.” It’s ridiculous. Health care is a human rights issue. I asked the question: If you weren’t in a position of having insurance right now – would you oppose reform? Because I honestly do believe that it’s easy to oppose change when you are comfortable. One of my commenters there linked to this article that demonstrates, that even when you are insured, you are not guaranteed coverage. The insurance companies hold all the cards.

Well, here’s the thing I say to those opposed:

We’ve heard your side and we’ve tried it your way. For years. The insurance companies get rich. People die waiting for health care. Or go broke. And bankrupt. Mine and Mathman’s first money troubles started as a result of a huge dental bill. I myself, can’t do anything that requires quick movements like running, throwing or jumping because when I do, I pee myself because carrying and birthing three babies wrecked me. Even with our insurance, I cannot afford the co-pay for the surgery to get my pee place fixed. Not life threatening, but damned inconvenient and annoying. I mean, what if I needed to run for my life? It’s bad enough that I run like a girl, but a girl with wet drawers? Come on now! You’ve heard me refer to the sneeze and squeeze, yes?

TMI? Well, this is a health care post. You’ll live.

There is no more need to debate this issue another second because the opposed will not be convinced. So let’s do this – let’s try something new and radical like universal, single-payer health care. If in three years, people hate it, then they can go back to the mess we have now.

My guess is that we’ll be happy enough with the new and radical, but we’re going to have to drag some Americans’ asses along. That’s how it always is, you know. I mean, just ask MathMan. Back in 1987, when he tried to get me to use his brand, spanking-new hotrod of a Tandy 1000 personal computer to write a paper for some college class, I looked him dead in the eye and uttered these words….”No thanks, I’ll stick with the typewriter.”

And, yes, Lisa is always that hilarious, even when she is making a monumental point. Check her out here.

Healthcare Is A Human Right: Let’s Pursue It With HR 676

Posted by BuelahMan on September 9, 2009

A New Movement: Health Care as a Civil Right

Dear Friends,

There is only one true health care public option: Single payer. It covers everyone, all basic health care needs, with doctor of choice. No more premiums, co-pays or deductibles. All health care assets in America would become not-for-profit. The bill already exists. It is HR 676. Congressman John Conyers and I wrote the bill. Our bill has the support of 85 co-sponsors in the House. And it is backed by a growing national movement of labor, doctors, and nurses. The movement needs you. Please join me for tomorrow’s national conference call at 10:00pm EDT. Please call toll-free 1-800-230-1096.

The hour has arrived to begin anew the Civil Rights Movement, this time for Health Care for All. I am calling upon you to become a force in this movement. Go to Health Care as A Civil Right at Kucinich.us to learn how you can circulate a single-payer petition and organize in your community. Please help fund this effort. Go to Kucinich.us now, contribute.

The Preamble to the United States Constitution and Article One, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution both describe an originating purpose of our United States: to promote the general welfare. Health care is a legitimate function of our government. Health care is a basic right in a Democratic society. It is no more a privilege based on ability to pay than is the right to vote, which was once accorded only to property owners.

Health care is also a moral imperative. Forty seven million Americans are uninsured. Fifty million Americans are underinsured. People are losing their homes, their jobs, their life’s savings, their retirement security and their financial health because they cannot pay medical bills, and despite this calamity Washington looks another way. We must not avert our eyes to this human suffering and this economic injustice.

Let’s prepare a response which Washington will long remember as the time when the people reclaimed their government from the insurance and pharmaceutical companies. Join us. Contribute. Together, we can initiate an action plan to intervene and provide health care for all.

  1. A National Health Care for All Conference Call from Washington, DC, at 10 pm EDT, Thursday, September 10th at 1-800-230-1096. Join us, so that we can discuss our new beginning and ways in which we can all help. Pre-registration is necessary in order to reserve sufficient phone lines. Please RSVP here. When you call in and the operator asks, “what conference call?” tell the operator, “Health Care for All.”
  2. On-line petition. Please contact your lists, your family and friends. Please sign the petition for a single payer system. I will deliver the petitions directly to your Congressperson.
  3. Petition to download, print and circulate among friends and neighbors – including an instruction sheet.
  4. Health Care Meet-Ups. Coming Thursday September 10 2009.
  5. Tell A Friend. Every email forwarded will make a difference? Please use the “Forward Email” link below to circulate up to 5 emails at a time to your friends.

I need your help to initiate this action. If you believe, as I do, that we can and must begin a new long-term state-by-state grassroots effort to create a single-payer, not-for-profit health care system, please contribute now at Kucinich.us Thank you.

Sincerely.
Dennis

B’Man’s Patriot Watch: Greg Missman

Posted by BuelahMan on September 9, 2009

I supposed that gets filed under “Anti-Obama Bigotry” and the um “move on.” All of the hue and cry over the impoliteness of the Town Hallers, but what was missing? The words “HR 676 Conyers/Kucinich Medicare For All.” This was never a debate between proponents of universal health care in America and the real thieves. It was a debate between thieves who know the speech codes and thieves who don’t. Like every other issue since Obama was invented in Kissinger’s lab.

What happens after you have done your duty, come back home to work, but the financial environment forces you to lose your job (and health insurance). In many cases, you are forced to “re-up”, just to be able to get health insurance for you and your kid.

Besides the fact that we should never have sent this patriot to Afghanistan to begin with, the least we could do is use SOME of the war money to pay for universal, single-payer healthcare for each and every American.

Our priorities are totally ass backwards.

Fighting To Protect Your Health Insurance Company?

Posted by BuelahMan on September 9, 2009

All you Death Panel subscribers: It is amazing to what lengths some will go to help protect their health insurance companies.

CROSS BORDER MEDICAL INCIDENT

more about “Organizing Notes: CROSS BORDER MEDICA…“, posted with vodpod

h/t Organizing Notes

Then, again, how far are you willing to go for the only sane healthcare “reform”?

Health Care or Insurance Care? It’s Time to Respond!

Dear Friends,

The health care decision-making process in Washington is horribly tainted by the campaign contributions of insurance and pharmaceutical interests. Under the pay-to-play system health care becomes insurance care, the public option shrinks to irrelevance, the choice we are left: What kind of private, for-profit insurance do you want? This is not acceptable. We must respond now, and not settle for a plan which subsidizes insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies and sets the stage for the privatization of Medicare. We want Health Care for all the people, Medicare for All, which is exactly what the bill John Conyers and I wrote, HR 676, accomplishes. And the only way we will achieve it is to organize and take action in our communities to effect real change at a state and national level. Let us initiate immediately an action plan to intervene and provide health care for all:

  1. On-line petition. Please contact your lists, your family and friends. Please sign the petition for a single payer system. I will deliver the petitions directly to your Congressperson.
  2. Petition to download, print and circulate among friends and neighbors – including an instruction sheet.

Let me guess… you still have insurance through work (or your spouse’s work) and you have nothing to worry about because they will continue to cover you… right?

20090808-elise

According to The Economic Policy Institute, that security may be premature. There has been a steady decline (5%) of employer based health insurance since 2000 (this figure is based off of 2007 numbers, which will be higher now). September 10th will be the day for the new report and I am willing to bet that declines will tap down near the 55% realm.

There will be a day of reckoning when those of you who have insurance provided by your employer will not be so spoiled and realize how hard it is for low income and small business owners to survive. The others of you that have never experienced any sort of ailment that cost significant money and are still not paying because you are gaming the system… it won’t work. There are a million things that can make that strategy fall on its face and on to my back to pay, since you can’t and won’t.

America’s Drug War “Coalition of The Willing” Seem Unwilling

Posted by BuelahMan on September 6, 2009

Argentina legalizes personal marijuana possession

BUENOS AIRES (AFP) – Argentina’s Supreme Court on Tuesday decriminalized the possession of small amounts of marijuana for personal use, tossing out tough provincial drug laws whose penalties it deemed unconstitutional.

The high court ruling protects “the privacy of adults who are responsible for their own conduct,” according to a court statement.

It said the constitution protected “the private actions of individuals who in no way offend order or public morality, or harm a third party, who answer to God free from a judge’s authority.”

The court ruled on a case involving the trial and sentencing of five young people arrested during a sweep in early 2006, when police seized between one and three marijuana cigarettes from each of them.

While the decision could be seen as a victory for Argentinians seeking to overturn laws which funneled many recreational drug users into the penal system, the court said in its statement that the ruling “cannot be considered legal permission to consume indiscriminately.”

The verdict comes just four days after Mexico legalized possession of small quantities of drugs such as heroin, marijuana and cocaine, arguing that limited resources are better used in the fight against organized drug crime.

The change means Mexicans can possess up to five grams of marijuana, 500 milligrams of cocaine, two grams of opium or 50 milligrams of heroin without fear of prosecution.

The Day Capitalism Died

by Gary Corseri
World Prout Assembly
September 5th, 2009

I forgot to pay my phone bill
So they shut off my phone.
So when I saw the Terrorist
Assembling his bomb
I couldn’t make the call
To Homeland Security.
So the bomb went off
Under powerful noses
That harrumphed and snorted
We were under attack
By alien forces
And,
Only absolute curtailment
Of freedom of speech
Would win ultimate victory
(After the obligatory
Twilight struggle).
So they closed all the schools
And sent the kids packing
To watch real-time and re-runs
Of “American Idol,”
Certain of congealing
Public opinion
For the sake of supporting
Whatever the judges
Judged worthy of judging.
Meanwhile, back at the piazza,
On reality TV,
Someone killed someone
In real life,
While the cameras were rolling,
But everyone forgave him
Because he was a good team player
Who just really wanted,
For the good of the team,
To win one for the Gipper.
The President gave a speech and said
We should all lend a hand
And we would get through it
Because we are Americans
And that’s what we do.
Somebody launched
A nuclear missile
Straight at Iran
Which then sank some ships
That blocked up the Gulf.
Gas shot up
To ten bucks a gallon
And half the stooges
At the town hall meetings,
Happy with their insurance,
(And to hell with the rest of us!)
Died of swine flu anyway
(And the other half died
Of the vaccines),
But so did a lot of glaze-eyed kids
In the middle of voting for
Their “American Idol.”

The stock market crashed
Just like ’29,
It took wheelbarrows of bucks
To buy Coca Cola
And the radio nuts
Blamed it all
On Mexican liberals
Crossing our borders.

I’ve been wondering lately
Should I pay off my bills?
But I haven’t decided
Whose side I’m on!
Am I with’em
Or agin’em,
Am I blue state or red,
Am I better off hoping
Or better off dead?

This world’s a delusion,
A junkie’s chimera,
A vampire’s kiss
Hissing in a cavern,
Pissing in the wind.
For the sake of a dollar,
A ribboned medallion,
We die for our country,
Kill for sweet liberty
As defined by,
As circumscribed by,
As constrained by,
Straight-jacketed by
Power and fear,
Glory and cupidity.

Maybe heaven
Is about starting over
With a fresh deck
Where the dice aren’t loaded.
Maybe it’s helping
Where it’s most needed,
With nothing ulterior,
Truth out in the open.

Hail, Mary, full of grace. …
Hail, Caesar,
We who are about to die
Salute you.
Heil! Heil! Heil!

Richard Noggin Saturday: Lamar Alexander, You Had Your Chance

Posted by BuelahMan on September 5, 2009

Poor, pitiful health insurance indebted Lamar (shitty Governor) Alexander explains how much the republican Party wants to help “reform” healthcare. We can all rest assured at night that old Lamar is on the job now, with the rest of his republican Corporatist Cronies, to make sure that we can all afford to be thrown into the system that will continue to enrich the ones that pay all their campaign funds.

We know we can trust all you Republicans because you worked so hard during the previous 8 years to put Big Insurance in its place and stopped tham from ravaging us, the real Americans outhere.

Yes, Mr Alexander, the Party you cling to like a busted rubber ducky float has proven to all of us how much you care for our health and well being… how much you care by all you have done in the past several decades to stop any medical reform at all.

To put this in an unsnarky way, I think you are full of shit and you lost your credibility on anything you may utter long ago. We don’t trust you any more than we trust Obama and the Demublican Party Clowns, Lamar. Most of us know that Single Payer, Not-For-Profit Healthcare is the only viably sane, fiscally conservative and socially responsible means of going forward. Yet, that isn’t a reTHUGlican proposal, now, is it?

Lamar, eat shit. Not everyone you speak or write to is a brainwashed sycophant. Some of us are paying close attention and we know better.

From The Chattanooga Free Press Times:

COMMENTARY

Medical muddle

Proposals would slap high costs on states

Lamar Alexander Senator R-Tenn.

The two plans now before Congress to reform our health care system are good-faith efforts to find the best way to go in the wrong direction. We have to start over to get it right.

Why must we start over? People at home in Tennessee, the Mayo Clinic, 1,000 local chambers of commerce and businesses, the Congressional Budget Office and the Democratic governors all basically say, “These plans have too many problems.” Add all those problems up, and this is what you’d get in Tennessee:

Both plans before Congress look at the idea of dumping — and I use that word carefully — an additional 300,000 low-income Tennesseans into the failed Medicaid program (known as TennCare in Tennessee), even though right now 40 percent of doctors won’t see Medicaid patients. Then they’re going to shift the cost to the states after about five years — the equivalent of a 5 percent to 10 percent new state income tax in Tennessee. Governors are rightly appalled by this, and I say every senator who votes to provide more health care by expanding the failing Medicaid program should have to go home and serve as governor for eight years to try to manage and pay for it.

And around 900,000 Tennesseans could be affected by their proposed cuts to Medicare, while up to 1.6 million Tennessee workers could lose their employer-provided health insurance. Finally, as many as 2 million Tennesseans are at risk of being forced into the new government program created by these proposals.

Republicans have a better idea. We want to be sure you can afford your health care, but also that you can afford your government once we’ve fixed the system. We want to be sure the insurance company representative who today stands between you and your doctor isn’t replaced by a Washington bureaucrat. We want to be sure you’re not denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions, and that you have more choices — not fewer — in the health-care marketplace.

Senate Republicans have offered several plans in support of these principles, but so far they’re not being considered. The bipartisan Wyden-Bennett plan, for example, which I’ve co-sponsored, is not perfect and I wouldn’t vote for it in its current form, but it would be a good start. That plan would take the subsidies we now spend on health care and spend them in a fairer way, giving low-income Americans a chance to buy health care like the rest of us have. It wouldn’t create any new government programs — and all this without adding a single penny to the debt.

We have only one opportunity to make changes that could affect the way health care is delivered in this country for generations. It’s time to reform our health care system, but we have to start over to get it right.

Lamar Alexander is a Republican U.S. senator from Tennessee. His Chattanooga office phone number is 423-752-5337.

There is but one way that is an apt “do-over” and that is Single Payer, Not-For-Profit, Medicare for all. Unless this is your goal (and of course, it is not) why don’t you crawl back to the pit of hell that houses you until we get another ignorant assed peep out of you. Better yet, just stay there.

I grew up with some Rices and the ones I know would be exactly the same way as this aggressive assaulter.

And fair warning to any of you who believe that throwing a punch at me would go unattended… I will bite off whatever I can get my mouth on if you choose to punch me in that way.

WTF Thursday: Public Service Announcement

Posted by BuelahMan on September 3, 2009

WARNING!!!

Don’t Shave That Hair!!!
I have recently made a mistake in my life, and I offer my story to you, that you may learn from my error. It all started, as many things do, with me having trouble shitting.

No, I was not constipated; this was not a regularity problem but a matter of technique. It seems my ass-hair had grown to such a length that tiny grogans were constantly getting tied up in the matted jungle between my asscheeks. It led to much frustration, with me KNOWING that I still had something to drop, but unable to shake the tenacious turd loose from its butthair dwelling. Eventually I would have to do two things: either reach down with some paper and try to pinch off the lingering loaf (which required careful precision to avoid smearing the creature all over my rear, especially since I had no way of seeing what I was doing) or just go for broke, start wiping, and hope that I could remove all the leftover fecal matter before the toilet paper reached its Can’t-Be-Flushed threshold.

I was contemplating this problem, when I had what seemed at the time to be a bright idea. “Hey! This is my butt and my butt-hair, right? So why don’t I just eliminate all the hair, and then my grogans will flow out like beer from a keg!” I said to myself. It is a statement that will go down in history with a lot of other regretted statements. “How many Indians could there be?” said by General Custer. “Looks like a good day for a drive!” by JFK. “There! America On-Line now has complete Usenet access!” by some idiot system tech. Such was my anal shaving idea.

I performed the operation that night, with a cheap disposable razor and a towel to sit on. Starting from the bottom, and shaving from the crack to the cheeks, I began the arduous process of ridding my ass of hair. Occassionally, I would have to clean the razor of accumulated hair and miscellaneous slime, which I did by wiping it on the towel. Slowly, my twin mounds and the between-ravine began to resemble the hairless cheeks of a newborn baby. Finally, I wiped the razor one last time, and surveyed my work. The towel was covered with a pile of hair. My ass was smooth as ivory. I smiled, satisfied, thinking my troubles were over.

Little did I know.

I now have a great respect for anal-hair. Like everything in this world God created, it has its mighty purpose in existence. It was only after I had removed it that I started to learn how much I had been taking it for granted. For one, it provides friction. I learned this the next day, when I walked out into the sun heading for class. After climbing two flights of stairs and starting to sweat, I started to notice something unpleasant. The sweat was accumulating in my crack, and was causing the unpleasant sensation of my two asscheeks sliding past each other with every step. I thought about going to the bathroom and wiping it off, but had to get to class. Eventually, I thought, it would dry.

Unfortunately, it did dry, but only after mingling with the microscopic shit- molecules lingering around my brown starfish. When I stood up after class, my cheeks were stuck together with a slimy sticky shit/sweat combination. As I made my way back to my dorm, it started to itch. God-DAMN, did it itch! Felt like a swarm of ants was making its way up and down my crack. Fighting to keep from jamming my hand down there and scratching away, I rushed back to the dorm.

Unfortunately again, this exertion caused me to sweat, and when I finally reached my room, my cheeks were sliding back and forth against each other like a pair of horny cane-toads. I quickly dropped my pants, and attempted to dry my ass off by sticking it in front of a fan and spreading my cheeks. As I pulled the two mounds of flesh apart, a horrible stench burst free and filled the room. Every dog within a 4 block radius started to howl. I had it worst of all, as the ripe aroma of festering shit/sweat went into the fan and blew back into my face. I fought to keep from heaving. And as I sat there, fighting vomit, my ass cheeks spread and dripping, with the concentrated aroma of my body odor mixed with the tangy smell of my own shit blowing right into my face, I had only one thought: “It will be like this until the hair grows back. Weeks.”

Later on, trying to deal as best I could, wiping my ass at every opportunity, I discovered another wonderful use for ass-hair – ventilation. I attempted to launch a fart, only to have it get stuck between my asscheeks. Apparently, with no hair, the two pink twins can get vacuum sealed together, and the result was a frustrating fart that slid up and down between my cheeks like a lost gerbil.

As if that wasn’t enough, I am now enduring further torture. As anyone who has ever shaved anything knows, when hair is first growing in, it comes in as stubble. Imagine your ass having the texture of a brillo pad. Well, that is what I am dealing with now. It is a hellish torture, and there are many times when I just look out the window and contemplate why I shouldn’t just jump out and get it all over with in one fleshy splat, rather than endure this constant agony.

Friends, DON’T SHAVE YOUR ASS-HAIR!
