Barack Obama was elected on 4 November 2008 after a campaign that promised change.
One year on, BBC’s Newsbeat traveled across the country to find out how people feel in Obama’s America.
In the first of five reports, Jonathan Blake travels to Tennessee where unemployment is highest among young people to see how he’s trying to fix the economy.

That was an interesting report, B-man, and I believe it. The teens in my hood last summer just hung out, played basketball in the park pretty much all day long. At the time I didn’t think about it along generational lines, but I remember noting that all the courts were filled every day and just about anytime I went past. Anyway, the BBC nailed it.
