The Year America Dissolved by Paul Craig Roberts

Posted by BuelahMan on July 28, 2010

Originally presented on July 27, 2010 at “Information Clearing House” (h/t DProgram)

It was 2017. Clans were governing America.

The first clans organized around local police forces. The conservatives’ war on crime during the late 20th century and the Bush/Obama war on terror during the first decade of the 21st century had resulted in the police becoming militarized and unaccountable.

As society broke down, the police became warlords. The state police broke apart, and the officers were subsumed into the local forces of their communities. The newly formed tribes expanded to encompass the relatives and friends of the police.

The dollar had collapsed as world reserve currency in 2012 when the worsening economic depression made it clear to Washington’s creditors that the federal budget deficit was too large to be financed except by the printing of money.

With the dollar’s demise, import prices skyrocketed. As Americans were unable to afford foreign-made goods, the transnational corporations that were producing offshore for US markets were bankrupted, further eroding the government’s revenue base.

The government was forced to print money in order to pay its bills, causing domestic prices to rise rapidly. Faced with hyperinflation, Washington took recourse in terminating Social Security and Medicare and followed up by confiscating the remnants of private pensions. This provided a one-year respite, but with no more resources to confiscate, money creation and hyperinflation resumed.

Organized food deliveries broke down when the government fought hyperinflation with fixed prices and the mandate that all purchases and sales had to be in US paper currency. Unwilling to trade appreciating goods for depreciating paper, goods disappeared from stores.

Washington responded as Lenin had done during the “war communism” period of Soviet history. The government sent troops to confiscate goods for distribution in kind to the population. This was a temporary stop-gap until existing stocks were depleted, as future production was discouraged. Much of the confiscated stocks became the property of the troops who seized the goods.

Goods reappeared in markets under the protection of local warlords. Transactions were conducted in barter and in gold, silver, and copper coins.

Other clans organized around families and individuals who possessed stocks of food, bullion, guns and ammunition. Uneasy alliances formed to balance differences in clan strengths. Betrayals quickly made loyalty a necessary trait for survival.

Large-scale food and other production broke down as local militias taxed distribution as goods moved across local territories. Washington seized domestic oil production and refineries, but much of the government’s gasoline was paid for safe passage across clan territories.

Most of the troops in Washington’s overseas bases were abandoned. As their resource stocks were drawn down, the abandoned soldiers were forced into alliances with those with whom they had been fighting.

Washington found it increasingly difficult to maintain itself. As it lost control over the country, Washington was less able to secure supplies from abroad as tribute from those Washington threatened with nuclear attack. Gradually other nuclear powers realized that the only target in America was Washington. The more astute saw the writing on the wall and slipped away from the former capital city.

When Rome began her empire, Rome’s currency consisted of gold and silver coinage. Rome was well organized with efficient institutions and the ability to supply troops in the field so that campaigns could continue indefinitely, a monopoly in the world of Rome’s time.

When hubris sent America in pursuit of overseas empire, the venture coincided with the offshoring of American manufacturing, industrial, and professional service jobs and the corresponding erosion of the government’s tax base, with the advent of massive budget and trade deficits, with the erosion of the fiat paper currency’s value, and with America’s dependence on foreign creditors and puppet rulers.

The Roman Empire lasted for centuries. The American one collapsed overnight.

Rome’s corruption became the strength of her enemies, and the Western Empire was overrun.

America’s collapse occurred when government ceased to represent the people and became the instrument of a private oligarchy. Decisions were made in behalf of short-term profits for the few at the expense of unmanageable liabilities for the many. Overwhelmed by liabilities, the government collapsed.

Globalism had run its course. Life reformed on a local basis.

Rain Maker

Posted by drduhgylie on July 25, 2010

American Indians have rain dances to bring about rain.  The Finish people are believed to able to control the weather.  The Vikings wouldn’t attack the Finns and this rumor even lasted into the 1900′s with European ship captains refusing to hire Finnish sailors.  The Berwick witches were convicted of trying to kill King James VI with spells that affected the weather around his ship.  Artemis was appeased with human sacrifices and he saved the Achaean fleet @ Aulis during the trojan war.  Sailors tried to steal the four bags of wind from the keeper of these bags, Aeolus and were blown off course.

The first real form of weather control was the lighting rod. Recently the technology of manipulating light from stars that produce electromagnetic radiation is being studied.  This is more of a computer program than a scientific way of manipulating the weather.  Cloud seeding is another proven way that science can bring about rain.

Cloud Seeding

Making weather seems to be the goal of a lot of scientist around the world.  There are thousands of articles on the subject.  Russian scientist have been studying the theory since the  early 1900′s.  “Making weather” can be achieved to some point in a controled enviroment.  However being able to create a low pressure system and controlling its path has not been achieved.  Making a low pressure system stronger and more dangerous is definitely a possibility.  China is the world leader in trying and successfully making modifications to the weather.  China uses cloud seeding almost daily and has a government agency that deals with this technology as it’s only purpose.

The use of an EMP of some kind is another possible way to influence the weather.  An E bomb, as it is called, could be detonated above a storm system and have a direct effect on wind speed and lightning. Trying to figure out the right combination of static charged ions and deploying them at the right altitude over a storm is the goal of some scientist.  The interference of such a device on day-to-day communications would be tremendous.  But, if done over a storm in the middle of the ocean interference wouldn’t even be detected.  Storm systems are like a living and breathing creature with an energy signature.  So using static elctro charges is the logical way to manipulate storms.  Infrared  beams from numerous satellites at different angles is said to have an effect on wind speed and direction of travel.  Storms must have energy to feed upon, to continue to grow and sustain itself.  Therefore , surface temperature is a must, and must be in direct relation to the gradient pressure in and around the system.  This is the trouble with the HAARP system.  Unless you’re doing the same thing from below, storms dry up due to the rapid dew point changes using this system. The arch in St. Louis is also a weather controlling device.  It puts negative and positively charged ions from its legs into the atmosphere.  This device is turned on and off at the discretion of the powers at be.  Could a larger device be used to steer weather systems?  Yes it could, but the effects on human life would be tremendous if not terminal because of the amount of energy needed to do so.

The Gateway to the West

A secret weather controlling device

Weather is an ever-changing being and has been around since the first sun came up.  Bad weather has always been with us and in some years has been worse than others.  Do I think “they” are controlling the weather?  I know “they” are trying.  It seems it would be a lot worse than it is if someone is manipulating it.

SOME Ongoing Disasters!

Posted by Lynda on July 25, 2010

http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2010/07/16/the_world_s_worst_ongoing_disasters

SOME of The Globes Worst “ONGOING” Ecological Disasters

NIGERIA

Disaster: Oil spills
Going since: Around 1966

Damage done: The Deepwater Horizon incident may have been the worst oil spill in U.S. history, but it pales in comparison to the ongoing catastrophe that has afflicted Nigeria’s Niger River Delta over the last five decades. As many as 546 million gallons of oil are believed to have spilled since oil exploration began in this region — the equivalent of an Exxon Valdez spill every year. There are around 2,000 official spill sites in the region, some of them decades old.
Oil companies operating in the region blame thieves and sabotage for the majority of the spills, though local activists say aging equipment and lax safety are the cause of many of them. The number of severity of the spills may actually increase in coming years as the industry moves into more remote and difficult terrain in the delta.
It’s not just the spilled oil that can be dangerous. Pipeline explosions, like in the one that killed more than 100 people outside Lagos in 2008, are increasingly frequent as well.

CHINA

Disaster: Coal fires
Going since: 1962

Damage done: China’s recent industrial growth depends heavily on coal — the source of 70 percent of the country’s energy — a major reason why it recently became the world’s largest carbon emitter. The country’s mining sector is also extremely dangerous, killing as many as 13 miners every day. But nowhere is the danger of China’s out-of-control coal addiction more evident than in the 62 raging underground coal fires that have burned in Inner Mongolia since the early 1960s.
Covering an area more than 3,000 miles long, China’s northern coal fires are estimated to destroy as many as 20 million tons of coal per year, more than the entire annual production of Germany. According to some estimates, these fires could be the cause of up to 2 to 3 percent of the world’s carbon emissions from burning fossil fuels. A new initiative by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region aims to put half the fires out by 2012.
Inner Mongolia’s coal fires may be the most severe, but they are hardly unique. An underground fire in Centralia, Pa., begun the same year as many of China’s, is also still burning.
[remember they are battling an enormous oil spill in the China Sea currently]

HAITI

Disaster: Deforestation
Going since: 1492

Damage done: Haiti and the Dominican Republic share an island, as well as similar geographic and climate conditions. So why do severe storms and hurricanes — not to mention earthquakes — only cause horrific human tragedy on the Haitian side? One large reason is the almost complete destruction of Haiti’s trees.
When explorer Christopher Columbus first landed in what was then dubbed Hispañola, around three-fourths of it was covered in trees. Today, 98 percent of its forests are gone — one of the worst cases of deforestation in human history.
The main culprit is charcoal, by far the country’s most popular fuel source, which consumes up to 30 million trees per year. The Dominican Republic has banned cutting down trees for charcoal and subsidized propane as a substitute, and the contrast can be seen in satellite photographs of the border.
Without roots to hold the soil together, hurricanes and earthquakes are much more likely to case deadly landslides. The erosion of high-quality topsoil has also devastated Haiti’s agricultural sector, exacerbating its endemic poverty.
The list of challenges confronting Haiti following this year’s earthquake is long and daunting, but if the country is ever going to stand a fighting chance, what it needs more than anything else is more trees.

UZBEKISTAN/KAZAKHSTAN

Disaster: The shrinking of the Aral Sea
Going since: The 1960s

Damage done: Straddling the border of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the Aral Sea was once the world’s fourth-largest inland water body and home to at least 20 species of fish and a thriving coastal economy in the surrounding towns. In the early 1960s, the Soviet government built more than 45 dams and 20,000 miles of canals in an effort to create a cotton industry on the desert plains of Uzbekistan, depriving the sea of its main sources.
Over the next three decades, the sea shrank to two-fifths its original size, turning fishing villages into barren desert outposts. Thanks to the high salt content in the remaining water, all 20 fish species are now extinct. Drinking water supplies in the area are dangerously low and the ground contains dangerous pesticides from the cotton farms. When the wind sweeps across the now-dry sea bed, it spreads up to 75 million tons of toxic dust and salt across Central Asia every year.
Thankfully, dams constructed in the last decade on the Kazakh side seem to be leading to a partial recovery. The Northern Aral’s surface span has grown by 20 percent and fish and bird species are starting to return. The Southern Ara

PACIFIC OCEAN

Disaster: The Eastern Garbage Patch
Going since: Discovered in 1997

Damage done: Somewhere between California and Hawaii lies the world’s largest garbage dump — a massive soup of plastic and debris one-and-a-half times the size of the United States and 100 feet deep. The “patch” is the product of the North Pacific Gyre, a loop of currents that picks up trash from the West Coast of the United States and East Asia and funnels it into an endless loop in the North Pacific.
Within the patch, pieces of plastic outweigh zooplankton by a factor of 6 to 1, and are often mistaken by fish and birds for food. Chemicals from the plastic can also make their way into the food chain, including fish consumed by humans.
The patch is the most widely publicized example, but this is a global problem. According to the U.N. Environment Program the world’s oceans contain 46,000 pieces of plastic per square mile. These plastics are responsible for the deaths of more than a million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals every year.

The world is going to be close to it’s breaking point very very soon!

Bonnie

Posted by drduhgylie on July 22, 2010

Bonnie is the second tropical storm of the season.  Just now leaving the Bahamas and headed straight for the heart of the Gulf of Mexico and ground zero of the BP oil disaster.  This storm is expected to pick up strength and develop into a hurricane tomorrow or the day after.  Work is being halted in all phases of the DH spill.  Alex did little to show us what would happen when a storm came close to DH.  Bonnie is expected to come within a hundred miles (or closer) to the relief wells.  She will be in the SE part of the Gulf by Saturday.

Projected Path of Bonnie

If you click on the image of the path it will show you a clearer view of where the experts expect her to go.   Most of the models that have come out today show Bonnie is heading right for Louisiana and should make landfall on the 27th or 28th of this month.  Some experts say that the shear above the storm will keep it weak and it only has a 15% chance of reaching a Cat one or two storm.  However the rain associated with this storm is expected to be enormous and flood warnings are already posted for the Louisiana coast line.  Alabama and Mississippi are also expecting  huge amounts of rainfall also.  Will this rain be tainted with chemicals from the BP disaster?  Of course it will.  How much is yet to be seen.  What will the effects of those chemicals be on in land wildlife and plant life?  Again most of the wind and surge will be just off to the north and east of these tracks.  So south central MS and much of Louisiana are gonna get this acid rain.  Our neighbors in Louisiana have been dealt bad enough hands in the past few years and this is just another one.  The water in the Gulf is warm, if not hot.  With recorded temps reaching record breaking numbers.  This is just fuel for Bonnie to gain more strength.  NOAA has a little more info about the weather and the oil spill.

There is far more than BP F’ing Up!

Posted by Lynda on July 22, 2010

Pipeline repaired as China works to contain spill– direct hands-on at risk! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38358995/ns/us_news-environment

BEIJING — China and environmental observers said cleanup efforts on the country’s largest reported oil spill were progressing Thursday, but the environmental and economic damage was clear.
The cleanup — marred by the drowning of a worker this week, his body coated in crude — continued over a 165 square mile (430 square kilometer) stretch of the Yellow Sea off the northeastern city of Dalian, one of China’s major ports and strategic oil reserve sites.
China National Petroleum Corp. said Thursday that the pipeline that exploded and caused the oil spill last Friday had resumed operations. The blast had reduced oil shipments from part of China’s strategic oil reserves to the rest of the country. The cause of the explosion that started the spill was still not clear.
The company, Asia’s biggest oil-and-gas producer by volume, also said more than 400 tons of oil had been cleaned up by 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to a posting on its website.
The environmental group Greenpeace China released photos Thursday of local fishermen cleaning up oily sludge at Weitang Bay with shovels, and of an employee scooping up dead snails at Guotai Water Products Farm, about 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) from the site of the explosion and spill.
“Dalian’s seafood farming and tourism industries have taken critical hits,” Greenpeace China said in a statement. It estimated 10,000 shellfish farms have been contaminated.
Fishing in the waters around Dalian has been banned through the end of August, the state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
Greenpeace China also saw progress in the cleanup at Jinshitan, one of Dalian’s most popular beaches.
“On Jinshitan beach, several hundred fishermen, citizens and paramilitary police were using straw mats to absorb the oil,” said Zhong Yu, a Greenpeace China worker. “The cleanup there was almost done, but the air still remained smelly.”
The Dalian Daily newspaper cited an official in charge of cleanup efforts as saying the polluted area was shrinking, but no update on the spill size was issued Thursday.
It remained unclear exactly how much oil has spilled, but state media has said no more is leaking into the sea.
China Central Television earlier reported an estimate of 1,500 tons of oil has spilled. That would amount roughly to 400,000 gallons (1,500,000 liters) — as compared with 94 million to 184 million gallons in the BP oil spill off the U.S. coast.
The ecological harm from the spill could last a decade, Zhao Zhangyuan, a researcher with the China Environmental Science Research Institute, told the Shanghai Morning News earlier this week.
“The most critical is the effect on people, the effect on health,” Zhao said, because the decomposing oil will produce some carcinogenic substances that could move along the food chain to humans.

Question? What will happen as countless people in China DEMAND oil for their new found ‘Western’ lifestyle desirers?
Just stop the world, I want to get off please. NOW!

WTF Thursday: The Danger of Weed Vs The Danger of Booze

Posted by BuelahMan on July 22, 2010

Cate from The Phlebotomist shared the following graphic and a link to her site (well worth the visit).

I know from vast personal experience (7 DUI charges before 1986) that alcohol is far more debilitating than weed when driving (or doing ANYTHING else, for that matter). I won’t get into tall the details of my DUI’s, but suffice it to say that it makes me far more careless and unable to drive in a safe method.

Compare that to weed and the thousands of miles I have traveled under that influence and not only do I not have a DUI for it, I have not had an accident in many years because it ENHANCES my driving abilities. This isn’t a dream or a wish… it is imperative fact proven after years and many hundreds of thousands of miles of driving. When someone tells you that it limits or hinders your response times, you are being fed a line of heavy duty shit.

There simply is NO comparison in the effects of these two substances. Period. If you have tried it, you know what I say is true.

Now, I am not here telling you to get high and drive. I am telling you that in my case, the lies are obvious. It is possible that I am some sort of exceptional person who handles the substance differently than every other human on earth (Kelso believes that certain ethnic backgrounds can lead a person to be able to tolerate the stuff or not). I am not convinced, but I won’t argue. He claims that cocaine is metabolized differently in S Americans than N Americans and that the “war on drugs” is about fighting something that many S Americans have no addictive issues with.

IF this is true, then it only stands to reason that THC may act differently, as well.

I don’t know, so I can only speak for myself and the many others I know who partake. Of all the friends I have who partake (or once did), I cannot find a single one that agrees that weed is as bad as alcohol in effect. (There is one caveat to this statement, I know of a couple of folks who have since become extremely religious who won’t make the claim about it being as bad as alcohol, but suggest that ANY mind-altering substance is a sin, so they won’t use. To this, I say, “To each his own”. But, do not, even for a second, think that you can debate me on this subject with that as your sole informational source. (Do so at your verbal-spanking peril)

The media puts a quick bag over the head of ugly news (anything that goes against the government controlled meme), hoping to keep the truth from an ever-increasingly learned public. But the truth of the matter is that marijuana is one of the MOST-Studied substances on the face of the earth. Paul Armentano, NORML‘s Deputy Director, explains that even as the talking heads and other government asswipes call for more investigations and study into this plant, there is ample evidence to disprove nearly each and every bogus “war on drugs” scare tactic claims there are.

I have mentioned the FACT that marijuana inhibits and KILLS cancer cell growth in a variety of cancers (see here, here and here, as just a few examples). But Paul points out that all the talking heads up in arms about more research conveniently disregard all the information and studies already done. Its as if as long as the news doesn’t fit the lie, do not repeat it and call for even more studies in hopes of finding one that will agree with the lie those who profit from the war on drugs gain from.

For example, researchers at the State University of New York (SUNY), Upstate Medical University in Syracuse published data in the June issue of the journal Pharmacology concluding that the administration of the plant cannabinoids delta-8-THC and delta-9-THC halted cellular respiration and tumor growth in human oral cancer cells. Specifically, investigators reported that cannabinoids were a “potent inhibitor” of Tu183 human cancer cells, a notoriously difficult to treat type of oral cancer.

Of course, this is hardly the first time that pot’s compounds have been demonstrated to possess anti-cancer properties. As has been widely reported here and elsewhere, US government researchers were first aware of this finding over 35 years ago, and today there exist published scientific studies demonstrating that cannabinoids can inhibit the proliferation of a wide range of cancers — including brain cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, pancreatic cancer, biliary tract cancer, and lymphoma. Nonetheless, abstract prohibitionist concerns regarding marijuana’s supposed cancer risk continue to dominate the headlines while actual scientific studies debunking these allegations tend to go unnoticed.

Similarly, preclinical data published online last week in the journal Cell Communication and Signaling reported that the administration of the non-psychoactive cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) increases adult neurogenesis (the active production of new neurons) in laboratory animals. Authors speculated that cannabis’ pro-neurogenic effects may explain why the plant appears to be useful in the treatment of certain neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease or ALS.

As I wrote last week, to date there are now over 20,000 published studies or reviews in the scientific literature pertaining to marijuana and its active compounds — making marijuana the most studied plant on Earth. But what’s the point in further research if nobody even bothers to pay attention to the research that’s already been done?

New Video for Redstate Revolt TV: 911 False Flag

Posted by BuelahMan on July 20, 2010

German produced documentary

Purchse DVD: http://www.nuoviso.com

The world has changed after September 11th. Its changed because were no longer safe.

These words were used by the George W. Bush, elected President of the United States in 2000, to dictate the political direction for the 21st Century.

Whereas Americans launch attacks relatively quickly, first on Afghanistan and later on Iraq, using falsified evidence, doubts about the official version of the events of September 11th grows. The speculations that surfaced on the internet directly after the attacks were considered to be just wild conspiracy theories until this now. Yet the circumstantial evidence and even the substantial evidence itself paints a clear picture. The responsibility for the terrible attacks seems to lie not with Islamic Terrorists but with several high-ranking members of the military and administration of the U.S. Government. This documentary focuses on the inconsistencies in the official version of the events as well as on the evidence which has been suppressed regarding September 11th. In addition, it answers the questions of why we still know nothing about it to this day and why we are being deceived also in european countries.

35 and Rising

Posted by BuelahMan on July 16, 2010

NOAA has expanded the closed fishing area in the Gulf to 35%. Notice that this includes most of America’s most prime fish production area (and some of the most accessible). Also notice how the expansion is moving towards the western coast of Florida. Given time, these areas will be closed, as well.

No matter if they actually do close this gusher off (at this point, the pressure tests are inconclusive), there has already been enough contamination to ruin almost all of it. And, yes, we keep hearing from the government-controlled lap-dog media that it isn’t leaking any more (except when they mess up and allow an expert to actually sneak in the same questions I keep asking people who tell me it is capped off):

Matt Simmons has been labeled Dr Doom of the Gulf disaster. But he has credentials that are hard to ignore, so, is it possible that the well head was already blown out and is leaking from many different places under the sea floor? Is all of this “capping” smoke and mirrors, as I suspect? It may just be my suspicion of all things government, but there are some things that still don’t add up to me (like why they appear to be dragging their feet at every opportunity… how this seems to be a major setup and someone like Exxon will end up owning BP, but not the disaster… etc). Maybe I am an uneducated Dr Doom Lite.

It’s not like NOAA doesn’t hide and coverup shit:

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is hoarding vast amounts of raw data that independent marine researchers say could help both the public and scientists better understand the extent of the damage being caused by the massive BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

In most cases, NOAA insists on putting the data through a ponderous, many-weeks-long vetting process before making it public.

In other cases, NOAA actually intended to keep the data secret indefinitely. But officials told the Huffington Post on Tuesday that they have now decided to release it — though when remains unclear.

BP, incidentally, gets to see all this data right away.

Cool. The murderer gets access all the evidence while all us victims get shit. Sounds about right.

And just in case you folks over on the eastern side of Florida think you have it made (or those of you in Europe, for that matter), there is another, more recent (and likely accurate) 360 day animation of how this spill will be taken around thru the filtering Florida Keys (meaning it will kill everything there, as well) then takes it up the eastern sea board and into the Atlantic Ocean.

These animations show the spread of the oil spill from the Deepwater Horizon rig over one year. They were created from a series of computer simulations by a team of researchers at the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology, University of Hawaii at Manoa: Fabian Schloesser from the Department of Oceanography, Axel Timmermann and Oliver Elison Timm from the International Pacific Research Center Hawaii.

For the simulations, 5 million buoyant particles were released continuously from April 20 to September 17, 2010, at the location of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig. The release occurred in ocean flow data from simulations conducted with the high-resolution Ocean General Circulation Model for the Earth Simulator (OFES). The paths of the particles were calculated over 360 days from the beginning of the spill. The simulations were conducted with surface ocean circulation data of 5 typical years rather than the actual flow fields. The dispersal of the particles does not capture such effects as oil coagulation, formation of tar balls, chemical dispersion and microbial degradation. Computed surface concentrations relative to the actual spill may therefore be overestimated. The simulation, thus, is not a detailed, specific prediction, but rather a scenario that could help guide research and mitigation efforts.

The animations show the calculated surface particle concentrations for grid boxes about 10-km-by-10-km in size into April 2011. For an estimated flow of oil from the Deepwater Horizon well of 50,000 barrels per day over a 150 day period, a concentration of e.g. 10 particles per a grid box corresponds roughly to an oil volume of 2 m3 per ~100 km2 area. The animations show the initial spreading of oil into the Gulf of Mexico followed by its entry from the Loop Current into the narrow Florida Current and then the Gulf Stream. Transported by the Gulf Stream, the erratic paths of the particles in the Atlantic are due to strong current instabilities associated with ocean eddies and recirculations. This leads to a high degree of particle dispersal and dilution in the open Atlantic away from the coast.

These computer simulations suggest that the coastlines near the Carolinas, Georgia and Northern Florida could see the effects of the oil spill as early as October 2010. The main branch of the subtropical gyre is likely to transport the oil film towards Europe, although strongly diluted. Furthermore, the animations show that as the northeasterly winds intensify near Florida around October and November, the oil in the Atlantic moves closer to the eastern shores of the US, whereas it retreats from the western shores of Florida. These changes are due to a balance between wind forcing of ocean currents and the Coriolis effect.

The animations furthermore suggest that the narrow, deep Straits of Florida force the Florida Current into a narrow channel, creating a tight bottleneck for the spreading of oil into the Atlantic. After one year, about 20% of the particles initially released at the Deepwater Horizon location had been transported through the Straits of Florida into the open Atlantic according to an averaging over the 5 different years of typical ocean surface current data. The animations suggest that a filtering system in the narrowest spot of the Florida Current could mitigate the spreading of the oil film into the North Atlantic.

Man, please don’t get me wrong… I hope this thing is closed off. I hope that I am just a jaded bastard who has his trust misapplied and that is completely wrong about what I think is going on. I swear I hope I am wrong about my gut reaction.

It would be nice if someone could point me to some real good news about this (keeping my fingers crossed about this cap solution).

At least they have their fall guys selected.

The worst oil spill in U.S. history was triggered by firefighting boats that flooded the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig with water, causing it to sink into the Gulf of Mexico and damage BP Plc’s well, a lawsuit claims.

My little sister recently came back from Pensacola and confirmed almost everything I warned her about before she went. So, who are we going to believe? The government’s mouthpiece, those that we know personally and/or those that actually live there and are documenting the cover-ups:

Listen To The Animals

Posted by BuelahMan on July 15, 2010

My buddy, Chicken Bill, and I were fishing recently when we saw some birds I didn’t recognize. Some sort of Tern. Bill explained that he had never heard of these being so far north, which prompted my question of whether or not animals were giving us signs that they are being forced to move away from their natural habitats for places further north.

Could this be just like the stories of dogs and other animals “knowing” when an earthquake or Tsunami is impending and they run for high ground? Some cultures watch these signs and take off for high ground with them, they are so accurate.

Truthout featured an article by Dahr Jamail and Erika Blumenfeld entitled Toxic Dispersants Near Gulf Harm Humans and Wildlife.

Please read the entire article and focus on what the animals are doing:

I’m horrified by the video. Tears well in my eyes. Gene takes one look at my face and says, “It’s not natural for crabs to come out of the water like this. They never want to come out of the water if they can help it. They are trying to escape.”

Tracy chimes in. “We are seeing this all over the Gulf now – dolphins, fish, running from the dispersant and oil because they can’t breath. Marine life knows to run out of the way, but we don’t.”

Gene tells us, “This is ripping my heart to pieces. I’m living in high anxiety.” Vicky says that BP and the government are playing down the disaster, when in reality, “anything out there should not be eaten” while pointing out to the water.

Disturbingly, the day after Gene filmed the crabs fleeing the water, residents living near Lake Pontchartrain reported finding thousands of dead fish and crabs in the canals near their homes.

We drive over to Gene and Vicky’s after they inform us of dead crabs and fish floating in sheen-covered water by their boat. Outside their mobile home, from which they are about to be evicted, Gene walks us over to where his boat sits in a nearby bayou.

Dead crabs float in a sheen of oil. It is a toxic soup of stench and death that fouls the air and burns my nose. As I stand looking on in horror, with more tears welling up in my eyes, Gene says, “I’m 52 years old and I’ve never seen crabs crawl out of the water at night. I also saw shrimp swimming in little circles on the surface.”

Vicky, standing nearby, says, “I think this is just the beginning. This is just the small stuff. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Over time bigger and bigger stuff will be washing up here.”

The oil is bad enough, but the Corexit is what will make it the biggest killer:

China owns your body too

Posted by Lynda on July 14, 2010

Poisoned dog food and tooth paste??? Faulty mechanics and electronics??? so– you REALLY think your not at their mercey with what you stick in your mouth???? I HATE what our country gave away… jobs, industry, standards, quality assurance… etc etc etc etc

http://cnn.com/video/?/video/health/2010/07/14/sylvester.drugs.from.china.cnn

When numerous pharmaceutical companies across the US have started closing down their plants and transferring the production of many crucial drugs and their components abroad, few were concerned with national security. The primary concern back then was job loss and social security. But today more and more experts and authorities start looking at the problem form a different point of view. Depending on drugs manufactured overseas is a risk that the national security just cannot take. Thus there are more frequent calls to design a law that would assure some essential drugs to be manufactured in the US. Senator Sherrod Brown, Democrat of Ohio, states that this is a very weak spot for the national defense, leaving many opportunities for biological terrorisms and other risks. A few decades ago, the majority of drugs bought and taken in the United States were produced within the borders of the country. But as with many other large-scale production operations, the manufacturing of of drugs was moved to Asia due to the considerably lower costs, allowing manufacturers to maximize their profits. The main ingredients for most essential drugs like antibiotics and painkillers are now manufactured only in China and India. So don’t be surprised to find out that the Zithromax you give your child for an ear infection has a “made in China” label. Amongst the 1,154 productions manufacturing drugs that are noted in generic medication applications to the FDA in 2007, only 13 percent were located in the United States was only 13 percent. 43 percent of the plants were registered in China, and 39 percent in India. The whole healthcare system of the United States relies upon drugs, which 96% are manufactured in developing countries that have no strict environmental or hygienic regulations. And this of course makes the United States a lot more vulnerable to external influences. Dr. Yusuf K. Hamied, chairman of Cipla, one of the biggest suppliers of medical ingredients in the whole world, tells that his company and other major pharmaceutical businesses have become very dependent on Chinese suppliers. It is to the extend that if in one day China will suddenly stops suppling pharmaceutical ingredients, the entire global drug-manufacturing industry would be completely destroyed the same day. The problem is far more serious because the sources for the ingredients, which the Chinese and Indian manufacturers use in their production are unclear. Officially it is kept as a secret, but the fact is that even after the public listing of master files required by the FDA, the most part of the presented data was inaccurate or out of date, because the is no strict requirement for the manufacturers to list their suppliers. The number of overseas drug plants in one federal database is about 3,000 businesses. Another database has 6,800 entries. And there’s no clear explanation of which one is correct. In this situation, China becomes a very significant element for the national security for the US. And if the Chinese authorities become upset with President Obama it is not hard to imagine how devastating the consequences might be.

Take Over, Smake Over…

BP’s boss met officials from an Abu Dhabi state fund on Wednesday as hopes for fresh investment and progress towards closing a leaking U.S. oil well lifted the company’s battered shares.

BP CEO meets UAE’s ADIA – source
by ReutersThis email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it on Wednesday, 07 July 2010

A United Arab Emirates official said Chief Executive Tony Hayward had met officials from Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) during a routine visit.

He spoke as speculation mounted of a stake purchase by a Middle East or Asian sovereign wealth fund to help BP ward off takeovers and pay the rising costs of the worst oil spill in U.S. history.

The UAE official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Hayward’s visit was a scheduled one mainly for discussion of BP’s concessions with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

“With the CEO in Abu Dhabi speaking to the sovereign wealth fund to get some investment it’s not surprising that there is some enthusiasm in the market for BP shares,” said Mic Mills, head of electronic trading at London-based ETX Capital.

BP has said it has no plans to issue new equity to anyone, but bankers say it is on a marketing drive for its stock – which has fallen by half since the Gulf of Mexico well blew out on April 20.

“This is not part of him travelling the world with a begging bowl asking for equity contributions,” a BP spokesman told the UAE’s National newspaper. “We are not preparing an equity offering but we’re keen that people appreciate the value in BP.”

The well being drilled to halt the spill is a week ahead of schedule, the U.S. official overseeing the response to the disaster said on Tuesday.

Retired Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen told reporters in Houston on Tuesday that crews were still aiming to finish drilling two relief wells in mid-August, and he shot down speculation that the first of the two wells could plug the leak in July.

BP shares, already on the rise in recent days, rose a further 9 percent in New York trade and reached their highest since June 21 in London on Wednesday, standing 3.8 percent higher at 358.8 pence at 0949 GMT.

“Anything that would speed up the process or any kind of success at all as far as capping it would be a welcome relief. Then you can get down to a definitive range of liability,” said Alan Lancz, president at Alan B. Lancz & Associates Inc in Toledo, Ohio.

A third vessel at the leak site that will nearly double BP’s oil-capture capacity to 53,000 barrels a day from around 25,000 is now partially hooked up, although rough seas are hampering efforts to finish the job.

Estimates of the leak’s severity vary widely and run as high as a 100,000 barrels per day.

BP is already committed to a $20 billion fund for clean-up and other costs stemming from the largest offshore oil spill in U.S. history. Its costs to date have topped $3 billion.

The ultimate costs may well depend on how much crude is determined to have leaked from the well that blew when a rig exploded on April 20, killing 11 workers. Investors are keenly eyeing containment efforts.

Analysts said that barring other negative news, the stock may have found a floor with its New York closing price of $26.97 on June 25. Shares are up 16 percent since the close on that day, closing at $31.91 in New York on Tuesday.

“All the negative news on the stock has had its impact,” said Kurt Wulff, president at McDep LLC, an oil and gas research firm in Needham, Massachusetts.

“We’re optimistic that the news can get better from there. The talk about sovereign buyers may not lead to anything, but it certainly means that value-orientated investors are seeing opportunity.”

The spill is wreaking havoc on coastal ecosystems, fishing communities and a tourist industry seen as especially important during a time of high unemployment. It has also thrust itself to the top of President Barack Obama’s crowded domestic agenda and presented a tough test for his leadership.

A source in the UAE said on Tuesday that BP executives held talks with sovereign wealth funds in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Qatar, as well as one in Singapore, to find a partner who might help it avoid being taken over.

Several sovereign funds already hold BP stakes. Norway and Kuwait control about 1.8 percent each, China has 1.1 percent and Singapore 0.7 percent, according to Thomson Reuters data.

Hayward’s meeting in Abu Dhabi concerns an oil concession that dates back to 1939 and is due to expire in 2014.

BP is a minority stakeholder in Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO). Informal talks on renewal have taken place between Abu Dhabi authorities and companies involved for years. ADCO is responsible for onshore oil production in Abu Dhabi, the emirate that holds most of the United Arab Emirates’ oil reserves.

State run oil giant Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) holds a majority 60 percent stake in the concession. BP holds 9.5 percent, as do Royal Dutch Shell, Total and Exxon Mobil.

Tests showed tar balls washed up on the Texas coast were from the spill, meaning every U.S. Gulf state – Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and now Texas – has been soiled by the largest offshore oil spill in the country’s history.

There was a chance disturbed weather over the southern Gulf of Mexico could strengthen into a tropical storm this week, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

Although it was not expected to travel over the site of the blown-out BP well, it could come closer than Hurricane Alex, which interrupted the cleanup operations last week. (Reuters)

Did it attack?

Posted by Lynda on July 14, 2010

… is this why they shot it???

Honestly, this reminds me of the ignorant hunter who saw a bear he knew was a unheard of mix between a polar bear and grizzly. So– instead of just reporting the sighting for research– he killed the animal, proudly. geeeece.

   http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/chupacabras-in-texas/6sis231?from=

The above video has pictices of the animal. Of course I would of thought that for such an ‘amazing’ shooting that the photos would of been far far better and more of them. hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm??? Just sayin’
