I am not sure how it is feasible for some people to swallow the bullshit and form an opinion (much less actually write it out for all to see) that culminates in this piece by Mike Whitney at Counterpunch, but I see it happening all over the blogosphere that I tend to read. There are folks who are pushing for this man without a clue of his real plan. In this sickening display, Whitney ends his idiotic hogwash with this:
Okay, so let’s say it all goes-down just as we said. Let’s say Paul tries to strangle Social Security from Day 1. Isn’t that still infinitely better than another Falluja, another Haditha, another Abu Ghraib, another bombed-out wedding party?
Yes, it’s wrong to deprive the sick and elderly of some pittance so they can eek by, but is it as wrong as blowing women and children to bits in their own country, in their own cities, in their own homes?
It’s a question of priorities, right? So, what’s more important; ending the bloodletting or some potential threat to Social Security?
Paul will stop the killing. We should use our vote to do the same.
Poor Mike must be too lazy (or just too stupid) to do some easy math (maybe he just doesn’t have his priorities right). I broke it down here just a few days ago and maybe someone needs to send a link to this kow-towing peckerhead. Other than Dr Doug, Yancey, Oren and a few others in that PPPP group, there has been virtually nothing said about this on the net. Surely, either I am incorrect and people are simply ignoring the post and revealing numbers or they know and don’t want to upset the Pauline Apple Cart (I mean, we have “hope” to “change” and all that, again, right?)’
AGAIN, for all you math-deficient people:
35% cut in Medicaid
43% cut in SCHIP
63% cut in Foodstamps
15% cut in miltary
Paul will keep all of the Bush era tax cuts for the wealthy in place. Abolish various inheritance and other rich folk taxes.
Now, Mike, (if you read this), look into his economic plan and show me where all the tax relief for poor folks is found. Show me how it is that the rich bastards who brought us to this place of disaster (speculators, bankers, etc) are being given even MORE ways to get richer and us poor folk get jack-squat. I want to hear your explanation.
It sickens me to see people fall over themselves just to elect the “sElection” put in front of them without a critical examination of the rhetoric.
Mike, you have been counter-punched for your stupidity. Let’s see what you got.
