Here’s Some Cake For Your Consumption… I Love Cake

I love Cake.

I love trumpets (I play one). I love basses (I’m learning to play one).

Cake has the best of both worlds. If you never heard of them, you should take a listen. The lead singer sorta raps his lyrics, which in this case is freakin’ awesome.

Here is a remake that is almost as cool as the original (in some ways, even better):

I saved what may be my favorite for last (this is a remake of the old Gloria Gaynor hit and the bass licks blew me away):

There are so many more really cool songs by them (“Love You Madly”,” Rock and Roll Lifestyle”, and “Jesus Wrote a Blank Check”… just to mention a few).

Here’s the weird thing… I only heard of them in the last week, but they have been around for 2 decades.

As Dr Doug told me, I should get out more.
