“Either Learn or Die”

I have friends from different levels of social status. I know people that are fairly wealthy (I know no one that is ultra-wealthy, even tho these wealthy ones might “think” they are ultra-wealthy), they have everything they need and most of what they want in life. Most of these folks are oblivious to what is happening to this country around them. Generally, they are very busy with work and when they aren’t working, they are PLAYING very hard, so they don’t take the time to really look around themselves and notice that for most people the whole thing is falling apart.

I have another financial level of friends who once were like me, well off and happy with life (I am one of the above who has lost it all since, learning my hard life’s lesson in the meantime). Most of these folks have just enough to get by, but in many instances have no idea what is causing their hardships and the recent job loss. Many of them are still fairly happy, but are beginning to question their government and what has happened. Generally, they still put faith and trust in the government and seem to think that the leaders are doing their best, but are making a few mistakes. Can’t get too mad if they are trying, right?

I have another strata of friends that are dirt poor. Some have a health problem that disallows any full-time work. Most have never had much of anything. I must say, weird as it is, that most of them seem more happy than the other layers. Everyday is a struggle, so when they do experience some relief, it is wonderful for them. Many have too little food for their family and are forced to rely on family and friends to make it. Most of these folks don’t have internet access and most all they get in the area of news and information is found on the TV. It keeps them in their place and from learning the truth about how they have been ripped off.

These people even find that they are now being targeted even more. Noor at Snippits and Slappits shared an article by Ned Resnikoff that explains how debtor prisons are on the rise (see “Poverty Treated As Crime“).

It doesn’t matter that most of these people cannot get a job, much less a “good” job. The fact is that all the “good” jobs are gone or leaving (except for the few that make up the “wealthy” people I described above… but their realization quickly comes). As a matter of fact, a “Light’s Out Moment Is Coming” and there will be only 23% of American Companies intend to hire or expand in the 6 months (I am sure this will be music to my wife’s ears).

Now the poor are being targeted for missing a fine and other minor issues. Seems about right seeing how not a single banker, regulator or politician has been held accountable for wrecking the economy and sending the jobs away.

By and large, the ones that do seem to be paying attention in the alternative media fall into the upper two levels (many were in the higher level and now have lost enough to drop down).

What I want people to know is that as I have warned folks for the past three years, most everything financially that I warned about has happened or is happening as I write this. We are getting very close to the termination point of the great American experiment and they will usher us into the newer global financial system which will squash the poor even more. You wannabe “rich folk” (who only THINK you are rich) are next in line.

It comes and those that refuse to take the time to learn how to take care of themselves will die. IMO, it is already too late for many of us, for if you haven’t already learned the hunting/gardening skills required… if you haven’t figured out that you are going to need clean water… if you don’t have a weapon to protect yourself and family from the crazy hordes of unprepared souls looking to NOT starve and will do ANYTHING, including kill you and your family for a few cans of beans… well, basically, you are screwed.
