Paulsterity Comes No Matter What or Who

Paulsterity comes. Don’t doubt it. It doesn’t matter whether or not it is Ron Paul, Paul Ryan, or anyone else that is (s)Elected by for us. Luckily, many of the PaulTards have awakened to his Republican Party protectionism, cronyism and lies. Sure, like ObamaManiacs, there are still enough die-hards that still believe to keep him in the news to a certain extent, but it seems that his true colors have shown many of the thinkers what I’ve been saying all along: if they are part of either of the corrupt “parties”, then they are corrupt and certainly do not deserve your support ot leadership positions in this country.

Again, as if I am a worn out record, Never an R or D Again. I hope you get it soon.

Why will Paulsterity come, even with the new VP candidate, ‘Paul’sterity Ryan? Because he is openly calling for it. Steve Lendman lays it out plainly in his post, “Paul Ryan’s Socially Destructive Agenda“:

Paul Ryan’s Socially Destructive Agenda

by Stephen Lendman

Ryan and other Republican House Budget Committee members call it “The Path to Prosperity: A Blueprint for American Renewal.”

Key is gutting vital programs millions of Americans rely on. Ryan wants Medicare privatized as well as Medicaid, food stamps, and and other entitlement programs ended.

Later, he wants Social Security privatized en route to ending it altogether.

The sad part is that most of the claims are lies: such as SSI being an ‘entitlement’. The fact is that SSI is something that most of us “invest” in our entire lives, just as 71 year old Tom Nielsen told Ryan at one of his meet and greets. Of course, if Tom (or anyone else) bothers to explain to Ryan this pertinent fact, it does come at a cost:

As Congressman Paul Ryan cracked a joke about him, Tom Nielsen found himself face down on the floor being handcuffed by police. The 71-year-old retired plumber from Kenosha was thrown to the ground, placed in handcuffs, and arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest after objecting to Ryan’s plans to gut Social Security and Medicare during his congressman’s only public appearance scheduled during the August recess — a $15 Rotary Club luncheon in West Allis on Tuesday.

Nielsen repeatedly told police that he wasn’t fighting them and that he didn’t want to make any trouble. He also told them several times that he had a broken shoulder. Police officers ignored his comments as they wrestled him to the ground despite his howls of pain.

Nielsen’s comment to Ryan at the luncheon, his arrest, and Ryan’s joke are all captured on video available here.

You see how that works. Go see your elected official, explain to him how bogus his claims are, then get your ass arrested or thrown in jail. (I should ask you, how many times have you heard about this incident? I saw it a DProgram and nowhere else (forgive me if someone posted it and I missed it). Steve Lendman goes on to explain that Paul’s claims are lies or manipulations from a rich, out-of-touch, “Libertarian” who is hardly libertarian. He claims Ayn Rand is his hero, but he defies everything that callous, evil hag had to say. Maybe the true Libertarians will make this openly known to all the PaulTards and MittFreaks.

Medicaid is welfare for low-income beneficiaries. Washington and states co-fund it. It’s managed at the state level.

Social Security and Medicare are insurance programs, not entitlements. Worker-employer payroll tax deductions fund them. They’re contractual federal obligations to eligible recipients. Gutting them is irresponsible and socially destructive. Like Republicans, Obama and most Democrats are committed to doing it.

Social security provides vital retirement, disability, survivorship, and death benefits. It’s America’s most effective poverty reduction program. It’s worked remarkably well since inception.

It’s the debt, stupid, America’s “fiscal cliff,” they claim. Gutting social programs assures unrestricted military spending, maintaining tax cuts for rich elites, cutting amounts corporations pay, and sustaining handouts to bankers and other corporate favorites.

It’s not going bankrupt. When properly administered, it’s sound and secure. It needs only modest adjustments at times to assure it.

Go read the entire article.

Here’s the rub, tho. At a time where bankers rip us all off with impunity, at a time where all our resources are being wasted in hellholes of our making like Afghanistan and Iraq (and the rest of the Empire’s invasions/occupations) at a time of the entire world’s economy deterioration, we (the poor, “invested” Americans) need this “insurance” we have paid in to our entire lives.

NOW is the WORST time for Paulsterity. NOW is the BEST time to stop the Empire.

Now is the time to turn back the Mitts, Baracks and Pauls.

I wish it would happen.
