B’Man’s Patriot Watch: Ross Caputi

Posted by BuelahMan on March 9, 2011

“They had every right to fight against me and I had no right to fight against them.”

“My drill instructor was right: I was only in it for what the Marine Corps can give to me.”

h/t Wariscrime.org

This young man realized the same lie told to so many of my friends’ kids. He discusses how he was bullshitted into believing these lies. He acknowledges that he felt that he had no other choice, except low wage jobs such as landscaping and believed that his marine job would lead to something better when he got out.

But then they accuse him of using the marines and try to force him into the old brainwashing that gets most of them, suggesting that he should do it to be a patriot. Well, standing up to the lies is what makes him a patriot. Telling the truth about the illegal and immoral invasions… torture… maiming and killing of innocent people is what makes him a patriot. And I thank him for telling the truth.

But he finally realized that the toll that the Iraqi people paid is far more than any gains he would ever make. The murder of innocents and the fact that people much like those in his hometown were forced either to leave or fight to keep their homes. He saw that depleted uranium weaponry has caused untold birth defects and deaths.

It is these types of young people who need to stand up and tell the real side of the story and help stop the madness. At the very least, they may convince those that feel that this is the only job they can get to keep trying for something else and leave this murderous Empire’s assassin squads.

The Mandate: Savage Austerity While Inflation Skyrockets

Posted by BuelahMan on October 30, 2010

I think it is pretty obvious what is about to occur in this country. The unconscious American public is about to embark on massive changes to their social structure and welfare. We have basically fallen into the prescribed “sides” of the issues they want us divided into and have swallowed the bait and the hook is set.

Us “lefties” and you “righties” (or vice versa, whichever side you think we belong will suffice, for in reality it all means nothing) will go to the polls next Tuesday and we will vote for the lesser of two evils (AGAIN). The Republicans have hijacked the Tea Party making it nothing more than the Corporate Republican scalawags and you people have totally dumped the ideology that made you attractive to real patriots who are trying to change the system. How you could allow it is beyond me, but you did it. You let those fools co-opt you into becoming the same old Corporately fed, Zionist fawning, Imperial backing Republican Party that Dr Paul speaks AGAINST (but sadly won’t leave, making him moot, as well).

Then we have that other side of “Socialists” (yeah, right) that back a Kenyan infiltrator (lol) who is nothing but an extension of the last asshole that held that position. You forgot all your bitches about illegal wars, about torture, about loss of liberty and have swallowed the Dem Party storyline of “at least we aren’t Bush” (even tho nothing of any substance has changed).

You people keep us in the never-ending ping-pong game of  lesser evils, all-the-while never figuring out that evil is evil. Period. I live amongst the most gullible lot of nincompoops, if this is the best you can do.

As for me, if and when I go into any voting booth, I will write in…

NONE OF THE ABOVE

…if confronted with an R or D choice.

Of course, the sycophants from the left will say, “But that is a vote for the Republicans” and the righty sycophants will say, “You are voting for a Democrat.” But that is what ignorant sycophants do. They conveniently forget how we got to where we are and that these fools they follow and idolize are simply two sides of the same tainted coin.

I haven’t forgotten:

I remember it vividly, whereas the sycophantic rightys can’t seem to muster two brain cells together to recall the 8 years previous to the latest disaster POTUS administration. For God’s sakes, you are flirting with that idiot, Newt. WTF? Have you no shame?

I am not endorsing the D’s by putting up that video. Like I said, I’ll not vote for either, ever again.

You see, I haven’t forgotten the lies the D’s told us all to get control of Congress and the POTUS-ship. I haven’t forgotten all the outrage of the wars from “the left” which mysteriously disappeared after electing your favorite PARTY CLOWNs. I haven’t forgotten how angry you were with illegal wars, but how quickly you embraced them when the Savior was elected. I haven’t forgotten your idols that bitched and moaned about our military forays in the ME, just to have them rally for the sanity of MORE war and murder.

You see, we are too far gone. There really is nothing more that someone like me can do to spread any sanity… to try to educate you as to what the hell you are getting US in to.

But I do want to make a prediction. I will predict that by your playing their games by their rules, you will give the Republicans a massive victory next week. Enough to change the majority makeup of the House. Not by much, but enough. Enough for what, you ask?

Enough for them to claim they have a mandate from the people of America.

This mandate will entail savage austerity, according to Zerohedge:

And, it is coming soon to America.

In the US, the intensity of the Austerity-For-Workers program will depend partially on the size of Republican gains in the November 2 mid-term elections. More seats going Republican—particularly the loss of the House—means more momentum for attacking working families’ social safety net.

What does this mean to poor rednecks, like myself? It means that IF you think you will get any Unemployment benefit extensions, forget it. Those 99%ers you have read about are about to become 24%ers or a bit more. How about that pension you acquired via hard work? How would you feel if the Gubment took it and reallocated it in Gubment (worthless) Bonds and “promised” you that you will get your money, but on their timeline? What if this austerity includes remaking the Social Security System, radically cutting benefits that are already far underfunded for normal life in America? What if that Medicare that you count on to keep you alive is stripped down to nothing? What if this austerity causes even more job losses in America and that we will NEVER recover the ones already lost?

We are about to embark upon the hardest times of your life (unless you are the mega-wealthy). Our elected officials are about to strip us of social programs that we count on and we will be left to fend for ourselves or die.

Charlie McGrath has one of the best run-downs of what is about to happen that I have seen. Well worth the watch, if you haven’t seen it yet:

Simultaneously, we are about to see inflation jump like never before. It is already happening, as I write this, but the real storm is a month or so away. As one example, College Tuition is going up again. But everything else will, as well. Especially food.

From CNBC:

Food Prices Expected To Rise Sharply

Corn is up 45 percent the last three months. We haven’t seen cotton prices this high since after the Civil War. Soybeans are up. Oil is up. Metals are up. So are coffee and cocoa. In this era of massive liquidity, everything is up, except for food prices—specifically processed food (made from many of the same commodities and other ingredients whose prices have risen).

According to the USDA, that is going to change. In its most recent CPI report for food, the USDA reported that prices are expected to rise in 2011.

For all food, prices are expected to rise two to three percent, which is double the levels of 2010. Meat prices are expected to rise up to 3.5 percent, and dairy 5.5 percent.

And it is a global phenomena (h/t Guardian UK):

Global food crisis forecast as prices reach record highs

Another warning is that crime is on the rise in America and will continue to do so as people get hungry. The Economic Collapse Blog has a list of 12 Statistics That Make You Wonder What Is Happening In America

#1 The murder rate in New York City has increased more than 15 percent in 2010, and the number of rapes has shot up from 943 in 2009 to 1075 so far this year.

#2 In the city of Detroit, crime has gotten so bad and the citizens are so frustrated by the lack of police assistance that they have resorted to forming their own organizations to fight back.  One group, known as “Detroit 300″, was formed after a 90-year-old woman on Detroit’s northwest side was brutally raped in August.

#3 Crime in Miami Beach was up almost 11 percent during the first half of 2010.

#4 The murder rate in Tempe, Arizona is now the highest it has been in 10 years.

#5 Shoplifting is completely and totally out of control.  According to the National Association of Shoplifting Prevention, every single day Americans steal more than $35 million worth of goods from retail stores.

#6 Today, there are approximately 400,00 registered sex offenders in the United States.

#7 U.S. authorities claim that there are now over 1 million members of criminal gangs operating inside the United States. According to federal statistics, these 1 million gang members are responsible for up to 80% of the violent crimes committed in the U.S. each year.

#8 The median age of the victims of imprisoned sex offenders in the United States is 13 years old.

#9 The crime rate in the San Diego school system is escalating out of control. The following is what San Diego School Police Chief Don Braun recently told the press about the current situation….

“Violent crime in schools has risen 31 percent. Property crime has risen 12 percent. Weapons violations (have gone up) almost 8 percent.”

#1053 percent of all investigated burglaries in the states of California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens.

#11 Law enforcement officials estimate that about 600,000 Americans and 65,000 Canadians are trading dirty child pictures online.  They also say that the total profit from creating and trading these images is approximately two to three billion dollars every year.

#12 Each year, one out of every five people in the U.S. is victimized by crime.  No other nation on the planet has a rate that is higher.

I also read from my home town weekly paper that a very small town in my home county has a Chief of police who is apologizing to residents over the weekly road blocks that they set up in town every Sunday (now becoming renowned for it). As I read thru the list of “arrests” it couldn’t be more clear what they are going after… weed smokers. The vast majority of the arrests were drug related and the biggest proportion, by far, was for marijuana. The fine for less than 1 ounce (1st offense in MS) is about $1,000. After everything is said, done and paid for, it might cost a person $1800 to handle it in court. Fine and dandy, except for the fact that it costs the country $2800 per case.

Not only are these people arresting young folks (ruining their lives) over a weed, they are losing money EVERY time they do it. And the tax payer yawns and scratches his hinder parts and turns on American Idol while sipping his illegal beer in that dry county.

Of course, nothing new on all the break ins and thefts. But never mind that. We stopped those hippies from smoking a little weed.

WTF?

Look. I know I am experiencing my own hardships (no job, no prospect for a job), but I can’t bury my head. No matter how hard it gets, I believe I will be able to take care of my family utilizing my network I have been setting up for a couple of years (you know who you are). I am not totally prepared, but I have most of what we need to survive. So, I am not just some crazy person freaked out over my own circumstances. This shit is real, people. It is happening right before our eyes and we better be ready for it when it comes… for IT IS COMING.

Let me share with you this list of 30 Reasons Why People Should Be Getting Really Nervous About The State of The U.S. Economy (again from the Economic Collapse blog):

#1 Corporate insiders are selling off stock at a blinding pace and are looking for the exits.  Alan Newman, the editor of the Crosscurrents newsletter, examined a number of the top performing stocks in the market including Google, Apple and Target and found that the ratio of corporate insider stock sold to corporate insider stock purchased over the last six months for those companies was 3,177 to 1.  At the group of firms that Newman looked at, corporate insiders had purchased 38,000 shares of stock over the last six months and yet had sold off over 120 million shares.

#2 Analysts at both Bank of America and Goldman Sachs both believe that the U.S. Federal Reserve is going to initiate a new round of quantitative easing in November.  It does not take a genius to figure out that this is very likely to push up inflation and have very serious consequences for the U.S. dollar.

#3 Economists at Goldman Sachs are projecting that the Fed will have to purchase at least $4 trillion in assets during this next round of quantitative easing to get the U.S. economy moving in a positive direction once again.

#4 In the United States today, there are 5,057 janitors with Ph.D.’s, other doctorates, or professional degrees.

#5 Investors have very little faith in the U.S. dollar (and in paper currencies in general) at this point.  Precious metals are soaring to obscene heights.  The price of gold has increased more than 20 percent in 2010.  The price of silver has skyrocketed about 40 percent this year.  These are not signs that indicate that the U.S. financial system is stable.

#6 Robin Griffiths, a technical strategist at Cazenove Capital, told CNBC on Monday that the U.S. dollar is in danger of becoming “toxic waste”.

#7 In the United States today, 317,000 waiters and waitresses have college degrees.

#8 U.S. lending institutions repossessed an all-time record total of 102,134 homes in the month of September.  That was the first time that home repossessions in the U.S. had ever exceeded the 100,000 mark during a single month.

#9 According to a Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller home price report that was released on Tuesday, single family home prices in the United States declined  for a second straight month in August.

#10 In the United States today, over 18,000 parking lot attendants have college degrees.

#11 During the months of August and September, the state of Nevada had an unemployment rate of 14.4 percent, which was the highest in the history of the state.  Not that the rest of the country is doing any better.  The state of California has become a complete and total economic disaster zone, and the city of Detroit, Michigan is literally dying.

#12 The “official” unemployment rate in the United States has been at nine and a half percent or above for 14 consecutive months.

#13 The number of people unemployed in the state of California is approximately equivalent to the populations of Nevada, New Hampshire and Vermont combined.

#14 According to the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, there are approximately 3 million more vacant housing units than usual in the United States.

#15 China has reduced the export quota on rare earth elements for the second half of 2010 by 72%, thus strengthening their position in the world economy even more.  Rare earth elements are absolutely crucial to the manufacture of a vast array of high technology products, and now even more of them will have to be made in China.

#16 In 1985, the U.S. trade deficit with China was 6 million dollarsfor the entire year.  In the month of August alone, the U.S. trade deficit with China was over 28 billion dollars.

#17 Wheat, corn and other staples are absolutely soaring in price on world markets.  These higher food prices are going to hit U.S. consumers hard.

#18 In 2007, 3 U.S. banks failed.  In 2008, 25 U.S. banks failed.  In 2009, 140 U.S. banks failed.  Last Friday, it was announced that 139 U.S. banks have failed so far this year and it is not even the end of October yet.

#19 Total student loan debt in the United States is climbing at a rate of approximately $2,853.88 per second.

#20 Back in 1980, the United States imported approximately 37 percent of  the oil that we use.  Now we import nearly 60 percent of the oil that we use.

#21 According to an analysis by the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation, the health care reform legislation that Congress didn’t read but passed into law anyway will generate $409.2 billion in additional taxes on the American people by the year 2019.

#22 Median household income in the U.S. declined from $51,726 in 2008 to $50,221 in 2009.  That was the second yearly decline in a row.

#23 One out of every six Americans is now enrolled in a government anti-poverty program, and yet the number of Americans signing up for food stamps and other social programs just continues to set new all-time records month after month after month.

#24 The number of Americans working part-time jobs “for economic reasons” is now the highest it has been in at least five decades.

#25 American 15-year-olds do not even rank in the top half of all advanced nations when it comes to math or science literacy.

#26 According to a recent poll conducted by CNBC, 92 percent of Americans believe that the performance of the U.S. economy is either “fair” or “poor”.

#27 After analyzing Congressional Budget Office data, Boston University economics professor Laurence J. Kotlikoff came to the conclusion that the U.S. government is now facing a “fiscal gap” of $202 trillion dollars.

#28 A trillion $10 bills, if they were taped end to end, would wrap around the earth more than 380 times.  That amount of money would still not be enough to pay off the U.S. national debt.

#29 According to the U.S. Treasury Department, the U.S. national debt is rapidly closing in on 14 trillion dollars and and will climb to an estimated $19.6 trillion by 2015.

#30 At our current pace, the Congressional Budget Office is projecting that U.S. government public debt will hit 716 percent of GDP by the year 2080.

You want to know what doesn’t stop? Military Spending and the expansion of the Empire. We got all the money in the world for murder and mayhem.

Camp is empty   report and video link

I watched the report on this on BBC. This camp is empty because AGAIN the haitian Government is elitist and corrupt. The ‘weathly’ folks who used to live in fine Starter-Castles and McMansions said they wouldn’t live there. And AFTER the USA donated these tents, bathrooms, watering stations etc.. the Haitian government built this camp for the RICH folks who will not live there. They demand the government TEAR THEM DOWN and build them their big homes again on that level land!!! Meanwhile, starving poor folks who have nothing are across the road in a slum camp seeing this camp and are not allowed there. I tell you what, I think the poor folk need to revolt!! and march their starved asses over to the new camp… and squat. Ok I know, they would most likely be killed… but damn it this makes me so friggin mad. THIS IS EXACTLY wtf has been wrong in haiti all along. Its not that other countries haven’t helped… but their government keeps the donations and goods for the upper elite [as if they are really classey folk! ]… geeeece.

Mississippi: The Military Wants Your 3 and 4 Year Olds, But HealthCare May Kill Them First

Report: Pre-K needed to increase military recruits

By MARIA BURNHAM – Associated Press Writer

JACKSON, Miss. — National security is threatened by soaring obesity rates among young people, a lack of early education and by high juvenile crime rates, a group of retired officers says in a report. About 75 percent of Mississippians aged 17 to 24 are ineligible to serve in the military mainly because of these three factors, according to the report issued by Mission: Readiness, a nationwide nonprofit group of retired military leaders. That number matches the national percentage. If that trend continues, in 20 years the military will be significantly understaffed, said retired Army Brig. Gen. Augustus Collins of Madison. “We need to support long-term strategies to help our young people maintain healthy lifestyles and keep them on the right side of the law,” Collins said at a news conference at the state Capitol. The best way to do that in Mississippi is through increased early education, in particular state funded pre-kindergarten programs for 3- and 4-year-olds, the report says.

Lazy, fat asses better shape up so you can ship out. They NEED your kids to fill the ranks and you are letting them down. They have a long-range plan to coincide with their new hundred years wars and they need their next 15 year “crop” in decent shape for the grinder.

But let me ask you something. Wonder why your kid is so fat to begin with? Think it may have anything to do with the fact that it is cheaper to feed them a fast food hamburger than to buy, cook and serve a decent meal of fresh vegetables? That chips are cheaper than carrots?

MUST WATCH: Food Inc.- Hungry For Change?

From Information Clearinghouse: In Food, Inc., filmmaker Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nation’s food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government’s regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. Our nation’s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. We have bigger-breasted chickens, the perfect pork chop, herbicide-resistant soybean seeds, even tomatoes that won’t go bad, but we also have new strains of E. coli—the harmful bacteria that causes illness for an estimated 73,000 Americans annually. We are riddled with widespread obesity, particularly among children, and an epidemic level of diabetes among adults. Featuring interviews with such experts as Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), Michael Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma, In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto) along with forward thinking social entrepreneurs like Stonyfield’s Gary Hirshberg and Polyface Farms’ Joel Salatin, Food, Inc. reveals surprising—and often shocking truths—about what we eat, how it’s produced, who we have become as a nation and where we are going from here. http://www.foodincmovie.com/about-the-issues.php Posted February 09, 2010

That movie tells it all about Big Farming and how corporations rule everything in the process, especially the very food (plant or animal) that you put in your mouth. If you watch that film you will come away with the same disgust for fast food as I have developed in the last few months. Especially in regards to the change in my diet the last couple of weeks to this paleolithic diet. Food tastes so different. So much better. Just the elimination of added sugars (I haven’t eaten any processed foods… only stuff we meticulously prepare here) has made a major difference (not to mention the elimination of salt, which has actually enhanced my sense of taste). I feel so much better and now look forward to eating.

I prove it to myself and you can prove it to yourself, as well. But you will PAY for it. It costs us MUCH more to eat this way than to go to a fast food restaurant at every meal. By far. That movie will explain why that is.

I want to point out a couple of things that I didn’t know until recently. 1st, We are killing ourselves with cancer by the way Big Food adulterated their products (milk and meat). Did you know that US milk is banned from all of Europe? And most don’t want our meat either?

… About 20 percent of our milk is genetically engineered. Technically this is known as rBGH, the small r stands for recombinant, BGH, is bovine growth hormone… This [milk] contains very high levels of a natural growth factor known as IGF-1… IGF-1 stands for Insulin-like Growth Factor 1. So growth factor 1 is a natural growth factor and is responsible for normal growth but when you drink rBGH milk, you have very, very high levels of this natural growth factor. When you drink it, the IGF-1 survives digestion and is readily absorbed from your small intestine, into your blood. Increased levels of IGF-1 have been shown to increase risks of breast cancer and we have about 20 publications showing this; risk of colon cancer [shown] by about 10 publications; prostate cancer by about another 10 publications. And a further concern: increased levels of IGF-1 block natural defense mechanisms against early cancers, [mechanisms] known as ‘apoptosis.’” The scientific evidence of the dangers of rBGH milk is explained in great detail in Dr. Epstein’s book What’s in Your Milk?, published in 2006. “Based on the concerns which I have just briefly summarized, in 1999, the United Nations Food and Safety Agency, which represents a hundred nations worldwide, ruled unanimously not to set safety standards for rBGH milk, and effectively this has resulted in an international ban on U.S. milk. – Dr. Joseph Mercola

h/t World Prout Assembly

Secondly, Health Insurance Companies invest BIG BUCKS in fast food companies. Yep! They know where to put all that dough they take from you. They put it right back into some of the main reasons you are getting so fat, sick, diabetic and dead.

Health insurance companies invest billions in fast food chains – Mike Adams

(NaturalNews) – Did you ever wonder how health insurance companies drum up future business? It’s easy: Just invest in companies whose products cause chronic degenerative disease, driving people towards more health care needs and therefore more health insurance. And that’s exactly what the health insurance industry is doing.

A new article published in the American Journal of Public Health reveals that U.S. and Canadian health insurance giants own nearly $2 billion worth of stock in fast food giants like McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell and others. So profits made by health insurance companies are reinvested in industries that make people sick and diseased, bringing them back to buy more health insurance down the road.

It’s a pretty clever business model for an industry that seems focused on the almighty dollar and obviously has no concern whatsoever for the actual health status of its customers. If anything, these health insurance companies hope you get sicker!

The simple fact is that our entire health “care” system is totally built around treating illnesses… NOT preventing sickness. It is all PROFIT motive. Why do other countries that have far better health stats fare so much better than the USA (which spends more per capita than any other developed country for health care)? Because they provide and insist on preventative care. They know that if you eat healthy, you don’t need all the meds and procedures. It costs less.

We are a bunch of lazy fat asses (me included) on the most part. 1/2 of young people in Mississippi are obese and this is why the military is worried. One of their poorest, most dependent portions of society is getting too fat for their slaughter mill and they want to remedy that.

Personally I am torn. Altho I don’t want those kids to die for a very long time, it may be better to get fat as hell and have a heart attack than join them and die from a bullet to the head over their Empire.

Maybe that’s just me.

But the other side of the evil coin (pharmaceutical companies) has the answer for our fat assed woes… EVEN MORE MEDICINE:

If Main Stream medicine really works, Why Are Americans So Unhealthy?

Now, to hear mainstream medicine pushers say it, the only reason Americans are so sick and diseased right now is because — get this — not enough people are taking enough medications! Yes… if they could only convince more parents to drug more babies and toddlers; or if they could get more teens on four, five or six drugs at once; or if they could convince nursing homes to pop a dozen different meds into the mouths of senior citizens then we’d all be healthier!

America, you see, suffers from a medication deficiency. That’s the line of mainstream medicine: More meds = less disease. And now, they’re trying to convince everyone that even healthy people now need meds (statin drugs) even if they show no symptoms of disease.

So now — get this — being healthy is no longer enough to avoid medications! We’re ALL supposed to be medicated, whether we’re healthy or not. Mainstream medicine, you see, isn’t satisfied to just treat sick people with its medications, radiation machines and surgical procedures: It wants to put all the healthy people on pills, too.

And what will be the result of all this? Imagine in your own mind, for a moment: What will be the result if, say, Americans start taking twice as much medication as they do right now. Will Americans be healthier? Of course not. They will be more diseased. More medicated and chemically contaminated.

The fish downstream will be even more polluted with pharmaceutical runoff and the bio sludge human waste “compost” products now being put on farms will be even more heavily saturated with medication chemicals. Will that create health for America? Of course not.

Mainstream medicine does not work. And pushing mainstream medicine onto more people will only cause more sickness, more suffering and more bankruptcies across American households. It will, however, accomplish one very important thing: The obscene financial enrichment of a few powerful corporations like Pfizer, Merck, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca.

And that, my friends, is the entire point of mainstream medicine: To mainline the profits for Big Pharma, sideline the legitimate health problems of the American people, and streamline the criminal soaking of the rich, the poor and the recently-insured in order to turn sickness into profit.

That’s mainstream medicine for you. I’m sure glad I don’t use it.

Rise Up and Say “Baaaa”

Posted by BuelahMan on April 22, 2010

This dude reminds me of me:

Except that he knows what he is talking about.

So, when you consider and compare where our tax money goes, what is your priority? Is it education? Is it healthcare? Is it Empire continuation?

How about adding a VAT (Value added tax) to the mix? Obama is considering it (which means it WILL be implemented).

Look, whatever you do, please do not mention our military. No matter what happens to this country, let us NEVER question the mistake of Iraq or the wonderful intentions of our glorious leaders who thrive to keep this question (and many others) away from the discerning public.

You must understand just how important it is that you continue to convince yourself that America truly is the most exceptional country in the world. In this vein, it may be important that you read how we are The Number One Country in the World in many stats:

  • The United States is 49th in the world in literacy (the New York Times, Dec. 12, 2004).
  • The United States ranked 28th out of 40 countries in mathematical literacy (NYT, Dec. 12, 2004).
  • Twenty percent of Americans think the sun orbits the earth. Seventeen percent believe the earth revolves around the sun once a day (The Week, Jan. 7, 2005).
  • “The International Adult Literacy Survey…found that Americans with less than nine years of education ‘score worse than virtually all of the other countries’” (Jeremy Rifkin’s superbly documented book The European Dream: How Europe’s Vision of the Future Is Quietly Eclipsing the American Dream, p.78).
  • Our workers are so ignorant and lack so many basic skills that American businesses spend $30 billion a year on remedial training (NYT, Dec. 12, 2004). No wonder they relocate elsewhere!
  • “The European Union leads the U.S. in…the number of science and engineering graduates; public research and development (R&D) expenditures; and new capital raised” (The European Dream, p.70).
  • “Europe surpassed the United States in the mid-1990s as the largest producer of scientific literature” (The European Dream, p.70).
  • Nevertheless, Congress cut funds to the National Science Foundation. The agency will issue 1,000 fewer research grants this year (NYT, Dec. 21, 2004).
  • Foreign applications to U.S. grad schools declined 28 percent last year. Foreign student enrollment on all levels fell for the first time in three decades, but increased greatly in Europe and China. Last year Chinese grad-school graduates in the U.S. dropped 56 percent, Indians 51 percent, South Koreans 28 percent (NYT, Dec. 21, 2004). We’re not the place to be anymore.
  • The World Health Organization “ranked the countries of the world in terms of overall health performance, and the U.S. [was]…37th.” In the fairness of health care, we’re 54th. “The irony is that the United States spends more per capita for health care than any other nation in the world” (The European Dream, pp.79-80). Pay more, get lots, lots less.
  • “The U.S. and South Africa are the only two developed countries in the world that do not provide health care for all their citizens” (The European Dream, p.80). Excuse me, but since when is South Africa a “developed” country? Anyway, that’s the company we’re keeping.
  • Lack of health insurance coverage causes 18,000 unnecessary American deaths a year. (That’s six times the number of people killed on 9/11.) (NYT, Jan. 12, 2005.)
  • “U.S. childhood poverty now ranks 22nd, or second to last, among the developed nations. Only Mexico scores lower” (The European Dream, p.81). Been to Mexico lately? Does it look “developed” to you? Yet it’s the only “developed” country to score lower in childhood poverty.
  • Twelve million American families–more than 10 percent of all U.S. households–”continue to struggle, and not always successfully, to feed themselves.” Families that “had members who actually went hungry at some point last year” numbered 3.9 million (NYT, Nov. 22, 2004).
  • The United States is 41st in the world in infant mortality. Cuba scores higher (NYT, Jan. 12, 2005).
  • Women are 70 percent more likely to die in childbirth in America than in Europe (NYT, Jan. 12, 2005).
  • The leading cause of death of pregnant women in this country is murder (CNN, Dec. 14, 2004).
  • “Of the 20 most developed countries in the world, the U.S. was dead last in the growth rate of total compensation to its workforce in the 1980s…. In the 1990s, the U.S. average compensation growth rate grew only slightly, at an annual rate of about 0.1 percent” (The European Dream, p.39). Yet Americans work longer hours per year than any other industrialized country, and get less vacation time.
  • “Sixty-one of the 140 biggest companies on the Global Fortune 500 rankings are European, while only 50 are U.S. companies” (The European Dream, p.66). “In a recent survey of the world’s 50 best companies, conducted by Global Finance, all but one were European” (The European Dream, p.69).
  • “Fourteen of the 20 largest commercial banks in the world today are European…. In the chemical industry, the European company BASF is the world’s leader, and three of the top six players are European. In engineering and construction, three of the top five companies are European…. The two others are Japanese. Not a single American engineering and construction company is included among the world’s top nine competitors. In food and consumer products, Nestlé and Unilever, two European giants, rank first and second, respectively, in the world. In the food and drugstore retail trade, two European companies…are first and second, and European companies make up five of the top ten. Only four U.S. companies are on the list” (The European Dream, p.68).
  • The United States has lost 1.3 million jobs to China in the last decade (CNN, Jan. 12, 2005).
  • U.S. employers eliminated 1 million jobs in 2004 (The Week, Jan. 14, 2005).
  • Three million six hundred thousand Americans ran out of unemployment insurance last year; 1.8 million–one in five–unemployed workers are jobless for more than six months (NYT, Jan. 9, 2005).
  • Japan, China, Taiwan, and South Korea hold 40 percent of our government debt. (That’s why we talk nice to them.) “By helping keep mortgage rates from rising, China has come to play an enormous and little-noticed role in sustaining the American housing boom” (NYT, Dec. 4, 2004). Read that twice. We owe our housing boom to China, because they want us to keep buying all that stuff they manufacture.
  • Sometime in the next 10 years Brazil will probably pass the U.S. as the world’s largest agricultural producer. Brazil is now the world’s largest exporter of chickens, orange juice, sugar, coffee, and tobacco. Last year, Brazil passed the U.S. as the world’s largest beef producer. (Hear that, you poor deluded cowboys?) As a result, while we bear record trade deficits, Brazil boasts a $30 billion trade surplus (NYT, Dec. 12, 2004).
  • As of last June, the U.S. imported more food than it exported (NYT, Dec. 12, 2004).
  • Bush: 62,027,582 votes. Kerry: 59,026,003 votes. Number of eligible voters who didn’t show up: 79,279,000 (NYT, Dec. 26, 2004). That’s more than a third. Way more. If more than a third of Iraqis don’t show for their election, no country in the world will think that election legitimate.
  • One-third of all U.S. children are born out of wedlock. One-half of all U.S. children will live in a one-parent house (CNN, Dec. 10, 2004).
  • “Americans are now spending more money on gambling than on movies, videos, DVDs, music, and books combined” (The European Dream, p.28).
  • “Nearly one out of four Americans [believe] that using violence to get what they want is acceptable” (The European Dream, p.32).
  • Forty-three percent of Americans think torture is sometimes justified, according to a PEW Poll (Associated Press, Aug. 19, 2004).
  • “Nearly 900,000 children were abused or neglected in 2002, the last year for which such data are available” (USA Today, Dec. 21, 2004).
  • “The International Association of Chiefs of Police said that cuts by the [Bush] administration in federal aid to local police agencies have left the nation more vulnerable than ever” (USA Today, Nov. 17, 2004).

Whoa there, Partner. Sorry for such a rude awakening. Do you think I made some mistake here? Do you still want to scream at me how great this country is? How about mixing in some adoration and worship of your new Messiah, Barack Obama? Or that you now have your “party” in control, so you are still hoping that they will actually DO the things they said they would do to convince your gullible ass to vote for them?

Is your commitment and “investment” into these criminal parties keeping you from seeing what is as obvious as the ingrown hair on your ass cheek?

How To Stop Zionism?

Posted by BuelahMan on April 19, 2010

Let them consume (as they force onto their victims) the remnants from their illegal and horrific usage of American provided DU weaponry. If we start seeing quite a few two-headed Israeli babies, maybe (Just Maybe) the Israeli citizens will stop their evil and corrupt government from doing this to others. Somehow, I come to the conclusion that it simply would be used as rationale to do even MORE horrific things to the Palestinians.

Israel’s Declining Sperm Quality Tied to Depleted Uranium Exposure

Israel’s Declining Sperm Quality Tied to Depleted Uranium Exposure
Tim King | Salem-News.com

Israel’s population is facing a dire threat: a drastic depopulation, from the use of weapons that leave behind Depleted Uranium (DU). Depleted Uranium leads to the word Omnicidal, as DU kills everything in the food chain, everywhere the wind blows. Experts say the dramatic drop in Israel’s sperm count could eliminate their ability to reproduce.

Research by an Israeli doctor shows a significant drop in sperm count level and sperm motility among young Israeli soldiers in recent years. Sperm motility is the ability of sperm to move properly toward an egg.

It is attributed to the inhalation of DU aerosolized nano-particles; the dirty results of extra powerful weapons used by Israel and the U.S.

All of that military might as it turns out, could set the stage for a massive Israeli act of population suicide.

A study by Dr. Ronit Haimov-Kokhman released in November, showed a 40-percent decline in the concentration of sperm cells in Israeli sperm donors from 2004 to 2008, compared to samples taken between 1995 and 1999.

Sperm banks in Israel are now reportedly turning away as many as two-thirds of potential donors, due to the low-quality sperm. In the past, around one-third of the potential donors were turned away. Read more.

Why Is Our Country Run By A Bunch Of Zionists? And Why Don’t You Say Something?

Posted by BuelahMan on March 27, 2010

It is from the top down:

Israel came into being in 1948, thanks in part to Harry S Truman. Ike was okay with Israel. Kennedy was a supporter. Johnson let Israel bomb a destroyer of ours during the Six-Day War because they were eavesdropping on Israeli communications. So he is obviously a Zionist supporter, too. Nixon & Kissinger: Need more be said? Carter served Israel because it was The Holy Land, and matched up Begin and Sadat to start the “peace process” whatever that is (and has supposedly been going on for decades with no resolve). Reagan supported the Zionists. Bush 41 obliterated Iraq to protect Israel (also Saudi Arabia). Clinton did the Helskinki Accords.  W was also Israel’s BFF. Obama is apparently lining his cabinet with the most vicious Zionist asshole he could have found (Rahm Emanual) among all the other Zionist supporters he hangs with.

They let Israel’s leaders say and do anything while giving them $Billions every year. There is no accountability for war crimes and aggressions (why should they when we conduct a thousand times worse offenses). The Congress bows to Israel’s whim on a daily basis. As Helen Thomas points out on the Real News Network, when asked who the “they” is, she explains it clearly: The Zionists.

God forbid that a Jewish Rabbi discuss this issue in the open:

h/t AfterDowningStreet

And of course Zionists rule the media outlets in America, making us all stupid and leading us by the nose ring to acquiescence.

Stopping The Health Insurance Give-away Bill

Posted by BuelahMan on March 19, 2010

Dennis the Chamberlain, don't forget to grab the train of the King's robe

Should we trust Dennis ever again?

Nope. He sold his soul to the devil, himself.

As Kurt Nimmo writes at Infowars:

Meanwhile, Obama managed to arm-twist one-time totalitarian care opponent Dennis Kucinich into backing the plan Democrats say they will enact without votes in Congress. Obama had summoned Kucinich to Air Force One and Dennis kissed the ring. “Even though I don’t like the bill, I’ve made a decision to support it in the hope that we can move to a more comprehensive approach once this legislation is done,” he told reporters.

Apparently Kucinich no longer consider Obama’s totalitarian care plan a sham. In October, he said the entire legislative package was “a bailout for insurance companies.” The American people are “being mandated to buy private insurance. If you read the bill, the people are going to end up paying — the insurance companies can raise rates 25 percent right off the bat, if you read the bill,” said Kucinich.

Dennis Kucinich, one of a very small number of Democrats who originally opposed Obamacare, now apparently believes it is fine and dandy for the government to force the commoners to buy health care insurance at gunpoint. He also believes large insurance corporations deserve a monopoly in partnership with the government.

Should we ever trust Dennis Kucinich again? I think not.

Dennis tried to defend his indefensible traitor action (piece of shit, lying scumbag), presented at AfterDowningStreet

Single Payer advocates explain reality to the Corporate whores, Howard Dean and John Conyers. h/t SinglePayerAction

And we also get the benefit (read as “sham”) of having the senate protect the health insurance premium double digit increases.

There may be but one way to stop this horrendous bill: Wait until the individual states sue.

Raw Story explains that Virginia will sue

(not that you would think it is a good idea from the Dem party sycophants commenting there)

Or maybe Idaho (thanks to AfterDowningStreet) for the link:

Idaho on Wednesday became the first state to pass a law saying no thanks to part of President Obama’s health care proposal.

The Idaho Health Care Freedom Act says in part, “every person within the state of Idaho is and shall be free to choose or decline to choose any mode of securing health care services without penalty or threat of penalty.”

Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter, a Republican, said Wednesday he signed it because he believes any health care laws should ensure people are “treated as an individual, rather than as an amorphous mass whose only purpose in this world is to obey federal mandates.”

Several other states may follow suit.

And of course, the obvious next step in the plan is to abolish Medicare and Medicaid. Walgreens in Washington State will stop accepting medicare payments for meds (which will be the last day my family will ever shop in their stores in TN or anywhere else, for that matter)

Effective April 16, Walgreens drugstores across the state won’t take any new Medicaid patients, saying that filling their prescriptions is a money-losing proposition — the latest development in an ongoing dispute over Medicaid reimbursement.

The company, which operates 121 stores in the state, will continue filling Medicaid prescriptions for current patients.

In a news release, Walgreens said its decision to not take new Medicaid patients stemmed from a “continued reduction in reimbursement” under the state’s Medicaid program, which reimburses it at less than the break-even point for 95 percent of brand-name medications dispensed to Medicaid patents. (h/t PrisonPlanet)

If you want to see a non-corporately owned person explain the truth in opposition to the flip-flopping Kucinich at Democracy Now. Watch as Nader says the truth about the bill and how Dennis cannot explain himself without admitting he had to kowtow to corporate pressures.

Dennis, you know that Obama is not going to help real America. Ralph knows this and is unapologetic in explaining it.

The video at the Democracy Now link is one of the most important you can see that not only tears Dennis a new asshole, but explains exactly what is happening in this bill. Dennis, however, is owned and indebted to the Corporately owned Democratic party. And as far as I am concerned, he can have them and suck on them and do whatever it is he needs to do to kiss their ass. At least Ralph didn’t.

At the end, Dennis shows his true colors and that his dedication and motivation is to protect Obama and the Dem Party.

This, in and of itself, is enough to write him off as I have.

Tell Me He Was Wrong: I’ll Tell You We Missed Our Chance

Posted by BuelahMan on March 16, 2010

I put on my Dennis Kucinich for President T-Shirt this morning. I saw a video mix of all his answers in the few Dem POTUS debates at AfterDowningStreet (and again, this morning at AmericanEveryman) and as I watched and listened to him, I knew that America had made a humumngous mistake by not electing him (or Nader, after Dennis got out). As much as I respect Nader, Kucinich was my first choice.

Below is why.

Now, I am not interested in the strawmen you erect (just like I snarkily replied at American Everyman, saying, “But he is so short…”), but I am interested in why anyone would think this man is lesser than the fool you elected. Or any of the bunch.

Watch this video and tell me that America doesn’t need a man of this caliber. Just imagine how it would be to elect a president who was right in the first place and right every time. Explain to me one issue he was wrong on. Then compare to the Corporate wienie you elected.

You bunch of dumbasses:

.. when nobody is watching the hen house…

Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision.

The Massachusetts election Tuesday was the last one conducted under rules that had been in place for over a century to protect the right of the people to choose their government free from enormous expenditures of corporate wealth. Next time voters want to send us a message at the ballot box, they may find their voices drowned out by wealthy corporations with their own special-interest agendas.
This Supreme Court decision takes us back a century to a legal framework that fostered a golden era of corporate influence. While the core of the McCain-Feingold law, the ban on unlimited “soft money” contributions by corporations, unions and wealthy individuals directly to the political parties remains intact for now, the reasoning of this decision undermines the foundation of a host of laws enacted to strengthen our democracy and curb corruption in government. Indeed, the soft-money ban could very well be the next target of those who want to see our political system dominated by corporate influence.
This decision gives a green light to corporations to unleash their massive coffers on the political system. The profits of Fortune 500 companies in 2008 alone were 350 times the entire amount spent on the last presidential election.

Oil companies, with virtually no harm to their balance sheets, can now try to “take out” members of Congress who don’t toe their company line on energy policy. Foreign-owned companies–even those owned and controlled by other governments are free to underwrite the candidates of their choice.
Because of the scope of the Citizens United decision, it will take close examination to see what can be done to restore the voice of the average citizen in elections. We must not stand by as corporations threaten to dominate our democratic process. If the race in Massachusetts showed us anything, it’s the power of voters. In our democracy, that power not the power of corporate wealth should decide our elections.

B’Man’s Hypocrite Watch: Post Christmas Edition

Posted by BuelahMan on December 26, 2009

I love Christmas. It is one day that I promise to put away all anger (best I can). I don’t do it for any religious reasons, but because I always believed those words that say, “Peace on Earth and Good Will Towards Man” (Luke 2:14). Yep. I took it from a Bible, but it is the sentiment that means something to me. The spirit of peace, based from love, is an important ingredient missing nowadays that my friend Kelso keeps insisting that Americans seem to have lost for each other. The loss of love causes loss of peace, for I cannot see how it is conceivably possible to love and war your enemy simultaneously. It is impossible to show “good will” towards someone you are warring against.

So, I kept my mouth shut yesterday.

Today is different. Today I want to point out some hypocrisy that should inflame your redneck hide because it simply proves that those whom many of you think are Patriots and respect as Mavericks and the new “Conservatives” are nothing but what they “say” they despise… Welfare Queens and Kings (by way of the Young Turks):

Disgusting, but not surprising.

And before you get all mad at me, Mr Southern Republican, I don’t care a rat’s ass for the other “side” you want to paint me as. You see, there are plenty of rocks to throw at the “other side”. Basically, you have the leader of our country caught, red-handed, in a blatant lie of expediency (which is his modus operandi) regarding healthcare and his desires (by way of AfterDowningStreet):

This is true of many of the “centrist” (gag) Democrats who have bought Medicare/Medicaid improvements for their states and other forms of pork:

This vote was also a political win. It was a big deal for politicians–like Barack Obama, Max Baucus, Rahm Emanuel, and Harry Reid–who cared more about putting up a “W” on the scoreboard than about the policy. It was also a big day for senators like Blanche Lincoln, Mary Landrieu, Ben Nelson, and Joe Lieberman. The incredibly broken rules of the Senate gave them an absurd amount of anti-constitutional power that allowed them to hold reform hostage for pork and industry favors.

It was loss for the country. Our broken health care system will remain broken and costs will continue to rise at an alarming rate. Things like drug re-importation and a robust public option, which would have helped bring down prices for millions of Americans, were stripped from the bill at the request of powerful industry lobbyists.

All-the-while these “moderate” congresspeople are insisting that coverage for all Americans (as in a Single Payer System) is un-American or Socialist or whatever boogey man scare tactic they can dream up. But, as I always point out here, follow my advice and follow the money to see how the Quid Pro Quo works (all from the current year contributionsbribes):

Sen Mary Landrieu

Sen Blanche Lincoln

Sen Ben Nelson

Joe LIEberman

The last numbers for Barack Obama are from 2008. You can see them here, if interested. It is overwhelming and simply shows that every one of these people are owned by the very industries that give the most and vote/manipulate the system to the dictate of their coffers.

In a poignant display of Christmas “peace” hypocrisy, understand that Karl Rove was born on Christmas Day, 1950. This fact, in and of itself, is reason enough to change the Holiday date.
