Do you trust George W Bush? Does he hold any credibility with you, in any form or fashion? Do you believe the rationale for the Afghan and Iraqi “wars”? Do you think that W is noble and a God-fearing man? Do you believe that the leadership in this country cares more about you or their corporate funders? Are you a service member (or ex-service member) who refuses to believe that an American POTUS and Commander in Chief of the Armed Services could lie or actually do something contrary to his oath and the Constitution?
Are you the kind of person who believes that patriotism is kin to believing everything these obvious lying bastards tell you?
If you answered yes to any of those, you are in a very slim and ignorant minority.
It is time to wake up. We are on the edge of a precipice and we need you to wake up before you drag the rest of us off the cliff of doom.
We can stop this. If we get together.
I am convinced that this entire fiasco is planned. That the “wars” in the ME are intentional for many reasons that I have listed in the past (control, oil, imperialism). But, after understanding the blatant facts about the Iraq war and the lead up to it, I cannot help but agree that this was also intentionally used to bring America’s financial system to its knees, so we can usher in the New World Order.
You can consider me a CONspiracy theorist, if you like, but it sure as hell seems as obvious as the nose on my face that these leaders in the Bush cabal are nefarious and simply put, evil.
I have begged anyone to list a single thing that they have done to benefit Americans and the only semi-answer I have ever received is “we haven’t been attacked again”.
Forget the fact that the Bush lies have caused far more deaths in Iraq than the attacks caused. That their lies about air quality to the 9/11 rescuers have caused far more sickness and likely death (asbestos cancers, lung problems, etc) than the attackes themselves created. That those very attacks are what led to stripping away right after right and given evil bastards more and more power to infringe upon you, rednecks.
Naw. Nevermind all that shit. Economists know this:
Joseph Stiglitz won the Noble Prize and he was president of the World Bank.
He has two simple messages:
1. The Iraq War will cost the US $3 TRILLION (minimum)
2. The war is one of the chief causes behind the destruction of the US (and the world’s) banking system.
This interview was recorded back in April, long before the seriousness of the banking problems were apparent and long before the multi-trillion dollar bailouts.
The situation is dire, but truly easily corrected. Hell, the Military Industrial Complex wastes more money every year than was thrown away in the latest bullshit “bailout”. We feed a monster that is unnecessary.
See this graphic that I posted last November to see a comparison of what we spend on essential energy R&D investments compared to the military spending in Iraq and tell me there isn’t money to fix this shit. (Hint: they don’t want to fix this shit)
I received this from BrassCheckTV this morning and it is very telling. The two Prime Ministers (Stephen Harper and John Howard) from two of our closest allies, Canada and Australia, going into the war in Iraq read speeches that are virtually word-for-word, the same.
The question remians, “who wrote that speech?”
Now, do you think there could have been some sort of conspiracy between these countries or did the Canadian Minister simply plagiarize the Autralian Minister’s speech. Perhaps the Canadian speech writer has a night job?
And its biggest clown, W. The entire cabal, lead by W has ravaged America and our greatest sons and daughters who give their lives and body parts to fight a bullshit illegal activity (I will not call it a war any more).
If you are a US serviceman or woman and you fail to come back in one piece, you’re pretty much on your own.
If you do receive medical services, you’ll have to fight for every penny and what you’ll get will be substandard at best.
Recently, the military has been sending bills to wounded soldiers.
Why?
Because of their injuries they failed to complete their tours of duty for which they received sign up bonuses. The government wants them to pay back the bonuses for the time they’re not available for service.
It pays to read the fine print when dealing with the government.
It pays even better not to deal with the government at all unless you have a floor or two full of attorneys to deal with them…which is why the Fortune 500 et. al. have in essence taken over the country.
Facts: Scientific and historical about gasoline and alcohol
1. The original automobiles ran on alcohol because when they were invented gasoline was not available.
2. Rockefeller spent $4 million (that we know of) to promote Prohibition, a ban on alcohol manufacturing in the US that started in 1919 just as the car industry was taking off.
3. When Prohibition was lifted in 1933, gasoline stations were ubiquitous and most engines ran on gasoline only.
4. Alcohol can be manufactured locally and on a community level from renewable plant material for $1 per gallon.
5. The growing of plant material for alcohol would have no effect on the price of food.
6. The growing of plants for fuel would more than neutralize the carbon created by burning alcohol for fuel.
7. In Brazil, over 50% of new cars sold can already run on 100% alcohol.
8. Producing alcohol from plant material is incredibly energy efficient.
9. The oil companies aggressively promote garbage science to deceive the public into believing that alcohol fuels: a) will cause starvation, b) are uneconomical, and c) are net polluters.
10. Gasoline is a high toxic material.
11. It is entirely unneeded to fuel our cars.
12. Oil companies like Chevron have pressured PBS, commercial TV networks and other news media to keep this basic information from the public for decades - and the censorship continues to this day.
All that our money buys us is time, rednecks. The Treasury Secretary is shilling for his old company. The President has nefarious rationale that mimics his Dad’s New World Order dream. The Big Two presidential candidates are both in the pocket of Big Money and dare not take the populous view which is around 65% AGAINST any Wall Street Bail-Out (no matter how hard their media outlets try to convince us otherwise).
It is no secret that Lehman Brothers was a competitor to Goldman Sachs (Paulson’s old company). It is no secret that AIG was in total debt to Goldman Sachs and if Paulson had NOT bailed AIG out, his old company would have failed, too. It is no secret that there is no real teeth to the issues of accountability and that Paulson threatened a veto of any bill that holds these corrupt thieves accountable or offer any real oversight.
It is no secret that the only real proponents for this America Screwing is the MSM (I must give Scarborough a tip-o-the-hat this morning) and a few fringe economists and Wall Street types. But the vast majority of economists, many being major award winners (including several Nobel Prize awardees) and highly respected in the world for their knowledge, have come against this bailout calling it a crime and an effort to devalue the Dollar to nothing.
From BrassCheckTV we have a video that explains the devaluing of the dollar to the point of total collapse.
The question, to me, becomes, ‘what motivation is there to continue to devalue the Dollar?’
It will become evident in a few weeks, but as I have listed before, one theory suggests that the goal is to take America down and re-establish the North American Union and replace the dollar with the Amero. There are already reports that Sec of treasury Paulson has already sent Ameros to China. True or not, who knows?
But in my mind, I do not trust the very ones who have gotten us into this mess to get us out. By most every indication, we are being ripped off, and are being lied to about what the truth is.
My analogy still holds, if one consistently sees a person going in and out of a neighbor’s house (taking shit out and away), would you hire that person as a security guard for your shit?
The bottom line is this: a bogusly inflated dollar and home prices MUST come down eventually. If we continue to prop it up, not only are we setting ourselves to sink the dollar, but we are setting ourselves up for a major dictatorial re-alignment that caters to Big Money even more than we do today (and that is saying a mouthful) and a Depression of immense proportions.
I am re-writing the same Senators I wrote and called yesterday and explain that I will now do anything and everything humanly possible to vote their sorry, thieving asses out.
Alexander and Corker ARE ON NOTICE. You thieving complicit bastards have fucked up. You do not deserve to represent anyone except Thieves and I promise that I will dedicate much of my time and energy to expressing your foolish crony protection to the rest of the Tennesseans who have been brainwashed into believing your lies and enabling of America’s downfall.
Have you heard the right-wing fall all over themselves trying to explain how capable and ‘ready’ Sarah Palin is to take over as president, should McCain not make it? Have you spoken with one of those numb-skulls who argue that she is qualified because ’she is a mother’ (John McCain said this)? Or because her home state is close to Russia (of course this logic means that all Floridians are Cuban experts).
Have you encountered the ones that say, well John is running for president, not Sarah? It isn’t that important a job to be concerned with.
I have personally heard all sorts of excuses and rationale about Sarah and I just don’t get it. She is obviously not qualified. Any sane person should know this, just by hearing her speak (I simply do not see the attraction or evidence that would cause me to label her leadership material). She is physically attractive, but apparently a bitch to the core. Beauty is much deeper than skin deep, imo.
So, I wouldn’t fuck her with your dick (as my buddy Ear used to say).
So here is the dilemma. McCain will likely die or be incapacitated during the next 4 years. Electing a McCain/Palin ticket is a virtual guarantee of electing Sarah Palin as president, because McCain is ready for ANOTHER recurrence of his melanoma.
Watch this video from BrassCheckTV where doctors evaluate and explain the chances that a cancer could reappear and the prognosis for such a recurrence:
BrassCheckTV goes a bit further with a video of Greg Palast that shows how this election is already rigged for the republican win and how they will manipulate and cage the election results to insure a McCain victory (I recommend everyone read ‘Armed Madhouse’… excellent book).
If you want to hear Greg explain how McCain has won this already, making sure that Palin will be the president if and when his cancer returns, watch this video:
Could the election fix be in? Of course it could. Just judging the idiots who are brainwashed into believing that the McCain/Palin ticket is qualified shows me they stand a chance just due to the American public’s idiocy and easily swayed attention span by pretty, shiny objects.
I do not doubt it, but have hopes that Americans can come out of their stupor.
If McCain wins this it sure won’t be Nader’s fault, but will be the fault of the American electorate that is apparently the stupidest group of people on planet earth.
*** A short explanation of how we got to where we are
Today’s banking crisis is the THIRD trillion dollar plus US-caused financial meltdown in the last twenty years.
Each one of these crises came into being through the same basic mechanism…the fraudulent over-valuing of financial assets by Wall Street - with a “wink and a nod” (and sometimes a lot more) from the White House and Congress.
The fraudulently valued assets stimulate the economy, impart the illusion of health and then, inevitably, the fraud goes too far and the whole house of card comes painfully crashing back to earth.
The three trillion dollar plus frauds were:
Fraud #1: The so-called “Savings and Loan Crisis” of the late 80s
Fraud #2: The so-called “Tech Bubble” of the late 90s
Fraud #3: The so-called “Credit Crisis” of today
*** How the scam works
The mechanism of these frauds is simplicity itself…
…Take a shaky financial asset and blow up its value and then sell as much of it as you can.
In the “Savings and Loan Crisis,” the instrument was junk bonds.
In the “Tech Bubble” it was Internet stocks.
In the “Credit Crisis” it was individual mortgages collected into pools and then re-sold to investors.
In each case, normal, well established “bread and butter” financial principles were consciously thrown away by Wall Street with no hint of protest from federal regulators.
***The “Savings and Loan Crisis” dissected
Junk bonds caused the Saving and Loan crisis which resulted in the US taking over the assets of hundreds of
banks and selling them back over time to the marketplace at fire sale prices.
Junk bonds, which caused the “Savings and Loan Crisis” were shaky bonds that were pumped up by deliberate misrepresentation and what I call “staged dealing.”
Bonds get their value from two things: the amount of interest they pay and how safe they are.
“Junk” bonds have to pay higher interest because they are less safe. Therefore, until the “Savings and Loan Crisis,” savings and loan banks banks were not allowed by law to buy them and call them assets.
Reagan/Bush changed all this and then a group of Wall Street fraudsters used the new loophole to kick off an orgy of junk bond creation and junk bond selling to banks and insurance companies.
The crooks would deal the junk bonds back and forth amongst themselves thereby establishing their “value”
and then they’d sell them to outsiders. The bonds then became “assets” which could be borrowed against and leveraged to buy even more bonds.
When the bonds failed, the banks failed and in stepped the US government to “fix” the problem that it created at the cost of at least one trillion dollars to US tax payers.
Deja vu, eh?
***The “Tech Bubble” dissected
The instrument of fraud in the “Tech Bubble” was Internet stocks, start ups in particular.
A stock gets its value from the underlying company’s sales, its growth and its overall prospects for the future.
Pre-tech bubble, companies used to have to prove themselves by being in existence for several years before they could be sold on major exchanges. That standard was thrown away during the tech bubble.
To pump of their values, the companies engaged in “staged dealing” just like the junk bond crooks.
Company #1 would “sell” 20 million dollars in banner ads to Company #2 which would in turn “sell” 20 million in banner ads to Company #1.
In fact, nobody sold anybody anything. Company #2 ran ads for Company #1 and billed it for them. Company #1 ran ads for Company #2 and billed for an equal amount.
These should have been called media trades not sales, but Wall Street was happy to claim them as legitimate cash sales and then use the sales numbers to fraudulently value these companies - many of them totally worthless - in the hundreds of millions and sometimes even the billions.
***The “Credit Crisis” dissected
By now, you see how the scheme works.
It’s not complicated at all.
You take near worthless pieces of paper (junk bonds, stock of start up Internet companies, etc.) and declare them to be good as gold.
Then you create as many junk bonds and Internet start up stocks as you get and sell them as fast as you can.
In the case of our current crisis, the instrument of fraud was so-called sub-prime mortgages.
Previously, sub-prime mortgages had very little trading value. Only people in the sub-prime industry itself dealt in them and for good reason. They’re tricky to value and packed with financial peril.
But Wall Street changed all that.
Wall Street said: “If we take LOTS of these mortgages and assemble them into large pools and then slice and dice the pools in various ways, we can sell the slices to banks and other investors as AAA paper.”
It sounds crazy, doesn’t it?
If the underlying pieces of paper are garbage, how does assembling a whole bunch of garbage into one place make it “better?”
It doesn’t, of course, and this is a principle even a three year old child can understand.
But greed and the need to pump up a shaky economy for propaganda purposes are two very strong motivators.
Banks created these mortgage pools, sold them to each other, and they by virtue of these “staged sales” declared them valuable.
Do you recognize the pattern now?
If you do, then you are now smarter than all the assembled j@ck@sses who do financial reporting because they apparently can’t - or won’t.
This is the THIRD trillion-dollar plus fraud driven financial meltdown in twenty years and apparently no one in the financial news media can see how it happened.
***But there’s more…
Junk bonds were mass manufactured as fast as the crooks could invent them. Ditto for Internet stocks.
But how did hundreds of billions of dollars worth of “toxic” mortgages suddenly come into being?
Why did the mortgage industry change its lending standards so radically and so suddenly to make their creation possible?
And why did real estate lending regulators in all 50 states - because real estate lending is a STATE-level issue not a federal - go along with it?
Here’s where it gets very interesting…
The fact is state-level lending regulators were VERY concerned about what was going on. They have been for years.
And they not only expressed their concern clearly, they also took SERIOUS concerted legal action to stop lenders from making bad real estate loans to their citizens.
(Most of the sub-prime loans in the news so much today were designed to screw the people who borrowed the money and can rightly be called “predatory” loans.)
Guess who stopped the states from enforcing their own time-proven real estate lending laws and thus created the raw material that made the current “Credit Crisis” possible?
*** The trillion dollar plus question
If you’re a US taxpayer, you’re going to pay for this fraud so you might as well know who did it to you.
His initials are GB.
You know him well.
But perhaps more interesting is the name of the person who single-handedly rallied first state attorneys general and then fellow governors to fight the creation of these loans and who in the process became Public Enemy #1 to the Bush Administration…
His initials are ES.
If you follow “silly” US political scandals, you’ll recognize his name instantly when you hear it.
And you will *finally* understand why he was quickly and permanently assassinated politically earlier this year.
Had ES been allowed to “live,” he would have been in position to remind everyone every day of who made the current meltdown possible.
Instead, he was silenced very effectively. Not with a bullet in the back of the head, but the net effect was just the same.
So effective was his assassination that no one can even mention his name in connection with today’s crisis without risking ridicule, or worse.
Last note:
The crisis this fraud has created is *exponentially* bigger than the S & L and Tech Bubble combined.
It’s not going to be resolved by a quick “patch up” and will likely have the same impact on the current generation that the depression of the 1930s had on its parents, grandparents and great grandparents.
On that cheerful note, here’s the big story everyone missed this year and now you’ll finally know what REALLY happened and why:
A trio of news veterans will moderate this fall’s presidential debates, but who and what do they represent?
Aug. 19, 2008–In case you missed it, earlier this month, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced their picks to moderate the three presidential debates this fall. The chosen: NBC’s Tom Brokaw, CBS’s Bob Schieffer and PBS’s Jim Lehrer. So, in an election year in which race, gender and generational change have dominated politics and public discourse, the commission decided that these three white men, aged 68, 71 and 74, respectively, are our nation’s best choices to question the candidates and represent voter consciousness about the issues? When one—and only one—of the candidates is also a 70-plus-year-old white man? Don’t get it twisted; this is not about hating the players, just the game. The chosen ones are all esteemed journalists and have not only paid their dues but supported a number of younger reporters in their own careers, myself included. No, my criticism is aimed at the tired institutional thinking that automatically defaults to older white men to bring gravitas and credibility to important national events and assumes—wrongly—that the men are somehow free of a perspective shaped by their own life circumstances and life stories. Think about it. What if the commission, a non-partisan, non-profit group that has sponsored all presidential and vice presidential debates since 1988, had picked three 40-something African Americans to moderate all three debates? No matter how much experience and name recognition those journalists brought with them, people would question whether, as a group, they represent the full range of views and perspectives in the American electorate, and indeed whether such a lineup was fair to both candidates. At a press conference announcing the decision, the commission’s executive director, Janet Brown, said the moderators were chosen because they are “very serious.” “I don’t want to know how many decades collectively they represent in the news business,” she said. Well, if seriousness and experience are most important, in what universe does PBS’s Gwen Ifill not qualify? The commission has tapped her for a second time to moderate the vice presidential debate. How, then, can she not have the experience to moderate one of three presidential matchups? And if my perception is clouded by my longtime friendship with Ifill, then how about 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl, who knows what it’s like to break into the boy’s club as much as Hillary Clinton did? What about Katie Couric, one of the best interviewers in the business? What about the award-winning CBS journalist Byron Pitts? What about CNN’s Soledad O’Brien, whose reporting and interviewing chops have been tested in every format from live morning television to long-form documentary? What about Ruben Navarette, an award-winning syndicated columnist whose politics defy categorization? What about Ray Suarez of PBS, whose easy facility with issues from urban planning to international affairs have made him a sought after moderator across the country? What about Univision’s Jorge Ramos, who was one of the youngest major network anchors, and thus, now one of the most experienced? What about Anderson Cooper, a rising star at CNN who would bring extensive international experience along with a generational point of view more in line with a growing and intensely engaged portion of the electorate? The first debate, to be held Sept. 26 at the University of Mississippi and to be moderated by Lehrer, will focus on domestic policy. Brokaw will host the second on Oct. 7, a town-hall-style matchup with audience and Internet questions at Belmont University in Tennessee. The third, to focus on foreign policy, will be moderated by Schieffer at Hofstra University in New York. The commissioners want to make these debates about the “issues.” But deciding exactly what is an issue and what priority to assign them is itself a matter of opinion, perception and experience. Earlier this year when Obama brushed his shoulders off in response to a political attack, few people under 50, certainly not most blacks, viewed it as a sexist gesture; most viewed it as a hip-hop reference to “brushing off the haters.” But 73-year-old Geraldine Ferraro didn’t see it that way and complained about it for weeks. When Sen. Clinton made her remarks, early in the primaries, about how MLK and the civil rights leaders needed politicians like LBJ to actually get the legislation in place, the campaigns argued for weeks (and in some ways are still arguing) about who was playing the race card and who was playing it straight. Who gets to decide what issues are important? Surprisingly, the commission itself is somewhat diverse. The panel includes the former president of Howard University, H. Patrick Swygert, and the lawyer and activist Antonia Hernandez. Former Clinton administration press secretary Mike McCurry, a baby boomer, is among them. Did this group consciously decide to ignore or dismiss people of color and women because of their race, gender or age. Unlikely. Did they assume a non-white, under-60 journalist would be so dazzled by Obama or so freaked out by the national spotlight that they couldn’t think straight and play fair? Hard to imagine. What the commission did do, it seems, is default to thinking of older white men as institutional standard-bearers that automatically convey universality, objectivity and credibility. But older white men are people, too, and just like younger people, women and non-whites, they come with worldviews, prejudices, perspectives and life stories that inform their understanding of issues. Wouldn’t everyone have been better served if the three debates were led by a combination of moderators that better reflected the diverse life experience of the candidates, as well as the potent richness of the electorate? TV Week’s Michele Greppi asked commission co-chairman Frank Fahrenkopf what kind of feedback he was getting about the quartet of moderators, and he said …”Absolutely nothing but positive remarks . . . from the general political realm.” The general political realm? Who would that be, Frank? I think we know.
Michel Martin is host of NPR’s
Tell Me More. She adapted this article from her weekly commentary on her program called, “Can I Just Tell You?”
BrassCheckTV has another great video addressing the so-called “War on Drugs”:
Grown worldwide for millenia as a source of food, medicine, fiber and paper, hemp was banned for the first time in human history in 1938 by the United States.
The original impetus for outlawing the hemp plant came from the DuPont and Mellon families with an important assist from William Randolf Hearst.
Hearst owned timber rights for millions of acres of forest land, the raw material for newsprint. DuPont had patents for numerous synthetic products that hemp is competitive with.
Harry Anslinger, the virulent racist who headed the Bureau of Narcotics and spear-headed the campaign against “demon marijuana” was married to the niece of Richard Mellon of the Mellon banking family.
For those who believe that the world is run by and for the benefit of a few interlocking families, this episode provides evidence for that position.
Enforcing marijuana laws and jailing offenders is a multi-billion dollar a year business that employs tens of thousands of people.
Let me slap you with a giant iron skillet: Families are going broke due to healthcare payments.
Compare to Canadians, Europians, Japanese and you see that they live longer, better lives and don’t go broke for doing it.
You can bitch about healthcare in other coun tries, but the data is blatantly clear (and proves the government and reTHUGlican wind-bag machine is lying to you)… we have pitiful healthcare that causes many to go broke. I am living the nightmare right now. Via surgeries on my back and my daughter’s surgeries, we have accumulated about $50K in debt and I pay $20K out of pocket per year on top of that.
Would it be worse without the insurance? Yeah.
But the point is that all the other industrialized countries don’t have this issue. Those people don’t end up broke feeding the fat cat health insurance CEO’s salaries. But I do.
What good is healthcare in the USA if you can’t afford it? What good is it if they can cancel on you at any time leaving you to file bankruptcy? In the study evaluated here, 75% of the of the bankruptcies came due to medical conditions AND to those who were covered.
Did you understand that? They had insurance, but it was denied or whatever. Then the people who had been paying for insurance had to go broke.
You are not protected. It is time we demand more.
“Anyone shy of a multi-millionaire, is JUST NOT SAFE.”
More than half of bankruptcies in America are the result of medical bills.
A full 75% of those had health insurance!
In Canada, the UK, Japan and Western Europe, an outcome like this is impossible.
Americans are told they have the best health care system in the world and if they pay thousands of dollars a year for health insurance they’ll be protected.
I ran across this first young man while researching the ‘winter soldier’ topic. I admit that it made my heart flash-back to those I love that were ‘Winters from Nam’. Hence, I wanted to share these. They are important. Important in the aspect that while finding them and watching them, I also read many of the posted comments about them. The most upsetting ones were obviously from very young people. They were ignorant… and scary because of the ignorance. They called these ‘heros’ liers and chickens… etc. How sad, how terribly sad. Why– because these soldiers went– they went to serve!! they are brave, they are patriots… no matter the bottom-line reason for them enlisting… they went. BUT then, to experience death and actions taken against their internal moral code… to be done for a lie… for greed, for all the wrong reasons to have them deployed– this, yes this is what they are against. Not the ‘defending the country’ part-This first ‘hero’… spelled it out right from his heart. And to me he is the ‘common factor’ in the representation of the average U.S. Soldier.
Darrell Anderson was deployed to Iraq with the Army’s 1st Armoured Division in the spring of 2004. Darrell served most of his time in Baghdad where he was wounded by a roadside bomb after serving for 7 months. Facing the possibility of a second deployment to Iraq, Darrells conscience kept him from returning to the military. After witnessing the abuse and killing of Iraqi civilians and being ordered to fire on an automobile containing Iraqi civilians, Anderson concluded that the war is wrong.
August 11, 2006 Iraq Veterans Against the War Press Conference at the Arlington Northwest Memorial. Seattle, Washington www.ivaw.net Sgt. Ricky Clousing U.S. Army interrogator. A wave of soldiers are refusing to participate in the U.S. war against Iraq.
GI resisters are getting considerable support from other soldiers and veterans.
Following the press conference, a group of Iraq Veterans Against the War, along with former GI resisters and other supporters went with Ricky Clousing to Fort Lewis, where Ricky surrendered himself to military custody.
The above video link is from Cspan and covers 3 hours
My observation while watching this. These soldiers went into a venue that was offered. They arrived prepared and well spoken. Their hearts seemed heavy… heavy from their war experience, heavy from beating their heads against walls… and heavy from maybe thinking this too is a BS meeting– .The Chair of this meeting made me a bit ill in the beginning with her ass-kissing to fellow members etc… and then at the end… she seemed to have an already prepared speech!! And when she stated that ’ those sitting behind you have your backs”… I wanted to throw up!! All of these soldiers are heros to me. ALL of them!
According to Fortune Magazine, Wal-Mart is now the world’s biggest private employer dwarfing other US mega-employers like the US Postal Service, McDonald’s, and IBM.
Although it’s practically a state secret within the much-propagandized US, Wal-Mart is known worldwide for its
brutal labor practices.
Not bad if your frame of reference is digging coal in a Chinese coal mine, but certainly not what one would expect from a successful First World company.
Wal-Mart’s treatment of its employees is so egregious that many countries, including China, would not let Wal-Mart do business within their borders unless company permitted its in-country labor force to be unionized.
Slaves on the Chinese side making the stuff and slaves on the US side stocking the shelves and running the cash registers. The perfect New World Order enterprise.
It’s reported that when Sam Walton founder of the company died, his good friend, George H.W. Bush, the president’s father, openly wept. I believe it.
