Anti-Gay Alabama A.G. Caught Being Gay

This may come as a shock, but a prominent anti-homosexual Republican attorney general has apparently been caught having homosexual sex intercourse with his homosexual gay male assistant. Bonus: The dude’s wife caught him, in their bed. This is the rumor that the AG’s office has officially denied, so now of course everybody is spilling the sordid details.

AG in question is Troy King, who, of course, is only interested in outlawing homosexuality and sex toys. His gay lover is either a college “buddy,” or a very young youngster and “Homecoming King” from Troy University. What are the odds of a dude named Troy King getting caught in bed with a Homecoming King from Troy University? This seems like a wacky sitcom plot, on a gay porn channel. (Is this what that Will & Grace was about?)

Will The Real Mrs McCain Please Stand Up

Steve does it again at C&L. I have felt exactly the same way… as vicious as the right wing slime machine is attacking those who aren’t faithful in their marriage (think Bill Clinton), isn’t the hypocrisy quite sickening when you consider what The Maverick did to wife number 1?

I didn’t want to use the same pic of Cindy that C&L used, because I wanted one of her getting out of a car.

Can’t find one. The only vehicle I can find her going in or out of is a plane. Considering that fact, it only makes perfect sense, doesn’t it? I wonder if she even drives herself anywhere?

Steve tells us a piece of the story, proving, again, that McCain has flip-flopped his entire life:

[H]ad events turned out differently, it would be she, rather than Cindy, who would be vying to be First Lady. She is McCain’s first wife, Carol, who was a famous beauty and a successful swimwear model when they married in 1965.

She was the woman McCain dreamed of during his long incarceration and torture in Vietnam’s infamous ‘Hanoi Hilton’ prison and the woman who faithfully stayed at home looking after the children and waiting anxiously for news.

But when McCain returned to America in 1973 to a fanfare of publicity and a handshake from Richard Nixon, he discovered his wife had been disfigured in a terrible car crash three years earlier…. When Carol was discharged from hospital after six months of life-saving surgery, the prognosis was bleak. In order to save her legs, surgeons had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter.

Through sheer hard work, Carol learned to walk again. But when John McCain came home from Vietnam, she had gained a lot of weight and bore little resemblance to her old self.

“My marriage ended because John McCain didn’t want to be 40, he wanted to be 25,” she said. “You know that happens … it just does.”

It’s quite a painful story, involving physical difficulties, infidelity, and divorce. McCain’s first wife insists she’s not bitter, but clearly the circumstances surrounding her accident and the break-up of her family are an unpleasant subject.

Ross Perot, who paid for Carol’s medical care and introduced the McCains to Ronald and Nancy Reagan, said, “McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory.” Perot added, “After he came home, Carol walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona. And the rest is history.”

B’Man’s Sabbath Watch Redux 2: My Faith In a Priest’s Judgement Improves Greatly

And that’s what America really looks like. Which is why you normally don’t get to see it on TV.

Turns out the man in the video above is a Catholic priest by the name of Rev. Michael Pfleger, and apparently Bill O’Reilly did use a part of the interview above on his show. Approximately 5 seconds of it. On April 2. And yet, despite how well Pfleger deflects the nonsense tossed at him by O’Reilly’s ambush reporter (as seen in the above, not on his show) O’Reilly has been flogging the same “racist, hate-monger” nonsense for weeks.

As if that’s not bad enough, after the 5 seconds shown from the above interview, O’Reilly went on to do a full 6 minute segment discussing whether or not…wait for it…Pfleger should be sanctioned by the Catholic Church!

The Real McCain: Cliff Schecter Attacked

It just so happens that I bought Cliff’s book and I am reading it right now (I also bought Jesse Ventura’s newest and have not really begun it yet… I’ll finish Cliff’s today). There are a lot of things that I agree with Cliff on and his writing style is good. My only gripe is that he tends to be more Democrat than just a citizen (he defends many things the Dems do).

I believe that those who are the upper crust of the main parties are very out of touch and are owned by all the same Big Money people that own the reTHUGlicans.

But, this book is straight on and it is not “over the top” in any way. I believe that everyone should know what information there is about John because the MSM doesn’t give it to us. They protect him like their favorite old crazy uncle.

Greatest Healthcare in the World Needs Charity Assistance

Remember ever hearing about RAM (Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps? It is an amazing charity that Stan Brock started (Wild Kingdom fame) that gives free health care services to all sorts of remote areas that lack these basic systems. You know, those poor, ignorant, backwards people in the jungle and shanty towns in Mexico or wherever? You know, just like those same poor, ignorant, backwards people in Knoxville, TN??!!??

As Logan Murphy at C&L points out:

Brock has no family, takes no salary and has no home. He is completely dedicated to RAM, as are the doctors and nurses who volunteer their time and expertise. The local response to this RAM clinic in Knoxville was amazing, yet profoundly saddening. Hundreds of people showed up for the clinic, many drove hours to get there and waited up to seven hours just to get a spot in line to be seen — and ultimately, hundreds had to be turned away. These were not Cadillac driving welfare queens, they were average, working Americans who are under insured or have no insurance at all. The most disheartening part of it all is to see how many of these people had avoided seeking medical treatment for years because they couldn’t afford it and are now reduced to begging for help. It’s a microcosm of our medical system and it’s a damn ugly sight in the world’s wealthiest nation.

Haven’t you seen enough to realize that the republicanreTHUGlican party is a corrupt whore intent on idiotic ideologies that are proven failures at anything EXCEPT making the rich richer?
