Dr Doug’s band (Last Leg) has been featured here a few times. They are a powerful, raw-edged, southern rock and roll band that can put down some killer jams. Seriously good.
They are part of a Charter Cable sponsored contest called “Center Stage” where they allow people to “be the judge” and vote for their favorites.
Please, if you have time and the gumption, go to Last Leg’s page and vote for them (it looks like I am the first voter). Voting just opened up and I would love for them to get some bling-bling for their efforts. They could win $25,000 for first place and a chance to jam heavy and possibly get some sort of contract. They could, at the least, win some needed equipment and recognition.
They were required to submit an original tune (and ‘Nuclear Winter’ was selected). It has been highlighted here before. Doug wrote the number and I am totally impressed with the song and his abilities on lead guitar. And BTW, the old dog came to see me yesterday.
Us ole country boys need every little bit of help we can muster and that group is good enough and well deserving.
Again, for your enjoyment:
Please note that Last Leg has their own Reverbnation page. They can also be found on Facebook. And we are slowly building their YouTube channel, hopefully adding more of their music videos in the near future.

Fukushima, Brown’s Ferry, the gulf coast Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant, not to mention every airport in America, all have been showing what could happen. How bad will it get? I guarantee you that it will be worse than what they tell us. Unless you go to some non-MSM source:
From Infowars:
The Japanese newspaper Asahi reports today that data reveals meltdowns occurred at the No. 2 and No. 3 reactors. Goshi Hosono, special adviser to Prime Minister Naoto Kan, acknowledged the likelihood of meltdowns. “We have to assume that meltdowns have taken place,” Hosono said at a news conference May 16.
Infowars.com and other alternative news sources reported the probability of a nuclear meltdown at the plant, but this was virtually ignored by the corporate media.
As have I been telling everyone of my suspicion on this, even to the disdain and constant belittling from some perceived “friends” on the web.
I’ve even suggested that something has been used to purposefully cause this disaster and it appears that “some” sort of influence has, indeed, heated the atmosphere right before and up to the point of the earthquake. Could this have caused the event? You tell me.
Whatever, I am simply going to have a good time, get prepared, and be ready for the nuclear winter. I’ll let Dr Doug explain below (first shared here):

The family and I got to party with Last Leg at The Jam Hut. Big cookout and I would guess 75 people showed up to celebrate birthdays (including my wife, BuelahLady, that has a birthday TODAY). I was able to record some of the music and wanted to share at least one song. Yeah, the camera is off a bit and the sound from it is not perfect, but I just had to point out Dr Doug’s skills on lead guitar (he is truly a phenomenal player).
I don’t normally post music videos here, especially two in a row, but I will make an exception today for my ole lady’s B’Day.
Dr Doug and his band, Last Leg (pretty cool story behind the name) playing an original tune (Doug wrote) called Nuclear Winter. Doug has some amazing guitar skills.
