Thank you, sir.

Nothing so clearly delineates the corruption we face on a daily basis in our government's actions than the suppression of the evidence that Vincent Bugliosi brings to the case for prosecuting these felons.

That Bush feels so sure he will never be prosecuted that he travels freely around the country continuing to spread the lies of the rightwing junta signifies the unexpiring death knell for the USA.

Eruvande,

Thanks for stopping by again. It is a glaring hypocrisy that I cannot allow to go unaddressed (even if only at this little ole blog).

I am a poet working on a video-poem about war and would like to use your photos shown here (kids with guns) in my video. it would be for no more than a couple of seconds. Would you grant me permission to do so? You would be credited.

THANK YOU. This is the part of the whole mess that boggles my mind the most! And yet we're the bad ones for not going to church and for arguing in favor of UHC, according to friends and neighbors.

Euandus2,

You have a valid argument (sorry, but comments are turned off at your site, so I thought I'd comment here).

But how did we get to this point?

I believe that we have had a mass brainwashing occurring for decades.

I am old enough to remember hard times (I remember the 70's and 80's recession). I am old enough to remember my Grandmother and other elders explaining the significance and importance of saving.

There was a mass effort to change this thought pattern from the old folk's fiscally conservative/responsible nature. I don't know if it was just plain old greed or something even more dubious, but I believe that this was orchestrated.

There is a NYT article on the US debt today (see http://euandus3.wordpress.com/2009/11/23/12-trillion-in-debt-living-beyond-our-means/). It hasn't been just after the financial crisis of 2008 that the US Government has had unbalanced annual budgets... And consider consumer "use" of credit cards? Is there something about our society--about ourselves--that we are missing because we are in it? (e.g. a fish doesn't "see" its water). I don't think we are digging deep enough.

Hi Suzan,

Thanks for the input. Emerson Electric took Branson Ultrasonics, Camco Indexers and Copeland Compressors (amoung many others) and basically ran them in the ground. Emerson has a corporate mindset to bring up VP's through the ranks of its subsidiaries. The fastest way to make a name for oneself is to cut costs.

So what did they do in the case of Camco? They cut all the experienced engineers and brought in technical support with NO experience.

This opened the door for competition (and I started eating their lunch, until this recession/depression).

It is the same across the board and Mr Farr's writing doesn't even approach that. Dubious bullshit, imo.
