As someone who I believe resembles a sane person (namely me… but don’t all insane people think they are actually sane????Just sayin’) and many of you that frequent here (which means you are obviously just as coo coo as I am…), I have felt that there is far more to the Drug War than what the corrupt officials of this country have told us. As with so many other things, there are lies and illogical fallacies used to convince an ever-growing Sheople that we need to fight this war. Never mind personal liberties or the fact that one particular illicit drug is also one of the world’s best medicines.
As This Is Not My America pointed out in comments of another post, it is progressing even more to a totally disconnected populous, even among his friends. He said:
Something happened yesterday, something that Ive seen online but never thought would happen to me in conversation…
I was sitting talking to some’friends’ , jury duty came up and how to get out of it. As the discussion progressed , it lead to drug policies. OHH boy , wrong discussion to get me in,as many of you here know. The topic came to a point where three of th four disagreed and attacked me on my views or how stupid our drug laws are. How corruption is caused by them on and on. At one point, one of my attackers dropped my jaw by saying all drug users should be lined up and shot. Mind you , this person has history of drug use/abuse. I was shocked. I have seen this idea fro m people online…never from people in my area of existance. I asked” Are you serious?” Yes was the answer. “Even if your adult children or grandchildren are drug users/consumers?” the answer came as yes. Three of the four agreed. The fourth was just as shocked as I. I said” You people are seriously wrong in the head.” the conversation ended abruptly there.
Now think about that for a minute. Think how far a person must be from a sensible reality in this idiotic country to think like that (especially a person who once was caught up in the nightmare of addiction). Even for their own children. Amazing, but I am no longer surprised by such a thing.
Now, step back from that mindset (if possible) and consider that like EVERYTHING else that happens in this Fascist country, Big Money rules, and, yes, it also rules in this subject. From RealEconTV yesterday, watch this to understand just how much this “war” is needed:
I just found out yesterday that a person I know is being charged with a drug crime involving a couple of pills. They were told that this crime could cost him 20 years of his life in the Pen. Yet, Wachovia (and those who have enriched themselves to the tune of $BILLIONS, pay a very small percentage of their take in fines and not one peep about jail or any other real punishment). Not only that, but it continues today and may even be instrumental is keeping this failed financial systemrip-off afloat.
And besides a failed economy, this is what it gets us:
Does anything else really need to be said? If so, add it in comments.

I hadn’t planned on writing about a guy that was killed around 8 to 10 years ago, but now I can’t help myself. Everywhere that I have been in the past several days that has a TV on has been showing little more than the Fear Narrative driven by OBL’s 9th death. It is EVERYWHERE.
What does that tell me? Not that I have to worry about the constructed Bogeyman Reprisal, but that something big is being planned and the rhetoric is shifting to warp-speed. They want you scared, people. And there are very few people who have not taken the tainted Koolaid. Watch the following I saw at The Intel Hub (the entire piece is good):
Listen to those mindless assholes.
“Better safe than sorry” the Brutha tells us. Then the next person interviewed tells us that we need to use our millions of eyes and ears to keep a vigilant watch out (as IF people don’t, already).
Let me tell you something, I trust very few people already, not because of terrorism, but because people are already getting hungry where I am from. Crime is skyrocketing around here. Break-ins, shoplifting, home invasions on elderly, murder…
People are already losing it, but it has NOTHING to do with any terrorism, it has EVERYTHING to do with survival in a country where decent jobs have disappeared and the ones left don’t pay enough even for the basics. I know several people personally that are facing charges as I write this. These are good people at their heart, but have become desperate enough to do anything because they can’t get a job or have been screwed over by the Law.
But beyond this, listen to the security apparatus’ new digs being setup at malls, train stations, and other “soft” targets. In other words, EVERYWHERE else that people mingle.
Please watch each other. Be suspicious of everyone as a terrorist.
BE LIKE ISRAEL: with a search of every person at every “soft” target area in their country. God, doesn’t that make you wonder just how much of a real outside terrorist problem they have? Does it make you consider that maybe there are many mini false flag events that happened there, which is now expanding here? Hell, it’s all the same people running the show, or their paid and manipulated puppets that run things here (think Chertoff, as a single example).
I just gotta say that being like Israel is NOT what is best for me or my country. However, I cannot deny that it is happening right before our eyes.
Isn’t it amazing how much intel we have gleamed from the documents, pc’s, thumb drives, etc found at OBL’s $1M Estate, er, $250K house? Is it just me, but how much more intel could have been gotten from OBL himself, seeing how now that he could have easily been taken since the lies have been demolished about his armed confrontation and using his wife as a human shield. Do you think that a kidney failed, diabetes infested towel head could have kept from spilling ALL the beans by their favorite torture device, the Water Board?
More insane is the fact that Obama claims that releasing any photos could cause reprisals, yet EVERYTHING insists that we are going to get reprisals without releasing them. But does that stop them from releasing OTHER gruesome photos from that “firefight”? Or did it stop the Saddam Hussein or his sons images from being splattered everywhere?
Seriously, on the face of this, it is evident that all of this is a lie. But even if it isn’t, why do things the way they were done? Check BrassCheckTV for their hypothesis.
I, on the other hand, believe there are a variety of motives behind this. It’s like a massive attempt to go for all the marbles, as it were. Read SteveLendmanBlog post on the subject and catch this:
Issues and Answers
After years of using bin Laden simultaneously as a CIA asset and “Enemy Number One,” why the shift now? Aside from eliminating the alleged top terror threat, major events like this are always strategically timed for political reasons.
At least several stand out now, including:
(1) Boosting Obama’s sagging image. It worked according to a New York Times poll showing an approval bump from 46% in April to an early May 57%, even though the euphoria will soon fade in hard times.
(2) Diverting attention from eroding domestic needs, notably growing angst over a deepening Main Street depression.
(3) Hyping fear for intensified, not less, imperial war, and perhaps preparing the ground for a major false flag attack to advance America’s grand scheme for unchallengeable global dominance.
I pointed out many of the same issues on FB and elsewhere, including the fact that the media whores have stopped talking about Fukushima, where they are nowhere near fixing the spewing radiation that is now found here and elsewhere in the world. Notice how we barely hear that Feds Abandon Extra Radiation Monitoring of Milk, Water. We also have forgotten about Libya, in many ways, especially the fact that our magnificent bombing raids have killed many innocent children and that we are now in cahoots with the very same Al Qaeda in that endeavor (shit, didn’t we just hear that they were our enemy????).
This whole thing is comical in its attempt to form a narrative and when facts are shown to be lies (like the fact that the staged photo-op with Hillary and the boys aghast watching the killings happen live actually could not be true since they lost the video feed for over 20 minutes as it was happening). I told a friend on Facebook that the picture of Clinton looking so freaked out might have just as easily been them watching a bunch of dead babies, except for the fact that I doubt that even THAT would illicit such an image and response from that evil bitch.
Have we simply hired a bunch of actors who play parts on behalf of the Zionists? Just look at how the narrative was setup by Obama not allowing pictures taken of his announcement, then going to set up a photo-op right afterwards so the pictures of his concern could be printed.
Let me ask you a couple of things about this farce and how it makes little sense, even from the players in the play. How can POTUS Obama and Sec Clinton come out and tell us that “justice has been served”, that “the world is a safer place”, and that the “world is better off”, but at the same time that we need to “redouble our efforts”. Redouble? As in spending another $TRILLION on bogus Imperialism of the Middle East? It will never end and the contradictions seemingly escape the mass of Americans.
Look. It is evident that Obama is the lead role in this production, but he didn’t write it, nor direct any of it. This comes from elsewhere up the production food chain. It’s all a production to scare the shit out of you. And the other long-dead actor was paid, not only by our CIA early on, but by British Intelligence AND Mossad.
I saw this at the aangirfan blog (and subsequently watched the rest of the interview at DProgram). If you don’t have time for the entire interview, at least watch this one:
(I would suggest that this man hide, for I see an untimely death for him if they get their hands on him.)
Here is what we need to remember: these people are not incompetent. Of course there are some that are stupid as rocks, but by and large there are very bright people doing this. But it is very difficult to construct such a production when the main actor has been dead for a very long time. Yet the majority of American people are too brainwashed, scared and full of American Exceptionalism to understand that we are watching a play/movie unfold before our eyes.
But what could possibly be their rationale for this production? Especially if he was unarmed.
No, it’s a lie to do something else. And there are surely several goals to be attained due to the lie.
You think its simply to raise Obama’s poll numbers? In the scheme of things, those who control this all don’t give a shit about that (even tho Obama might). There is more to it.
How about the latest news from those thumb drives that tell us of the plot of Al Qaeda to attack rail lines in the USA? Think that might be an excuse to implement scanners and dick touching at railway terminals and other “soft” targets? Isn’t that amazing? Or maybe the fact that the Dollar is crashing and several countries like China, Japan and S Korea are now considering dumping the use of the US Dollar? Or that the Eurozone is quickly falling apart and that Greece wants out?
Or simply think about this post here that I shared a couple of days ago that is getting so much attention lately. Think that any of this, not to mention that almost every source has since shut down any viewing or tracking of Elenin, might be keeping truly IMPORTANT things from being understood?
What else do you think are the motives, besides Obama’s lagging poll numbers that really doesn’t mean shit?

I’m sure most of you that have been following and/or debating America’s Drug War have heard about the recent expose’ by CBS where a new hero has stepped up to admit that the US ATF dictated that they allow guns to be sent from complicit American gun shops across the border. If not watch this:
March 3, 2011. CBS Evening News. Gun Walking. Interview with ATF Federal agent John Dodson. ATF was intentionally sending heavy weaponry to Mexican drug cartels. The secret operation was called Fast and Furious.
Some suggest that this is simply being used to make a case for a gun ban in the US. You can see that argument here and see how the government propaganda machine does lie to propagate this attempt:
I am not suggesting there is no truth, whatsoever in that claim (for I believe that many in our government would love to strip us of our second amendment to be able to control us completely). What I am suggesting is that this latest ATF sponsored gun-running has another agenda. The perpetuation of the lie that is the War on Drugs (especially marijuana).
There have been more than 35,000 people who have been killed since President Felipe Calderón began following his puppet master’s directive to bolster Mexico’s version of the War on Drugs. But to assume that it is America’s fault or the lie that “90% of those guns come from America” is not seeing the picture and simply believing the attempts to continue what is a totally failed policy.
Sane voices understand that the militarization of the drug war in Mexico is a key reason for “extortions, kidnappings, and murders“. To me this seems obvious.
But not to America’s puppets. It takes decency and truth. It takes leaders who refuse to be our puppet; People like Bolivia’s President Evo Morales to discuss “The Big White Lie” openly.
But let me ask you, why would the ATF not only condone the gun-running, but also try to cover up their own participation?
It’s not like Americans aren’t waking up to the outright lies and it is crucial to note that Americans are more and more convinced that marijuana legalization is what we need to do. The Pew Research Center For The People and the Press polls prove this:
None of this even speaks to the corruption and blatant murder on America’s soil by those that are supposed to “serve and protect”. See this reminder:
During a Sept. 16 raid by the Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force, Todd Blair was shot and killed in his home. The Weber County District Attorney’s Office has ruled the shooting justified under Utah law. Blair’s family believes he was shot unnecessarily. Read the entire story at
http://bit.ly/hlawOF
or http://www.sltrib.com
Justified? These criminals with badges didn’t adequately plan this invasion, didn’t warn this man to “put down your weapon” (which was a freaking golf club) and then murdered him in cold blood. Not even a slap on the wrist. Condoned murder, plain and simple.
There are several states that are awakening to this. MPP (Marijuana Policy Project: of which I am a member) tells us that Hawaii has a bill to decriminalize marijuana possession.
In addition to two medical marijuana regulation bills being considered in Hawaii, a separate bill that would remove criminal penalties for possession of small amounts of marijuana is moving through the state Senate. Last week, it passed through two Senate committees and is now headed to the full Senate for a vote before advancing further. Considering that 20 of 25 members of the Senate are co-sponsors, it should be a breeze.
Even other countries are seeing the light. The UK’s former Drug Czar, Bob Ainsworth, is advocating the only sane pursuit, which is legalization (and mind you, he is talking about legalizing ALL drugs). The Transform Drug Policy Foundation explains and shares Mr Ainsworth’s position:
However, prohibition has failed to protect us. Leaving the drugs market in the hands of criminals causes huge and unnecessary harms to individuals, communities and entire countries, with the poor the hardest hit. We spend billions of pounds without preventing the wide availability of drugs. It is time to replace our failed war on drugs with a strict system of legal regulation, to make the world a safer, healthier place, especially for our children. We must take the trade away from organised criminals and hand it to the control of doctors and pharmacists.
Wow! Isn’t that amazing? But it takes a “former” Drug Czar to make this kind of sensible statement. Can you imagine “why” that is? To the contrary, for some reason, any current Drug Czar (like the US’s Gil Kerlikowske) cannot be allowed to say such a thing (even tho the predecessor of his previous position as chief of police in Seattle, Norm Stamper, has come out in favor of a more sensible and sane policy of total drug legalization):
http://KCTS9.org
Gil Kerlikowske, Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, discusses legalizing marijuana, the epidemic of prescription drug abuse, and comments on recent problems within the Seattle Police Department.
To put it simply, it is time to stop listening to those that are paid to keep Americans in bondage and listen to the sane ones; the ones that speak truth and understand the very nature of this bogus affront to our liberties (not to mention keeping miracle drugs from doing their miracles). It is time for Americans to understand the “why’s” (Big Meds, Big Prison and Big Money) and to call for an end. The truth is out there, but you won’t get it from those, like Kerlikowske, whose very livelihood depend upon the lies (and this includes small time cops and legislators). They gain from this corrupt and evil system.

Basically, we were already getting 80% of the seafood Americans eat from foreign countries. In the video below, one can see that this isn’t a very good idea for several reasons. We only inspect 1% of that sea food that is imported. And many times they raise these diseased and sickened animals in sewer and other ghastly conditions.
Now, they have killed the Gulf and the seafood we had access to (but was too expensive to buy with the competition selling inferior food and horrific conditions for the farmers and fishermen who caught and sent it). Just like textiles, electronics, automotive, furniture and almost every OTHER industry, we ship it out and get back product that sickens us and makes us as poor and desperate as those dirt farmers in Asia.

Is it any wonder to you that, “BP and government authorities collude to suppress reality of oil spill“?
Essentially, BP and the authorities are trying to suppress information about the oil spill just as the US military, with the complicity of the American media, has done in Iraq and Afghanistan. From Vietnam came images of wounded and dying soldiers, which had a significant impact on public opinion; from the Exxon Valdez spill in 1989, notes Newsweek magazine, “pictures of dead otters, fish, and birds, as well as oil-covered shorelines, ignited nationwide outrage and led to a backlash against Exxon.” The Pentagon and the corporate elite have learned a simple lesson: by whatever means necessary, prevent the population from learning the truth.
Even when they admit some error in calculation, like telling us that, “Feds double estimate of oil gushing into gulf“, you can bet your ass that they are still lying about the amount.
Oil is flowing from a blown-out well in the Gulf of Mexico almost twice as fast – at minimum – as has been estimated, although some of it is now being captured, federal officials said Thursday.
Their estimates now range from 20,000 to 40,000 barrels per day, according to U.S. Geological Survey Director Marcia McNutt – well above the most recent estimate of 12,000 to 19,000 barrels per day and vastly higher than BP’s original reckoning of 1,000 to 5,000 barrels in the days after the April 20 blowout.

And they will continue to lie or downplay the real expected result of this horrific “accident”. I look elsewhere for real news than any MSM source, but even they are beginning to follow the citizen outrage that is slowly building. Most people, especially those in the south with some connection to the Gulf are hearing first hand accounts now. It shouldn’t surprise you that real Americans on the ground with no cover-up to pursue or criminal activity to perpetrate against us are seeing this as the total disaster that is occurring right before their/our eyes. The MSM cannot ignore it forever, since the outrage is taking over the country.
Steve Lendman explains why there is a “Disaster in the Gulf” (please go and read the entire thing):
As more information surfaces, a potentially biblical disaster is unfolding, threatening to make vast parts of the Gulf dead zones, animals and plant species so contaminated and unsafe that Gulf communities may face “the total end of fishing, according to Carl Safina, Blue Water Institute ocean biologist.
“I don’t see how the fish populations will be able to withstand what has happened. The basis of their livelihoods is being destroyed. This is not a temporary issue. Those things don’t come back the day the oil stops,” and no end of it so far is in sight.
On May 30, the UK Independent’s Emily Dugan headlined “Oil spill creates huge undersea dead zones,” according to oceanologists and toxicologists, saying:
If experts are right, “the sea’s entire food chain could suffer years of devastation, with almost no marine life in the region escaping its effects.”
Many scientists believe what’s unseen below the surface will have the deadliest impact because of the combination noxious oil and toxic dispersants, combined to make a growing disaster far worse.
Over 8,300 animal and plant species are at risk. Some may face extinction, but the true toll won’t be known for years…
Every damned post I make tells people that this is a disaster. Not one “waiting to happen”, but one that is unfolding in front of us. Even with the tardy, feigned outrage of B Sotero (which is nothing more than a response to the citizen outrage described above), I am not sure that America is still realizing the extent of this. I doubt anyone will until it is finally described in the MSM as The Dead Zone, but then it will be too late.
Steve goes on to explain what I have been trying to do with my redneck lack of ability (there is a doomsday situation looming):
According to University of Georgia biogeochemist, Samantha Joye, the vast underwater plumes are “unlike anything else that has ever been seen anywhere, certainly in human history, (and they) threaten to wreak havoc on marine life. (Also unprecedented are) extremely high levels of methane. It’s impossible to know what (its) impacts” will be, something that will take years to understand. Besides the enormous damage to the Gulf, Joye’s greatest fear is one or more hurricanes, pushing the oil ashore, and spreading it through torrential rains well inland, and contaminating vast crops and farmland over a vast area.
On June 8, oil expert Matthew Simmons, on MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan show, said the enormity of the Gulf disaster has been grossly underestimated. He believes from 100,000 – 150,000 barrels are spewing out daily, mostly from “an open hole with no casing in it which sits about seven miles away from where BP has ben trying to fix these little tiny leaks in the drilling riser.”
After the explosion, 40,000 – 50,000 pounds of pressure per square inch intensified the fire and popped the blowout preventer like a cork. Then the casing came out, so “we have an open hole that’s spewing I would guess somewhere between 100 – 150,000 barrels a day of oil which is why you now have over a 100 mile oil lake at the bottom of the Gulf….that’s apparently 4 – 5,000 feet deep.”
“I think (we’ll) discover that we have an open hole with no casing in it,” so to contain the leak, BP is doing “everything wrong. (They are) trying to patch a little leak in the drilling riser” when the real problem is an open hole with no casing in it. If true, as is likely, “the only way we’ll shut it off is either let it (exhaust itself over up to) 30 years….or put a nuclear device down the hole,” blow it up, and encase it in melted rock (a “glassy plug”) – but not without the enormous risk of irradiating the Gulf and all plant and animal species in it.
According to New York University Physics Professor Michio Kaku, sealing the Gulf leak(s) with a nuclear device amounts to a “huge science experiment, with unintended consequences,” including potentially:
– releasing “dangerous, water-soluble chemicals such as radioactive iodine, strontium, and cesium, which would contaminate the food chain in the Gulf;
– the ‘seal’ created by the glassified sand is probably unstable; (and)
– it might actually make the problem worse, creating many mini leaks on the ocean floor.”
Further, eight or more hurricanes are predicted. If one or more hit the Gulf, “it means that seawater several hundred feet below the surface of the water could be churned up and then deposited over the South. This seawater, containing oils and radioactive fission products, would magnify the environmental problem” hugely. As a result, Kaku strongly opposes the nuclear option, given the enormous risks and no way to contain them.
But, Mr Redneck, you might say, “They have a plan.”
Yeah, like this one?
Good luck with doing that to a Million + gallons of the shit per day. Especially when most of it is underwater.
Our friend, G (from The Daily G) explains the entire situation as like, “hunting American bald eagles with golden bullets.” (I happen to love that phrase)
Here’s the ‘efficiency’ of capitalism in action: there’s a precious, dwindling resource we’re frantically drilling and even fighting for, and even that we waste in the dumbest, most damaging ways imaginable.
It’s like hunting American bald eagles with golden bullets.
We cannot ever expect a system that enshrines pure self-interest to nurture the planet and protect the common good. A good that happens as an accidental by-product of greed is a) not real good and b) bound to let us down. We need a steady sincere good that comes from the heart, like the love of a parent. That earnest bond between man and society can be trusted to look after the common good – not a system that tries to harness selfishness, that expects only the worst from human beings.
Please go read the rest, ’cause G nails the issue by explaining to us that there will never be a pure “free-market” driven system that will EVER take care of each other. The only way that will ever occur is for good people to reach out and take care of each other. With the current erroneous ‘pure capitalism’ model, the only thing that is instilled is “to each his own” and “dog eat dog”.
Surely, at this juncture, you can see that the “free market” system is a lie… a sham. There is none and the more idiots try to make one, the worse the problems get (more greed and less oversight/regulation). The people will ALWAYS lose.
Excuse me, but the Big L libertarians are idiots in ever expecting this to change with less and less regulation and oversight.
Several commenters are as concerned as I about the situation in the Gulf. But by and large, America isn’t truly aware of the total devastation. Billy Nungesser explains it well (h/t BrassCheckTV and new commenter, joanaroo):
Permanent Destruction of Louisiana Marshland
Nungresser is telling it like it is. There are 24 miles of Plaquemines Parish that are not just oil covered, but that are DEAD. No birds, no wildlife. Not a single sound.
Most of it has been criminally hidden from view, and are being covered up. My guess is that they know that most of America will not get angered unless they see oil covered birds and fauna. So they use these dispersants to keep it submerged, out of sight (out of the American mind). You see, Big Oil learned a significant lesson in the Valdez spill (which pales in comparison to this volcano). They learned that safety isn’t required, just don’t let the public see the problem. Hide it and they know that the stupid assed American public, hooked on American Idol and cheap, Vietnamese Shrimp, don’t really give a fuck (unless they see birds and seals with oil all over them). Then we might buy a few extra bottles of Dawn and send down there (patting ourselves on the back for our excellent love and care of Mother earth).
As I shared in comments this morning, we haven’t even seen the beginning yet. If you think that the worst we will get from this is just 24 dead miles of Louisiana Parish and swamplands, you are sorely mistaken. This shit is STILL pouring out. They have no real solution and are holding the locals back from doin things on their own for self-protection. All this does is give more time for the horror to grow worse.
We also have some complicit media clowns that are truly as ignorant as they appear in such clips as this:
[youtube=
h/t Global Research and Brian Merchant
In that particular article, Brian finishes by explaining what I am trying to say here:
5. It’s More Convenient to Conceal the Devastation
One oft-voiced worry among conservation groups and other press that I heard as I trekked from marina to marina, city to city around the Gulf, was that there would only be interest in ensuring that justice was brought to those impacted by the spill as long as the cameras were rolling. And without any distinctly shocking material to film, those cameras would be rolling away sooner rather than later.
Which is why it’s important that the Coast Guard explain a concrete policy for press access and that BP encourage the fishermen who’ve been out in the field to speak up about their encounters with the oil. If they have nothing to hide, then why clamp down, right? It’s a spooky thought, but if there are images of gruesomely oil-slicked beaches and blackened birds, the public has a right to see it. Even if this does sound distressingly like a call for sensationalism — it’s in part because that very sensationalism will help bolster conservation efforts and strengthen sound policy initiatives.
And of course, I believe that the use of chemical dispersants is far too dangerous a gamble, and not only because it helps prevent people from grasping the severity of the spill, but because of the unknown long-term threats they pose to marine habitats. This stuff could yet emerge as the dominant narrative of the Gulf spill in hindsight, damaging food chains for generations, or worse.
The point of all of this is: don’t believe just your eyes — listen to reports coming in from legitimate conservation scientists and investigative journalists. Much of the press down there are out on the boats every day, desperately trying to get the best sense of what’s going on — and being thwarted by weather, BP, the dispersants, and sometimes evidently the Coast Guard. For 10 days, I was trying my best, too — and I can tell you, it’s looking like we may never see the worst of this spill with our own eyes.
They are intentionally dragging their feet (both BP and the US Government). Within days, we should have taken over all containment, shut-off, contamination prevention and clean-up activities. But what does our Big Money owned government do? Continue to allow the very damned culprits to handle the fiasco and earth killing devastation that THEY created.
That is just about exactly what we should expect from people that WANT this to continue.
I guess I am jaded, with absolutely no trust or appreciation for a single person or entity within our government. The whole damned thing is corrupted.
So, what should we look for now? Over the next month or two, we will begin to see this humongous underwater cloud of cancer causing bullshit to spread throughout the Gulf. Take its trip down thru the Florida Keys, a little vacation in Cuba, The Bahamas and Jamaica (one of my favorite places to visit in the world). And then, as the currents take it up the eastern seaboard, we may begin to see Americans get outraged.
So, basically, my prediction is that Americans, by and large will slowly brew in their anger and finally erupt in about two months, when they realize that this ecological disaster is the world’s worst (next to Super-volcano eruptions and meteor hits). Definitely the world’s worst human made disaster, by far.
It seems to me that they are purposefully doing it and allowing it to grow.
Prove me wrong.
Please.
I pointed out early on how horrific this Gulf oil vomiting is. How it could turn the Gulf (and possibly every ocean black). How it could kill all living beings in her waters and if the reservoir is as big as they claim, might kill off every living being in ALL oceans (thereby killing every other terrestrial being, as well). What I am saying is that if this isn’t stopped, it could be the very end of the planet. I don’t think this is overboard, in any degree.
As I have said already a few times, this is far worse than what they have been telling us and even MSM is beginning to pick up this story. NPR had a fascinating story the other day and Common Dreams picked up on it.
Steven Wereley, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Purdue University, analyzed videotape of the seafloor gusher using a technique called particle image velocimetry.
A computer program simply tracks particles and calculates how fast they are moving. Wereley put the BP video of the gusher into his computer. He made a few simple calculations and came up with an astonishing value for the rate of the oil spill: 70,000 barrels a day — much higher than the official estimate of 5,000 barrels a day.
The method is accurate to a degree of plus or minus 20 percent.
Given that uncertainty, the amount of material spewing from the pipe could range from 56,000 barrels to 84,000 barrels a day. It is important to note that it’s not all oil. The short video BP released starts out with a shot of methane, but at the end it seems to be mostly oil.
“There’s potentially some fluctuation back and forth between methane and oil,” Wereley said.
But assuming that the lion’s share of the material coming out of the pipe is oil, Wereley’s calculations show that the official estimates are too low.
“We’re talking more than a factor-of-10 difference between what I calculate and the number that’s being thrown around,” he said.
At least two other calculations support him.
Timothy Crone, an associate research scientist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, used another well-accepted method to calculate fluid flows. Crone arrived at a similar figure, but he said he’d like better video from BP before drawing a firm conclusion.
Eugene Chiang, a professor of astrophysics at the University of California, Berkeley, also got a similar answer, using just pencil and paper.
Without even having a sense of scale from the BP video, he correctly deduced that the diameter of the pipe was about 20 inches. And though his calculation is less precise than Wereley’s, it is in the same ballpark.
“I would peg it at around 20,000 to 100,000 barrels per day,” he said.
Chiang called the current estimate of 5,000 barrels a day “almost certainly incorrect.”
Chiang is being pretty nice about that. For, as always, the lying liars are bald-facely NOT telling us the truth. Of course their official estimate is untrue. To explain that they have ruined our planet irreversibly, would never do. BP disagrees with the figures, altho they were the fastest to suggest that no one could accurately estimate the flow of oil, even tho there is technology readily available to do such an estimate.
No matter what the lying assholes say, tho, what is happening in the Gulf is far worse than the Exxon Valdez spill (which was about 250,000 gallons of oil). This hole is shitting that every day. Magnitudes worse in volume.
Guess what? Even the MSM is hinting that we were lied to about this:
This new, much larger number suggests that capturing — and cleaning up — this oil may be a much bigger challenge than anyone has let on.
And you want to know what else? It could do this for years or even decades before emptying its gut:
Matthew Simmons, retired chair of the energy-industry investment bank Simmons & Company, said that BP and the US military’s engineers are more or less clueless about cutting off the flow.
“We don’t have any idea how to stop this,” Simmons said. The former banker mocked a proposal to try and plug the leak with trash, saying it was a “joke.”
Simmons noted that the pressure at 5,000 feet undersea — where the well site is located — is so high, that containment efforts are likely often to fail. At 5,000 feet underwater, blocking elements have to be able to hold even with pressures off 40,000 pounds per square inch.
Incoming American Association of Petroleum Geologists chief David Resink says the oil reservoir that is feeding the spill is colossal.
“You’re talking about a reservoir that could have tens of millions of barrels in it,” Resink said. At the current spill rate, it “would take years to deplete,” he added.
There is history with spills and as in the case of the Valdez, there was a cost associated with harm to humans. There is nasty stuff in that putrid slime (an estimated 50,000 gallons of benzene were released from the Alaska disaster. To those in clean up, it cost the their health (and lives):
Oh, and by the way, It’s Here!
GE is really hurting in their American operations (so they say). But let’s look a little closer to make sure we see that the truth is that they are able to manipulate paperwork to make sure they don’t have to pay any taxes, all the while making hundreds of Billions in profit.
Washington’s Blog tells us that “After Getting Bailed Out By American Taxpayers, General Electric Pays ZERO U.S. Taxes, Pretending that All of Its Profits are Overseas”
General Electric got bailed out by American taxpayers.
Specifically, it was given $139 billion in FDIC guarantees and support by the Federal Reserve for it’s commercial paper (see this).
So you’d think that GE would return the favor by paying American taxes, right?
Wrong. GE paid no U.S. taxes for 2009.
As CNN points out:
GE had plenty of earnings last year — just not in the United States. For tax purposes, the company’s U.S. operations lost $408 million, while its international businesses netted a $10.8 billion profit.
It’s not just GE. Continuing to quote from the Washington Post the Blog explains that it is far worse than we can imagine:
About two-thirds of corporations operating in the United States did not pay taxes annually from 1998 to 2005, according to a new report scheduled to be made public today from the U.S. Government Accountability Office…
In 2005, about 28 percent of large corporations paid no taxes…
Dorgan and Sen. Carl M. Levin (D-Mich.) requested the report out of concern that some corporations were using “transfer pricing” to reduce their tax bills. The practice allows multi-national companies to transfer goods and assets between internal divisions so they can record income in a jurisdiction with low tax rates…
[Senator] Levin said: “This report makes clear that too many corporations are using tax trickery to send their profits overseas and avoid paying their fair share in the United States.”
Don’t that sting you a little bit? To know that you have been laying down around 30% (ONLY considering income taxes) and they skip on theirs? (BTW: the estimate for Corporate Income Taxes is claimed to be almost 40%, but how does that jive when many skip out totally… more importantly, who makes up the difference?)
What about that criminal outfit that owns you and your credit card? Should they pay any taxes when they show a $4.4Billion profit? Of course not:
Why is Bank of America Not Paying Any Taxes on $4.4 Billion in Income?
April 17, 2010Posted on 07 April 2010
By Sara Flocks
California Labor FederationAround this time every year, Californians scramble to finish doing their taxes and pay what they owe to the government.
But not everyone is paying their fair share. Forbes Magazine recently analyzed the tax returns of the top 25 U.S. companies and found out that they’re not paying much in taxes. In fact, corporations such as Bank of America, General Electric and Citigroup will not be paying ANY taxes this year — they’re actually getting money back from the government. Forbes explains:
How did Bank of America not pay any taxes on $4.4 billion in income? Because of deductions like $860 million in tax-exempt income, $670 million in low-income housing credits and a $600 million loss on shares of foreign subsidiaries. With a provision for credit losses of $49 billion, Bank of America probably won’t be paying taxes for a long time.
After taxpayers bailed out Bank of America to the tune of $45 billion and helped boost their income to $4.4 billion, Bank of America is using every possible tax loophole to get out of paying their fair share.
Bank of America isn’t alone in using tax loopholes, shelters and other shell games to get out of paying taxes. A study by the U.S. Government Accountability Office found that two out of every three U.S. corporations paid no federal income taxes from 1998 through 2005.

Will people ever grow enough brain cells to realize they need to Walk Away from these criminals? That these very monsters are the reason this country is falling apart? Matt Taibbi explains this very well in the series of videos found at BrassCheckTV
I also recommend listening to Webster Griffin Tarpley’s April 17 radio broadcast as he gets in to this topic and several others.
But while you are waiting for the next bit of entertainment, please note the following graphic which expresses itself quite clearly:
You don’t think there is some sort of connection to how the man has conducted his efforts (aka “failures”) and this list above, do you?
Naaa. Couldn’t be. Especially that top bank that is getting a little heat right now. I mean, they were forced to pay a whopping ONE PERCENT tax. That’ll learn ‘em.
HOLD EVERYTHING: Goldman has its defenders…
And now Lehman Bros has its detractors:
You REALLY need to watch this, if you haven’t seen it already:
(who let this dude sneak in to testify?)
These little people have done it. They out smarted us. They have taken decades to do it, but they have finally taken the mantle (and all Clinton can do is flex her puny little muscles and hope we hold on to the fake security that we are “America”… the strongest, smartest, most productive, most moral, most compassionate, most helpful, most endearing country in the world). The exceptional-ism that we have is immense. So much so that it dwarfs reality. We are really broke ass, plastic duck junkies:
See a person’s means…
Observe his motives.
Examine that in which he rests.
How can a person conceal his true character?
— Confucius
The Creditor and the Plastic Duck Junkie
Yes, boys and girls, it is true. They have been allowed to make you into a broke assed plastic duck junkie. And you (and I) gobbled that shit up. We supported the Wal-mart takeover (distribution arm of China) of our small towns. We allowed our “leaders” to bullshit us into believing the NAFTA’s, CAFTA’s, and every other Ass Shafta they could implement. We, all of us super-exceptional Americans, sat idly by as they dismanteled our manufacturing base, simply to give China the room to use virtual slave labor to make these worthless trinkets and other garbage so we can spend, spend, spend.
I would ask if you are even embarrassed, but you are not. You don’t even know it is happening, so how could it embarrass you?
What if, as the video above suggests, that China has intentionally been playing with us using profits from bogus shit to grow their economy and manufacturing (can anyone contend that they have NOT been doing so)? What if the situation is so dark and brooding that they have implemented the next step, which is to suggest to the Chinese citizens to buy gold and silver (you won’t hear that from any US government official, ‘cept, maybe Ron Paul)? What if the end run is on right now? What if they, the Chinese, decided that their own citizens owning gold and silver would help them back their currency, with plans to implement a new standard of currency in the world? What if they have orchestrated this take-over from the beginning and are now on the cusp of success?
I have been warning about the consequences of the status quo and have said time and time again, we are on the precipice of disaster. I have gone so far to inquire of my economic friends, ways to purchase silver and/or gold coinage (just as a safety net when the SHTF). But until today, I have not been able to close the circle of logic to “how” the demise will take place, but the following video should shed much more light on the subject. Sure, thee are many variables, such as how will our military react or what false flag event can they muster to take us into war with China (and Russia, Iran and Venezuela, cause they will ban together to fight us… mark my words). But, from a financial standpoint, they have us by the short curlies.
Maybe the video can explain it better than I:
Chinese Government Advises Gold Buying… Why?
Hey, my fellow rednecks. Its your old crazy-assed BuelahMan back, trying to express in the best way an old redneck can, what I see coming down the stretch this year. If you read with any regularity, I have recently become a “Prepper“… some call a “Survivalist”. Whatever. I think of myself as getting ready (preparing) for some very hard times.
But don’t think that I am hording years worth of food or have assault weapons and the like. I have a freezer full of food I grew last year. I have a decent stockpile of canned goods (along with rice). I have hunting rifles (small caliber for small game and a larger caliber for deer). I own a shotgun for bird and small game and a pistol for home protection. I do NOT own thousands of bullets or any crazy arsenal except what a man needs to feed his family and to shoo away those who think they might take my shit (a quick shot over someone’s head is probably enough to send them packing to someone else’s garden).
Do you think I’m crazy: that things could NEVER get this bad for America? That we, as a nation, haven’t taken a huge step backwards in “progress” (which is not progress, at all, but “regression”). My buddy Nick P at Black Sun Gazzette has a very good post up about this issue. Many others that I speak with in the Blogosphere also are discussing the possibilities of what “The Fall” might entail and look like to you. Ed at NotAnotherConspiracy followed up on a previous “Am I insane” post I made by suggesting several issues that are important in survival. But it is those people that live close to and know and personally… the ones who seem oblivious, until you ask them how they buy food if they are out of work, long since exhausted their unemployment benefits and realize that about 1/3 around here are already hurting more than they ever knew before.
First, let’s look at some background information that causes me to think we are so close to devastation. We have just finished a year of Props. The government has been propping up the stock market. It has been propping up the housing market. It is obviously propping up the “too big to fail” banks with your and my money. They are propping up American automotive and many other industries, as well. Few will discuss any of this, but every now and again, someone lets something slip out:
Stock Market Being Propped Up By Government (Says people on the floor of the stock market)
h/t BrassCheckTV
Key Points:
“This market continues to be propped up by government intervention and manipulation.”
“They’re trying to prop this market up on a daily basis and they’re doing a good job.”
“Every single day we have some kind of backstop from the government.”
“These markets are not free markets any more.”
“We’re at a point where no capital transactions are getting done without some intervention from Washington and I wonder how we ever get off these vitamin pills.”
“It’s not really healing if you’re just passing liabilities from private debt to the public debt – from one balance sheet to the other.”
Oops. Did the MSM know the mics were on? Candor from frustration and greed, but candor, nonetheless. And speaking of the Commercial Real Estate Debacle coming:
2nd Wave of Mortgage Defaults

I was visiting with one of my friends in my “network” (people who are dedicated to assisting each other when the SHTF) the other day and he told me a little story. He said that another friend of his is a Deputy Sherrif in our county. This law enforcement man has been doing this work for a pretty good while and as he and my buddy were talking, he explained that the sherrif’s department (and himself, personally) is hesitant to enter my town because it is armed to the teeth and scary as hell.
Personally, I don’t feel this vibe, but I am so in to my own stuff, that maybe I am just missing it.
I asked my buddy what this cop thought about the survivalist mentality and how he felt about the current situation. He told me that this cop and many more think just like I do. Concerned about what is coming and the fact that people will not be ready for it. I don’t know about you, but this is not very reaffirming.
I mean, is it really possible that anarchy could reign in this great country? More importantly than possibilities, is it “probable” that this will occur? I give it more than a 10% chance, but I may be crazy. How about others whom are more in-the-know (courtesy of George Washington’s Blog)?
Barton Biggs: 1 in 10 Chance of Anarchy in the U.S.
Today, Paul Farrell quoted Barton Biggs as predicting the breakdown of civilization and anarchy:
In his 2008 bestseller “Wealth, War and Wisdom” former Morgan Stanley research guru Barton Biggs warns us to prepare for a “breakdown of civilization … Your safe haven must be self-sufficient and capable of growing some kind of food … It should be well-stocked with seed, fertilizer, canned food, wine, medicine, clothes, etc … A few rounds over the approaching brigands’ heads would probably be a compelling persuader that there are easier farms to pillage.” Biggs sounds like an anarchist militiaman.
I haven’t read Wealth, War and Wisdom, and I wanted to find out what Biggs is actually forecasting for the U.S.
I found a recent (December 15th) interview in which Biggs gives specifics:
Is what’s happening now in Dubai and Greece, for example, a canary in the coal mine? In Greece, there is real chaos and anarchy, with mobs on the street. If Dubai goes down the drain, there’s going to be serious trouble, because they have a million or so imported workers from third-world countries. They are working their butts off, and they have been cheated for years, in terms of what they are paid and their food allowances. There are going to be real problems there.
You can make the case that it is not inconceivable that the barbarians could be at the gate in Europe, Japan and the US. It’s one chance in ten that’s going to happen but, as a person with wealth, you must ask what type of insurance to take out against that …
It sounds simplistic, but there’s nothing the matter with having some kind of self-sufficient farm that is not close to the big cities. It sounds almost stupid, but it sure paid off in occupied Europe during World War II. I don’t think periods of anarchy are going to last a long time in countries like the US. But could we have four or five months of anarchy? I think there’s one chance in ten that could happen.
Note that you probably haven’t even heard about the riots in Greece, have you? You may have heard a bit about Dubai and then the memory hole swallowed the news, but even with their huge fireworks display and the meme that “all-is-well”, we find the rhetoric is about as accurate as the number of weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq. Countries are falling apart and we, America, is the catalyst.
We are beginning to see it in unemployment numbers (which are highly bogus because they take you off the rolls after your benefits are depleted and then don’t count you as unemployed):
Severe unemployment worsens in cities
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The number of U.S. metropolitan areas with jobless rates above 15% increased in November, according to government figures released Tuesday, despite the biggest one-month drop in the national rate in more than three years.
The Labor Department said 17 of 372 metropolitan areas surveyed suffered unemployment rates of at least 15% last month, up from 15 metro areas in October.
And look how close we got to outright default in Dec (missing it by just three days):
US Avoids Technical Default By Three Days
Tyler Durden
Zero Hedge
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010On December 24, the Senate passed a vote by a razor thin margin (with not a vote to spare) to raise the Federal debt ceiling from $12,104 billion to $12,394 billion. The actual debt ceiling increase took effect on December 28. And as the chart below shows, the Treasury’s cash flow projections were spot on: 3 days later, and the debt subject to limit surged to $12,254, a jump of over $200 billion in 2 days, and a whopping $150 billion over the old debt ceiling.
Three days is all the buffer the administration’s reckless spending spree has afforded this country to avoid bankruptcy. Had one more Democratic vote dissented from the stopgap measure, the US would now be in technical default.

I mentioned here that food production is way off according to news reports, but funny how the government has a totally different view of how much food we produced as opposed to the people actually growing the stuff have to say. But, there are other factors which can either impede or quicken “The Fall” and if the Perfect Storm theory I have is true, it will be related to food, the financial crisis, a likely terrorist attack on this nation and the manipulation/skyrocketing costs of fuel. There will come a breaking point sometime, for as my accountant told me yesterday (admitting he cannot fully understand how the nations’ economy seems to be even moving at all after what has occurred), we cannot keep spending and printing money like we are. Especially if that money is by huge measures being doled out to banks and entities that will NOT help normal everyday Americans. Could THIS be the straw that breaks the American Camel’s back?
Oil Prices Will End the Futility Economy
Jan 5th, 2010 | By James Howard Kunstler
On the first business day of the new year and oil traded above $80 a barrel, which means the price has re-entered the danger zone where it can crush industrial economies. This is a central element of the predicament we find ourselves in. The US economy is essentially a Happy Motoring economy. During the whole nervous period since the collapse of Lehman Brothers, American gasoline consumption hardly went down at all, though so many other activities collapsed, from house-building to trucking. Yesterday, The Seattle Times published a story with the idiotic headline: Oil Touches $80 on US Economy, Demand Optimism. Apparently, they think high oil prices are “a good sign.”
How much can a nation not get it? Would $100 oil ignite a new orgy of “consumer” spending and another round of investment in commercial real estate? Welcome to the Futility Economy. This is the economy where Nature and its material companion, Reality, punish us for our stupidity and fecklessness. This is the economy that will tear the United States apart, after it bankrupts us at every level, and mercilessly drives the population down by one-third through starvation, homelessness, violence, disease, and sheer political cruelty.
Whatever you thought our economy was the past thirty years — whatever model of it you have in your head — that is definitely not what we are going back to. Like one of Dickens’s Yuletide ghosts, Reality is leading us by the hand into new circumstances. We resist like crazy. We throw our hands over our eyes. We don’t want to look. We want to return to the comfort of our dreary routines — living in places that aren’t worth caring about, weaving endlessly in freeway traffic, drawing a paycheck at the air-conditioned cubicle, inhaling Buffalo wings by the platterful, with periodic side-trips to the state-chartered casino where there’s always a chance of scoring a lifetime’s income on one lucky bet. And at the end of the day, you can retire with a simulated prostitute on your laptop screen! And not even have to fork over a dime — except perhaps for the Internet connection fee.
…Reality is taking us out of that familiar, if sordid, realm, whether we like it or not. Our destination is an everyday economy where you rarely travel far from the place you live, where you have to make provision for you own health, your own old age, your own income, your own diet, your own security, and your own education. If you’re really fortunate, some or all of these necessities can be obtained in conjunction with your neighbors in the place where you live — but don’t expect an increasingly mythical federal government to supply any of it. Expect a new and different way of organizing households based on extended families and kinship groups. Be prepared for agriculture to return to the foreground of everyday life, where farming is back at the center of the economy. Think about how you will cultivate your best role in a social network so the things you do will be truly valued by the other people who know you. Learn how to make your own music and write your own scripts. Try to study history. Resist cults. Keep your mind clear and your senses sharp.
Each and every bit of advice is excellent, but I want to add my 2 cents worth
Save Every Penny you possibly can. Stop spending money on frivolous stuff. Do not buy real estate, UNLESS it is a farm you intend to work. Take your money out of the Big Banks and use local banks or Credit Unions. Keep cash on hand, for if they shut down the banks (and they will when the SHTF), you will need operating moolah. Better yet, if you can afford it, have silver or some gold coins put back. Learn to grow your own food (even very small plots can yield good amounts of food: I proved this to myself last year… my first garden ever). Learn to fish and hunt. Have 3 to 6 months of food available. And one of the very most important points: secure energy. If that means a generator, a solar backup, something/anything to help if electricity is gone for some reason and extended periods of time.
The two most basic things will be Food and Energy. Protection, guns, networks, all of that is WORTHLESS without food and energy.
Maybe its two birds in a pod. Nonetheless, they are identical when it comes to the Empire.
I tend to call these kind of people, “Damned Liars” (h/t BrassCheckTV):
New President, Same Old Scam
We’re heading to Afghanistan, why?
Because of Al-Queda?
Intelligence estimates are there are 100 Al-Queda fighters left in Afghanistan…and my guess is they’re in pretty rough shape.
So we need 30,000 troops to deal with that?
This is a bonanza for somebody – but not for Afghanistan or Americans.
Watch for the coming war surtax…
Hey, someone’s got to pay for this.
OK. I will admit that Mr Obama isn’t a total liar. My friend Tengrain points out that the one thing Obama did keep his promise about was his strategy to send more troops to Afghanistan. My bad. I guess the peace prize is deserved, afterall.
It is spelled very similarly to the current “rogue” country that is doing the same thing.
And what happened after the other country disemboweled the dollar?
h/t BrassCheckTV
The first thing the US did when it invaded and took over Iraq was reverse Saddam Hussein’s recently policy of demanding Euros in payment for his countries oil.
Some think that’s what the war was all about and that Iran’s insistence on receiving Euros for its oil is the real reason that country has been targeted.
Dollars? Euros? What’s the difference?
The difference is this…if you are the dominant currency, you can support your lifestyle and war machine by printing more when you run out.
Take that power away and there will be a very economic painful dislocation in the US.
What happened on this day, 2001?

Also notice what else was happening on that day:
September 10, 2001: President Bush Arrives at Longboat Key Resort; Tight Overnight Security Includes Surface-to-Air Missiles
At 6:30 p.m., President Bush arrives at the Colony Beach and Tennis Resort on Longboat Key, Florida. [Sammon, 2002, pp. 13; Sarasota Herald-Tribune, 9/10/2002] He is in Florida as part of a weeklong effort to place a national spotlight on education and reading, and visited a school in Jacksonville earlier in the day. [ABC News, 9/10/2001; Florida Times-Union (Jacksonville), 9/10/2001] In preparation for the president’s visit to the resort, all guests have been cleared out of the building “to make way for the invasion of White House staffers, aides, communications technicians—even an antiterrorism unit.” Overnight, snipers and surface-to-air missiles are located on the roof of the Colony and adjacent structures, to protect the president. “The Coast Guard and the Longboat Key Police Department manned boats that patrolled the surf in front of the resort all night. Security trucks with enough men and arms to stop a small army parked right on the beach. An Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) plane circled high overhead in the clear night sky.” [Sammon, 2002, pp. 13 and 25; Sarasota Herald-Tribune, 9/10/2002] Whether this is a typical level of security for a presidential visit, or is increased due to recent terror warnings, is unstated.
