The Ultimatum That Gave Us Pearl Harbor

The Ultimatum that Gave Us Pearl Harbor

During the nearly quarter of a century since 1944, and despite a series of official investigations, the defenders of Roosevelt among historians, journalists and politicians have been able to keep the vital information about the responsibility for war with Japan and the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor from the American people.Harry Elmer Barnes

It doesn’t matter how many times you prove it. Wait five years and you have to prove it all over again. Take Pearl Harbor. The fact that FDR knew the Japanese were going to attack is something that should by now be as solidly established in American historiography as William Randolph Hearst’s famous order to his photographer, “You furnish the pictures, I’ll furnish the war,” (the conflict under discussion being the Spanish American war). Alexander Cockburn

From all that we have now learned about what happened on that fateful day of December 7, 1941, there might still be some small room for debate as to how precise was our leaders’ knowledge of the impending Japanese attack in the hours just before it took place.  Beyond debate is the fact that Franklin Roosevelt very badly wanted the attack to occur so that he would have an excuse to involve the United States militarily in the war in Europe, that he had taken precisely the steps needed to make sure that an attack was imminent, and that he kept the news that he had taken those steps away from the people who most needed to know it.  Foremost among that latter group were our military leaders in the Pacific, most specifically, General Walter Short and Admiral Husband Kimmel in Hawaii.  What no Americans were told, outside a tiny handful of people, was that we had effectively ended negotiations to temper or end our crippling economic embargo on Japan, and we had ended them with what amounted to a slap in the proud Japanese face.  Furthermore, the key commanders in the Pacific were not informed that the inevitable Japanese military response, which we had learned from intercepted messages, was forthcoming in short order.

Roosevelt might have miscalculated with respect to the degree of damage that the attack on Pearl Harbor would inflict.  His failure to share with the commanders in Pearl Harbor the information they needed to prepare for the attack, though, was not a miscalculation or a matter of inadvertence.  He knew that the Japanese had a very good spying apparatus, and the last thing that Roosevelt wanted was for them to see that we were so ready for the attack that it would be called off.  There is a lot more evidence, but all one really has to do is to read FDR’s speech of December 9, 2012, the day after the “date that will live in infamy” speech, to see just how badly Roosevelt wanted us into the European war.

Among the Americans kept in the dark were all the members of the U.S. Congress.  As the quote above from historian Harry Elmer Barnes suggests, most of the American people remain in the dark to this day.  With his 1976 book, one of the previously deceived congressmen made an effort to rectify that situation for the public.  Unfortunately, but perhaps predictably, illustrious though the author might have been, the book failed to find a “reputable” publisher and it consequently continues to be obscure.  The man was Rep. Hamilton Fish who represented Roosevelt’s home district in New York and the book is FDR, the Other Side of the Coin: How We Were Tricked into World War II.  The following is from his introduction:

This book is an agonizing reappraisal written by the author, the Honorable Hamilton Fish, a member of Congress for twenty-five years, ranking Republican member of the Foreign Affairs Committee 1933-43, and ranking member of the Rules Committee 1940-45.

The author is one of the very few former members alive who participated actively in the Congressional foreign policy debates between 1937 and 1945.  I made the first speech advocating war with Japan on December 8, 1941 (the first speech ever made in Congress over the radio).  The speech was heard by over 20 million Americans and it upheld President Roosevelt’s theme of the “Day of Infamy.”  I now publicly disavow that speech as a result of subsequent historical evidence.  I believe that not only the American people but everyone interested in the truths of history is entitled to know the naked truth: that Roosevelt incited and provoked Japan into war by the issuance of an all-out secret war ultimatum in defiance of the Congress, the American people, and the Constitution of the United States, ten days before Pearl Harbor. (emphasis in original)

Even now, every Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, American newspapers editorially denounce Japan for provoking and causing the war in the midst of peace negotiations.  This is entirely contrary to the historical facts.  The Honorable Clare Boothe Luce was right when she said that President Roosevelt lied us into war by the back door in order to get into war with Germany.  Sir Oliver Lyttleton, British Minister of Productions in Churchill’s cabinet, speaking before the American Chamber of Commerce in London in 1944, let the cat out of the bag: “Japan was provoked into attacking the Americans at Pearl Harbor….  It is a travesty on history to ever say America was forced into the war.”

Emperor Hirohito has been falsely attacked for being responsible for the war.  In fact, he consistently urged peace by diplomacy and offered unprecedented concessions, including withdrawal of Japanese troops from China and Vietnam. (pp. xi-xii)

We pick up the story in the middle of chapter 15, “How the United States Became Involved in World War II.”

American public opinion in 1940-41 was bitterly opposed to involvement in another world war.  In a democracy, where free speech prevails, the voice of the people creates public opinion.  The percentage was reduced from 97 percent to approximately 85 percent when Hitler invaded Poland* due to massive consistent administration propaganda, remaining at that level until the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The question is often raised, what would have happened if we had not entered the war, that is, if there had been no Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor?  The question deserves a detailed answer.  I am convinced that we could have easily made a peace treaty with Japan in which she would have agreed to a mutually friendly withdrawal from China and Indochina in return for the right to trade with all nations in the Far East including the Philippines and the Dutch East Indies.

The extensive memoirs of Secretary of State Cordell Hull are a treasure-house of historical information, although naturally highly slanted in covering up his responsibility and that of FDR for the war ultimatum that caused not only the war with Japan, but also with Germany and Italy.  In referring to the war ultimatum it seems appropriate to have it preceded by the word “infamous,” derived from Roosevelt’s designation of the attack on Pearl Harbor as a date to live in infamy.

This epithet was acclaimed by all of us at the time and was repeated all over the world.  The full story of the infamous ultimatum will be related in detail in this chapter.  There never was, in the history of America, such trickery, deception and double-crossing of the American people.

The all-out war ultimatum, approved by FDR and presented to the Japanese ambassador [Kichisaburō] Nomuro [sic] on November 26, 1941, demanded that Japan withdraw all of its armed forces—army, navy, air force and even police—from China (Manchuria) and Indochina immediately.  Like cornered rats, the Japanese had no alternative than to fight.  If they hadn’t, their leaders would have had to commit suicide or be killed by their own people. (emphasis in original)

Hull’s memoirs do not even mention the crucial November 25 meeting at the White House.  According to [Secretary of War Henry] Stimson’s diary, the only question considered at this meeting was how to maneuver, incite and provoke Japan to fire the first shot.  The next day Secretary Hull scrapped the modus vivendi, or truce for ninety days (which had been acceptable to Japan), and handed Ambassador Nomuro the infamous war ultimatum.  It was not released until after Pearl Harbor, when it went unnoticed.  Very few of the American people ever even heard of the war ultimatum.  FDR, Secretary Hull, and Secretary Stimson were the main instigators but Secretary [of the Navy Frank] Knox, [Chief of Staff] General [George C.] Marshall and [Chief of Naval Operations] Admiral [Harold] Stark were lesser collaborators.  They all knew it would force the Japanese to attack immediately without warning.

It is only fair to the leading officers of the American armed forces to emphasize that even as late as November 26 they still counseled and cautioned against war.  On the morning of November 26 there was a meeting of the Army-Navy Joint Board at which Admiral [Royal] Ingersoll presented a series of arguments against precipitating a war.

Evidently the protest of the Army-Navy Joint Board had little effect on President Roosevelt and Secretary Hull.  So on that afternoon, Hull, representing the president, abandoned all thought of a truce with Japan and rejected any idea of compromise or conciliation.  With the full approval of FDR, he presented to Numuro the demand that the government of Japan withdraw all military, naval, air and police forces from China and Indochina.

Admiral Nomuro was accompanied by Saburo Kurusu, who had served as a consul in New York and had recently been the Japanese ambassador to Berlin.  He was married to an American girl, which gave him an added interest in maintaining friendly relations between Japan and the United States.  After he had read Hull’s proposals, Kurusu asked if this were the American answer to the Japanese request for a modus vivendi or truce.  Secretary Hull gave an evasive and virtually negative answer.  Kurusu replied that the secretary’s statement was “tantamount to meaning the end.”  It was obvious to Nomuro and Kurusu that this was a war ultimatum and that the next step would be war.

The undisputed fact is that even those Japanese militarists who had no love for the United States realized the tremendous potential strength of our country and wanted to avoid such a ruinous war if a peace with honor could be found.  They were willing to make unprecedented concessions and to accept virtually all our terms in the proposed modus vivendi, which included a ninety-day truce.  Secretary Hull for eight months had been stringing Ambassador Nomuro along, stalling for time to permit our army and navy to strengthen their defenses in the Philippines and in our other Far Eastern possessions.  Hull in his memoirs made it very clear that he was playing for time at the request of both the army and the navy.  His dilatory tactics finally became apparent to the Japanese cabinet, which set November 29 as the final day for ending negotiations.  Hull knew definitely that the showdown on peace or war had been reached through the intercepted Japanese messages to Nomuro, as we had broken the Japanese code.

Hull had been working on a modus vivendi which would not only have postponed the war, but might have averted an unwanted, unnecessary, costly and bloody war with Japan completely.  President Roosevelt received protests from Churchill and Chiang Kai-shek.  FDR’s administrative secretary, Lauchlin Currie, friendly to the Communists,** received an urgent cable from Owen Lattimore, another apologist for communism.  Lattimore had been appointed by Roosevelt as an adviser to Chiang Kai-shek.  Naturally Soviet Russia was opposed to any peace terms and favored war between the United States and Japan.

Churchill realized, as did Roosevelt, that if we became involved in war with Japan it would automatically bring us into war with Germany.  Consequently, the modus vivendi was scrapped.

Roosevelt used his tremendous presidential powers to deceive the American public and succeeded in keeping the existence of the war ultimatum a secret from everyone, including all members of Congress, until after Pearl Harbor.  It was a conspiracy of silence.  Later the administration refused to institute a nonpartisan, impartial court-martial of Admiral Kimmel and General Short, at their own request, to ascertain the true responsibility for the Pearl Harbor disaster.  It was denied by the Roosevelt administration because it would have exposed FDR’s ultimatum and likewise his responsibility for provoking the war secretly. (emphasis in original)

Although the Congress was totally ignored, and only a handful of Americans in the cabinet knew of the existence of the war ultimatum, Winston Churchill and the British high command were kept informed of every move.

FDR secretly maneuvered us into war.  The responsibility for the deadly blow to the U.S. navy was his, as well as the deaths of 3,000 American sailors at Pearl Harbor—America’s greatest naval defeat and disaster.

The tragic fact is that few Americans know about FDR’s ultimatum to Japan.  It is still America’s greatest and best-kept secret, part and parcel of the perpetuation of the Roosevelt myth, and the greatest cover-up in American history.  (pp. 135-139)

As the old sports cliché goes, records are made to be broken.  If Israel and our neocon-controlled leaders can maneuver us into World War III, then certainly the 9-11 cover-up can claim the new record as greatest in American history.  No one can deny that the United States plunged into the Middle East militarily because of that “second Pearl Harbor” that the people at the Project for a New American Century longed for so badly.

Hamilton Fish’s Publisher

As we saw from his introduction, Hamilton Fish was an important American politician.  He was also a very learned man who wrote well.  From the publisher’s blurb on the back, we learn that Fish was of a distinguished lineage:

Hamilton Fish was born in Garrison, New York, on 7 December 1888, the son of a Congressman, the grandson of a former governor of New York, U.S. senator, and secretary of state; and the great-grandson of a colonel in Washington’s army, who was an intimate friend of Lafayette and Alexander Hamilton.  He attended Saint Mark’s School, and was graduated from Harvard t the age of 20 with a degree cum laude in government and history.  he was also offered an appointment as an instructor of history at Harvard.

Mr. Fish was elected three times on the Progressive (“Bull Moose”) ticket to the New York Assembly, served as an officer in the 369th Negro infantry from New York in World War I in France, where he was decorated with the Silver Star and the French croix de guerre, and served in Congress from 1920 to 1945 as a Republican.

Ordinarily publishers would be clamoring for such a man’s writings.  But the subject of his book is not a popular one.  He had to settle for an equally unpopular publisher, the Institute for Historical Review (IHR).  Although there would seem to be a considerable mismatch in public repute between author and publisher, very much in favor of the former, it is the latter that sees fit to issue a disclaimer in the publisher’s blurb on the back:

The Institute for Historical Review is a non-profit, educational foundation dedicated to bringing history into accord with the facts.  We present this book as a valuable, first-hand account of corruption in high places, even though the author appears to support the now discredited notion of the “Holocaust” and was even involved in some of the initial U.S. moves to support the Israeli conquest and colonization of Palestine.  We publish this book in the interests of historical objectivity, in the knowledge that Revisionist scholars are able to distinguish first-hand experience from sentimentality.

At this point, reflecting upon our own experience with the IHR and upon the central point of our previous article, “The Pearl Harbor Betrayal and James Forrestal’s Death,” we must offer a quibble with Fish’s conclusion.  Pearl Harbor might still be our greatest secret, but it is not our best-kept one.  The Pearl Harbor subterfuge has been written about extensively, as noted by the Cockburn quote at the top of this article, but even IHR director, Mark Weber, has participated in keeping the truth about James Forrestal’s death away from the public.  When we emailed him the first installment of “Who Killed James Forrestal?” he responded curtly that he believed that Forrestal committed suicide, and that was that.  Undeterred, I later sent him Part 2, which incorporated the findings of the long-secret official investigation of Forrestal’s death.  He responded that he would look into the matter, but I have heard nothing from him, and, to my knowledge, he has written nothing on the subject.

Not only does the experience tell us a lot about best-kept secrets, it also, to my mind, tells us a lot about the IHR and its director.  Could it be that they are intentionally feckless, along the lines of the John Birch Society?

Hillary Clinton and the Amelia Earhart Cover-up

Hillary Clinton and the Amelia Earhart Cover-up

Review of Amelia Earhart: The Truth at Last by Mike Campbell

Chilling Awakening

Few things are more unsettling,

From experience I know,

Than to feel a building shaken

By quaking ground below.

But I’ve felt one discomfiture

Of almost comparable size,

Discovering that our “free” press

Purveys official lies.

Seventy-five years ago this summer America’s “First Lady of Flight,” Amelia Earhart, along with her navigator, Fred Noonan, disappeared—at least from public view—in their two-engine Lockheed Electra, NR 16020, somewhere in the South Pacific.  They were on an ambitious round-the-world flight from an east to west direction, and they had already completed a good part of it.   The voyage had begun in Burbank, California, on May 21, 1937.  The most dangerous leg of the journey was the 2,556-mile stretch from Lae, New Guinea, to tiny Howland Island, 1,900 miles southwest of Honolulu.  They were to arrive on July 2, but they never made it.  A massive search was launched involving seven ships and sixty-three aircraft of the U.S. military.  They searched 262,281 square miles of ocean for sixteen days and found nothing, not even an oil slick or a particle of debris.  The Japanese, who controlled the Marshall Islands to the north of Howland claimed that their seaplane tender, the Kamoi, was also involved in the search.  We learn from Campbell, though, that the claim, like so much we have been told about the Earhart disappearance, is not true.

The official conclusion is that the Electra, experiencing inexplicably poor radio communications with the Coast Guard vessel Itasca, which was supposed to guide her into Howland, ran out of fuel, crashed, and sank into the depths of the Pacific.  If the testimony of a veritable host of witnesses has any credibility at all, that claim is not true, either.  That is to say that it falls into the large and growing category of “official lie.”  It may not be the most important one, but it would be hard to find one that is more blatant or brazen.  Now, it would it appear that the latest variation of that lie has been bought into by no less an illustrious government personage than Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The first thing that one discovers when looking into the contrary eyewitness evidence related to the Earhart disappearance is that Campbell sits at the peak of a rather impressive pyramid of citizen evidence gatherers on the subject.  Beneath him on the pyramid, among others, are a number of veterans of the U.S. military.  Preeminent among them was the late Thomas E. Devine, author of the 1987 book, Eyewitness: The Amelia Earhart Incident.  Devine, a twenty-eight-year-old Army sergeant at the time, was among the troops who captured Saipan from the Japanese in July of 1944.  While on Saipan he had a life-changing experience.  He saw what he is certain was Amelia Earhart’s Lockheed Electra.  He wrote down the “NR 16020” written on the plane and remembers wondering what the “NR” meant.  He also witnessed the burning of the airplane upon the orders of American government officials in civilian clothes.  Devine died in 2003, but not before granting a short interview that can be seen on Rich Martini’s YouTube video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tDEsTQwBVk.  That is a clip from Martini’s film, “Eyewitness Accounts of What Happened to Amelia Earhart’s Plane.”

Mike Campbell worked as a writer while on active duty in the Navy and for the Department of Defense in a public affairs capacity until his retirement in 2008.  He collaborated with Devine on the 2002 book, With Our Own Eyes: Eyewitnesses to the Final Days of Amelia Earhart, and with his latest work shows himself to be more than capable of carrying Devine’s torch for truth.

An absolutely key character in verifying Devine’s claim that he saw Amelia Earhart’s airplane on Saipan, and he saw it burned, is Earskin J. Nabers (who went by his middle name of “Julious” as we see in the same video, filmed in May 2003, in which Devine appears). Nabers, who died in 2006, was ferreted out by Devine through a notice he placed in the spring 1992 issue of Follow Me, the official publication of the 2nd Marine Division Association, seeking “any of the Marines, who, during the invasion of Saipan, were placed on guard duty at Aslito Field, to guard a padlocked hangar containing Amelia Earhart’s airplane.”

Charles W. Voyles, a veteran from Memphis, Tennessee, saw the notice and wrote Devine about Nabers of Baldwyn, Mississippi, the new secretary of the Mississippi chapter of 2nd Division veterans.  Voyles had heard through the grapevine that Nabers had been “around the hangar at Aslito Field, which contained Amelia Earhart’s plane,” Voyles wrote to Devine.  Nabers, too, had seen the notice, but it took the letter from Devine and months of prodding by family and friends before he opened up and responded to Devine.

For anyone who might try to dismiss the numerous veterans and residents of Saipan and the Marshall Islands who have now come forward with first hand or very good second hand knowledge of Earhart’s capture by the Japanese, reading the various accounts we find in Campbell’s book shows the reticence of Nabers to be more the rule than the exception.  Jerrell H. Chatham of Avinger, Texas, is fairly typical, “All these years since my time in the Marines,” he wrote to Devine, “I have been afraid to say very much about this Amelia Earhart thing.”  Chatham and other military witnesses on Saipan had their “chilling awakening” long before this writer did.

What Nabers had to say, though, stands out in its importance.  He was the clerk who decoded the orders first to fly the plane and then to destroy it, and he heard it repeatedly explicitly identified as Amelia Earhart’s airplane.  He also witnessed the carrying out of the orders.

Crashed-and-sank proponents, who dismiss eyewitness accounts out of hand for the most specious of reasons, are invariably stopped in their tracks when confronted with Nabers’ report…

Nabers offered them nothing to reinterpret or deconstruct, because a Marine code clerk working in a high-security message center on Saipan could not possibly misread, misunderstand, or imagine a series of messages he received announcing the discovery of Earhart’s plane, followed by the plan to fly it, and finally, the order to destroy it.  Faced with the implacable nature of Nabers’ story, cynics have only two choices: to flatly accuse Nabers of lying, or to remain silent.  Realizing the former option would reveal their inherent dishonesty—or worse, their stupidity—they reluctantly choose to withdraw or to change the subject. (Campbell, pp. 237-238)

Before he had flushed out Nabers and the aforementioned Chatham, who reported seeing Earhart’s plane in the air on Saipan and being ordered to transport two crates that he was told contained the remains of Earhart and Noonan, Devine had concluded his 1987 Eyewitness book with a call for others to come forward with information.  That plea had attracted the attention of number of Saipan veterans, among whom was the other Marine who appears in the Martini video, Robert E. Wallack of Woodbridge, Connecticut.  Wallack, who died in 2008 at age 83, is very clear here in his recollection of the discovery of Amelia Earhart’s briefcase in a safe that he and some other Marines had blown open:

The contents were official-looking papers all concerning Amelia Earhart:  maps, permits and reports apparently pertaining to her around-the-world flight.  I wanted to retain this as a souvenir, but my Marine buddies insisted that it may be important and should be turned in.  I went down to the beach where I encountered a naval officer and told him of my discovery.  He gave me a receipt for the material, and stated that it would be returned to me if it were not important.  I have never seen the material since.

I wish to make a point here concerning the attaché case and the contents.  The case did not appear as if it had ever been immersed in water and the contents were not blurred at all.  Therefore these items could not have been obtained from a plane that had been reported down at sea some seven years prior to this event. (Campbell pp. 204-205)

Earlier Accounts of Earhart on Saipan

From 1944 when Saipan was captured to 1987 when Devine published his first book is quite a long time.  If Earhart, Noonan, and their airplane had all been on Saipan one would expect that some word of it would have come out even if the U.S. and Japanese governments wanted to suppress it.  Indeed it had, and very early, in 1944:

SAIPAN, July 8 (Delayed) (INS) – The mystery of what happened to Amelia Earhart, famous American aviatrix, popped up again today—this time on Saipan.  The discovery of an album filled with Amelia Earhart pictures here on this battle-torn island revived the search for an answer to the seven-year mystery of the fate of America’s number one woman flier.  Some marines reported finding the album filled with pictures of Amelia Earhart clothed in sport togs.  There were no other pictures in the album. (Campbell, p. 201)

That little item appeared in newspapers across the country, but it bore no byline and there was never a follow-up.

The next mention in the United States of Earhart in Saipan came was by an assistant English professor at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Captain Paul Briand, Jr., in his 1960 book, Daughter of the Sky: The Story of Amelia Earhart.  Josephine Blanco Akiyama, a Saipan native, had worked for a U.S. Navy dentist in Saipan and had told him of seeing, as an 11-year-old, Earhart and Noonan’s arrival in Tanapag Harbor in what she described as a crash landing.  The dentist had passed the story along to Briand, who interviewed Ms. Akiyama.

She saw the American woman standing next to a tall man wearing a short-sleeved sports shirt, and was surprised because the woman was not dressed as a woman usually dressed.  Instead of a dress, the American woman wore a man’s shirt and trousers; and instead of long hair, she wore her hair cut short, like a man.  The faces of the man and woman were white and drawn, as if they were sick.

The book received almost no attention, but in the meantime Ms. Akiyama had immigrated to San Mateo, California, and told her story to San Mateo Times reporter Linwood Day.  The article that Day wrote came to the attention of a newsman at KCBS radio in nearby San Francisco, Fred Goerner.  Goerner became a lifelong researcher of the case and his work in uncovering witnesses, highlighted in his 1966 book, The Search for Amelia Earhart, rivals that of Devine.  Goerner traveled to Saipan and found a number of witnesses who essentially corroborated Ms. Akiyama’s account of Earhart and Noonan being held captives there.  Well before Devine, Goerner with his book also caused a number of Saipan veterans to come forward and contact him concerning evidence of Earhart’s captivity that they had encountered there.  Campbell’s book is replete with many detailed accounts from both island natives and U.S. military veterans.

Crash in the Marshall Islands

Goerner’s greatest contribution, though, one gathers from Campbell, is his pursuit of evidence that the original crash site of Earhart’s Electra was not in Saipan but in the Marshall Islands some 800 miles to the north of Howland.  Saipan, after all, is almost due north of Earhart’s departure point and Howland Island is some 2,500 miles to the east northeast.  The Marshalls were also under control of the Japanese and it is more readily believable that Earhart could have ended up there, groping northward while thinking she had missed Howland to the south.

A key witness that Goerner discovered in the Marshalls was a Japanese medical corpsman who was sixteen years old at the time named Bilimon Amaron.  Though born in Japan, he spent most of his life in the Marshalls, where he became a prosperous businessman.  He said that in the summer of 1937 he was summoned to a Japanese tender ship to treat the minor injuries of an American man with dark hair and blue eyes, and a large silver plane with a broken-off wing was being pulled in a sling behind the ship.  Amaron can be heard after the 2 minute 50 second mark in the Rich Martini video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eS3p6KQyKhE.

A number of researchers have examined the Marshall Islands evidence through the years, perhaps the most important of whom was former Air Force C-47 pilot Vincent V. Loomis.  His 1985 book, Amelia Earhart: The Final Story was heavily praised in a review by Jeffrey Hart in the October 18, 1985, National Review.  Hart concluded flatly, “The mystery is a mystery no longer.”

Loomis and others have reached the conclusion that the vessel upon which Amaron treated the two American fliers was the “surveying” ship, the Koshu.  These researchers have also found many people who either corroborate Amaron’s story or saw the two Americans independently.  The following account refers to a 1997 trip to the Marshalls by researcher Bill Prymak.

During the Majuro-to-Honolulu leg of his flight back to the United States, Prymak met the most powerful man in the Marshalls, Robert Reimers, founder of a small empire of hotels, shopping centers, and commercial outlets in the islands.  Reimers, healthy and alert at eighty-eight, was forthcoming in answering Prymak’s questions about events before World War II, especially those about Earhart’s alleged presence in the islands.  Reimers said he knew Bilimon Amaron well, and vouched for his honesty.

“It was widely known throughout the islands by both Japanese and Marshallese that a Japanese fishing boat first found them and their airplane near Mili [Atoll],” Reimers told Prymak.  They then transferred them to a bigger boat.  They were brought to Jabor, where Bilimon treated them.  Oscar deBrum and the Carl Heine family…were living there and knew of this.  They were then taken to Kwajalein and from there to Truk and then Saipan.  There was no mystery…everybody knew it.”  Asked why the Japanese vehemently denied seeing Earhart and Noonan, Reimers replied, “Even in 1937, an intrusion into these islands was a very serious offense.  And in the case of Earhart, a woman pilot, great cover and secrecy was placed…by the Japanese.  But, of course, these are our islands.  And my people—even in their fear—proved very resourceful in knowing such things.” (Campbell, pp. 174-175)

The Reimers version of events, it would appear, is every bit as much the established truth in the Marshall Islands as the crashed-and-sank theory is the official truth in the United States.  So much is that the case that in 1987 the Marshallese government issued a set of four postage stamps commemorating Amelia Earhart’s unfortunate brush with the island.  One of the stamps is titled, “Crash Landing at Mili Atoll July 2, 1937” and another depicts the “Recovery of Electra by the Koshu.” (The stamps are available for purchase at cyberstamps.com.)

Forrestal Not on Saipan

Although they put out their 2002 book as a joint effort, Campbell parts company with Thomas Devine on another Devine article of faith besides the initial crash site of the Earhart airplane.  Devine went to his grave maintaining that he had seen Secretary of the Navy James Forrestal on Saipan directing the handling and final destruction of Earhart’s airplane.  Campbell has meticulously examined the record of Forrestal’s official movements and has concluded that there was no time for Forrestal to have traveled to Saipan and returned to Washington.  Rather, Campbell believes that the man Devine saw was alleged intelligence agent James H. Nichols, who faintly resembled Forrestal and who was identified by Nabers from photographs as the man he saw directing the Electra destruction operation on Saipan.

Devine’s belief that he saw Forrestal on Saipan is part and parcel with his theory as to why the Electra was destroyed and why Earhart’s captivity and death at the hands of the Japanese has been covered up.  Campbell, one gathers, believes that Devine has given his government too much credit.  From Devine’s perspective, the discovery of the airplane and other Earhart artifacts on Saipan was as much a surprise to his superiors as it was to him.  Devine correctly recognized Forrestal as an unusually farsighted and selfless statesman.  Forrestal, Devine thought, must have been looking ahead to the need for harmony with Japan after the war’s end, and he must have felt that news of what the Japanese had done to the popular Earhart would have jeopardized that goal.

Why the Cover-up?

With Forrestal not even on Saipan, that seriously strained theory is out the window.  Campbell is certain that from Forrestal’s position in the chain of command he knew about the cover-up, and like Devine, Campbell believes that Forrestal’s knowledge of what actually happened to Amelia Earhart was a factor in Forrestal’s almost certain murder.  But according to Campbell, the Earhart cover-up could only have been orchestrated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was a horse of an entirely different color from Forrestal.  Roosevelt, according to long-time New York Times Washington correspondent Turner Catledge, “was a consummate manipulator, a man who misled, deceived, lied outright when it was necessary to gain his ends.”  One of those ends, according to Hamilton Fish in FDR, The Other Side of the Coin: How We Were Tricked into World War II (1976) was “provoking and forcing Japan into war…by ruse, trickery, and deception—by hiding the truth as expertly as Lenin ever did.” (Fish, p. 10; the Catledge quote is from p. 11)

Drawing heavily upon the findings and theories of Goerner, who was granted unusual access to documents and government officials during the brief John Kennedy administration, Campbell suggests that the Earhart expedition was heavily tied up with Roosevelt’s preparation for war with Japan.  What remains in question is only the extent to which she knew that she was being used for that purpose.  She might have known quite a lot and the Japanese might well have been justified in regarding Earhart and Noonan as spies.

Goerner interviewed Margot DeCarie, Earhart’s former secretary, by phone at her home in North Hollywood, California, in the early 1960s.  Despite claiming that she had “promised secrecy” to an unknown party, DeCarrie gave Goerner plenty to consider.  “Do you really think Purdue University bought that plane for Amelia,” she asked, “and do you think that it was intended for some kind of vague experimentation?  Second, if the whole thing was a publicity stunt…why did the government assign some of its top experts to the flight…and why did President Roosevelt have an airfield built for her?” (Campbell, p. 331)

In the Goerner scenario, the highest echelons of the U.S. government knew all along that Earhart and Noonan had been captured by the Japanese.  Though his charge has never been substantiated, Goerner told reporters in 1967 “that ‘a most reliable source’ informed him recently the Navy intercepted Japanese messages at the time the fliers were lost which indicated they were in Japanese hands.”  It was a political bombshell that suggests we had already broken the Japanese codes in 1937 and that on account of that, we would have had prior knowledge of the Pearl Harbor attack.  It came 33 years before Robert Stinnett made the broken-code claim in his 2000 book, Day of Deceit: The Truth about FDR and Pearl Harbor, but Goerner was generally ignored.  This writer is of the opinion that if we were in the process of breaking the Japanese codes, listening in on how they dealt with Earhart would have provided an excellent opportunity to nail down the process more completely.

As an establishment newsman, Goerner at his most influential was able to gain some high level audiences for his discoveries and theories, including a number of Congressmen.  He made the following remarks before the National, State, and Relations Subcommittee of the Republican Platform Committee in Miami, Florida, on July 29, 1968:

It was well known within high ranking intelligence sources that Miss Earhart, at the time of her disappearance, was under government instructions to fly over and observe suspected Japanese military developments in the islands of the Pacific.  There were some serious blunders made by the Navy in their attempt to provide Miss Earhart with proper guidance following the completion of her observations and the Navy was determined to conceal their participation and failure of this part of the operation.  The concealment of errors is congenital with the armed services and particularly so in connection with any covert type of operation such as this was.  The mission was not specifically for the United States Navy, but rather was ordered at the request of the highest echelons of the government.  (Campbell, p. 331)

Goerner was later to back off his claim that Earhart had explicit orders to fly over Japanese territory and report her findings, but there is no better explanation for the obvious cover-up that has taken place than that the government had more to do with Earhart’s flight and knew more about her disappearance from the beginning than what they have told us.  Under the larger Goerner scenario from which he did not back off, the massive 16-day search operation for the missing plane would have been nothing but a gigantic sham, aimed primarily at deceiving the Japanese, because we knew all along that they had Earhart and Noonan in custody, but to let the world know would be to tip off the Japanese as to how we knew.  One can imagine FDR laughing up his sleeve at his cleverness.  Then with the sham threatened with exposure when Saipan was taken, Roosevelt’s only option, as he must have seen it, was to attempt to erase the evidence as fast as it appeared.

Continued Media Misdirection

According to Campbell, the contest between evidence revelation by independent, truth-seeking American citizens on the one hand and establishment erasure and misdirection on the other has continued—even intensified—with respect to the Earhart disappearance right up to the present day.  Through the years some of the eyewitness testimony has even made it into the national mainstream.  The very genuine Robert Wallack with his briefcase experience has been heard in 1990 on Unsolved Mysteries(along with Thomas Devine), in 1994 on CBS’s Eye to Eye with Connie Chung, and as late as 2006 in a special on Amelia Earhart on The National Geographic Channel’s Undercover History.  But the latter had the opportunity to use footage from the code clerk, Nabers, which would have really nailed down the story of the Electra destruction on Saipan, and they passed it up.

Now, in the summer seventy-five years after Earhart’s disappearance, the national media have devoted their entire attention to an expedition by one Ric Gillespie of an organization called TIGHAR (The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery) to the vicinity of Gardner Island (also known as Nikumaroro) in search of possible evidence of Earhart’s fate.  We learn from Campbell that his May 14 to June 14, 2010, expedition was his ninth such trip.

“Gillespie offers nothing but the assorted refuse he continuously and unsuccessfully tries to connect to the fliers or the Electra,” says Campbell, “but with a compliant, supportive media and a strong establishment wind at his back, he continues to receive untold hundreds of thousands of dollars from various donors, disclosed and undisclosed, for his serial expeditions to Nikumaroro.” (p. 382)

This time, much of the establishment wind has come from Hillary Clinton:

Why the US support for this effort? Well, for one thing, Clinton herself is something of an Earhart aficionado. She said that when she was growing up in Illinois her mother was an Earhart fan and filled her ears with stories of the aviatrix’s derring-do. This led Clinton to dream of herself becoming an astronaut – so she wrote NASA when she was 13 to ask whether she could qualify.

“NASA wrote me back and said there would not be any women astronauts. And I was just crestfallen,” she said in her speech.

A second reason for today’s government involvement is that the US government was heavily involved with Earhart’s effort in the first place, in part due to its demonstration of American skill and technology during the Great Depression. State Department personnel arranged for visas and safe conduct for Earhart and Noonan and helped shepherd them along the way. On the day she disappeared, a US Coast Guard cutter, the Itasca, was in position off Howland to aid in radio direction finding and resupply.  (The Christian Science Monitor, March 20, 2012.)

Hillary and Gillespie can be seen here being much ballyhooed on CNN.

If the 1937 search was a sham, in light of the massive eyewitness testimony brought forward in Campbell’s book, how much more obvious a sham is this repeated searching for Earhart’s plane by Gillespie under the glare of the U.S. news media!  And what an affront it is to those members of Tom Brokaw’s “greatest generation” who have had the courage to come forward and to tell us frankly what they saw with their own eyes!  When our leaders have no further use for them, it would appear, they really have no use for them.

As we survey what has been told to the public by the American press this year about the Earhart mystery, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, The Washington Post, andHuffington Post, the only hint we get that the latest Gillespie venture might be undermined by eyewitness testimony is found in the left-liberal online Daily Beast.  In The Daily Beast’s article, Earhart biographer Susan Butler praises Gillespie and disparages Goerner, echoing what she had to say in her 1997 book, East to the Dawn.  This is the same Susan Butler to whom Campbell devotes pages 392-411 and gives the section the title, “An Earhart Biographer’s Serial Misstatements.”

One gets the impression that Butler would have hardly written anything different had she been a paid propagandist for the Japanese military government.  “Would Butler have been so cavalier in advancing her unfounded allegations against Goerner, who passed away five years before East to the Dawn was published,” concludes Campbell, “had he been alive to defend himself?”

Don’t expect any of our mainstream press to be directing you to Campbell’s book, though.  If he is to be ignored, it will not be because the case he makes for the capture of Earhart and Noonan by the Japanese is too weak.  It will be because it is too strong.

Oh yes, we find in this little July 17 item in The New York Times that the latest big Pacific search that Hillary gave the big send-off to has come up empty handed.  What a surprise!

For Toxic Sake, Have A Stiff Drink Of Nuclear Hubris

Today I saw a report of a 5.8 quake that hit the east coast of Japan.  This quake was located 75 miles southeast of  the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.  There have been no reports of damage nor any tsunami risk.  I still am reminded of the March 11th quake that shook most of Japan with a violent 9.0  magnitude.   The resulting tsunami associated with this was horrific. This is the 5th largest recorded earthquake in history.

The videos that came out after this terrible disaster are some of the most amazing footage of destruction I have seen by nature.  I remember the week-end this happened very well and I have a very weird story about it.  This particular week-end is our “guys week-end” where 40-50 of us rednecks gather near the entrance of J.P. Coleman State Park near Indian creek in Tishomingo county  We get together for a 4-wheeler ride and three-day party.  I remember after the big cook out on the night of the 10th, a conversation struck up between Robert Ackerman and myself.  We were talking about what would happen if a major quake hit the New Madrid area close to Memphis, Tn.  The entire time I lived in Memphis the fear of such a quake was always in the back of my mind.  I only live 110 miles east of there now and that is still on my mind.  Robert and I talked for over an hour while others chimed in.  The destruction the Memphis area would take has been estimated to destroy the whole downtown riverfront.   We all finally went to bed that night.  I got up early as I do every year to go turkey hunting the next morning.  I happened to listen to the radio after an unsuccessful trip.  It came across the air wave of an earthquake and I just had caught the end of the story.   I stopped by my house on the way back to Indian creek and turned on the T.V.  There it was.  I have always been fascinated by earthquakes and actually it is more than just scared of them, it is a fear of mine.  It was all over the news and I couldn’t stop thinking about the previous nites topic.  We probably embellished the damage Memphis would take due to the George Dickel that was being guzzeld down as my splitting head was reminding me.  I watched the story for about an hour as I put away the hunting apparel and got ready for the days ride.  I caught Robert in the kitchen of the cabin we were staying at when I returned to the camp.  We just looked at each other and he said ” Be careful what you wish for”.  I don’t remember wishing for a quake but it was a weird feeling we both had and it shook our being to the core.

Explosion At Tepco Plant After Quake and Tsunami

Where this cabin is that we are gathered for this week-end is less than one mile from the Yellow Creek Nuclear plant site that was scrapped.  I often wondered if this Yellow Creek site had ever been completed what a large New Madrid quake might do to the plant.  It would have been built right on the TN river. Today the problem in Japan is as bad as ever and is getting worse.  I have heard reports of being 30cm from a China Syndrome event.   The area around the Fukushima plant is decimated.  People have long evacuated in a 50 mile radius or larger.  Around 43,000 residents have moved out of three Tohuku prefectures from March to November last year.  Iwate and Miyagi prefectures have seen 16,000 deaths and another 3,500 missing.  The deaths from radiation poisoning  in the future will be hard to calculate.  The damage to the environment and the ocean will be tremendous.

I named this post after the group on Facebook called “Toxic Sake, A Stiff Drink of Nuclear Hubris” that does a great job keeping up to date information on this disaster.  It also has some people who report readings as to radiation in the U.S.  I am not sure if Kristi Bruce started this group,  but I joined because she is a friend on FB and we were in the 4P group before I left.  I don’t guarantee all my facts as spot on and this is more to bring awareness on the 10 month anniversary of this terrible event.  It is another example when mother nature and mankind team up to do unheard  damage to human life and the planet.  This,  like all other stories of any relevant content have been swept under the rug by the MSM.

Exactly what went wrong

Did We All Just Get Hacked To Death By Israel?

I know you won’t hear much on Fukushima in the MSM, but the fact is that reactor #2 has a huge hole in its side and xenon has been measured in radical numbers, suggesting that fission has restarted. I don’t know, but I bet you a dollar to a donut that this poison has been constantly spewing and filling our atmosphere and oceans. And I would also venture to say that many of us will suffer from this disaster at some point.

As bad as it would be as an “accident”, what if there was something done on purpose. Or, not much better, what if a bug made by Israel/American covert hackers to cause Iran’s nuclear plant to have problems got loose and is now causing problems for the Japanese plants that use the same Siemens controllers?

I don’t know about you, but I put nothing past these murdering freaks.

Heretic Productions present: Mike Rivero’s Comments at whatreallyhappened.com

Israel

Here is a nightmare scenario for you.

1. Israel and the US create Stuxnet.

2. Stuxnet is deployed to wreck Iran’s nuclear power station.

3. But Stuxnet escapes from its intended target and spreads across Asia!

4. As the above article documents, Stuxnet was in Japan last October, presumably still spreading and intended to wreck nuclear power plants.

5. Stuxnet targets the Siemens controller

6. Fukushima uses the Seimens controllers Stuxnet was designed interfere with!

So now the difficulty the Fukushima nuclear plant operators faced in recovering control over their runaway reactors takes on a darker significance. Remember that the first problem following the quake was that the automated shutdown systems failed to operate at some of the reactors, because pumps failed and valves would not open even while running on batteries; the very sorts of mischief Stuxnet supposedly was designed to cause at Iran’s power station.

Did we all just get hacked to death by Israel?

2012 Was A Miscalculation: The End Of Our Civilization Is December 24, 2011

Has anyone else noticed all the uptick in earthquakes and volcanic activity? I mean, in all my life, I don’t remember hearing so much about earthquakes happening so frequently. Until I started following this stuff, I really didn’t think about frequency, or the average size of earthquakes. It was a weird phenomena that I had only experienced in a very minor way (firsthand), having been awakened from a nap in northeast Mississippi back in ’76 or ’77, and then had seen the damage (firsthand) in San Fransisco in the early 90′s. Sure, I saw TV coverage of those far away exotic destinations that were ‘stupid to build’ there, but it was sporadic and only when it was horrible.

So, maybe with technology advancements and access to the internet, I just have access to more info and all things are the same between then and now.

Yeah. Right.

The severity is “highly unusual” (at least the latest in Virginia).

I have been mentioning this here for the past several months (especially since Fukushima). Either I am brainwashed to believe there is an increase in frequency and magnitude, OR, it is really happening. Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments section.

Either way, I saw an interesting blog post containing an old “In search of…” video which tells us we ain’t got much time left.

Mr Spock informs us that the cataclysmic event is closer than we think (go to the segment starting at 4:27 or the direct quote at 4:45):

Click here to see the video

So, what if the 2012 date is wrong? What if we have but a few months left?

On December 24, 2011 a cataclysmic earthquake will terminate their cycle of  civilization

And did you catch this part?

“…And lead the people to create a world government

Personally, I really don’t know if there is going to be some event that ends our civilization, but from what I am seeing in the greed and desperate thievery going on, it would not surprise me that certain people know something is about to take place in a big way and are preparing to come out on top when it’s over. And to me, it also wouldn’t be a stretch that somehow, someway, there are those who have technology that causes some of this to happen on purpose (which would suggest that this is all scripted, even the Mayan prophecies). OK, ok. I may be pushing the envelope there. How about reports that it might have been a nuke in Virginia?

And think of this: its not like our own gubmint ain’t been planning for something bad.

I do know one thing: Friends of mine have told me they feel like something big is about to happen. One is suggesting that he feels like he is about to experience what he has felt much of his life… that he would experience the end of the world in his lifetime (and he is far from sort of religious nutcase holding an “end is nigh” sign).

I admit that I have this weird feeling of some major disruption and possible devastation coming to America, but that may just be the regular B’Man paranoia or something I am experiencing. As far as that matters, maybe I am imagining everything I discuss here? All is truly well and I am dreaming a nightmare… soon to wake up and laugh off such a silly thing.

Look. Does it matter if civilization is about to end? Really? Not in my life. No matter what happens, I will prepare in ways that I can feed, house and protect my family. If the civilization ends (which doesn’t mean that all life on earth is wiped out), and my family and I survive the initial event (earthquake, Elenin, Dollar collapse, tornado, nuke, etc) I will STILL do the best I can to feed, house and protect my family. What else is there? The fact is that in many ways, I am watching the current civilization dying a slow, painful death, anyway. Isn’t the “civilized” thing to do is to put it to a quick end and stop the suffering?

So bring it on. Then I will still be trying to feed, house and protect my family. Because the truth of the matter is that there really is nothing else.

Fukushima Disaster Is Now Far Worse Than Chernobyl Ever Was

graciously provided by DublinMick

I wonder what the clowns who kept saying to not worry or even those I once linked to who kept saying that people like me were over-reacting are saying now? I wonder if their narcissistic tendencies could ever allow them to acknowledge what a tool they are for not considering what has been overly apparent.

Fukushima is now far worse than Chernobyl ever was

Does it matter to those fools that both the American and Japanese governments have been lying thru their teeth at every opportunity? Did it ever occur to the fools who were screaming “Chicken Little” and suggesting that the very MSM they despise were playing it up, when the exact opposite was taking place? Does it matter to the nay-saying Richard Noggins that both governments are doing everything they can to change “acceptable levels”, pushing the idea that radioactive contamination is not only not a problem, but in some cases, good for us?

I have suspected the lies from the beginning. I have suggested that things are far worse than we will ever hear from the MSM sources. I knew that independent sources would soon find out the truth, because it IS so damned bad that even the most corrupt, money-grubbing sycophantic idiots would realize that their lives and families’ lives are at stake and would not be able to keep quiet forever.

The real question is, how bad will it be. If you read the natural News link above, you will see that the supposed “safe zone” of 12 miles is a hoax. You will learn that even up to 230 square miles, extremely unsafe levels are found. You will learn that Fukushima prefecture and a huge surrounding area within Japan is now a “dead zone”, much like atomic bomb test sites and that the real levels of contamination far exceed those of Chernobyl.

Over a month ago we were hearing from a few sources that death estimates would be far more than the sycophantic fools could ever dream of. Ethan Jacobs, J.D., of The Activist Post quoted several of these sources in his article, “Fukushima Radiation: A Soft-Kill Operation“:

Arnold Gunderson, a 39-year veteran of the nuclear industry, stated: “I absolutely disagree with the scientists who say that Fukushima’s not going to hurt anyone. The numbers I’ve seen, from reputable scientists, are that Fukushima is going to kill 200,000 from increased cancers over the next 50 years.”

Likewise, Dr. Christopher Busby, Scientific Secretary of the European Committee on Radiation Risk, states that 400,000 people will develop cancer within a 200 kilometer radius of Fukushima.  He believes that TEPCO and the Japanese government were criminally negligent for failing to inform the public of the true danger.

Natalia Manzurova, one of the few survivors among those directly involved in the Chernobyl clean-up, is an advocate for radiation victims.  Her advice for the Japanese people was to “run away as quickly as possible. Don’t wait.  Save yourself and don’t rely on the government because the government lies. They don’t want you to know the truth because the nuclear industry is so powerful.”

Nationally acclaimed neurosurgeon Russell Blaylock, M.D.stated with the Fukushima radiation hitting the United States, there is going to be a risk of increased cancer.

When we look at Chernobyl, most of West Germany was heavily contaminated. Norway, Sweden. Hungary was terribly contaminated. The radiation was taken up into the plants. The food was radioactive. They took the milk and turned it into cheese. The cheese was radioactive.
That’s the big danger, the crops in this country being contaminated, the milk in particular, with Strontium 90. That radiation is incorporated into the bones and stays for a lifetime.

On April 12th, Japan finally raised the Fukushima meltdown from a 5 to a 7, putting it on par with Chernobyl.  “A level 7 incident means a major release of radiation with a widespread health and environmental impact” according to the International Atomic Agency.  As we learned from Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, the actual amount of radiation-induced deaths and injuries dramatically exceed estimates.

And, to be honest (although I can’t prove it), it would not surprise me one bit to know that this is a “soft-kill” operation with a population reduction agenda.

But there may be several things people can do to fight what is sure to occur as time progresses. There are various chemicals and drugs available (supposedly) to assist. But what if there were a wholly natural substance that could help you? What if you could Fight Radiation Damage the Natural Way with Cannabis?

Meanwhile, In Fukushima… We Have The China Syndrome

Graciously provided by Dublin Mick

You Have Nothing To worry About. The China Syndrome was only a movie:

Possible effects of a catastrophic meltdown

The term “China Syndrome” refers to a possible result of a catastrophic meltdown of a nuclear reactor. Also called a loss of coolant accident, the scenario begins when something causes the coolant level in a reactor vessel to drop, uncovering part—or all—of the fuel element assemblies. Even if the nuclear chain reaction has been stopped through use of control rods or other devices, the fuel continues to produce significant residual heat for a number of days due to further decay of fission products. If not properly cooled, the fuel assemblies may soften and melt, falling to the bottom of the reactor vessel. There, without neutron-absorbing control rods to prevent it, nuclear fission could resume but, in the absence of a neutron moderator, might not. Regardless, without adequate cooling, the temperature of the molten fuel could increase to the point where it melts through the structures containing it. Although many feel the radioactive slag would stop at or before the underlying soil, such a series of events could release radioactive material into the atmosphere and ground, potentially causing damage to the local environment’s plant and animal life.

If you haven’t been paying attention, this thing is far worse than what “officials” are telling us. Its not just this crazy conspiracy theorist making stuff up, either. It is to a point now that we can no longer discount, by using the description above, it is clear that we do, in fact, have a China Syndrome event unfolding. Of course, the solution is a polyester circus tent.

Are you feeling safer now?

Radioactive Richard Noggins

Does it take an ignorant old redneck, like myself, to explain how stupid that the nay-sayers are regarding this disaster? I have deleted my feeds to some sites that I once considered information sources because they are STILL lying (either bald-face or due to ineptness and ignorance) about how bad this situation is. I personally think that many are little more than disinformation specialists, but you can make your own determination. You won’t find any more links to those pages from here, tho. I am cleaning house, slowly but surely.

It doesn’t take an expert to understand the seriousness of the Fukushima incident. One can be a person who has studied history, to understand that this was far worse than the media lets on. But for those ass-wipes that still minimize what is occurring, well, all I can say is that you deserve what you get for being so damned clueless AND, at the same time, jeopardizing your reader’s lives by not giving the full, if any, facts about this disaster.

This HAS been far worse than Chernobyl since the day that the MOX fuel pool blew, spewing Cesium and plutonium (and who knows what else) into the air. But the Noggins will STILL say that this isn’t as bad as Chernobyl, even tho now the officials are being forced to admit it. Some are even suggesting that we have NOTHING to worry about, but I say you are a fool if you are not concerned over this.

But sickness from the fallout is just the beginning. Japanese business is suffering (and so is American business that needs product made in Japan to build product here). We are set for a major worldwide financial crash and I expect that the dollar will crash sometime very soon. Then we will have to live with fall-out on top of that.

The fact is that they lie to you and have their ass-kissers ready, willing and able to perpetuate those lies, no matter what truth is available. Oh, and BTW, the officials didn’t tell you the truth initially because they didn’t want to “scare” you.

Nuclear Containment Breaches and The Plutonium That Is Good For Your Health

Plutonium is one of nature’s nastiest substances. As I offered before, “IF” these reactors were to go into meltdown and the clump of fuel melds together, the temperature will go high enough to cause problems (it is already suggested that a partial or full meltdown is occurring right now). Also note that the reactor #3 had a crane fall into it, which could have physically damaged the containment or spent rod pools, which, in either case, would release radioactive materials (including three forms of plutonium) into the area surrounding the reactor site. But there is nothing to worry about, is there?

Now, in spite of the Richard Noggins’ and their lack of rational thought, have you thought about what happens if this is NOT contained (or it takes months or years to contain)? Do you still believe that Americans have nothing to worry about? And you think this because you believe the government or the company (TEPCO) that is in charge of the media releases? Does it not cause you to wonder “why” all the sudden, that this disaster is hardly even being covered any more on MSM TV. Some Noggins suggest that the Japanese disaster was the sleight of hand to keep us from considering the Wisconsin issues or the Libyan invasion, but where are those people now that the entire focus is on Libya and OFF of Japan? You think that maybe it is because this is WORSE than Chernobyl, already?

Well, they lie, and maybe you should read the data provided by Jorge Stolfi of the State University of Campinas in Brazil (found at Zero Hedge) in which an excellent chronological breakdown of the disaster at reactors 1, 2 and 3 has been recorded.

I tend to consider the experts in the field like Michio Kaku in the video above or like Olivier Isnard from the French Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety, when he says that a partial meltdown has occurred.

But to be specific about how bad the plutonium is, read Washington Blog‘s latest post:

MSNBC reports that plutonium has been found in soil around the Fukushima plant:

The Tokyo Electric Power Co., which operates the plant, said it found three radioactive isotopes of plutonium — plutonium 238, 239 and 240 — in five locations outside the plant in soil tests on March 21-22.

NHK tv notes that a giant crane fell over and probably crushed spent fuel rods at in Fukushima reactor number 3, which contain a plutonium-uranium mix.

CNN points out:

Plutonium can be a serious health hazard if inhaled or ingested, but external exposure poses little health risk, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

As the Argonne National Laboratory notes:

Essentially all the plutonium on earth has been created within the past six decades by human activities involving fissionable materials.

***

Atmospheric testing of nuclear weapons, which ceased worldwide by 1980, generated most environmental plutonium. About 10,000 kg were released to the atmosphere during these tests.

Average plutonium levels in surface soil from fallout range from about 0.01 to 0.1 picocurie per gram (pCi/g).

Accidents and other releases from weapons production facilities have caused greater localized contamination.

So like radioactive cesium and iodide – which I discussed yesterday – plutonium doesn’t exist in nature in any significant quantity, and so “background radiation” is a meaningless concept.
Plutonium stays radioactive for a long time. Pu-238 has an 88-year half-life, Pu-239 has a 24,000-year half-life, and Pu-240 has a 6,500-year half life.

This stuff is nasty and using a comparison to “background” levels is foolish. Three really is NO such comparison:

There are, of course, naturally occurring radioactive materials.

But lumping all types of radiation together is misleading … and is comparing apples to oranges.

As the National Research Council’s Committee to Assess the Scientific Information for the Radiation Exposure Screening and Education Program explains:

Radioactivity generates radiation by emitting particles. Radioactive materials outside the the body are called external emitters, and radioactive materials located within the body are called internal emitters.

Internal emitters are much more dangerous than external emitters. Specifically, one is only exposed to radiation as long as he or she is near the external emitter.

For example, when you get an x-ray, an external emitter is turned on for an instant, and then switched back off.

But internal emitters steadily and continuously emit radiation for as long as the particle remains radioactive, or until the person dies – whichever occurs first. As such, they are much more dangerous.

We aren’t talking about “background” levels, anymore. We are talking about particles that float into air, water and food and can be ingested. This ain’t the sun or a brief XRay. This is stuff that gets in your body, then kills you. Once you consume this stuff, you are almost promised some sort of cancer.

And its not like you can see the stuff or have any idea that you are about to consume it. As TwelfthBough points out, this stuff is “minuscule“, “tiny” and “invisible“,  so we have absolutely NOTHING to worry about, right?

The problem with handling radiation is its invisibility. You really can’t tell you are being killed until it is years too late! You can’t run from it easily, hide from it unless you wear lead suits and you can’t smell it, either….Experts warned us that the #3 reactor was the most dangerous. The black smoking ruin here is what little is left of this reactor. This is the MOX one which was being refitted with plutonium. Wow. Isn’t this hideous? It looks like…Chernobyl! And it is. Totally Chernobyl. Each day, each reactor looks more and more ruined, more and more desolate. They look like a fast forward film of slow organic destruction over centuries only this is over days. With water being pumped in as fast as possible, they continue to devolve and collapse, the plutonium one, rather thoroughly and fastest of all. Just three days ago, it had this stream of steam coming out of just one small hole. Now, it is twisted wreckage. This was no ‘explosion’ but rather, the natural evolution of plutonium as it has a meltdown. …

Not exploding but simply pouring out that invisible force that acts so energetically on our genes.

BTW: those last few links show that this fallout is reaching Europe and Iceland and, of course, we are experiencing it here in America, as well.

Now how do we know that fission is occurring (meaning that the nuclear materials are interacting with each other in an uncontrolled way)? Besides the article above pointing out that the reactor #3 never had an explosion, but is simply melting down, you might want to read what the Japan Times tells us:

Radiation readings Saturday surpassed 1,000 millisieverts per hour on the surface of a puddle in the basement of the turbine building in reactor No. 2, according to data released Sunday by the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency.

The 2.9 billion becquerels of iodine-134 per cu. cm in the puddle indicates a reaction is occurring because it is 10 million times what you would see at a normal nuclear reactor, the agency said.

“The level of radiation is greater than 1,000 millisieverts. It is certain that it comes from atomic fission,” NISA’s Hidehiko Nishiyama told a news conference in the morning. “But we are not sure how it came from the reactor.”

If you believe that this is over or a non-newsworthy item, keep in mind that these types of disasters are never over. Just read and view the videos at Activist Post to see how the Chernobyl disaster is hardly over, then compare the Japanese fiasco to that (as some Richard Noggins did early on and insisted that this was nothing like it).

And, NO, there is zero amount of radiation that is good for you like this harlot suggests. As a matter of fact, this is far worse than any MSM TV sycophantic mouthpiece is allowed to say on air. Stephen Lendman has done an excellent job finding unbiases sources and offers the following in his post entitled, “Japan’s Leaking Water Radiation 100,000 Times Above Normal” (please visit and read the entire piece, but for a primer, see this):

On March 27, New York Times writers Hiroko Tabuchi and Keith Bradsher headlined, “Higher Levels of Radiation Found at Japan Reactor Plant,” saying:

“Japan’s troubled effort to contain the nuclear contamination crisis at its stricken (plant) suffered a setback on Sunday when alarmingly high radiation levels were discovered….raising new questions about how and when recovery workers could resume their tasks,” besides whether anything, in fact, can work.

In fact, high radiation readings mean fission likely restarted, “present(ing) the alarming possibility of an out-of-control reactor.”

On March 28, Reuters headlined, “Japan finds plutonium at stricken nuclear plant,” saying:

On March 11, after the earthquake/tsunami struck, traces of plutonium 238, 239 and 240 were found “in soil at five locations at the complex….”

According to TEPCO vice president Sakae Muto:

“It’s not at the level that’s harmful to human health.”

He lied.

NISA reported samples ranging from 0.18 – 0.54 becquerels per kg. Agency official Hidehiko Nishiyama said:

“While it’s not the level harmful to human health, I am not optimistic. This means the containment mechanism is being breached so I think the situation is worrisome.”

In fact, it’s catastrophic and extremely hazardous to human health at any level, environmental scientist Dr. Ilya Sandra Perlingieri explaining in her article headlined, “Fukushima Catastrophe: Radiation Exposure, Lies and Cover-up, saying:”

“The half-life of many radioactive elements is thousands of years. There is no safe level of exposure! (Claiming otherwise is) media hype and corporate lies. The plutonium fuel used at Fukushima Unit 3 reactor uses MOX (mixed oxide), a plutonium-uranium fuel mixture. A single milligram of MOX is 2-million times more deadly than enriched uranium….Plutonium-239 has a half-life of 24,000 years; and (for) Uranium-235 (it’s) 700-million years.”

Last week Hirose Takashi, a researcher at the Aomori Prefectural Industrial Research Institute and a man who has written extensively on nuclear power went on Japanese TV to point out the lies that are being told about the supposed safety of this radiation.

“They are saying stupid things like, why, we are exposed to radiation all the time in our daily life, we get radiation from outer space. But that’s one millisievert per year. A year has 365 days, a day has 24 hours; multiply 365 by 24, you get 8760. Multiply the 400 millisieverts by that, you get 3,500,000 the normal dose. You call that safe?”

Many are now expressing concern that the Japanese government’s moves to quietly raise legal radiation limits in a number of areas indicates a tacit acknowledgement that increased radiation exposure will continue to be a daily reality for residents of Japan for the foreseeable future.

On March 17th, the government raised the radiation exposure limits for emergency workers at the Fukushima plant from 100 millisieverts to 250 millisieverts.

h/t Corbettreport (James actually lives in Japan and has been following this quite closely, as you can imagine)

In Episode 179, James is also not afraid to examine the possible reasons for this happening, including looking into the Earth’s movements, the Sun’s influence, HAARP and other phenomena (there are several links provided above to help you investigate this for yourself):

Japan is just tallying up the damage from the devastating earthquake that struck off the northeast coast on March 11th, but it is clear that this was one of the most powerful earthquakes in modern Japanese history. Now, some are asking whether this was a natural earthquake or if it was precipitated by human activities. Join us this week as we go in search of a man-made fingerprint on the 3/11 earthquake.

I found the above examination into HAARP being the cause of this earthquake very informative. James points out the failures of his listeners to show how HAARP could be used to create earthquakes, but offered other interviews that suggest that the Def Dept may be using such a system to create weather phenomena, destruction of missiles, and other potential possibilities.

I am still not sure about any “tectonic warfare” or any military attack (or the feasibility of such), but I am open to learning more.

I am not convinced to whether or not HAARP caused this or other earthquakes of note (Chile, Haiti, China, New Zealand, etc). But if we have one sometime in the very near future in the New Madrid fault, after the government seems to be planning for such an event, then I may become a believer.

No matter what caused this situation, I hope that more people will understand the danger. As was recently added to a post here by Kaptinemo, this WILL cause problems:

With all the half-lives of the various elements (cesium, plutonium, etc.) being the sort that last anywhere from weeks to hundreds of years, and this stuff getting into the food chain in the open ocean, nations that are already highly dependent upon seafood for their daily protein staples are going to find this cataclysmic in more than just the immediate sense. Expect to see cancerous tumors on all manner of fish within a year or two, making them inedible. The ‘poop’ will wind up on the entire region’s dinner plates.

Essentially, with this catastrophe, Japan has placed the oceanic bread-basket at risk. The socio-economic (and therefore, political) ramifications for the entire Western North Pacific are dire, indeed. And given the ocean currents, we won’t be unaffected either.

WTF Thursday: How Will They Stop The Spewing Radiation?

Chicken Little Speaks

As I warned early in the week, this situation is far worse than we are being told. Little bits of information are released, however, that give us an indication to how bad it really is. I don’t intend to go over the various sources… if you are interested, you are already paying attention (if you ask, I’ll share many of my sources).

What I want to examine here is how to stop this disaster, if it can be stopped.

Basically we have a situation where the design of these reactors have a pool of water that keeps the spent fuel rods cool and in storage. This area is found in the same location of the reactors, but does not have the containment that the reactors do. It is basically a swamp to store the rods (which are still energetic and poisonous). Beyond being a stupid design flaw akin to storing a never-ending gas can next to a camp fire. It’s just a disaster waiting to happen.

Once these pools are depleted of water, these rods get very hot and can burn. Once this starts, the gamma radiation emitted is so strong that people cannot be near it without dying very quickly. People will not be able to point water nozzles at little holes and HOPE that they can refill the pool. Helicopters will not be able to fly over and drop water into these holes.

Of course, there are 4 reactors that also need water to cool them (and this doesn’t address the other reactors having issues or the possibility of another earthquake that could ensue as aftershocks). But if the gamma radiation is too high for humans to be there, how do you suppose that these reactors will be cooled? And if they are not cooled, what we will see is FOUR systems spewing this radiation in amounts that make Chernobyl pale in comparison.

Basically, it will grow until NOTHING will be able to stop it, save one potential.

Bear with me, for I haven’t heard this from any source, so it is only my speculation. The only way I see to stop such a thing is to either cover it with enough earth to help minimize the radiation OR set off a huge bomb (potentially a nuke) to try to destroy the camp fire altogether.

I cannot get a grasp of how they could ever get close enough or move enough dirt to actually cover it, so that leaves the bomb, which, of course has its own set of horrible consequences. It will blow the stuff into the atmosphere in tremendous amounts. But is the answer to allow these four systems and their pools to spew for MILLIONS of years?

Of course not. What they CANNOT do is allow this thing to spew indefinitely. To do so would be tantamount to allowing this to completely cover the Earth in radiation (at least the northern hemisphere).

If you have any suggestions, please add them. I’m all ears.

For the Richard Noggins, do you still insist that this is not worse than Chernobyl?

Optimists, Realists and Richard Noggins

I haven’t written much about the current situation in Japan. There is plenty of coverage on the many aspects of this disaster. But, being someone who tries to be educated and then prepared about certain situations, I have been following the various foreign news outlets, especially Japan‘s.

A nuclear crisis at the quake-hit Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant deepened Tuesday as fresh explosions occurred at the site and its operator said water in a pool storing spent nuclear fuel rods may be boiling, an ominous sign for the release of high-level radioactive materials from the fuel.

There is no doubt that those people are experiencing something dreadful and the outcome is far from over. Thousands are dead or missing from the earthquake and Tsunami. There are food shortages and fuel shortages. There are people desperately trying to get out of country.

And then there is the one issue that causes me some concern, which is the 4 nuclear reactors that have had explosions. Various sources, early on, quoted people saying that there is nothing to worry about (even to the Japanese people). I call these the “Optimists“. In most cases, these people have been shown to be wrong: plain and simple. Read the link and especially the comments to see what I mean.

To suggest that there is no reason for concern causes me to question a person’s thinking abilities or connection to the industry.

We also have “Realists” (someone like me), that sees the evident danger for the Japanese. I am also the type that thinks about the worst case scenario and how might I prepare my family for such. Being that I live relatively close to a few nuclear plants, I consider having some Potassium Iodide (in case something were to happen to one of these plants) as a preventative measure, a smart idea. It is cheap and could aid in survival, should the worst-case scenario happen.

I tune in to some American TV coverage, and when I hear from meteorologists that having your own is unnecessary and that the government will provide it should I need it, well, let me just say that I don’t trust a damn thing that the TV says, when it comes to my family’s health and welfare. If they do let someone on that speaks about the concern, that person is quickly shut off and not invited back. That, in and of itself, is more than curious.

Now, I don’t know what you think, but if four reactors have had explosions and various sources say that radiation is leaking (and reports now say that 2 more reactors are heating up), AND fires keep breaking out in reactors, AND the Japanese government is ever-expanding the zone around the site, AND the US Navy is moving its ships out of the radiation cloud, AND when a France news source suggests that the category is now a 6 out of 7 (instead of the first touted 4), AND the Japanese ministers are telling their people to stay indoors and protect themselves… it gives me reason to pause with concern for them.

But beyond the Japanese (of which I have many friends that I used to work with), I must think about the potential for great harm and the spread of radiation here to this country. As a realist, it is only prudent to consider the potential and if I think there is a possibility that the containment chambers do breach and/or the hokey way the keep the spent rods become a problem that could potentially cause massive amounts of radio-iodine to spew into the air, what the hell does it hurt to spend the $20 for a small amount of emotional well-being, not to mention perhaps saving my daughter’s life?

To some this is some sort of idiotic response. I call those that think that, Richard Noggin.

Now you might consider me a conspiracy nut and maybe even an alarmist, but I challenge anyone to buy some of the KI online. I am not the only person with this concern and I would hope that you have at least considered the possibility instead of sticking your head in the sand like Richard Noggins (dick heads) do. I am not suggesting that there aren’t other concerns, but to belittle people with this concern makes some people look quite callous, idiotic or evil.

This is an ongoing disaster and it is not any where near over or contained. Every day it gets worse. Why should I believe the Richard Noggins, when the progression proves them to be the fools they are?

The US Dollar’s Reign Is Nearing Its End And Oil Is A Major Player In Its Destruction

So, as my buddy Ed, at Not Another Conspiracy wrote today (and coincidentally as I told my wife early this morning, as well):

Better Fill That Gas Tank

But I believe this is just part and parcel of an even more encompassing plan for total world control by a very wealthy cabal of banksters and other elitists. To wit, there are many reports about other countries that have or will soon stop trading in US Dollars. As usual Washington’s Blog covers this issue very well. And I have been making the claim, as in yesterday’s post, that when this happens, the US Dollar is near its death knell (for, at some point, we will lose our power of being the world’s reserve currency… which is the only real thing keeping us as the world’s sole super power and Imperialistic Controller). This time is drawing very near.

You will find in the Washington’s Blog linked article above a 3 or 4 year timeline of events and the various countries that have taken steps to begin their refusal of using US Dollars (please go read the entire thing).

  • Venezuela and 12 other Latin American countries as well as Cuba
  • Many other countries

Dr Doug addressed this a bit this morning in a comment to today’s post here at B’mans and I wanted to point out that Japan (one country Doug points out) and many others are already on that list as you can see.

The world is pissed (how could anyone blame them, for they now know that there is absolutely no way they will ever get their money back, nor be able to recoup the loses as the dollar dies). This simply goes to show that this part of the plan is plainly underway and near fruition.

There is another “conspiracy theory” involved that says that the latest Middle East eruptions are being purposely driven and is, in fact, an instrumentally planned attack against foreign oil providers by “The Elite” (as Lindsey Williams describes in the following videos from an interview on Alex Jones show) that will culminate in a back stab of their deal made long ago to not drill our own oil here and to continue to purchase theirs.

I have written about “Pastor Williams” before and have admitted that his presentation bugs the piss out of me, but I cannot negate his statements, since he has been correct in virtually everything he says was told him by some of Big Oil’s elite (Ken Frum of ARCO being one). I also am somewhat suspicious of Alex Jones, but I do not focus on him, but those he interviews, then try to find associated evidence.

He suggests that this has been planned and working for decades and that the end game is the demise of the dollar. He suggests that when the oil reaches $200 per barrel, the oil companies will come in as America’s “saviors” and begin drilling oil that is said to be plentiful on American soil, but will keep the pricing around $150 – $200 per barrel (and we will thank them for that). However, he also tells us that this oil can be obtained for around $60/barrel, which means we will be paying ungodly profits to thieves (which is hardly something new).

In this case, tho, it will continue the downward spiral that is planned to culminate in a new world government, run with a new world currency. Whether or not you like AJ (or Lindsey), I advise you to watch the following two videos in their fullest to hear his story. Again, he has been correct thus far, so it isn’t easy for me to simply sweep away his opinion.

Alex welcomes back to the show Lindsey Williams, the pastor with an inside track to the elite who correctly predicted a significant rise in global oil prices and the collapse of the american currency.

h/t DProgram

On a side note, many of my friends on Facebook have been complaining about gas prices, electricity prices and food prices, but most can’t seem to connect the dots that the Federal Reserve’s money pumping scheme is a common denominator. But using oil pricing as a catalyst to speed the agenda’s ultimate goal of US Dollar destruction is also a factor I am trying to grasp and understand.

Adrian Salbuchi does connect some of the dots (and confirms some of Lindsey Williams claims). But I am open to dialogue from anyone here in this whole issue.

“From the point of view of the long term planning, of a power elite, a global power elite that is wrapping up globalization after 20 years because it has served most of its purpose and it’s ushering in a coming world government, in a coming world government you would need to, in a controlled manner, erode the relative power of nation-states. That is what I believe is happening now in America and also in North Africa.”

I want to know what you think about my theories. Am I off my rocker? Should we, as Americans, be pitching a fit about this?

Goodbye, Dollar: Hello Hell

China and Russia finally did it. They let the world know that they are telling the American Dollar to go to hell. They have had enough and even tho they also say it isn’t an attack on us, the end result will be horrific.

Chinese experts said the move reflected closer relations between Beijing and Moscow and is not aimed at challenging the dollar, but to protect their domestic economies.

“About trade settlement, we have decided to use our own currencies,” Putin said at a joint news conference with Wen in St. Petersburg.

The yuan has now started trading against the Russian rouble in the Chinese interbank market, while the renminbi will soon be allowed to trade against the rouble in Russia, Putin said.

To show what a slow-moving, but unstoppable tragedy this is, look back to July of 2009 to see where I mentioned the fact that India was questioning the Dollar as reserve currency (also pointing out that China and Russia were evaluating the dump, as well).

We already know that China and Russia are pushing for the same.

But now we have India, who is a huge trading ally (and military ally), questioning the US Dollar Dominance:

In Sept of 2009 I wrote:

The Dollar value thingy means so little to me personally because I don’t have any to worry about. But as a nation, we better be very concerned about what the next steps are after Iran drops the Dollar. It is only a matter of time before China, Russia and, yes, even Europe dumps it, as well.

It will be that moment that the true nightmare begins in this country. Why? Because we are unable to produce our way out of it since we have lost so much of our manufacturing base.

In June of 2009, I wrote:

But, after the next couple of days we will see the tide turn. When these people from Russia and China (bolstered by the other 4 member countries, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan), we will see them begin the one thing economists said couldn’t and wouldn’t happen: removing the US Dollar as the reserve currency. The reason why I believe this is going to happen is multi-fold: first, there are “observing” countries at this summit: namely,  Pakistan, India, Mongolia and Iran along with others trying to get in.

On Sept 26, 2009, I asked:

What if Japan, China, Russia, Iran (and any host of other Asian or Middle Eastern countries) say, “We have had enough of America’s bullying and world domination.”? What if these countries decide that America IS too big and that she needs to be taken down a notch (financially or militarily)? Please do not think that American Exceptional-ism will save our collective asses. It won’t.

In Feb of this year, I wrote about China started selling off its US Securities, which was the first real effort to rid itself of America’s dominance (under the guise of punishing us for our cozy relationship with Taiwan). That was one of the first “attacks” on our economic hegemony. In the same month I wrote about how they were beginning to purchase a shit load of gold, hedging against their Dollar investments. I also shared a video that I need to re-share:

The Creditor and the Plastic Duck Junkie

I wrote within that same blog post:

I have been warning about the consequences of the status quo and have said time and time again, we are on the precipice of disaster. I have gone so far to inquire of my economic friends, ways to purchase silver and/or gold coinage (just as a safety net when the SHTF). But until today, I have not been able to close the circle of logic to “how” the demise will take place, but the following video should shed much more light on the subject. Sure, thee are many variables, such as how will our military react or what false flag event can they muster to take us into war with China (and Russia, Iran and Venezuela, cause they will ban together to fight us… mark my words). But, from a financial standpoint, they have us by the short curlies.

I am no financial genius, but I read a tremendous amount about it. All I have is my thought process (erroneous or not) and I keep coming to the same logical conclusion: this is all orchestrated and being implemented to bring about a somewhat controlled demise of our currency. We are so over-indebted that there is no way that the bill could ever be paid. And the other countries know this. They are doing what they must to survive the doom that our great country brought upon the rest of the world. That being said, I guess as insouciant Americans, we deserve exactly what we get.
