But apparently there are certain powers (some might insist that it is “Jewish” powers) that have hijacked any semblence of free elections. Just look at what is said in a “prayer” and by whom… don’t forget to pay attention to the biggest applause getting lines of a “prayer”:

American sheople watched this on TV (h/t DProgram):
From a commenter at the above video: This a video of the death of the GOP. Now that the party is no longer conservative, constitutional, or supports freedom…….the true conservatives, who are not warmongers, dont support the mega bank criminals, the people on wall street and care about the rights of the citizen, will leave the GOP. Time for a political party that is not “owned” by the elites.
What a dreamer. For God’s sake, if they didn’t know this before now, they have no intellect or discernment.
Really, only the Ron Paul sycophants care. You would think that America would be pissed, but they aren’t. The truth is, that even if America cared about Grampa Ron and elected him, they would be ushering in the same old austerity that Romney/Ryan or Obama/Whomever will usher in. The problem is that the Paultards are too stupid to realize this.
Truly, the whole thing is a parody unto itself. Which brings me to what I wish really happened:
Jeb Bush Warns RNC Attendees Of Bad Cialis Going Around Parking Lot
TAMPA, FL—According to sources on the floor of the Republican National Convention, former Florida governor Jeb Bush made his way through the crowd Wednesday afternoon to spread the word about a bad batch of Cialis that some guys were trying to sell out in the parking lot. “Don’t waste your money on any of that stuff they’re hawking out there,” said Bush, who reportedly took John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Newt Gingrich aside to emphasize that the pills were “really weak shit.” “You get your hopes up. You think, ‘Wow, $35 Cialis?’ But it’s bunk. If you want the good stuff, you gotta pay for it.” At press time, Bush was again making the rounds to inform everyone the Levitra he had acquired from a guy backstage had turned out to be “absolutely primo.”
BREAKING: John McCain Just Blew His Brains Out During RNC Speech
Senator Had Been Depressed About Current State Of GOP, Career
TAMPA, FL—Republican National Convention officials are confirming that John McCain, the five-term senator from Arizona and former presidential nominee, has just shot and killed himself during his address to GOP delegates.
McCain—who at various points during his speech seemed out of sorts and apparently went off prompter to ask the assembled crowd, “What has this party become? What have I become?”—reportedly pulled out a .22-caliber Magnum revolver from his jacket pocket, held it to his head, stared unblinkingly at the crowd, and pulled the trigger, sending frightened attendees into a chaotic frenzy and his own limp body to the ground…

Grampa Numbnuts opened his mouth again and called America first Patriot, James Morris, a jerk for asking about why there was a cover-up on the murderous attack Israel made on our own service members aboard the USS Liberty.
I believe it is evident who the hero and who the traitor is. But isn’t it the epitome of hypocrisy for that old jerk to be calling others jerks?

Ya’ll know that most of the people I am trying to reach at this blog are the southern folk of America… my “homies”, or, better known as my “rednecks”. My rednecks have been duped for a long time by the Red State half of the bogus and false two party paradigm, hence why I first called this blog in 2007, BuelahMan’s Redstate Revolt. I thought that if I could just awaken my fellow necks from their brainwashing by that corrupt reTHUGlican Party, I might be able to help make change. I quickly saw that the demoRATs were as bad if not worse, because they lie with every breath. The THUGs just strong arm and lie boldly. dems lie with every breath, but try to show that they can “feel our pain”.
I started revolting from the system long before any of this came into a congealed thought within my head. As a matter of fact, I knew something was horribly wrong very early on, but didn’t understand the depth of the corruption or the stranglehold that the bogus two party system held over us. I was aware of Nixon and some of my first political awareness came about during the Watergate Affair and Nixon’s ouster. I knew that the next scumbag was never presidential material and felt the sooner that ass was voted out, the better. Then we got the peanut boy who lit up the southern folk (for at least one term), but quickly showed his Trilateral/Bilderberg Masters who he would serve (and it wasn’t the American people). I served in the Navy under RayGun (yes, B-Movie hero makes it big) and saw that he was losing his mind and others were running the show (secretly). I knew that his VP was an ex-CIA agent (and those people are never trustworthy… secrecy is untrustable). When Kennedy’s murderer became president, I saw that he made a mockery of our Constitution and had no qualms inventing reasons to begin the “New World Order” he kept blathering about. I knew that Bubba was a dick long before his was orally massaged in the Oval Office. I knew that Al Gore was a liar and W was no better, giving us no real choice. Same for Kerry. Same for Obama. Same for the Old Geezer who ran against Obama.
It has been overly evident that all of these people are liars of the highest order. They will tell the attending audience anything and everything they desire to hear, and in the next stump speech have no qualms about totally flip-flopping 180 degrees to another audience. They don’t give a damn if you realize it because they know that YOU don’t elect them… their Corporate Masters do.
So, I have been revolting against the system for quite some time, but silently, by and large. However, since 2007 and the next year when the total picture began to come out of its
blurry image, causing me to distance myself from ANY “party”, I have been verbal about it.
I had little success locally and in person (one person at a time is slow and painful). I thought that I could reach fellow “rednecks” to help them understand exactly what was ruling them and how they might thwart it. This is what BuelahMan’s Revolt is all about. Of course, anyone who is interested is invited to read, comment and join in with us, but I live in the Deep South and I see what happened first hand and some that don’t come from here may not fully understand the depth of the brainwashing.
To help counter this, I have assembled a list of blogs on the right hand side of some of the sites I frequent. You can easily see that all are not southern blogs, but we all have a similar mindset about openness and truth. Yes, some come and go (some quit blogging or in a couple of cases I have seen people become the very thing I was fighting, either Dem Party clowns or a THUG follower). When I see these “idiots” make that change and then harden it by attacking me to save face with their favorite sycophantic Big Blog (or TV personality, or in one case a religious nutcase who writes constantly in judgement of other Christians but cannot take a single question or word against his writings without attack), then I must take them off my blog roll. I will not illuminate ass-kissing sycophants, except to show who’s ass they are kissing.
So, recently I found another site that has struck my fancy (I have seen her around a good bit, but didn’t read her blog until lately). The owner/blogger is Noor and her blog is Snippits and Slappits. I just added her to the list on the right and I encourage you all to check her out and subscribe, should it strike your fancy.
I recently saw a post about revolting and she quoted Crane Brinton from “Anatomy Of A Revolution” and I wanted to share the few words which describe the common way a revolt happens (please go read the entire post):
discontent that affects nearly all social classes;widespread feelings of entrapment and despair;unfulfilled expectations;a unified solidarity in opposition to a tiny power elite;a refusal by scholars and thinkers to continue to defend the actions of the ruling class;an inability of government to respond to the basic needs of citizens;a steady loss of will within the power elite itself;defections from the inner circle;a crippling isolation that leaves the power elite without any allies or outside support;and, finally, a financial crisis.
It seems quite clear that this is almost exactly what has happened in America over the past few decades, quickening over the past 5 to 10 years.
More and more people are unhappy (they may not know precisely why); I see more people in total despair (young kids who don’t have many clothes or eat much); People like myself who have been working their entire lives to better themselves and their family, just to have it all demolished right before my eyes; people finally awakening and starting to get together to voice opposition to the very few ultra rich people who control our lives and the leaders of our government; we have seen the sycophants in mass who have protected the lies and deceit and have refused to use their platforms to help the poor folks; Government continually minimizing or totally erasing many public programs for the poor, all-the-while continually providing mega support for the ultra rich gamblers; The power brokers in government have stopped fighting for us and have basically (as a mass) been bought and paid for by these rich bastards; a few people finally coming out to tell us what really goes on in the power circles (we need many more of these); a huge mass of people are finally telling the rich to eat shit and die (OWS and other occupying campaigns); and is there any question that we are in a total financial meltdown???
Whatever it takes, I am glad if you are finally joining us ole rednecks! Welcome!

WhoWhatWhy lays it all out for you, but the synopsis is that Big Money had the last POTUS election gamed. Really, people, this is so very easy to understand by simply following the money:
Last August, the presidential press corps followed Barack Obama and his family to Martha’s Vineyard for their brief vacation. The coverage focused on summery fare-a visit to an ice cream parlor, the books the president had brought along. Nearly everyone mentioned his few rounds of golf, including his swing, and the enthusiasm of onlookers. What caught my eye, though, was the makeup of his foursome. The president was joined by an old friend from Chicago; a young aide; and Robert Wolf, Chairman and CEO, UBS Group Americas. In a decidedly incurious piece, a New York Times reporter made light of Wolf’s presence:
“The president has told friends that to truly relax he prefers golfing with young aides…But he departed from that pattern Monday when he invited a top campaign contributor, Robert Wolf, president of UBS Investment Bank, to join him for 18 holes. Call it donor maintenance.”Wolf, however, is hardly—as the Times suggested— just another donor. For one thing, he is a leading figure in an industry that almost brought down the entire financial system—and then was the recipient of astonishing government largesse. UBS, along with other banks, benefited directly from the backdoor bailout of the insurance giant AIG.
But UBS stands alone in one rather formidable respect—it was the defendant in the largest offshore tax evasion case in U.S. history, accused of helping wealthy Americans hide their income in secret offshore accounts. To settle a massive investigation, UBS forked over $780 million to the US treasury. This settlement came shortly before Wolf rounded out Obama’s golfing party. Given this rather problematical situation, why then would the President choose UBS’s Wolf of all people for this honor?
Wolf declined a request for an interview about his relationship with the President, so it was not possible to pose that question to him. This hardly matters, though, for the story goes far beyond Wolf and UBS. It involves Republicans as well as Democrats, the Bush Administration as well as Obama’s. More importantly, behind the trivialized golf outing on Martha’s Vineyard, lie the interests that increasingly set the course for every administration.
BOTH SIDES NOW
When most people criticize those aspects of government that seem most impervious to the democratic process, they cite the permanency and perceived self-interest of the mandarins of the Washington bureaucracy. But when it comes to real power, an ability to come out ahead no matter which party is in power, it’s hard to top certain financial institutions.
UBS is very much a part of that permanent government. Though not a household name in the United States, UBS is a major player in the Beltway game. During the 2008 campaign, while Robert Wolf was courting Democratic hopeful Obama, his UBS cohort, former Senator Phil Gramm, was working the other side of the street. As chairman of the Senate Banking Committee in the 1990s, Gramm, a corporate-friendly Texas Republican, played a key role in the deregulation of the banking industry, an act so central to the nation’s financial collapse. Since 2002, Gramm has been UBS Americas’ vice chairman. In 2008, he was the leading economics adviser for Obama’s opponent, John McCain— and even touted as a possible treasury secretary in a McCain administration.
The bottom line: UBS hedged its bets, and so had an inside track no matter which party took the White House. Thus, when Obama won, it was Wolf who ascended. The new president named the banker-donor to his White House Economic Advisory Board…
You see, my redneck friends, all you got to do is play both sides of the single headed monster and you win. What, no money to buy them off?
I had a discussion with a friend on Facebook last night and added more early this morning referencing the “faux” two party system and all the culprits that are a part of this division strategy (including Michael Moore). In this discussion with a friend, it occurred to me that he, along with many other Americans, are still hoodwinked into believing and perpetuating this bogus system. And this from a very smart man.
The argument, as always, is that Obama is better than Bush or McCain. And I asked him to explain how so.
In what reality can anyone say such a harebrained thing? Does it come from the reality I live and every other American lives? Or is the reality better based off of the innocent people being bombed to smithereens by the guy who mind-melded these people into thinking that he would change a damned thing and hence, brainwashed them into voting for the lessor of two evils?
So, what was the tactic of response to my issues? A grammar lesson. And a bit snidey one, at that.
Thanks, Jack. That tact was extremely telling.
He also told me that this is the way it is, insinuating that we should work within the system (and that I am so far removed that I can’t understand or see this). This is perfect for those who want us to continue the divide and plays right into their game… how convenient. The argument is, “well, no matter what you say, we HAVE a two party system and we must use it.” There is no, “we must CHANGE the system”. No. Work with what they give us to work with, right, Jack? Just do what they say and everything will work out.
Excuse me, but… Baaaaa.
But wait, there is more. Now, I am a hypocrite because I call Michael Moore on his capitulation to the Corporate Control of America by his endorsement of Obama just a few years after his vehement diatribes against that very two Party system I am railing against right here. And what was MM’s rationale. Obama is not McCain. Forget what I said kjust a couple of years ago. Now I am BACk to the bogus two party system I preached against and am now telling you, the lemmings of America, that you need to foget that shit from two years ago and trust me now.
Yeah. Right.
Now, because I call MM on his bullshit, I am the hypocrite. Fine. If so, then someone, anyone, show a damned link at this blog where I have written such a thing. Show me where I have changed or where I ever endorsed a party.
But, it would seem that MM can shift-change his position radically and that is acceptable. The comparison must be that I changed my mind from pancakes to eggs this morning. Yeah, I’m the hypocrite.
Forgive me, people, for calling you a bunch of mindless lemmings who are just as much of America’s problem as these criminals YOU keep electing. It is because of YOU, the mindless sycophantic water carriers for your party of choice, that we are in the state of affairs we are in. It is because of YOU and your inability to break the chains of brain washing that have you so convinced that “this is the way” and we can’t change it. It is YOU who are holding America back. Get that through your thick skulls and wake the fuck up.
It causes me to question every smart person I come into contact with, for if someone who seems to have brains cannot rid themselves of this mind fuck, intelligence may not be their strongest suit.
I appreciate the grammar lessons, folks. really I do. But maybe, just maybe, there are a few more important details to attend to than the intentional diversion from the important points at hand.
On another note: has anyone from the south ever heard the expression “shift-changer”, referencing someone who changes their mind a lot? Is this just a southern expression? For some reason, this was a thorn in the teacher’s side.
What’s is your biggest reason why you didn’t vote for Barack Obama, redneck? Because he was black?
How about any of them (if you happened to be insightful enough to think outside the box and look at a third party)? Was there a key reason (or two) that decided it for you?
Where I live in SW TN, the majority of folks voted for McCain. Of those I spoke to, the vast majority said because of abortion (it may have been the black thing, but the majority didn’t admit it). You see, in the minds of most of us rednecks, we are more apt to focus on that shiny little object that the people who run shit use to distract us and wedge us against each other… all so that we don’t see the truth. There may be other distractions, but I would say that this is one HUGE wedge issue that divides people.
But, in the scheme of things, is THIS really the most pressing issue that makes a decision for a vote? This ONE issue?

Pope Benedict XVI recently told Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House and one of the most prominent abortion rights politicians in America, that she must reject abortion and become anti-abortion. Unlike George W. Bush, Pelosi seemed to ignore that demand while still expressing pride in her religious heritage and “great joy” that she met Pope Benedict.
In 1960, JFK had to reassure US voter’s worries about the Pope having too much influence in American politics. Today, we have five US Supreme Court who are Catholic, very, very conservative and right wing. Things have changed.
This is not the first time that Benedict has intruded in American politics. Near the end of the 2004 Presidental campaign, the Vatican announced that no Catholic should vote for Kerry because he supported abortion. That statement came from Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith- formerly known as the Holy Office of the Inquisition. Yes, that Inquisition. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger became Pope Benedict XVI, referred to in the Vatican press as “the Pope’s enforcer” and “God’s rottweiler”. Some say he’s the ‘evil Pope’, some say he’s laid back, mild and humble. His shades and red patent leather Prada shoes belay that humble image.
Ratzinger was also in the Hitler Youth in 1941, as all 14 year old Germans were forced to do. There have been a lot of questions about Christianity and Naziism. They are important questions and observations. The belt buckles of the enlisted men in the German Army said “Gott mit uns”- God is with us. Germany has been a Christian country for centuries. There were Catholic Germans and Protestant Germans. The Protestant were much more traditionalist and militant. Then there was the German Christian Church, the Nazi’s own church with their imagery and ideology. Millions of Germans belonged to that church with its Nazi Protestantism. German Imperialism, fueled by Nazi power and Christianity, was on the move again. The Train was moving. Fascism, Christianity, Anti-Semitism, Capitalism plus a hatred of Bolshevikism and Communism were the engines on that Nazi Train. German Christianity would never be the same again.
It’s popular among Christian apologists to claim that Hitler and the Nazis were all consequences of atheism, secularism and liberalism. That wasn’t the reality. Hitler regularly proclaimed his faith in God; Nazi ideology was committed to supporting Christianity (on Nazi terms, of course). The actions of Hitler and the Nazis were about as “Christian” as the actions of people during the Crusades or the Inquisition. People can’t imagine Christians doing the horrible crimes of the Nazis, but it’s true. Hitler explicitly appealed to Christianity on a regular basis and that’s part of why he was so popular. He was most popular among conservative Christians seeking a restoration of “traditional values, Christian Nationalism, anti-communnism and anti-semitism”. Christians may not like acknowledging that Nazi actions had anything to do with Christianity, but Germany saw itself as a fundamentally Christian nation and millions of German Christians enthusiasticlly endorsed Hitler and the Nazi Party believing they showed both German and Christion ideals.
Fast forward to 2009. As far as abortion ideas (or culture war ideas), Pope Benedict has no special information; his views are just his opinion. When Benedict talks abortion, he means that life begins at conception. It’s a very political viewpoint. The Biblical view of when life begins, birth or conception, seems to favor birth.
The Bible often identifies life with ‘breath”, (Gen. 2:7) suggesting that life begins at birth, not conception. In Job 33:4 it states: “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Ezekiel 37: 1-14 suggests that which is consistent with Genesis 2:7. Adam did not become a “living soul” until the “breath of life” entered his nostrils, after his body was formed. There are other examples, Joshua 10:40, 1 Kings 15:29 and many otheres where “breath” is treated as a synonym for “life”. In Biblical terms, it seems clear that life begins at birth, not conception.
Jewish law and Jewish Biblical scholars traditionally consider that life begins at birth. That’s good enough for me.
If life begins at birth, then there can be no death or killing of a human being. Life begins when a human being first draws a breath outside of Mom’s body. Until then, it’s just a Potential inside Mom and definitely not separate.
In my opinion, right wing views of abortion are really not about “saving a baby from death”. They’re about demonizing liberals and their worldview. The debate is framed and made to seem that liberals actively seek abortions as a means of birth control. Liberal mothers are shown as the type of mother who would kill her own children for convenience. Right wingers say this shows what kind of people liberals are; the liberal agenda is corrupt, their viewpoints are rediculous and they should never have any political power because they would destroy America from within with loose morals, ethics and decay. Right wingers and conservatives actually believe this.
Oh, what an argument liberals and conservatives have about when life begins. It goes on and is usually a right wing smoke screen to cover their grab for power.
Pope Benedict should go out into the sunshine and look at his passport to see his Birth Date. It’s just like all the passports in the world; there is a birth date, not a date of conception. Everyone marks their life by date of birth, not date of conception. Everyone. Imagine what this says about abortion.
Belief that a human being then exists at the moment of conception is a faith, a wishful thinking, definitely not backed up by the Department of Licensing or the Passport Office. I like it that way.
Funny stuff (thanks Lynda),
But the truth is that Obama should win this by a landslide.
It takes a certain idiocy to equate John McCain with Barack Obama on many issues (altho I am quick to point all of them out). When they set us up for the choice of two evils, one is far worse than the other.
If Obama doesn’t win this election, it is rigged.
Period.
Hope you vote today.
I am shortly and for Nader.
Tennessee (and all other red states) will be a victory for McCain so there is no reason to be worried about your vote losing it for Obama.
Vote your conscience. Vote your desires. Vote for a real American hero.
Vote Nader to prove something. To prove you don’t have to be part of the system they force you into.
Sincerely,
The Loser of this election for Barack Obama,
Ray F.
Whew! All you people are so ready for a new president that you will forget anything these people said or did just so you can get rid of W. But the truth is that W is like Obama in several ways, especially in War Mongering. Obama, too, likes to protect the Big Telecom folks from being held accountable for their law-breaking (my o my, just like Georgie).
Need a little illegal bombing of a sovereign country, hell, don’t wait for Mr Obama to bomb Pakistan and Syria, just let the pre-Obama W presidency do it for you.
Hell, there is no sense in holding the W cabal accountable for anything it did, which conveniently makes it easier for W-Lite (Obama) to continue the illegal activities that will cause the total demise of our country.
No, people who are bamboozled by Barack. he isn’t much better than W. They are all the same and you have fallen for the lies and bullshit. You will be devastated in about 2 years when you realize that you believed the bullshit. But, I will not forget the idiotic ass-sniffing you did to Mr Obama. I will not forget it was YOU who fucked us.
From Ed at Not Another CONspiracy:
Bush obligingly initiated Obama’s bombing campaign on Pakistan. The three of them colluded on the recent wealth transfer (about $840 billion) from the American people to Wall St.
The 24 hr/7 days/wk media Wurlitzer distracts us from looking at these white elephants too closely. The circus is so loud and visually entraining that it hides the deeper structure of society. The U.S. is a military dictatorship with scientific public relations. Part of this scientific PR is the careful cultivation of and trumpeting of America’s democratic trappings. The important thing to remember is that McCain and Obama were carefully vetted by the moneyed rulers and this is not particularly a secret. It’s called “campaign contributions”. After that, we the people get to choose from two approved candidates.
The fix is in. McCain’s a patsy. Obama’s repeatedly been anointed sovereign on the cover of Time (That’s of Time-Warner, the media conglomerate he won’t break up.)
There’s no left to speak of in the US. There are material reasons for this- weak unions, few strikes. (The reasons why unions are weak are beyond the scope of this discussion.) So left-wing stars like Ralph Nader and Amy Goodman are tethered to nothing, like bloated Macy parade balloons that have floated up and become more bloated. So their efforts, however well-intentioned, don’t have force behind them and are sometimes completely ineffective.
The Society of the Spectacle meets the neo-totalitarian total information awareness society. The state has technology for and has commandeered the resources to spy upon everyone with 16 or 18 “intelligence” agencies and control us as much as possible with the media of five corporations that are pretty well unified as to how and how much the populace is “informed”. On the other hand, the populace is atomized (deprived of meaningful ties to others); the only major non corporate-government institutions are the cooptable churches.
The handsome prince and his foil, the wicked, but comely, queen. They’re comic book superheroes- perfect for TV, the key instrument of oppression and ignorance. (Notice the immense effort to make sure everybody has digital TV by next Feb. I wish they cared that much to give water to our brethren in New Orleans.)
Barack Obama and Sarah Palin are too good to be true:
Barack Obama- that name is foreign beyond foreign, mother a hippy who had a black’s child, an actual African (gasp). This sounds as scary to many whites as the orchestrated excesses of the police state such as the Daarth Vader outfitted police with their North Korea style truncheons at the Republican convention seem to anxious liberals and righteous activists.
Sarah Palin – superhero mom, she’ll serve milk and cookies for you while on the way to running and ruining the world. She’s not regular pro-gun, church, etc. She is the cartoon version- actually shoots wolves from helicopters; associates with, to put it a little too politely, “white nationalists”.
This dichotomy serves only the rulers. What the vast majority on both sides need are exactly the same things: peace, economic relief, and freedom from the intrusive state.
Divide and conquer. The rulers have been promoting race war as a counter to class struggle since the 1600s. They are very good at it.
After the election the economy may get still worse and there will be further military adventures. As things unravel the game will be: blame the Black guy. This process has already started.
As far as U.S. military planners go, the election cycle and the public’s feelings are only a factor in determining the timing and announcement of aggressive actions, kind of like taking into account the weather for an optimal time for the Normandy landing in WW2.
It’s a military dictatorship with Handsome Presidents. The election is a joke, but more importantly, a waste of the people’s time (except, perhaps some local races). Get over it. Think and find effective ways to rebel.

George W. Bush had to react when a U.S. military surveillance aircraft was forced down in China and its crew detained for 11 days. The episode started as an accident, but Beijing used it to measure a new executive with scant international experience. In 1993 Bill Clinton was blindsided by the “Blackhawk Down” firefight in Mogadishu. After 18 U.S. soldiers were killed in an ambush, he abruptly withdrew U.S. forces from Somalia — and taught Osama bin Laden not to fear American power.White House agenda. Condoleezza Rice might want to say. The State Department‘s efforts over the past year to negotiate the nuclear disarmament of that charter “axis of evil” member has deteriorated into something very like the status quo the Bush administration repudiated when it first took office. In exchange for not restarting its bomb production line, the regime of Kim Jong Il extracts bribes, like its recent removal from State’s list of terrorism sponsors. Obama (or McCain) team flinch? Not just in Pyongyang but in Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo, any such probe will be minutely observed. Iranian Revolutionary Guard — in Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and southern Iraq and on the Persian Gulf — have been almost eerily quiet. But they’ve not been abandoned. On the contrary, Israeli sources say long- and short-range missiles are pouring into Lebanon, despite a U.N. ban on arms deliveries to Hezbollah. Since a cease-fire began in late June, Hamas has imported through tunnels from Egypt an estimated 20 tons of explosives; dozens of anti-tank missiles; and tons of metal, fertilizer and chemicals used to build the rockets aimed at Israeli cities. U.S. officials say the camps in Iran where the Guard trains “special groups” for attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq are still busy. Binyamin Netanyahu. It will be preparing for its own presidential election, in which Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — health permitting — will seek reelection. Will the Guard — the most hard-line of Iran’s competing factions — judge that a flare-up in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq or the Persian Gulf is the best way to intimidate the new U.S. and Israeli leaders, undermine any move toward negotiations with Washington by Iranian doves, and bolster the campaign of Guard patron Ahmadinejad? Though Iranian moves are always hard to predict, that one would not be a surprise. Hugo Chávez, who need a Yanqui enemy, and small Eurasian countries such as Georgia, which need a U.S. shield against Russia. There are the Russians themselves — who measure their country’s power by its ability to thwart American initiatives. University of Maryland. One way to do that is to create a crisis — for example, a collapse of the Palestinian Authority or an Israeli strike on Gaza. Another is a positive surprise — maybe, an agreement by Hamas to a referendum on whether to accept a two-state solution. Either way, if the next president does not soon call on the Middle East, it will find a way to call him.
Of course Joe Biden is right — there will be an early international crisis to test the new president. There almost always is. In April 2001 — long before Sept. 11 —
Chances are the next administration’s first test will be a surprise. Yet some probes are predictable. For the past few months several familiar U.S. adversaries have been waiting out the Bush administration while painstakingly setting up traps they can spring on the incoming president. A few other actors are thinking about the ways they can get their problems onto what will be, from inauguration day on, an impossibly busy

And then there are the Israelis and Palestinians. At the annual Weinberg conference of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in September, two senior surrogates for the McCain and Obama campaigns agreed on one large point: that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would rank far down the new president’s list of priorities. Don’t bet on it. “Both the Israelis and the Palestinians will want to elevate their issues on the agenda,” says Shibley Telhami, a Middle East scholar at the
Is this story at World Prout Assembly true? I dunno. But I would bet that it is certainly within his character to do everything that is stated here. This account basically expresses what I have felt about McCain for quite some time. If nothing else, read it and determine for yourself, if this is something that John McCain would do.

World Prout Assembly
Nov 2, 2008
This shocking account was written by Ana Dubey, who has a PhD in psychology and has a private practice in San Francisco. Ana’s husband is currently a Managing Director of a private equity firm in the Bay Area. Ana and her husband are not political activists and don’t have any personal ax to grind. In fact, in writing this account of her experience with John McCain, Ana is acting outside of her own economic self-interest as she and her husband are among the top 3-5% of our population who would benefit from the McCain tax/economic policies.
It was just before John McCain’s last run at the presidential nomination in 2000 that my husband and I vacationed in Turtle Island in Fiji with John McCain, Cindy, and their children, including Bridget (their adopted Bangladeshi child).
It was not our intention, but it was our misfortune to be in close quarters with John McCain for almost a week, since Turtle Island has a small number of bungalows and their focus on communal meals force all vacationers who are there at the same time to get to know each other intimately. He arrived at our first group meal and started reading quotes from a pile of William Faulkner books with a forest of Post-Its sticking out of them. As an English Literature major myself, my first thought was “if he likes this so much, why hasn’t he memorized any of this yet?” I soon realized that McCain actually thought we had come on vacation to be a volunteer audience for his “readings” which then became a regular part of each meal. Out of politeness, none of the vacationers initially protested at this intrusion into their blissful holiday, but people’s buttons definitely got pushed as the readings continued day after day.
Unfortunately this was not his only contribution to our mealtime entertainment. He waxed on during one meal about how Indo-Chine women had the best figures and that our American corn-fed women just couldn’t meet up to this standard. He also made it a point that all of us should stop Cindy from having dessert as her weight was too high and made a few comments to Amy, the 25 year old wife of the honeymooning couple from Nebraska that she should eat less as she needed to lose weight. McCain’s appreciation of the beauty of Asian women was so great that David the American economist had to move his Thai wife to the other side of the table from McCain as McCain kept aggressively flirting with and touching her.
Needless to say I was irritated at his large ego and his rude behavior towards his wife and other women, but decided he must have some redeeming qualities as he had adopted a handicapped child from Bangladesh. I asked him about this one day, and his response was shocking: “Oh, that was Cindy’s idea – I didn’t have anything to do with it. She just went and adopted this thing without even asking me. You can’t imagine how people stare when I wheel this ugly, black thing around in a shopping cart in Arizona. No, it wasn’t my idea at all.”
I actively avoided McCain after that, but unfortunately one day he engaged me in a political discussion which soon got us on the topic of the active US bombing of Iraq at that time. I was shocked when he said, “If I was in charge, I would nuke Iraq to teach them a lesson.” Given McCain’s personal experience with the horrors of war, I had expected a more balanced point of view. I commented on the tragic consequences of the nuclear attacks on Japan during WWII – but no, he was not to be dissuaded. He went on to say that if it was up to him he would have dropped many more nuclear bombs on Japan. I rapidly extricated myself from this conversation as I could tell that his experience being tortured as a POW didn’t seem to have mellowed out his perspective, but rather had made him more aggressive and vengeful towards the world.
My final encounter with McCain was on the morning that he was leaving Turtle Island. Amy and I were happily eating pancakes when McCain arrived and told Amy that she shouldn’t be having pancakes because she needed to lose weight. Amy burst into tears at this abusive comment. I felt fiercely protective of Amy and immediately turned to McCain and told him to leave her alone. He became very angry and abusive towards me, and said, “Don’t you know who I am.” I looked him in the face and said, “Yes, you are the biggest asshole I have ever met” and headed back to my cabin. I am happy to say that later that day when I arrived at lunch I was given a standing ovation by all the guests for having stood up to McCain’s bullying.
Although I have shared my McCain story informally with friends, this is the first time I am making this public. I almost did so in 2000, when McCain first announced his bid for the Republican nomination, but it soon became apparent that George Bush was the shoo-in candidate and so I did not act then. However, now that there is a very real possibility that McCain could be elected as our next president, I feel it is my duty as an American citizen to share this story. I can’t imagine a more scary outcome for America than that this abusive, aggressive man should lead our nation. I have observed him in intimate surroundings as he really is, not how the media portrays him to be. If his attitudes toward women and his treatment of his own family are even a small indicator of his real personality, then I shudder to think what will happen to America were he to be elected as our President.
Think what you will about the insane old man who should never be president, this shit is funny…

Linked by Alternet, I read this blog post at Socialogical Images about a Palin Look-alike contest at a Nevada Strip Club. Funny and the ladies aren’t too bad.
There will be those who consider this sexist or whatever, but I believe all is fair in love and politics. The fact is that this woman has made her entire career using this very same sexual exploitation and you women know it. So don’t go there to defend her.
Speaking for myself, I do not think the woman is all that attractive. She is pretty, yes, but being attractive means more to me. Being “attractive” means that people want to be around or close to you. I wouldn’t spend 2 minutes with this maniac, Palin. And even if she isn’t a maniac, she is a calculating scurge that is simply playing a role that was thrust upon her. Her entire career, from what I have read has been nothing but lies and using other’s power and influence to go places (like the Governor’s mansion).
I am not fooled by it. I am not fooled into thinking that her hunting makes her anything special. An ability to shoot animals from a helicopter doesn’t show me anything attractive, but causes me to want to run the other way.
Yet, there are men who want to spend time with her (for whatever reason). I don’t get it, because I have had the luxury (if we could call it that) of spending ‘time’ with some of the most beautiful women around (there was a time I was considered a “catch”, myself) and what I inevitably found out is that they use whatever beauty they have to cover up shortfalls in other areas (usually intellect or passion).
To this old man, attractiveness is so much more than a pretty body and face. It is the actual desire to want to spend other, less physical time with the person that means more to me.
Grudge-f*cking is no longer a worthy goal for this old man. But it appears McBush has no qualms with it. Must be that 24 hour Levitra.
George Bush has shredded the Constitution; bankrupted the country; blackened our reputation as a people; and lied us into an illegal, immoral, self-destructive military operation in Iraq.
And he was never elected president.
Not in 2000. Not in 2004.
And the news media, Congress, and the Democratic Party have never even attempted to do anything about it.
If you’re living in America, that’s the kind of country you’re living in now.
It’s not a question of when or if we’ll lose our democracy, it’s been gone a long time. The only question is what we’re going to do to get it back.

I don’t believe it really matters which of the Big Two win, the result is basically the same. More military, more war, more Imperialism, more Big Money control. But, I also believe that this man that testified knows what he is talking about and that hsi story has been totally squashed.
That tells me that the Dems are complicit. If so, it truly doesn’t matter who wins next week.

Today lets respond to Noam Chomsky who talked with Paul Jay of the Real News Network recently, and among other things said that there was nothing wrong with voting for the lesser of two evils- especially if you live in a swing state.
Paul Jay framed the interview in the context of a recent quote by George Will who said- revealingly- that the question we settle in an election is not whether an elite shall rule but WHICH elite shall rule.
