Where Are The Rebels?

rebel_with_a_cause

I am a Rebel. Always have been. Seldom have I gone with the mainstream because I have my own opinion and desires. Nor am I afraid to speak about those opinions and desires. This is not to say that I am simply contrary just to be an asshole (although some of you may disagree). Its just that I learned a long time ago that if I don’t believe in myself, speak loudly about that belief, then I end up complacent and compliant to others with an agenda that is not conducive to my betterment.

What is a rebel (in a nutshell)?

A rebel stands up for what they believe in, no matter what anybody else says. They are independent, but enjoy socializing with like-minded people. A rebel is honest, speaking truth to power. They question everything until they know the truth. They must speak their mind, especially truth to power. Although they are strong-willed, they are able to learn and modify their perspective when truth is revealed. They don’t care what others think of them and do not conform to another politically correct viewpoint just to get along. They are what they are and are proud of it.

**FILE**The University of Mississippi has been disassociated for several years from the “Rebel” flag, shown being waved by Ole Miss fans at a 1995 football game at Oxford, Miss.. However, efforts last year by coaches to help change the state flag which bears the symbol within its borders failed in a statewide vote. Little if any fallout over the vote has affected the school’s recruiting efforts among black athletes. (AP Photo/Tannen Maury, File)

OleMissRebelsGrowing up in Mississippi, being a rebel meant many things, including being an Ole Miss fan. Colonel Reb was a favorite icon for the school (along with the Dixie flag). You could see thousands of those flags waved at a football game by all colors and creeds. Political correctness has changed all of that. The Rebels aren’t really rebellious any more (now they are “bears“, for Pete’s sake). The authorities of that school have caved to the few that demand their compliance (in spite of huge popular support of Col Reb).

In 2003, Colonel Reb was removed from the sidelines at Ole Miss athletic events as the on-the-field mascot[1] due to its racial connotations as a Confederate soldier or antebellum Southern plantation owner.[2] A contest was held in which fans were invited to design a replacement. The athletic department chose two finalists, Rebel Bruiser and Rowdy Rebel,[3] and invited fans to vote on their favorite. The limited fan response[3] prompted the administration to cancel the poll. Many still supported Colonel Reb as the school mascot.[2]

In 2010, Ole Miss students voted to choose a new mascot. The election did not allow the option of reinstating Colonel Reb as the official mascot of Ole Miss, in spite of sizable popular support..

(Believe me when I say that there are many pissed off Ole Miss Fans… they haven’t all fallen for the politically correct directives.)

We are seeing similar attempts to blur history with other political escapades in the south.

It seems to be the same all over the country.

Or is it?

civil-war-rebels

It appears that in some places, the rebel identity will not die. Maybe college football money whores fall to political correctness, but many southerners will not let it die (to the consternation of those who believe the lies). I tried to help people understand this rebellious nature in that article, by explaining my thoughts about the reason for secession and the fight that southerners took against Empire and Central government control.

But are we too mindless to see the organized, purposeful Psyop to Neuter The Rebel?

If you want to track a civilization as it collapses, watch what happens to the concept of the rebel.

On a profound level, mass shootings and assassinations (whether staged or not) are used to define the ever-present “lone assassin” as the REPRESENTATION AND THE SYMBOL OF WHAT THE INDEPENDENT INDIVIDUAL IS.

You’re a separate and distinct individual? An outsider? Watch out. Overnight, you could turn into a raging killer.

You happen to know an outsider, a loner? He’s dangerous. He doesn’t live by the rules the rest of us accept. He’s deranged. Stay away from him. Shun him. And if you see the slightest indication of (insert your own term here), report him to the authorities.

“See a rebel, say something,” to paraphrase the DHS motto.

Any human being who has courage, intelligence, eyes to see, and a determination to express his power in uncompromising terms can now be redefined as a potential threat to the stability of society—if he criticizes the prevailing Authority.

Jon goes on to explain how several historical events and media portrayals have been used isaac-likes-james-dean-rebel-without-a-causeto make the rebel a caricature… seeming like a loon or a joke. These powers deem rebels as crazies, haters, druggies, criminals, etc. Always a negative construct to counter the rebellious spirit. It is happening as we speak with too many willing participants ready to lie in regards to easily researched truths.

Strangely, there are those who try to take the mantle of the rebel because it is so well understood.Other “race rebels” like Cornel West, Al Sharpton and AC Wharton (and many others) find some limelight and jump on the chance to fuel the fires for whatever dubious motivation leads them and certainly not in pursuit of truth. Certain Jews try to steal the moniker when they have no real rebellious spirit to tell the entire truth. Even Latinos jump on the bandwagon.

Everyone wants a piece but they don’t seem to want white people to have any.

But what is really at the bottom of it all?

confederate-plates

DC Dave pointed out a Politico article entitled, “Why The Confederacy Lives: One hundred-fifty years after Appomattox, many Southerners still won’t give up“. The article discusses the Sons of Confederate Veterans’  argument in front of the Supreme Court for their right to have Texas Dixie flag vanity plates. It asks the question, why would anyone want to?

…displaying the Confederate flag in 2015 is an indicator of a complex and reactionary politics that is very much alive in America today. It is a politics that harks back to the South’s proud stand in the Civil War as a way of rallying opinion against the federal government—and against the country’s changing demographic, economic, and moral character, of which Washington is often seen as the malign author. Today’s understanding of the Confederacy by its supporters is thus neither nostalgia, nor mere heritage; rather Confederate sympathy in 2015 is a well-funded and active political movement…

This was one of my points in the Stars and Bars article. Even though heritage is a part of the brouhaha, it is mostly, in my opinion, a way to rebel against the tyranny of the centralized government which must be considered an Empire.  I wrote in the Stars and Bars article:

That flag is an image of rebellion against centralized government over-reaches and a representation of individual state’s rights. In my mind, it should be used to unite people of all colors and creeds to fight against the imperial power structure that dominates this planet.

08537047-4D83-4EF8-9EE2-6A006E6DD5FDState’s Rights are secondary to the Empire. The world’s rights are secondary to the Empire. Can you imagine the American people united with other nations, flying this flag in rebellion against this absolute power?

Its not just about a flag, but about what that flag represents, which is a symbol of revolution against Federal government activities that are not good for Americans (or the rest of the world). The politico article delves into this phenomena. It points out an upsurge in this sentiment of anti-Empire, anti-Federal government intrusion and policies. Just as I ask the questions of why this sentiment is becoming more popular (leading to all the demonization of white southerners we have seen in the media outlets and tainted politicians), Politico asks:

So what makes this Confederate politics so attractive? To adherents, today’s Confederate ideology exposes falsehoods in mainstream accounts of U.S. history and offers to reveal “the truth,” which has supposedly been suppressed by “East Coast elites” and “liberal academics” pandering to ethnic minority pressure. According to this narrative, the Civil War was not fought over slavery but rather because the Union and President Abraham Lincoln acted without regard for the Constitution to accumulate power. Confederate sympathy offers an ideology that explains why life in America is not what one expected it to be, why Spanish is increasingly heard in towns across the country, why despite working hard one never seems to get ahead, why African Americans have recently occupied highly visible leadership positions as attorney general, secretary of state and, of course, president. It is a politics of victimization, a sentiment that political correctness and anti-discrimination laws constrain right-thinking and hard-working people, and that for 150 years America has strayed from its preordained and righteous path.

Maybe not quite so eloquently done, I examine every one of those issues. I ask constantly in this blog, how these things can occur with the majority of Americans either agreeing or just staying silent, especially when the truth is so obvious. It is why I am so verbal about saving the heritage and asking others of all colors and creeds to join in. Don’t let the liars and mainstream media whores fool you. This movement isn’t about slavery (I am personally appalled by the idea, nor did my ancestors who fought and died for this country ever participate in it). It is about being rebels against rulers who could not give a damn about you.

Over the past few weeks I have linked many of these obvious power grabs and misdirections together. The gay marriage thing. The Trans thing (linking those to the next progression of even more uncivilized, unacceptable debauchery). The Charleston thing. The Flag thing. The race war thing. The vilifying of white people thing.  It is all intermingled. It is all planned. It is all meant to make white people (especially southerners) less influential and to be the “bad guys”.

But it will backfire

Mr Fred describes it better than I ever could in his latest,“Payback’s a Bitch”: Rural Wisdom and the Gathering Storm”

When the federal government and the talking heads want to ban my past—here, permit me to exit momentarily the fraudulent objectivity of literature—I hate the sonsofbitches.

A lot of people quietly hate the sonsofbitches.

To them, to us, the Confederate flag stands for resistance to control from afar, to meddling and instruction from people we detest. It is the flag of “Leave me the hell alone.” And this Washington, Boston, and New York will…not…do.

A surprise may be coming.

What is the anger about? Most visibly, but far from uniquely, race: the illegals, the Knock-Out game, and Washington’s protection of both. The racial hostility that pervades the country today is largely the doing of the talking heads and its perverse social policies. The rancor is unlike anything I have seen.

[…]

But look what happened. We now see forced hiring of the incompetent as a right, endless accounts of blacks destroying shopping malls, burning cities, brutally attacking whites in gangs, and the giving to blacks of anything they want because they are black. You don’t like the Confederate flag, Jesse? Why then, it must go. Whatever you say, Jesse.

It wasn’t this way, but it is now. It is getting worse. But there is far more than race.  We now are compelled to live in a national sexual-freak show. Day after day after day the media are full of trans-this and trans-that, of homosexual marriages, all thrust in our faces, a parade of prancing peculiarities demanding and demanding and demanding. People who dare not say so are sick of it.

[…]

Any sexual predilection can be called natural, and arguments can be made for all of them: Polygamy, or marriage with a sheep, or copulating on a public bus, or sex with girls of nine years. (How about, “Sex is natural. Children are erotic: Don’t they play doctor? Little girls are only afraid of it because of puritanical conditioning by society. Oral sex feels good, and adults do it, so why not…? Why shouldn’t her father gently teach her….” And so on.)

And crime is out of control, protected by a President and Attorney General with whom we, so many Americans,  have nothing in common, who dislike us,  and who want to disarm us and flood our country with illegal and incompatible aliens.

[…]

I could go on. There is quiet fury about open borders, the forced acceptance of criminal aliens, of 100,000 Somalis by Minnesota, the endless wars, the declining standard of living, the insane censorship (say “nigger” and your career of thirty years ends) and the ungodly surveillance. Washington pushes, pushes, and pushes, thinking that with just enough pressure, we will all come to kowtow.

What if one day we don’t?

[…]

Maybe Washington will always get away with it. Maybe it won’t. White Americans are an obedient and passive people, easily cowed, but maybe enough will prove enough. Maybe things will blow. Maybe jurisdictions will just ignore the feds, as begins to happen.

But it is dangerous. The economy declines, people out of college can’t get jobs, the ghettoes simmer, automation surges across the board, and one day soon we will have cutbacks in the entitlements. When groups begin competing for dwindling resources, things will get ugly. It could explode. It really could. You might be surprised how many people out there think, “Bring it on.” Not a good idea, but we go that way.

Tick Tick. Tick.

I think a new Confederacy that includes like-minded rebels of ALL RACES should band together to fight the lies of the Empire. I would embrace the Dixie Flag as the symbol, or let’s make another one. Whatever. But that Battle Flag is recognized and was used for the very same thing. Seems like the perfect image to represent rebels everywhere.

Chavez Laid To Rest by Steve Lendman

Chavez

Chavez Laid To Rest

by Stephen Lendman

He died on March 5. Smart money says Obama killed him. His death was very suspicious. A previous article discussed it.

Hopefully forensic evidence will prove what many people believe.

He meant so much to so many. He spoke in language people understood.

He meant what he said. He kept promises made. He championed social democracy. Venezuelans have the real thing.

Progressive Radio News Hour regular James Petras discussed his legacy. He calls him a “21st century renaissance man.”

He was “unique.” He made a difference. He contributed hugely to advancing humanity. He did so “in the spheres of political economy, ethics and international law and in defining relations between political leaders and citizens.”

He cared. He showed it. No one anywhere matched him. He believed popular needs matter more than power. He transformed Venezuela from neoliberal harshness to social democracy.

He was reelected overwhelmingly four times. In 2006, his landslide topped all presidential victories in US history.

Except for the close race in 1812 and 1800 deadlock, Jefferson/Madison Democrat-Republicans dominated US elections. It remained so through 1820.

James Monroe ran virtually unopposed. He won over 80% of the vote. Like Washington, he wasn’t elected. He was coronated.

Competitive elections began in 1824. From then to Chavez’s 2006 near 63% majority, his victory margin exceeded all US presidents. His popularity was overwhelming. It was so for good reason.

He governed democratically. He engaged Venezuelans responsibly. He “invited comments and criticism,” said Petras. He challenged imperial Washington. “You don’t fight terrorism with state terrorism,” he said. These type comments infuriated Washington.

He abhorred violence and war. He championed peaceful conflict resolution. Straightaway in office he began implementing his vision.

He let Venezuelans decide whether to convene a National Constituent Assembly. At issue was drafting a new constitution. Chavez believed in Bolivarian change.

Venezuelans agreed. They approved overwhelmingly. Three months later, National Assembly elections followed. Chavistas won 95% of the seats.

They drafted a Bolivarian constitution. A second referendum followed. Venezuelans again overwhelmingly approved. Historic provisions became law.

No constitution anywhere matches it. It’s a living document. Venezuelans cherish it. It shames America’s.

Articles 83 – 85 mandate quality healthcare. It’s called a “fundamental social right and…responsibility of the state…to guarantee it…to improve the quality of life and common welfare.”

It established national public health. It’s proscribed from being privatized.

Other provisions mandate participatory democracy, quality education to the highest levels, free speech, indigenous rights, housing assistance, social security pensions and more.

Articles 166 – 192 established citizen assemblies. They constitute grassroots participatory democracy. So do thousands of communal councils. Over 30,000 exist. They empower local citizens.

Ordinary people elect their own representatives. They do so throughout the country. What they say matters. They contribute to Bolivarian fairness.

The Law of Communal Councils “represent(s) the means through which the organized masses can take over the direct administration of the policies and projects that are created in response to the needs and aspirations of the communities, in the construction of a fair and just society.”

Social missions were established. Ordinary Venezuelans benefit enormously. Innovative programs include healthcare, education, food, housing, land reform, job training, micro-credit, and more.

Thousands of worker cooperatives exist. Ordinary Venezuelans manage them. Instead of a job, they’re owners. They benefit from profits earned.

At the same time, Chavez championed worker rights. He encouraged trade unionism. America wages war on labor. At issue is destroying decades of hard won rights. Obama’s in the forefront doing so.

Chavez instilled “solidarity and mutual support,” said Petras. He changed Venezuela’s power balance. He shifted it from ruling elites and corrupt politicians to ordinary people.

Petras said his greatest contribution perhaps was believing “that many of the most challenging contemporary political and economic problems can be successfully resolved.”

Nothing is more challenging than transforming longstanding money power-run states to socially democratic ones. Chavez “largely succeeded,” said Petras.

He radically changed Venezuela progressively. His redistributive policies work. He used the nation’s oil wealth responsibly.

He increased social spending over 60%. FY 2013 spending is budgeted to rise another one-third. Income inequality is Latin America’s lowest. Before Chavez, it was the highest.

Poverty fell from 60% to 26%. Extreme poverty decreased from over 16% to 7%.

He grew the economy impressively. Economic growth in 2011 was 4.8%. In 2012, it was 5.6%. Forecasts estimate 6% in 2013.

Nationalized oil, telecommunications, electricity, cement, steel, and other sectors let Venezuela regain economic sovereignty.

Chavez created jobs. Unemployment dropped from 14.5% to 6.4%. Venezuelans receive Latin America’s highest minimum wage.

Women without income and disabled people get 60% of minimum wage support.

Chavez withdrew Venezuela from IMF/World Bank debt peonage. The nation’s debt is about 20% of GDP. America’s exceeds 100%. It rises exponentially annually.

Child mortality fell from 20 per 1,000 to 10. Child malnutrition declined from 21% to less then 3%. Five million children get free meals in school. Life expectancy rose from 72.2 to 74.3.

Around 95% of Venezuelans have access to safe drinking water. Pre-Chavez, it was 82%.

Hundreds of thousands of new homes were built. Commerce, communications, construction, and manufacturing grew impressively. Venezuela has the world’s largest oil reserves.

Around 2.5 million acres of land were returned to aboriginal people. About 7.5 million overall were redistributed. Doing so lets tens of thousands of farmers own their own land.

Chavez eradicated illiteracy. Doing so shames America. Around 32 million Americans can’t read. Forty-eight million do so below a fifth grade level. Computer and math skills are sorely lacking.

Inner city schools don’t teach. Two-thirds of students can’t read proficiently. One in four children grow up unable to read.

America is the only OECD country where the current generation is worse off than previous ones. Prioritizing war and corporate favoritism explains why.

Venezuelan democracy is the world’s best. It’s real. It’s unmatched. Its elections are open, free and fair. Venezuelans are automatically enfranchised at birth.

Its Law of Social Responsibility affirms free expression without censorship, respect for human rights, Venezuelan cultural values, a balance between public duties and private rights, and citizen participation in national affairs.

Chavez championed fair trade. ALBA (the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas) reflects it. It’s comprehensive, bold and innovative. It’s mutually beneficial. It’s polar opposite NAFTA, FTAA, and one-way bilateral agreements.

It’s based on complementarity (not competition), solidarity (not domination), cooperation (not exploitation) and respect for each nation’s sovereignty. It’s free from the control of other nations and large corporations.

Venezuela joined with Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay in establishing Mercosur. It hopes doing so will strengthen ALBA.

In December 2006, Chavez proposed establishing a Bank of the South (Banco del Sur). Doing so is an alternative to Western debt slavery.

A November 2007 summit launched it. In September 2009, it was established. Its members include Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, Uruguay and Paraguay. Plans are to increase initial capitalization.

Member countries pledge to contribute. Full operations are expected to begin later this year. At issue is representing the needs of the South and contributing to its development.

Chavez urged Latin American integration. UNASUR (Union of South American Nations) was another initiative.

Members include Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay (suspended after its 2012 coup), Chile, Guyana, and Suriname.

Petrocaribe lets most Caribbean states buy Venezuelan oil on preferential terms.

Chavez proved challenging neoliberalism works. Petras calls doing so a major 21st century “breakthrough.” His legacy is “multi-faceted. His contributions are original, theoretical and practical.”

They matter. They’re “universally relevant.” They work. Chavismo lives! Bolivarianism’s institutionalized!

Chavez was “a complete political leader,” said Petras. His stature is unmatched. He’s the most important figure of our time. What he achieved won’t die.

Chavistas promise to carry the torch. Preserving and strengthening Bolivarian achievements matter most.

A Final Comment

On March 5, Chavez died. His body lay in half open coffin. It was on display in Caracas’ Fuerte Tiuna Military Academy. Over five million Venezuelans queued for hours.

They came to honor him. They paid their last respects. They said farewell.

On March 15, 10 days of official mourning ended. Hundreds of thousands of red-shirted Chavistas filled Caracas streets.

A formal procession followed. Chavez’s body was transferred to the 4th February Museum of Military History (Barracks on the Mountain). He’ll remain there for now.

It’s where Chavez launched his February 4, 1992 revolt against neoliberal harshness. Years later he succeeded.

Regional leaders paid their last respects. Acting President Nicolas Maduro said:

“Mission accomplished Comandante! Fully accomplished: with pain, with sacrifice, not even sickness stopping him. Nothing stopped him, and no one is going to stop our people.”

Viva Chavez! Millions of Venezuelans resolve never to let his legacy die. They’re courageous. They’ll put their bodies on the line to assure it.

B’Man’s Comment:

Of course, you hear the government and media lap-dogs demonize and denigrate Chavez. That is to be expected. However, when the likes of Alex Jones and Mike Rogers (Alex’s lapdog) come out spewing the same rhetoric that the government and media vomits (Chavez was a tyrant and Fascist Socialist, etc), does that not make you question their motive and purpose? Just like their other disinformation that has many of you brainwashed, when has the government and official sources ever told you the truth?

So, you disbelieve ALMOST everything they tell you, but this, you believe? The fact is that they lie to you about EVERYTHING.

By virtually every metric, Chavez and the Bolivarian movement (now embraced by the mass majority of Venezuelans)  has been FOR the people and NOT for giant corporations. Now, why in hell would you not want something similar for the people of America? What idiotic thought process does it take for you to continue being ripped off and your life made a living hell by believing and supporting what the government and lying media tells you, compared to what has been achieved in Venezuela?

What, you don’t want better education? Life expectancy? True participatory democracy? True “free-speech”?

Seriously. WTF is wrong with you?

Thanks to Steve Lendman for his efforts to help us understand the true nature of Chavez.

Support Your Local Terrorist Government

This graphic says it all:

How many of you can honestly argue that our government is not terrorists?

Of course it is so much bigger than Iran. The Empire’s lust for Iran is really as much of a side issue as anything else. The real enemies in our sights are much bigger and badder.

Even out former elected officials are saying such (according to Washington’s Blog). Lt. Gen William Odom said:

Because the United States itself has a long record of supporting terrorists and using terrorist tactics, the slogans of today’s war on terrorism merely makes the United States look hypocritical to the rest of the world.

To have any American insist that we are not an Empire or that we are justified in what we do because we are America (or whatever insane idea you might have), if you simply put the shoe on the other foot, you will quickly notice how hypocritical that notion is. We would never allow anyone to tell us what to do and how to act (except when it comes to the bidding of Israel). It is worldwide and don’t think for a second that our neighbors won’t be getting some soon.

Steve Lendman explains that Chavez is next on our side of the world:

Just read thru the list of accusations that America has sided Venezuela with and I challenge you to see if these accusations are really us looking at a mirror. The fact is that no matter how much the MSM and the criminals in charge of our politics tell us how bad Chavez and Venezuela is, the truth is that America is the world’s only real threat. We would do good to emulate what Venezuelans have done over the past decade.

In highlighting Venezuela’s Constitution, Steve lets us know what the agenda for that true, democratic country (as opposed to the Fascist state we live in) is. Maybe we should change ours, since the criminals have now made it basically null and void. we could start with their preamble:

Its Preamble “establish(ed) a democratic, participatory and self-reliant, multiethnic and multicultural society in a just, federal and decentralized State that embodies the values of freedom, independence, peace, solidarity, the common good, the nation’s territorial integrity, comity and the rule of law for this and future generations.”

It also “guarantees the right to life, work, learning, education, social justice and equality, without discrimination or subordination of any kind; promotes peaceful cooperation among nations and further strengthens Latin American integration in accordance with the principle of nonintervention and national self-determination of the people, the universal and indivisible guarantee of human rights, the democratization of imitational society, nuclear disarmament, ecological balance and environmental resources as the common and inalienable heritage of humanity….”

Sounds to me that Obama (or any of the current criminal elite) could learn something from these people.

Oh Say Can You See, That Americans Are Blinded By Bullshit?

We’ve been told by the maniacs and murderers that the towel heads hate us for our freedoms and want to stop freedom from occurring in America. At least, this is one of many reasons for the American Empire given to the stooges who still believe the bullshit.

OK.

So, who in the world “loves us” for those very same freedoms?

(Crickets chirp as I await that answer)

How many Iraqis do you think love us and our brand of “freedom”? Afghanis? Libyans? Egyptians? Iranians? Chinese? Russians? Others dominated by the “Empire of Freedom” (which includes what turns out to be the entire globe, with just a handful of exceptions, including Israel)?

I used to be patriotic. I used to believe the crap. Then I truly began to pay attention and saw the lie almost immediately. So, why aren’t you paying attention?

For the love of “freedom”

I wonder how many rednecks have stood in line to enjoy the above taint-show personally? Not worried? So, will you submit at the TSA highway stop or the mall crotch search when you are looking for that perfect Christmas gift? Of course you will.

Why?

Only you can put a stop to it.

Noor gives us a good understanding of what American “Freedom” really is at her latest post, “Are You A Slave Of The System?”

Dr Paul Craig Roberts expresses just how lost Americans are on this “hot air day” in his post, “Can Americans Escape Deception?“.

In a single word answer, Dr Roberts…

No.

A little stirring of the hornets nest.

Been doing some reading. Visited Petes blog at Drug WarRant.  A guy that goes by malcolmkyle left a comment about stirring the hornet’s nest. It’s over at NewsBusters about Arianna Huffington: Drug War a ‘War on Our Own People’

Heres a snippet of the comments going on there:

Some simple facts:

* Colombia, Peru, Mexico or Afghanistan with their coca leaves, marijuana buds or poppy sap are not igniting temptation in the minds of our weak, innocent citizens. These countries are duly responding to the enormous demand that comes from within our own borders. Invading or destroying these countries, thus creating more hate, violence, instability, injustice and corruption, will not fix our problem.

* A rather large majority of people will always feel the need to use drugs such as heroin, opium, nicotine, amphetamines, alcohol, sugar, or caffeine.

* The massive majority of adults who use drugs do so recreationally – getting high at the weekend then up for work on a Monday morning.

* Apart from the huge percentage of people addicted to both sugar and caffeine, a small minority of adults (nearly 5%) will always experience the use of drugs as problematic. – approx. 3% are dependent on alcohol and approx. 1.5% are dependent on other drugs such as methamphetamine, cocaine, heroine etc.

* Just as it was impossible to prevent alcohol from being produced and used in the U.S. in the 1920s, so too, it is equally impossible to prevent any of the aforementioned drugs from being produced, distributed and widely used by those who desire to do so.

* Prohibition kills more people and ruins more lives than the drugs it prohibits.

* Prescription drugs kill over 200,000 Americans every year– even when taken as directed and not abused.

* Due to Prohibition (historically proven to be an utter failure at every level), the availability of most of these mood-altering drugs has become so universal and unfettered that in any city of the civilized world, any one of us would be able to procure practically any drug we wish within an hour.

* Throughout history, the prohibition of any mind-altering substance has always exploded usage rates, overcrowded jails, fueled organized crime, created rampant corruption of law-enforcement – even whole governments, while inducing an incalculable amount of suffering and death.

* Apart from the fact that the DEA is the de facto enforcement wing of the pharmaceutical industry, the involvement of the CIA in running Heroin from Vietnam, Southeast Asia and Afghanistan and Cocaine from Central America has been well documented by the 1989 Kerry Committee report, academic researchers Alfred McCoy and Peter Dale Scott, and the late journalist Gary Webb.

* It’s not even possible to keep drugs out of prisons, but prohibitionists wish to waste trillions of dollars in an utterly futile attempt to keep them off our streets.

* The United States jails a larger percentage of its own citizens than any other country in the world, including those run by the worst totalitarian regimes, yet it has far higher use/addiction rates than most other countries.

* Prohibition is the “Goose that laid the golden egg” and the lifeblood of terrorists as well as drug cartels. Both the Taliban and the terrorists of al Qaeda derive their main income from the prohibition-inflated value of the opium poppy. An estimated 44 % of the heroin produced in Afghanistan, with an estimated annual destination value of US $ 27 Billion, transits through Pakistan. Prohibition has essentially destroyed Pakistan’s legal economy and social fabric. – We may be about to witness the planet’s first civil war in a nation with nuclear capabilities. – Kindly Google: ‘A GLOBAL OVERVIEW OF NARCOTICS-FUNDED TERRORIST GROUPS’ Only those opposed, or willing to ignore these facts, want things the way they are.

* The future depends on whether or not enough of us are willing to take a long look at the tragic results of prohibition. If we continue to skirt the primary issue while refusing to address the root problem then we can expect no other result than a worsening of the current dire situation. – Good intentions, wishful thinking and pseudoscience are no match for the immutable realities of human nature.

Never have so many been endangered and impoverished by so few so quickly!

* The urge to save humanity is almost always a false-face for the urge to rule it. – H. L. Mencken (1880-1956) American editor, essayist and philologist.

On the contrary, Arianna, Whitney seems to have lived exactly the life of  legalized drugs.

Exactly.  Essentially, drugs

Exactly.  Essentially, drugs are as if they were legal in the entertainment  industry and the music business.  If you want to see what would happen to the  general population under drug legalization, just look at those two  industries.

Last  time I checked these industries were both very successful!

You Prohibitionists dance hand in hand with every possible type of criminal  one can imagine.

An unholy alliance of ignorance, greed and hate which works to destroy all  our hard fought freedoms, wealth and security.

We will always have adults who are too immature to responsibly deal with  tobacco alcohol, heroin amphetamines, cocaine, various prescription drugs and  even food. Our answer to them should always be: “Get a Nanny, and stop turning  the government into one for the rest of us!”

Nobody wants to see an end to prohibition because they want to use drugs.  They wish to see proper legalized regulation because they are witnessing, on a  daily basis, the dangers and futility of prohibition. ‘Legalized Regulation’  won’t be the complete answer to all our drug problems, but it’ll greatly  ameliorate the crime and violence on our streets, and only then can we provide  effective education and treatment.

The whole nonsense of ‘a disaster will happen if we end prohibition’  sentiment sums up the delusional ‘chicken little’ stance of those who foolishly  insist on continuing down this blind alley. As if a disaster isn’t already  happening. As if prohibition has ever worked.

To support prohibition is such a strange mind-set. In fact, It’s outrageous  insanity!  –Literally not one prohibitionist argument survives scrutiny. Not  one!

The only people that believe prohibition is working are the ones making a  living by enforcing laws in it’s name, and those amassing huge fortunes on the  black market profits. This situation is wholly unsustainable, and as history has  shown us, conditions will continue to deteriorate until we finally, just like  our forefathers, see sense and revert back to tried and tested methods of  regulation. None of these substances, legal or illegal, are ever going to go  away, but we CAN decide to implement policies that do far more good than  harm.

During alcohol prohibition in the 1920s, all profits went to enrich thugs and  criminals. Young men died every day on inner-city streets while battling over  turf. A fortune was wasted on enforcement that could have gone on treatment. On  top of the budget-busting prosecution and incarceration costs, billions in taxes  were lost. Finally the economy collapsed. Sound familiar?

So should the safety and freedom of the rest of us be compromised because of  the few who cannot control themselves?

Many of us no longer think it should!

If a vast majority of the public were aware of these facts, the drug war( and much more) would be over in a hurry. Thats the reason it’s not. TPTB depend on ignorance and poor information to continue their little Empire games.

Time to put an end to it all. Get the information out there, inform your self, inform those around you.

The drug war continues…er excellerates.

Been doing a lot of poking around the drug war blogs. What I’m seeing isn’t good. Its happening just as I told folks it would back when the med pot question ramped up.I kept tell folks.”Ya, start you dispensaries. Put your names on lists as med patients. Down the road when things are ripe, the Feds WILL come down on everyone getting involved. They will have your names and numbers.” well…here we are….they are cracking down. But they don’t care about people like Korn Likker or my family members and friends. The facts are out there that show our government has lied and continues to lie about cannabis. It doesn’t matter. McCarthyism and Jim Crow are standing tall these days.

Theres a good discussion over at alternet:

Either this powderkeg we call a melting pot is going to explode or I’m going to lose all faith in humanity.

Oh ..by the way… we may be headed into a ‘war’ in..you guessed it..Syria.

This could of course lead to a war in Iran.

What a wonderful world we live in.

The GUNS ARE pointed at all our heads !

I have to share this video.

Stefan feels Ron Paul can change things….something I doubt , something I doubt about any one running…but everything else he said moved me.(Sorry B’man, I think your words and math would be lost here.)

After watching it, I wanted to stand on my street and scream ” WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU !?  NO MORE FUCKING GUNS TO MY HEAD! NO MORE FUCKING CAGES ! NO MORE FUCKING FORCE !”

Of course I didn’t or I would be in a cage right now.

I’m sick of being FORCED to pay for things I DO NOT agree with because people think government is good, government is right , government is NESSESARY!

I want to STOP being punished for wanting to do what is RIGHT ! For acting in defiance and following my CONCEINCE !

So lets learn to tell people what is wrong with this world. Lets teach people how to fight these Statist!

ENOUGH !!
