I don’t know about the motivations of the people she highlights, but you gotta admit that many good points are made in this parody.

I think Sinead is pissed at white men, especially those in these white identity movement leadership roles, who are blaming white women for the demise we are seeing in white cultures of Europe and America. In many cases, they won’t explain the jew connection (some to the point of attacking white men for even pointing out there is a jewish connectionproblem). It goes without saying, Sinead took them apart in her video.

(Of course, there were many others who do NOT think of women such and are vocal about the JP)

Sadly, the ultimate problem is that “hate whitey-woman” argument is causing a rift within the movement which may lead not only to isolation for the outfit she is a part of, but unnecessarily more for otherwise agreeable allies. Already, John Kaminski and Renegade had a falling out over details surrounding this issue (Kaminski will certainly call out the jewish problem). And not that I know why John Friend stopped producing radio content for Renegade, it came on the heels of an interview John did with Sinead that was a bit heated/emotional (with both sides making good points). Again, John Friend has no problem calling out the JP (nor does he blame women, in general, for white mankind’s woes). But he did attend the NPI (National Policy Institute) conference and has some good things to say about many of the contributors there. (To me, the Trump worship at the conference was sickening)

Whether or not John and Sinead addressed this between themselves, there is a loggerhead of sorts.

On a technical note (admitting up front that I despise the music genre), I am impressed with Sinead’s ability to write and perform, with the noted technological expertise required to make these videos. Doing this kinda stuff ain’t easy.

As for my opinion on white women’s roles culminating into today’s woes? They are no more to blame than white men. We have allowed the forces to separate us, making us more vulnerable apart. There is a perception (perhaps real) that men treat women like shit and women are reciprocal. Maybe so, but it is Marxist division at its best. Attack the family unit. Destroy from within.

make_me_sandwich2

Throw in a few ugly crazies, ranting about oppression from men, abortion on demand, and equal rights to add a fake penis if they want…

Or men that treat every woman as a whore meant to conquer and cast aside in a bukake mess, use her for her money to buy skinny jeans and sport faggy hair cuts, and maybe slap her around after he gets smashed (showing how much of a man he really is)…

…leads us to today.

Glenn Frey

Glenn died yesterday. We would have never known The Eagles without Glenn. Absolutely one of my favorite southern rock/country bands.

…the cause of death was a combination of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia.

Frey had been battling intestinal issues for months and had surgery in November. We’re told in the last few days his condition took a turn for the worse. He died in New York City.

Brother Cane

brother_cane-e1401419154491

Back in the 90’s I was still going to a lot of concerts. I had seen all the southern rock bands multiple times, but then this obscure band out of Birmingham, AL hit the scene and blew me away. I was living in Huntsville, AL and saw them early on in smaller venues, but before you knew it they were opening for Big Bands like Van Halen, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Robert Plant and Ted Nugent (and others).

This is their first album and to this day stands as one of my favorite southern rock albums of all time. They produced three in total (and the others are as good).

I seriously doubt you could listen to this album without tapping your feet and bobbing your head like the old days…

Sure, you can rock out to the first song, “Got No Shame” (which really is a killer song… perhaps my favorite on the album… and I dare you to NOT play the air cow bell… I DARE YOU), but also notice that their arrangements have depth that many southern rock bands fail to achieve. They have some good harmonies, like in “Hard Act To Follow”. Listen to “Woman” and dig the musical transition halfway through (man, if that doesn’t get you jamming, nothing will). Don’t skimp out and miss “Make Your Play”.

Damn, I love a touch of harmonica in rock and roll music.

Damon Johnson has a great voice and can jam on the guitar (since the band disbanded, he has played with Alice Cooper and he now plays with Thin Lizzy).

Enjoy!

The Day Rock and Roll Killed Disco

I am basically a rocker, even though I do enjoy various forms of music. I have played Big Band music, symphonic arrangements, jazz, and country (almost anything imaginable). But I always despised disco. That is not to suggest that I didn’t participate at times, because frankly, the most beautiful women I knew were in to it and wanted someone that could dance with them.

When Saturday Night Fever hit the theaters, many women I knew (the best looking ones) seemed to gravitate towards it, so what was a young man to do? I learned the moves John Travolta used (although I tried to hide this from my male friends, especially the rockers) and then the women were all over me, instead of me pursuing them.

So, when the rock world attacked disco, I had mixed feelings (not that I had come to enjoy the music, but because I enjoyed the company). But deep down, I was glad it was being attacked by the “Disco Sucks” crowd (and I even bought a t-shirt to wear to support the final deadly assault, which may have been initiated in Chicago, at a baseball stadium). Best I can tell, this is one of the finest things baseball has ever done for the world.

In the late 1970s, disco had a sizable number of vocal and venomous detractors. One notable critic of the genre was Chicago rock radio DJ Steve Dahl, who became popular for his “Disco Sucks” stance. Knowing that Dahl was popular and people genuinely didn’t like disco, the son of the owner of the Chicago White Sox, Mike Veeck, thought that it would be a good promotional idea to host a Disco Sucks night. On July 12, 1979, Dahl’s listeners could get into the doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers for 98 cents. They were also required to bring a disco record with them because Dahl was going to blow up a pile of disco records.

Veeck didn’t think the promotion would be that popular, so he hired enough security to handle about 35,000 people. But Veeck underestimated people’s hatred of disco. Over 60,000 people showed up. Some even brought ladders and climbed fences to get in.

During the first game, the crowd seemed rowdy. The Tigers won, but that wasn’t the spark that set everything off. That happened when Dahl blew up the records as planned. After the explosion, people poured out onto the field and started trashing the stadium. Both Dahl and Veeck tried to calm the crowd, but they failed. The rioters literally stole bases, tore apart batting cages, and set fire to banners.

Amazingly, during the riot, only one person was hurt: a vendor who broke his hip. Despite it being a destructive riot, it was relatively peaceful. Veeck believed this was due to the marijuana that people were smoking. He compared it to the much more violent beer promotion in 1974 in Cleveland, where they sold beer for 10 cents a cup. That somehow got out of hand.

In total, 39 people were arrested for the Disco Sucks riot. Veeck considered the promotion a success because people still remember it 30 years later.
